Regarding output and debugguing

Hi,
I need to output PSPEL field from AUFK table. I need to modify contents of this field. while output this field It shows 23 characters. But while debugging It shows 8 characters. what is problem, can anybody suggest.
PSPEL, Data Element -> length NUMC 8.
Domain -> output length 24.

you need to make use of Conversion routine to get correct value.
CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSP_INPUT Conversion External > Internal WBS Element Number
CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSP_OUTPUT Conversion Internal > External WBS Element Number

Sun Studio 11 do not parse make output and create link to file?

Hi,
Running Sun Studio 11 and can only get file links in the output window when I run a make command that uses CC -g (debug option). We have integrated other tools into our make system (flexlint, cppUnit..) and even though we make sure that the syntax is exactly the same as the compiler output and matches regular expression under tools->options->building->make settings->error expression, it doesn't work. Why do you have to debug compile to get sun studio to create a file link in the output window? Doesn't sun studio just parse the text from the make command?
example of flexlint output for which no link is created:

Merging Smartform Output and Adobe Form Output in a single PDF File

Hi All,
My Requirement is as follows -
I have multiple Smartforms and a single Adobe Form.
I want to merge the Smartform Outputs and Adobe Form output in a single PDF.
I am able to merge multiple Smartform Output in a PDF , but not able to find any way to merge smartform and adobe form output as the Smartform output is in OTF Format and Adobe form output is in PDF Format itself.
I have tried few ways , but could not find any success.
Request you all to give me some direction to this problem.

I am afraid this is not possible using SAP functionality. There are probably 3rd party tools which allow you to merge several PDFs into one, but SAP itself does not offer such a mechanism. There is an internal SAP function, though, which can merge several "parts" (=several PDFs) within an Adobe-created spool request into a single PDF, intended for downloading this PDF from SP01.
This is described in note 1717357.

Output mismatch between BEx query output and WebI Report output

Hi All,
I have a BEx query in which there are only characteristics placed in rows.
There are combinations of the values of the characteristics giving different records in the query output.
Date is one of the characterisctics in the query output.
There is an output mismatch between the query output and the WebI report output in the following case:
When there are 'Not Assigned' or '#' or blank values, there are additional entries(rows) in the WebI report, giving repeating or wrong entries in the Date field. This is incorrect data.
Is this because of the 'Not Assigned' or '#' or blank values of the Characteristics or is there any other reason?
How do I fix this?

I need to verify the WebI report output for records with # and 'Not assigned' values for the cHracteristics in the report.
So I cannot check the WebI report by hiding the # or Not assigned values.
The problem is that in the Query output the records are like these shown below:

Hi All,
How to configure packaging and how to see the output of this?
How to see the handling unit output?
My Client's Business scenario is:
The finished product to be packed in pallets, pallets to be packed in container and container in truck.
4 qts of finished product to be packed in 1 pallet, 2 pallets to be packed in 1 container and 1 container to be packed in truck. How to configure this?
And also my client wants to see the packing list output and also the handling unit output.
So how to to configure this.
Please guide me.

Sometime back Allabaqsh Patil has forwarded me this material for my question on packaging. I did it and it worked well.
You can follow the same procedure and do it. It will work for you. The details are given below.

before creating the packaging material you have to go to:
IMG-Logistics Execution-Shipping -Packing.
1. Define packaging material types- it can be anything like boxes crates, etc. in this you have to maintain the output determination procedure, output type, plant determination, packaging material category, generate delivery items, number assignment. you can copy from standard also.
2. Then go to define material group for packaging materials - here you maintain the four digit code and the description. Actually, this group is nothing but similar products which require similar packing products. For Ex. Nokia Phones all types they are basically packed first into a polythene bag. So here nokia phones can become a material group for packaging materials and polythene bag can become the packaging material type which can include different sizes and types of polythene bags.
3. Define Allowed Packaging Materials - Here you assign the shipping group for packaging materials to the packaging material type. This is related to your mterial master data of the packaging material which you create.
4. Now go to MM01 to create a packaging material. use material type as Packaging material then inside the system will take the item category group as VERP. Then in the Basic Data1 screen you have the material group for packaging material (MGPM). Slect the proper one. Now in the Sales:General/ Plant screen you have to maintain data regarding the packaging. you select the MGPM same as the basic data 1 screen, then select the packaging material type, the allowed pkh weight, allowed pkg volume. This is important because if the weight of your finished item is 2 KG and in the allowed pkg weight you enter only 1.5 KG, then while you carry out the packing process in delivery, the system will give you error," packaging weight exceeded." The assignment in the IMG creen for Define allowed packaging materials should be same as u mention in the material master. Then save your material master for packaging material.
5. VA01 create the order, save it.
6. VL01N enter shipping point, go to edit - pack- you will face a screen with 2 parts. In the top part you select your packaging material in which you want to pack your finished item, enter the system will assign a number to that material. Now select the Material in the top part and the finished one in the lower part and click on the Icon Pack. Here one thing has to be taken care of. Suppose if you want to pack only one finished item in one packaging material, then in the lower part of the screen you have a field for partial quantity here you chnge it to 1. system will prompt quantity changed. now you select the material in the top part and the one in the lower part and click on the PER PART. QTY ICON. In this way the system will pack only one finished item in a single packaging material. Packing is done go back, select the picking and do the PGI. save the delivery and create the invoice.
HANDLING UNITS.
Basically handling units come into picture when you want to carry out multi level packing. suppose you want to pack Nokia phone first into a polythene bag, then this polythene bag is again packed in to box. like that. then this box will become a handling unit. For this go to :
IMG - Logistics General - Handling Unit Mangement - Basics.
1. In basics you do the same thing as you did in the packing in logistics execution. like you create the packaging material type, then MGPm and their assignment.
2. Then go to External Identification - and maintain the number ranges forthe handling units that you want and assign the same to your pckaging material type.
3. Now that you have done everything, create the order, save it, in VL01N, enter shipping point, go to edit - pack - do the same thing as i ahve told you in the step no. 6 (above). now after doing select the PACK HUs TAB . NOW IN THIS SCREEN IN THE TOP PART YOU WILL SEE THE ALREADY PACKED MATERIAL. In that same part again select your next packaging material that is BOX. enter the system will assign the number to the BOX.
4. Now select the material which you have just entered and the materials which were already packed in the lower part of the screen and click on the ICON PACK.
This is what I know about the packing process and the handling unit. you have many things in the handling unit management whichcan be very useful for automatic packing.

I want to know how to zip the report output and send it by mail to concerned person from application
I want this as the report is having more than 70000s of records.
Also the XLS has the limitation of 2^16 records and the report is having more than this

1: Make a Dummy report. From some post parameter form trigger, run your original report with "srw.runreport" call. The original report can generate output to a file.
2: Then withing this dummy report run, call a user exit to zip the
original reports output. You need to write this user exit and attach them
with reports.
3: Now use Report 9i distribution for this dummy report to sent this external zip file through mail.

PWM output and DIO output on same pin(MultiTasking)

Hi guys, ive encounter some problem in myrio 1900, which is using PIN31 for digital output and PWM output. while the testing , i cant sending PWM, i only can passing the read value from other Digital input and transfer towards PIN 31. ive tried to change in low level logic but myrio disconnect after 3-5 seconds. By the way ive attached few picture to clarify my current situation, hope can clarify my problem clearly.

Differenct between Lookup Error Output and Lookup No Match Output

Hi All
I'm new in SSIS and reading book for SSIS and unable to understand the difference between Lookup Error Output and Lookup No Match Output in Lookup transformation. Are these terms same or is there any difference between them ?. Please guide

Nope. Error output is more generic ie any errors happening inside lookup can be redirected to error output by default. This includes lookup match failures as well as data conversion error, truncation error etc. Upto SSIS 2005 this was the only output available
in addition to match output inside lookup so if you want to capture unmatched rows you had to redirect them to error output itself.
But from SSIS 2008 onwards they've introduced one more output called no match output. This gives you ability to redirect only no matched rows through no match output so that you'll be able to distinguish between unmatched rows and other error rows.
You can configure this option inside Specify how to handle rows with no matching entries option in Lookup Editor. You can choose Ignore Failure,
Redirect rows to no match output,Redirect rows to error output etc as options

Calling SAPGui depending on BAPI Output and User selection

Hi everybody,
can I somehow call a SAPGui (like in the transaction iView) depending on BAPI Output and the selection of a user?
The problem is the following:
Through an input form, a BAPI function receives an input parameter. I then get several results and want to select one of these results. With this result a predefined transaction <b>with SAPGui</b> should start.
For example transaction MW23 with purchase order number 1234567.
Does anybody know a solution to this?

Hi Raju,
as far as I know, you always need an ITS if you want to present a transaction in Portal as HTMLGUI.
However, I now found a way how to use the transaction iView with the WINGui. Of course, the SAPGui client has to be installed locally.
With the following URL the transaction iView can be called and the user can jump into a certain transaction with a certain parameter, in this case with the purchase order number:

Many Output and multitypes

Hi gurus,
my customer would like to run with a single request the production of many ouput pdf and each of them having an additional output (not pdf source) in xml format.
I do not know if you can produce more output in a single execution for each person extracting data, in this case to different output and contents for each item extraced.
It may make sense to deepen qestion or should I change direction?

Basically, what do you have as monitors when doing you final mix? The built in speakers of my white Macbook aren't the top level gear, you know? Even a HIFI Headphone is not a good solution, as aren't the JBL (or whatever) HIFI-speakers you can buy in your Mac Store...
But "tube or tunnel" sound far more threatening than having some minor issues with HIFI speakers. As for me - i usually have the most problems in the lower frequency spectrum, getting the bass right. You might want to lower these a bit and cut everything below 80Hz (depending on the stereo or car HIFI system you want to use). Also, be cautious with the frequencies around 400-1000 Hz, where the transients of the vocals are roaming.
Use Pan to create a subtle stereo picture - don't overdo it. Sometimes, switch the OUT 1-2 to mono to control if it still sound okay when in mono. Use the correlation meter to see if there are no phase problems, when left&right channels nullify each other.
Finally, try mp3 bounce in joint stereo or 2 channel stereo an see if one is better than the other.

Hi im a bit lost regarding selectOneMenu and how validation phase all works together.
The thing is that i have a simple selectOneMenu

Question regarding roaming and data usage

I am currently out of my main country of service, and as such I have a question regarding roaming and data usage.
I am told that the airplane mode is sufficient from keeping the phone off from roaming, but does this apply to any background data usage for applications and such?
If the phone is in airplane mode, are all use of the phone including wifi and application use through the wifi outside of all extra charges from roaming?

Just to elaborate here, Ann154 is referring to access charges for wifi, which is nothing to do with Verizon, so if you are using it in a plane, hotel, an internet cafe etc that charges for Wifi rather than being free . Verizon does not charge you (or indeed know about!) wifi usage, or any other usage that is not on their cellular network (such as using a foreign SIM for example in global phones) So these charges, if any, will not show up on the verizon bill app. Having it in airplane mode prevents all cellular data traffic so you should be fine

No, they are not the same. The movement type transaction (OMJJ) links the account key and account modifier to a specific movement types. Transaction code (OBYC) contains the account assignments for all material document postings, whether they are movement type dependent or not. Account key BSX is not movement type dependent. Instead, BSX is dependent on the valuation class of the material, so it won't show in OMJJ.
