Invoke E-Business Suite PA_PROJECT_PUB.Update API via apps adapter

Hi,
I am trying to invoke an R12 API called PA_PROJECT_PUB.Update Project with the help of the apps adapter in J developer. I have set the context settings too in the invoke activity's properties, jca.apps.Username, jca.apps.Responsibility, jca.apps.RespApplication and jca.apps.ORG_ID.
Is there a need to call the pa_interface_utils_pub.set_global_info or this will taken care of by the invoke parameters itself?
any help would be much appreciated

Hi,
Instead of using PA_PROJECT_PUB. UPDATE API call use Ebiz SOAGateway to expose the PL/SQL API as service and it will take care of setting required apps context setting. Refer EBSR12 SOAGateway documentation.

Can't update iPhoto via App Store

I've tried updating iPhoto via App store, and it tells me to sign into the account I used to purchase it. I never purchased iPhoto. You need to contact App Store support. They are the only people who can help you with this. There's a link on the right hand side of the App Store window

Not able to integrate SOA Suite with EBS using Oracle APPS Adapter

Hi,
We need to listen to outbound business events of Oracle EBS using BES via Oracle APPS Adapter.
We have created a composite containing Oracle Application Adapter and BPEL Process.
In Apps adapter when configured Outbound Business events "oracle.apps.bom.component.modified" using Dequeue Operation,a corresponding subscriber is created in WF_BPEL_Q for respective event selected.
In Oracle EBS
for "oracle.apps.bom.component.modified" status is enabled and in subscription WF_BPEL_QAGENT is there.
When we are changing any BOM component in Oracle EBS Designer and saving it, a record is being created in "WF_BPEL_QTAB".
BPEL Process( Oracle Apps Adapter Partner Link---> Recieve Actvity ) instances are not being created when any BOM component is being changed.
Oracle Apps Adapter is not able to dequeue the data from WF_BPEL_QTAB.
There is not any error/exception in oracle soa suite server logs for Oracle APPS adapter.

We would like to capture a few business events in oracle BOM and PO that are of interest to us. In order to do this,
we deploy oracle SOA composite with BEPL in the Oracle Fusion Middleware Control. The oracle SOA composite is configured for a particular outbound business event. It should listens on a specific queue WF_BPEL_Q or WF_BPEL_QTAB and de-queues the messages from that Oracle Queue or Oracle AQ Table. In jDeveloper 11g we created a SOA project with oracle applications adapter partner link and a receive.
Specifically we are trying to capture the business outbound event oracle.apps.bom.component.modified just to get the event data in this receive.
Partner link configuration: We added the database connection to the oracle EBS instance. Tested it and we
succeded. Chose ANY_SCHEMA in partner link configuration.
We ensured that the JNDI Name here( eis/Apps/Apps ) match the JNDI name provided in the weblogic-->Deployments--
OracleAppsAdapter -->Configuration --> Outbound Connection Pools. For this outbound resource pool, Connection factory interface was javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory. Property name xADataSourceName was mapped to JNDI name of the configured JDBC datasource in the weblogic. When we created the connection pool. We tested and it worked fine. This data source had the connection pool configured to the oracle applications schema with APPS user.
After adding the partner link with the above configuration, we added a receive. We deployed this configuration to the middleware. We went to the oracle EBS modified a BOM component and we expected to having running BPEL instances against the deloyed composite. However, the problem is we are not having any running instance for the composite.
We found that there are entries in the view AQ$WF_BPEL_QTAB with an ENQ_TIME and ENQ_TIMESTAMP but with no DEQ_TIME or DEQ_TIMESTAMP. The ENQ_TIMESTAMP corresponds to the time we modified BOM in oracle BOM forms/Designer
The data is being written in WF_BPEL_QTAB for the BOM changes but not being dequeued by oracle applications adapter/composites deployed in soa server.
Please help me it quite urgent.
Is there anything we are missing on EBS side to be activited. for the events to be dequeued

This is a generic error message which does not have any information about the error which has occurred.

11.5.10 Oracle E-Business Suite Consolidated Update 2 (CU2)

My customer is on 11.5.10 on Windows 2003 and I am applying CU2 as part of pre-requisite for upgrading the database to Oracle 10g R2.
I have already applied AD.I.6 and Autoconfig Rollup Patch S(6372396). I ran the Technology Validation Utility and got ALL PASS but WARN for the following:
+1. Check for patch 3840903 . We were not able to confirm whether patch 3840903 has been applied. Please make sure that this patch has been applied before upgrading to 11.5.10.2.
2. Check for components of patch 4029076 in iAS Oracle Home.
It appears that SSL libraries in iAS Oracle Home have been patched with a more recent patch.
Oracle highly recommends that you apply the latest Critical Patch Update from Oracle MetaLink. You can safely ignore this warning if you have already done so. Please see Oracle MetaLink Note 293953.1 for details.
3.Check for 8.1.7.4 one-off patch 3709700 in iAS Oracle Home.
This utility is unable to confirm whether the 8.1.7.4 one-off patch 3709700 has been applied. Please ensure that this patch is applied to the iAS Oracle Home.
4. Check for Mapviewer Patch 4013789 in iAS Oracle Home.
If you are a Field Service(CSF) or Transportation Planning(MST) customer and you are planning to use the MapClient/MapViewer functionality ,please apply iAS Patch 4013789 on your applications tier.+

Planning for 11.5.10 Oracle E-Business Suite Consolidated Update 2 (CU2)

I have instance with version 11.5.10
I want to apply CU2
I am referring document 316366.1 for above.
I found many patches are there.
So my question can I apply 2 patches everyday after 5.00 p.m. ??
So user can continue their work during working hours.
OR
I have to apply all at once one by one ?

You need to apply 3 patches before applying Patch 3460000:
1) Patch 4318672 - 11.5.10.2 Technology Stack Validation Patch
2) Patch 4229931 - The most recent patch is Patch 4502904 (Post AD.I Consolidated 09/01/05) --> If you apply Patch 5161676 11i.AD.I.5, then you do NOT need to apply patch 4502904

Updating software via App Store

When I try to update software through the App Store application it automatically populates the Apple ID with a previous owner for my computer. It will not allow me to enter in my apple ID. How do I remove the previous owner's information from my computer?

You'll need to use the Recovery system and use Disk Uitlity found on the start screen of the Recovery system, Mac OS X Utilities screen, to repartition the drive as one partition and then reinstall Mac OS X clean and fresh.
Whatever apps are now on that system aren't yours. They are the previous owners and can't be transferred to you.

Can't update iTunes via App Store

Launch iTunes, it'll say that there's a new version to download. Clicks download, opens up App Store but no, no iTunes there. Only happens with Yosemite, never happened before in Mavericks. Sure, I can just download the latest iTunes from https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ but it's such a hassle. Why is this happening and is there a way for me to fix it?

PL/SQL API for Creating Sales Order in E Business Suite from BPEL

Hi,
I am new to Oracle SOA 11g.
I have done the Deleting Sales Order using PL/SQL API ( Oracle Apps Adapter ) [ API Name: OE_ORDER_PUB.DELETE_ORDER ]. While executing the BPEL, it is correctly deleting Sales Order in E Business Suite which is created EBS User Interface. I don't face any problem while deleting the sales order.
Now, in same way, I have to create a new Sales Order using PL/SQL API. I don't find any API's related to creating Sales Order in Order Management Suite (OM_PF) -->Order Management (ONT) --> Sales Order (ONT_SALES_ORDER) --> PL/SQL --> Process Order API (OE_ORDER_PUB) in Module Browser.
Please tell me which PL/SQL API to use to create new Sales Order in BPEL.

You may be on a different patch level. Can you ensure that you have applied all latest patches for your version?

Hello,
I have question regarding accessing Oracle e-Business suite (11i or r12) via internet from remote location.
We currently have e-business suite accessed by VPN connection from remote location.
I would like to know if possible to configure Oracle e-business suite that user can access them via internet.
Just as end users can access web based time card such as ADP site, where everything is located on ADP server and
subscribing company employees access them via internet.

Issue with Apps adapter for Create_Cust_Account API

· I’ve tried with Database adapter. But in the runtime I’m not able to pass oracle apps initialization parameter in spite of using transaction and idempotent property in partnerlink.
· Then I’ve tried to invoke fnd_global.apps_initialize first then call the package from database adapter, but it fails again, apparently its not able to execute both DBadapter in same database session although they are in same BPEL transaction.
When I’m passing the initialization parameters in adapter created wrapper procedure then its working fine and customer got created.
Please let me know where I’m going wrong or issue with apps adapter.

I'm able to execute the BPEL flows using DB adapter in same session and customer got created.
But I'm wondering why I cant invoke the API using Apps adapter though its standard one.
wsdl file is not getting generated as the adapter wizard not get completed.
Do u have any idea why its giving ' error occurred while running Jpublisher.missing method' error?should I conclude that apps adapter does not support overloaded procedure.

API for creating new User in Oracle E-Business Suite through BPEL

Hello,
I would like to use a BPEL process to create a new User in Oracle E-Business Suite. In the Integration Repository I was able to find an API called FND_USER_PKG/LOAD_ROW that creates/updates Application's User data. Is this the API I should be using? If so, I would like to better understand how to use this API.
I have created a simple BPEL process and added an Oracle Application Service, which uses this FND_USER_PKG/LOAD_ROW API. I set the following parameter before Invoking the Oracle Application Service: X_USER_NAME, X_ENCRYPTED_USER_PASSWORD and X_START_DATE. When I run the BPEL process I get the following error. I suspect that I am not passing all the required input parameters. Does anyone have any sample data I can use to get this API to load correctly? If I am using the wrong API, please let me know.

I've encounter something similar to you're problem and it was resolved by manually creating the object using the web service constructor and inputting user credentials. If you manually instantiate your web service wrapper object and set a a security profile token, it may solve your problem. You can also pass in the web service endPoint URL, if you want.

I'm not sure how to use UsernameTokenProfileSecurityPolicy, but try something like this:

I realize the security profile isn't tied anywhere to the web service, but try it anyway.
There is also some fields on the webservice, tws.setRequestHeader() that may allow you to set the username and password on the request, but this doesn't make sense to me. It shouldn't be that hard.
