Regarding conert the object to XML file

Hi all
i want to convert the object to XML file in my application.plz give me the sample code
Thanks in advance

Or you could make your object JavaBean compliant and save it using XMLEncoder and reload it by using XMLDecoder.
To be JavaBean compliant you basically need a no arg constructor and getters and setters for all fields you want to keep.

    Hi
    I want to create a value object from Xml file dynamically,like in the xml file i have the name of the variable and the datatype of the variable.is it possible do that,if so how.

    Read about apache's Digester tool. This is part of the Jakartha project. This tool helps in creating java objects from the XML files. I am not sure, if that is what u r looking for.

  • How is the Login-validation.xml file is called when we do the validation i

    Hi ^^,
    please forgive me if I am a big long while explaining.
    when you are using the struts 2.0 the web.xml has a welcome-file-list. I have put index.html in that list so it pulls up first.
    It has the following tag
    <ul>
              <li><a href="roseindia/showLoginClientSideValidation.action">Login Application (Client Side Validation)</a></li>
            </ul>so this maps to struts.xml which contains the showLoginClientSideValidation.action tag
    <action name="showLoginClientSideValidation">
                   <result>/pages/loginClientSideValidation.jsp</result>
            </action>
            <action name="doLoginClientSideValidation" class="net.roseindia.Login">
                <result  name="input">/pages/loginClientSideValidation.jsp</result>
                   <result  name="error">/pages/loginClientSideValidation.jsp</result>
                   <result>/pages/Loginsuccess.jsp</result>
            </action>
              this displays the jsp "loginClientSideValidation.jsp"
    once you enter the details in the jsp and click submit the control goes to Login.java file as per the mapping in struts.xml given above
    This is just a simple java file which contains the execute() method. This method returns success or error.
    If success is returned then the Loginsuccess.jsp is invoked
    If error is returned then the loginClientSideValidation.jsp is invoked
    Well so far so good
    I have also understood that to use client side validation you use validate = "true" in loginClientSideValidation.jsp
    However what I am not able to understand is how the Login-validation.xml file is being invoked
    Any help would be highly appreciated.
    thanks and regards,

    Hi ^^^,
    i found something interesting that I want to share
    Validation rules are handled by validators, which must be registered with the ValidatorFactory (using the registerValidator method). The simplest way to do so is to add a file name validators.xml in the root of the classpath (/WEB-INF/classes) that declares all the validators you intend to use.
    validators.xml if being defined should be available in the classpath. However this is not necessary, if no custom validator is needed. Webwork will automatically picked up a predefined sets of validators defined in com/opensymphony/xwork/validator/validators/default.xml packaged together in xwork jar file that comes with webwork distribution.
    So this is clear that the validators are defined in validators.xml or default.xml
    What is still not clear is how is the Login-validation.xml being called by jsp page to do verification and then linking to validators.xml to apply the rules.
    However people have been telling me that ----" Struts 2.0 have inbuilt functionalities to validate the Parameters" and that i need to
    "Define configuration file *-validation.xml or use annotations
    i) className-validation.xml
    ii) place this file in the directory where .class file is placed example.Login should have Login-validation.xml
    Do you all think is this sufficient for an answer or should my search go on?
    thanks and regards,
    Prashant

  • How to send the dynamically generated XML file to other site for further processing?

    I have a question regarding exchanging data between two systems
    using XSQL servlet. The situation is descrbed as the follows:
    Assume that we have a simple XSQL page named "emp.xsql"
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <?-- XSQL page file "emp.xsql" -->
    <xsql:query xmlns:xsql="urn:oracle-xsql" connection="demo" >
    SELECT * FROM EMP
    </xsql:query>
    and we can access it through the HTTP request likes
    http://web_server_name/xsql/emp.xsql.
    Usually we will the returned dynamic XML file and show it on the
    screen. Now the problem is that we don't want to show the
    generated XML file on the calling screen. Instead, we want to
    send the generated XML file to other website for further
    processing, say, using JSP or ASP likes
    http://other_web_server_name/XMLProcessing.jsp?.....
    How can it be implemented using XSQL servlet?
    Any hint and outline of the solution is appreciated.
    Thanks

    Ike,
    Do you have a sample. I am searched so much in this forum for samples. I looked on SAX Parser. I did not find any samples.
    Please help me.
    Thank you for your posting.

  • The Managed Bean in the faces-config.xml File

    I am still very new to JSF. I am confused about the managed bean.
    For example, I have a button in my web page. A click on this button invokes an action; say, ListAction.java.
    In this ListAction class, I instantiate a business delegate; say, ListPersonnel.java and call a method in this business delegate to return an ArrayList: personnel. Of course, this business delegate goes through facade, DAO, etc. to populate the ArrayList. This ArrayList is a collecation of a JavaBean called PersonnelBean that gets and sets a number of personnel information; such as ssn, name, etc.
    Upon this ArrayList is successfully populated and received by the ListAction class, I am going to display a web page with a table. In JSF, it is <h:dataTable ...>.
    My questions are regarding the managed bean in the faces-config.xml file.
    1. Which one is my <managed-bean-class>? packageName.ListAction? or packageName.PersonnelBean? or something else?
    2. What should be my <managed-bean-name>? I guess that I can give a name I like. Is it right? What about xyz?
    3. Then, how do I specify the "value" attribute of my <h:dataTable ...> tag when I display a web page to show the data table? Is it correct to specify value="#{xyz.personnel}"? What is the correct specification if it is wrong?
    4. I guess that I can give any name to the "var" attribute in the <h:dataTable ...> tag. Is it right?

    value="#{xyz.personnel}"? What is the correct

    4. I guess that I can give any name to the "var"

  • How to test or view data if the source is XML files..?

    Hi,
    I just got a doubt..
    How can we test or view data from BI Admintool if the source is XML files.
    If it is database we can perform "Update Row Count" or "view data" from physical layer.
    I am just going through the "sample sales" example and could not find the option to test
    connectivity with xml file..(I can see the directory which points to samplesales and xml files..
    but how can I view those data in BI admintool)..
    Help would be appreciable..
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sri.

    Hi Sri,
    Yes, this option is not available for XML and multidimensional sources. Check "Show row count in physical view" in Table 2-1 documented here ,

    Hi Lee,
    I am working on Oracle ADF 10.1.2 and getting the same problem. The lines in my struts-config.xml are as below:
    <action path="/unitsView" className="oracle.adf.controller.struts.actions.DataActionMapping" type="view.UnitsViewAction" name="DataForm" parameter="/unitsView.uix" unknown="false">
    <set-property property="modelReference" value="unitsViewUIModel"/>
    <forward name="unitsEditLink" path="/unitsEdit.do"/>
    </action>
    <action path="/unitsView" className="oracle.adf.controller.struts.actions.DataActionMapping" type="view.UnitsViewAction" name="DataForm" parameter="/unitsView.uix" unknown="false">
    <set-property property="modelReference" value="unitsViewUIModel"/>
    <forward name="unitsCreateLink" path="/unitsCreate.do"/>
    </action>
    I have two lines with [action path="/unitsView"]. The reason why is that I want the user to go to the form create screen for the create button and form edit screen for the edit button. If this does not work, it seems to mean that only a single screen can be used for create/edit functions. However, the ADF editor diagram looks perfectly to point to create.uix and edit.uix respectively.
    Please shed some light.
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Michael

  • Converting Document object into XML file

    I was wondering how to convert a document object to XML file? I have read the documentation about document and Node but nothing explains the procedure of the conversion. Ive been told that it can be done, but not sure how. I have converted an XML file into Document by parsing DocumentBuilder. Just not sure how to do the reverse. Any help appreciated.

    TransformerFactory tf = TransformerFactory.newInstance();
    Transformer trans = tf.newTransformer();
    trans.transform(new DOMSource(yourDOMsRootNode), new StreamResult(new FileOutputStream(yourFileName)));or something a lot like that.

  • Dumping the data to XML file (Event driven )

    Hi ,
    Can anybody help me on this requirement .
    Whenever there is an updation or change in the HR Master data like insertion of new personnel number or deletion of personnel number then I need to dump the data to XML file . That means I need to make it event driven.
    Will it be possible programmatically ?
    Please give me your inputs.
    Best Regards

    Hi Bhagat,
    isn't it possible to use change pointers for this?
    Then in partner profile use an XML file port and it should be done!
    Probably this blog could help you:

    Hope it helps,

  • Conversion of DOM object to XML file

    Hi
    Is there a direct method for conversion of a Document object to xml file? My code is like this
    Transformer aTransformer = tranFactory.newTransformer();
              System.out.println("Tansformers :"+aTransformer);
              aTransformer.setOutputProperty(OutputKeys.INDENT, "yes");
              DOMSource src = new DOMSource(resultDocument);
              System.out.println("src :"+src);
              Result dest = new StreamResult(new FileOutputStream(new File(filepath)));
              System.out.println("desc :"+dest);
              aTransformer.transform(src, dest);
    but the line DOMSource src = new DOMSource(resultDocument);
    is giving me an error like "undefined constrctor" . what must be the problem?
    Thanks

    DOMSource src = new DOMSource(resultDocument);
    resultDocument should be of type org.w3c.Node

  • Create the missing server.xml files yourself

    Paula and I created the missing server.xml files ourselves. The script is at the bottom of the post.
    We badly needed the missing server.xml files to work on the customizations and Oracle was unable to solve this problem.
    "I checked on our Automated Release Updates System found that we dont have server.xml that includes PosDelivSchedVO. This confirms that there is no patch available at present to provide you with this file.
    As this is not related to coding issue,Support will not be able to log a bug with Development. You may log an Enhancement Request via Metalink, so that Development would review your requirement and if feasible would include this file at the time of future releases"
