Regarding ICAL event update api

Hi All,
Please provide me the JAVA API to update a particular event from the recursive pattern. see i have done with the creating ICAL event daily/recursive into the outlook calendar using java and it is working fine. Now i want to update particular event from the recursive pattern.Actually i have built the java api which looks like out calendar and which displays the created events as like as outlook calendar - Also i have provided the button i.e. Email ICAL - when user clicks on this button then the ICAL formatted email goes to the end user account. Now from my application i want to update particular event from the series.

Now, there is a difference. What I expected it to do was to completely remove the VALARM.
Perhaps I should mail this to Apple for a fix?

ICal event times changed when my mac updated time to daylight saving time

When my mac updated its time automatically to daylight saving time, the timed events in iCal all had an hour added to them. Time zone support is off in iCal. I tried changing my time zone from the system preferences (just to see what happens) and the iCal times also change. Is there any way to turn off this ridiculous and useless (to me) feature? I travel quite a bit and all iCal events are always added in local time scheduling. So there is no need for the event times to change when I change time zone!

I am having the same problem but it's only some of the appointments that were changed. I think some were entered after the update and perhaps those weren't changed. Very confusing.

Business Events - ADDCORRELATION API

Hello,
i'm getting started with WF Business Events and i managed
to run a workflow trigering one of the seeded Business Events (update responsibility). Then i tried to use the ADD Correlation API in order to assign by myself the item key for the Workflow process generated. As suggested in the developer guide, i defined two subscription. In the one with lower cost, i used as Rule Function WF_EVENT_FUNCTIONS_PKG.ADDCORRELATION (defining, as reccomended in the guide, in Parameters field ITEMKEY=WF_EVENT_ANTONIO.GEN_ITEM_KEY) and in the subscritpion with higher cost i left empy the rule function (in order the default one to be called) and i populated (as in my first successfull test) the fields Workflow item type and Workflow item process.
Nothing Happens.
1_ Anybody knows how to debug this stuff? where i can found errors for business events mgmt system?
2_ Is correct to call as rule function, a procedure (AddCorrelation) having two in parameters? (as also deafult rule actually...)
3_ Anybody knows where i can find more detailed informations on the BES?

Ical Help needed- can not delete a four year ical event

I accidentally sent an ical event that lasts for four years and now I he cant delete it and it is taking up more and more memory on his phone as it is repeating infinitly every day?? Have tried restore but it still syncs with icloud. is there an easy solution?

First you have to know which calendar your client saved the event to. Usually by default it saves to the native Calendar app. If that is the case, he should be able to log into iCloud and delete the event (decline the invitation) from there. If your client saved the event to an external calendar that he has synched to his iPhone (Yahoo, Google, etc.) he may be able to delete it or decline it from there, which should in turn remove it from the device.
The logic here is that only the creator of the event invitation can edit the event details, so that if they do that, all of the recipients of the invitation will get the updated information automatically. I agree it leaves a lot to be desired to stick things on people's calendars that they can't at the very least just simply delete if not edit. I will no longer accept invitations directly on my device in order to avoid this. I will add the event to my calendar manually from now on.

Is there a way to automatically remove URL's from iCal events?

Is there a script or any easy way to remove URL's from iCal events? I like to print my daily calendar to insert into a small day planner but I have very long URL's wasting up space.

Some iCal events disappear when in week view

Hello all,
I recently had a double agenda booking. Today I found out why:
In week view some iCal events disappear... When i switch to month view, they reappear.
So, depending on the view i have open time slots. Not very reliable.
Anyone know what i can do to return to solid bookings again?

Same problem here. I just imported everything from my old MacBook to my new one using Time Machine. My events appear in the Month view but not in the Week or Day views. So I went back to my old MacBook, created an iCal backup file, and emailed it to myself. Opened it on the new machine, restored from the backup file, and . . . same thing!
Very strange!! I need my daily events to be visible. Any help out there?

HT2513 I have a mac and an ipad. when i create and ical event on my mac and then sync to my ipad, the event replicates; however, when i create an ical event on my ipad and then sync, the ical event does not sync.

Go to Apple > Software Update and install all available updates until no more are offered.
On iPad go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any updates.

how do I see my ICal events on my work Google Calendar?

I thought that was the case. I'm happy enough syncing Entourage to my iPhone. The last update to Entourage actually fixed that. I was just curious if the Entourage calendar in iCal would appear in the iCloud via iCal. Obviously it doesn't unless you want to "force" the issue. Thanks for taking the time. Bill

Lost ical events with lion upgrade...how do I find them?

Does anyone know how to get all ical events to appear in ical after a lion upgrade?

This may not help but, I've reached a point where I'll backup everything before ANY kind of upgrade or update and I'll even have two sets of Time Machine backups. I guess you'll have to restore forgetting about the upgrade and retry after refreshing the backup on a SECOND drive, don't allow yur current backup to start a new session at all, you may loose it. Maybe too late, but I just saw this now. Good Luck!

This form is used for payroll Event model
basically it identifies when event should be recorded .
PEM records the events such as Correction or Update on the table u specify.
e.g. column assignment status change on PER_ALL_ASSIGNMENTS_F table
The retro pay process uses these events to process those assignments while calculating retro pay
U specify the table name e.g. PER_ALL_ASSIGNMENTS_F
In Event section Specify
1) Event type as datetrack correction/ datetrack update
2) Column name : specify the column name
e.g. assignment_status
3) Change Type : reports

Invoke E-Business Suite PA_PROJECT_PUB.Update API via apps adapter

Hi,
I am trying to invoke an R12 API called PA_PROJECT_PUB.Update Project with the help of the apps adapter in J developer. I have set the context settings too in the invoke activity's properties, jca.apps.Username, jca.apps.Responsibility, jca.apps.RespApplication and jca.apps.ORG_ID.
Is there a need to call the pa_interface_utils_pub.set_global_info or this will taken care of by the invoke parameters itself?
any help would be much appreciated

Hi,
Instead of using PA_PROJECT_PUB. UPDATE API call use Ebiz SOAGateway to expose the PL/SQL API as service and it will take care of setting required apps context setting. Refer EBSR12 SOAGateway documentation.

Linking a iCal event to an email message in Apple Mail?

I often find it would be very helpful if I was able to link a mail message to an event in iCal (ie: someone sends me an email regarding an upcoming event, which I then add to my iCal calandar, but for the specific details regarding the event I still need to refer back to the original email).
It seems like this would be a commonly used and desired feature, yet I can't seem to find it...
Apple included it in iCal with the URL linking feature...maybe some variation on this will let me accomplish what I want...?

I can't drag my ical events over to the reminders list (that's not there anymore) like I used to be able to do. Why?

What version of iphoto? If it's iPhoto 11:
Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder Window should open with the file selected. Does it?
Iphoto 09 or earlier
Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). A Finder Window +should+ open with the file selected. Does it?

Double iCal Events and Birthdays (and more)

I've been having issues with my iPhone long before iCloud, that repeatable events tend to appear in pairs in my phone and sometimes my computer iCal as well. I tried to modify the iCloud calendar directly, adding new event and see if bpth my phone and my computer can get it. It turns out that my iPhone gets the updated event but my computer remain ignorant of the change. What's going on

I found a fairly inefficient workaround but it works, if anyone is interested.
This will create a list of specific events and tasks and email them.
Automator:
Find iCal Events (specify criteria)
New TextEdit Document
Find iCal To Dos (specify criteria)
Set Contents of TextEdit Document (Append)
Get Contents of TextEdit Document
New Mail Message
Send Outgoing Messages
(Textedit document to Trash)
