Regarding Change Tracker Query/Results

Hi All
Can you please tell me what does this query do and also what parameters to be replaced with the original query. Please revert ASAP. We need to configure the Change Tracker and we are not aware of the actual process of doing that while we are having the standard SAP documentation for the same.
Procedure of locating the MDM Change Tracking Connection Parameter:
1. Located on the same DBMS Server as the MDM repository
2. The name of the main Connection Parameter is <name>_m000 and the name of the corresponding Change Tracking Connection Parameter is <name>_z000
3. The following statement can assist in finding the Change Tracking Connection Parameter:
*SELECT CATALOG_TAG Repository, MAINDB Main DB,replace(replace(MAINDB,'_M','_z'),'_m','_z') Change Tracking DB FROM A2I_XCAT_DBS.A2I_CATALOGS*
4. Find table with the name A2i_CM_History

  • Query Regarding Query Results in CMC 3.1

    Hi,
I want to check what reports are scheduled in particular folder. To get this information we can use query builder by writing a query, but i don't have access to query builder.
Can we check in CMC without access to query builder?I have seen one option In CMC 'Query Results'. What exactly Query results do and how to use.Can this be use to retrieve what reports are scheduled?
    Regards
    Ranjith

    Hi Ranjith,
Query Results option in CMC is an application through which you could create Security Queries. It would help you identify the security setup and access being setup on the objects in your enviornment.

  • Managing a query result through several web pages

    Hi,
I wonder what's the best way to manage a query result through several web
    pages in the following context.
The query result is large and needs to be available through several web
pages. The user can scroll forward and backward through the pages.
    One can :
    - rerun the query at each web request and use random access
    - run the query once for the first request, keep the pm and the query
somewhere (in a singleton class for example with a key in the HTTP
session) and use random access for handling the other requests (the
problems I see are to keep a connection for each user in this use case and
to decide when to close the previously mentioned objects)
    - rerun the query at each web request, including in the filter a test on a
field and an ordering to start the results from the last one displayed
(being able to specify the maximum number of rows desired would be nice).
Thanks for any advice or suggestion.
    Regards.

I think Frank's suggestion is probably the best tradeoff between memory
consumption (which would be high if you were to store the enire query
result in the session) and performance (which might be hurt if you
    re-issue the query every time).
Note that Kodo 3.0 will provide a getObjectsById(Object[] ids) method
that should help in quickly instantiating a page of query results.
Query result limiting is currently under discussion for inclusion in the
JDO specification. We may have something for this in an upcoming Kodo
    release (although not for 3.0).

(using pm.getObjectId()). We store this list on the session and only
instantiate the objects we need for a particular page (using
pm.getObjectById()). When a user does something that could possibly
change the query result, we rerun the query and replace the list on the

  • 2.1EA2: Pinning Query Results and changing Connections [fixed in 2.1.0]

I am on 2.1EA2 (JDK 1.6.0_16) and been playing with the new SQL Worksheet pin query results functionality. I have found that it is possible to run a query against one connection, pin the results and then change connection and run the same (or a different) query against another connection. I really like this, but found a few problems:
#1 There doesn't seem to be any way to tell which connection a query result tab was actually run against
#2 Even if all rows are fetched, if I then disconnect from the first connection it can get quite messy. Sometimes I get an empty connection dialog (I can't remember the exact title and it doesn't reproduce consistently) with only the close window X in the corner. Some times I get prompted to log in with a connection information dialog with no reference to the connection it is connecting to - cancelling only brings up the same dialog again until I successfully connect. Some times I get prompted to log in and while that is still on the screen, SQL Developer logs me back in to the connection (even though I don't save passwords) - I even get a new worksheet for the reconnected connection.
    theFurryOne

    Raghu,
    I am happy with both.
#1 - I would be happy if the connection name was at the start of the tool-tip style pop-up when hovering over Query Results tab and the Query Result SQL dialog that opens on the SQL button. -K-'s suggestion makes it immediately obvious for the currently selected Query Results tab, without having to move the mouse or click on something.
Ideally, I would like something similar for the other output tabs (ie Script Output), but they seem to show results for all connections that the worksheet has used, so the same concept may not work.
#2 - I am used to the grid being cleared when disconnecting from earlier versions - I assumed that this was a bug where SQLD was not checking the connection of the results, just the current connection of the worksheet.

well my query running successfully just the quesion was that i wanted to bring some changes in the query to retrieve the complete record which has no transaction in sales
    for exmple
    if i write the quey
    select dept.deptno,sum(sal) from emp,dept
    where dept.deptno = emp.deptno
    group by dept.deptno
    the recult comes as
    DEPTNO SUM(SAL)
    10 8750
    20 10875
    30 9400
though there is another deptno which is deptno no 40
    have no sal
and when i use this query
    select dept.deptno,sum(sal) from emp,dept
    where dept.deptno = emp.deptno(+)
    group by dept.deptno
it shows the dept no 40 also
    DEPTNO SUM(SAL)
    10 8750
    20 10875
    30 9400
    40
so to get this i posted query which was to long to understand easily.
i accept that i sholud post short query to make other understand
    so check out this
select STOCK_rEG.item_code AS ITEM_CODE,SUM(qty) as qty

    AND RETURN_DATE = '01-APR-08'
    GROUP BY STOCK_rEG.item_code
    ORDER BY TO_NUMBER(ITEM_CODE) ASC
when i execute this query i get the following result
    ITEM_CODE QTY
    84 2
    102 3
    108 3
    116 6
    166 3
    170 3
thoug there is other items are aalso available in stock which transaction
yet not been done or not been sold out/
so when i use the outer join i get the same result
select STOCK_rEG.item_code AS ITEM_CODE,SUM(qty) as qty
    FROM
    SALES_DETAILR,SALES_HEADERR,STOCK_REG
    WHERE SALES_DETAILR.SR_ID = SALES_HEADERR.SR_ID AND

  • Changing a Query do not show Results in the PLD Format

    Hello Experts!!
I have a PLD report,  and I changed the query a BIt
let say  the oiginal query is  select 'HELLO' from OINV where DocEntry between 100 and 110
but then I Changed to +select 'HELLO' + World' from OINV where DocEntry between 100 and 110+
But The PLD do not reload Data,  there is any way to change this?

    Gordon Thanks for your answer,
but maybe i didnt explain myself clear.
    let me explain a bit:
When you create a Query in the Query Manager,   you can create a Print Layout.
    then you can modify in
         Tools>Queries>Query Print Layout
but that Layout is related to the Query  you just did.
but when you change the query the Layout wont change ...
I think SAP  do not work well with this,  I think that Query Manager shoud have and Update button  and then  go and upate the query in PLD ...  well thats all

  • Message tracking max results returned

    Hi All,
On message tracking page the predefined max rsults returned value only have 3 options 250, 500 and 1000. May i know how can i increase query setting more than 1000 results return.
    Regards,
    Rock

    Hi Rock,
You cannot increase the query to more than 1000, but you can change your other parameters.  For example, you could change the date scope until you get down to under 1000 results.
You will have to run multiple queries to pull all the data you're looking for, but unless/until they change the maximum results this will give you a workaround.
    Thanks,
    Rachel

  • Changing the query on a view object

I have a view object right now, based on an entity. It is the default view object, so that means the query in the view object is straight forward, it grabs all of the attributes from the table. And there is no WHERE clause.
In reality I only want to show a finite set of rows from my table. Every time a record is changed/edited in this entity and committed, a new row in the database is created with the same information (I'm using CreateWithParams) except for a few columns.
I actually don't really have update on this table, just creation of new rows. But to the user, I want it to 'look' like they are editing something in the table.
    Example:
12, 11:32,Thompson, 60 (the user edits this information in an adf table, and a new row is created in the db)
    12, 11:55, Thompson, 75
I have a timestamp (see above) field in the database that is used as part of my primary key, so that I know which record is the latest.
When the VO query is run, I want the user to only see the latest row from the db.
    12, 11:55, Thompson, 75
    So...
I went to my VO, and I changed the WHERE query to add this:
    where t1.TimeStamp = (Select MAX(t2.TimeStamp) FROM rcl.x t2 where t1.uid = t2.uid);
Now, this isn't a mysql/sql question. There's actually a better query that I'd rather run, but the VO editor doesn't allow me to change the query itself....
When I save the new WHERE to my VO, run my page again, I get the expected result (showing me only the latest records).
However, when I try and sort on the table in which my data is displayed, I am now getting ORDER BY errors.
I don't want my VO to be read-only sql based. I want to be able to update my table, so I have my VO running off of the entity.
Why doesn't the VO allow me to change the query itself? (Like do a subquery, instead of having my where clause do the work)
Why are order by errors being thrown when I sort on my adf table after changing the where clause in my view?
Hopefully I wasn't too convoluted in the explanation of my problem..
    Thanks in advance,
    Joel

    HI Joe,
Regarding your problem you can do one of the following tasks:
1- easily to tuning on your view object, I mean in the tuning page of the view you can set that only return 1 record or 2-3 record fetch not all the record.
in the order by you will order by the timestamp field and descending.
2- you can order by the timestamp descending and in the where clause only set the rownum<2 (will return the last record) you can also set rownum<5 and get the 4 last record etc.
3-editing the view query in the expert mode is not advised at all because of many consequences that you will face.
4- maybe it is not bat that you add a readonly view for the table you mentioned and every time you unpdate the entity just re-execute the read-only view.( this method maybe is good maybe is not it depends on your business logic)
    Regards.

  • Issue in Change tracker application

    Hi all,
We have enabled Change tracking in our repository when it was enabled there were only 3 Display fields in our repository and the tracking was done as is in the change tracking application under the column Record shows all the Display fields.
Now because of business requirements we have activated another field in our repository as a Display field, now when i login to change tracking application old records under Record column still shows the 3 Display fields in the Record column of the change tracker application.
I went and changed a record which falls in the Change tracking criteria, now i see 4 Display fields in the Record column of change tracker application as there are 4 display fields currently.
There is an in consistency in the data in the application now for few records there are 3  and 4 fields in the record column. Is this how the system behaves?
I think the logic is like this when ever there is a change happening in the repository, insert query is used to update the A2I_CM_History table with the existing data(at that moment how many fields were enabled as  DISPLAY )with out any relationship to the Main table Display fields. Please correct me if i am wrong, it was just an assumption.
If any workarounds to this problem will be of a great help.
    regards
    Sowseel

    Hi Gabor,
    Thanks for your reply!
We have checked that note and we have indexes existing for few other fields as well in the table, but still we are facing the same issue.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ravi

Closing/reopening SQL Developer doesn't help.  I've restarted my PC and the results do appear, but then the same error appears again.
Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks.

    Hi Jon_Male,
    A couple of points:
    1. Your release is a bit out-of-date, plus it seems to be an early adopter release rather than the 3.0 production release (3.0.04.34).
    2. The following old forum post discusses the same behavior occurring after an OutOfMemory error: exclamation mark on script output tab

  • Refresh characteristic texts in query result without logoff in Bex 7.0

    Dear Experts,
I'm using a query in BEx 7.0 and switched off all caching parameters in RSRT. For instantly reloading values from Cube/DSO this is working fine.
Some of my characteristics are shown as key + text in query result. Unfortulately these texts are not updated during the query reloads. I do not want the user to logoff / logon the report to get the updated texts.
Interestingly, after a refresh the texts for those characteristics are updated immediately for all filter items, but not in the result area.
Could you give me a hint, how I will be able to refresh those characteristic texts as same as the values in the infoprovider? E.g. using VBA makros or by customizing of specific workbook settings?
    Thanks for your help!
    Kind regards,
    Tim

    Hi,

My post from today was also going in this topic.
In Bex update after attribute change run
The setting of this paramter I mentioned there could maybe help in your case.
transaction "RS_FRONTEND_INIT" add the parameter "ANA_ENHANCE_REFRESH" with value "X"
o Open the analyzer and connect to system to open WB
o Click on the refresh button
o New functionallity "Full Refresh Of Active Queries" is now available.

  • Bica: change the query cause error in the pas model

    Dear  friends,
We have very simple scenario: one query 'SSM_SQL_KPI_MAY'' for feeding  the pas model- 2 demensions and 2 measures. With this query I load the schema and data to the pas model.Everithing was fine. After that we added new  dimension to the query.Ichanged the  existing query and load the data with bica. But when I try to open the model I get the next  error every time
    DAT316:
No internal Dimenson unique name to position cache exists for 'EZOR_KEY' on Linkid 'BI' Cube 'SSMKPI/SSM_SQL_KPI_MAY'
We try to resolve the issue by deleting data and schema but every time I get the same error.
How is it possible to resolve this issue?
What is a best practice in the case of changing queries working with bica?
    Thanks.
    Best regards,Orit.

    Dear Orit,
Keep in mind that dimensions provided by a BICA query connection must have a HIERARCHY associated to the base characteristic in BW. PAS uses this hierarchy to define the "Result" (rollup) levels of the dimension. Check your BW query and verifiy that all the included dimensions have associated hierarchies in use. I'm guessing this is the issue with your new dimension.
You can also check the dimensions in PAS by selecting your model, then "Dimensions" and right-clicking on the affected dimension name and then the "View" option (or "List" or something related to displaying the dimension definition). You should see a PAS script that describes the dimension, including the dimension member IDs, descriptions and rollup levels. This should be consistent with your query results and hierarchies).
Also, from the same menú you may also choose to "Delete" a dimension.
    Good luck!

  • Nautilus does not show Tracker search results

    Hi,
I recently installed tracker and had it index my files. After indexing had finished, I tried tracker-search and tracker-needle, both of which returned the files I was looking for. But in Nautilus, searching via CTRL+F still only returns files whose filenames are matching my query. Nautilus does not seem to integrate Tracker search results properly, as it should according to this forum thread. Tagging files via the tracker-tags plugin in Nautilus works just fine. Re-installing nautilus did not change anything.
Any ideas what could be the problem here?
    Thanks,
    mfs

Hmm, I think it is supposed to use tracker if installed. At least nautilus has a build option called enable-tracker which is set to auto by default (I also compiled it with enable-tracker=yes but nothing changed). Also, "wonder" said in the thread quoted above that nautilus would use tracker and find only as fallback.

I enabled the profile from SQL job properties also.
    Any thoughts on this?

    Hi Logicinisde,
According to your description, if you run the scripts in the SSMS, it can send an email with HTML format to your mailbox. When you run this scripts by using SQL Server Agent job, it can show running successfully but you could not get any email. We need to
verify if you select the correct Mail profile. After configuring the alert system, restart the SQL Server Agent service. If you experience any problems sending e-mail notifications through the SQL Server Agent, check the service account that the agent is running.
If the SQL Server Agent is running with one of the built-in accounts like the Local System account, resources outside the SQL Server machine will be unavailable. This includes SMTP mail servers that are on other machines. If this is the case, change the service
account for the SQL Server Agent to a domain account to resolve this issue.
