  • Regarding assigning gateway for owsm

    hi friendz
i have to assign a gateway to my webservice using webservice manager
but the problem is its asking the component url. which url i have to specify for this.

the endpoint of your webservice, the wsdl-location.
Look at the OWSM Quickstart Guide for more detailed information.

  • Help regarding how to instantiate the failed over URLS in OWSM gateway.

    Hi all,
I am working on a scenario like...
I have a webserviceAA which takes ID and Name and dumps it into a tableAA.This service is registered with the OWSM gateway. While registering the service, "in the failover URL" section, I will give the end point of another webserviceBB, which performs the same functionality as webserviceAA does.
Once I register the service, I remove the tableAA from my database.
Then I will test the wsdl of webserviceAA using the console's test page.
Obviously, the gateway tries to invoke the webserviceAA, but fails to insert ID and Name in to the table as the table is dropped. Now my gateway goes to the "failoverURLs" and tries to instantiate webserviceBB(takes ID and Name and inserts them into tableBB).
I am able to see that the webserviceBB is getting instantiated in my BPEL Console, but thing is like the gateway is not able to pass ID and Name to the webserviceBB.....
Can any one tell me .. how do I pass values to failed over webservices.......
Hope most of you have tried out with this....
    Thanks .....

  • How to call a secure external Web Service using Oracle BPEL and OWSM

    Hi,
i have to invoke an external secure Web Service using SOA Suite 10.1.3.1, but i don´t know how to do this. Do i use OWSM gateway or Agent? how to configure the gateway or agent to pass the required security to the external secure web service.

Are you getting any errors? What type of XAI Class are you using?
One thing I've noticed is that if you are making changes to the XAI Sender you will have to restart the environment before the changes can take effect.
Also, if you are using RTHTTPSNDR as XAI Class you may have to include the HTTP Method - Post in the context.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to call OWSM secured web-service from ADF application

    I have a OWSM secured web-service, which takes username/password.
I want to invoke this webservice from ADF application. ADF application has its own security and it takes its own username/password. End user can't provide the username/password for web-service call. My ADF application should call the webservice and provide it appropriate username/password.
What is the best practice to handle such scenario. I don't want to hardcode username/password in Java (ADF) code.
    Thanks
    Sanjeev.

it is not clear to me if you are having problems with calling java code from OIM or if the problem is the web service API.
Lets do some divide and conquer:
Can you create a simple java class that just writes a couple of lines to the log? Please attach this code to the OIM task and make sure it runs.
Once this works we can start looking at the web service call.
    Best regards
    /Martin

  • Unable to read the WSDL in OWSM

    Hello Everyone,
Iam trying to register BPEL Process on OWSM but it gives me error saying unable to find the WSDL error.
When I test the Web Service directly from the Web Page it does Load the WSDL on the Test Page.
But the moment the wsdl is wrapped with virtualized wsdl it does give the following error
Failed to read WSDL from http://192.168.190.47:9700/ccore/TestGateway/services/SID0003003?wsdl:WSDL not found
As per the troubleshooting document this error could occur for 2 reasons
    1. If the Gateway is not registered properly on the Gateway.properties file.
    2. If there is proxy or firewall issue.
Since the Service is local to the same server i dont see any firewall or proxy issue and i did check the Gateway properties file where the Gateway ID is register.I do see the ID present on the file.
Can someone tell what might be the issue ?

  • How to pass Username from OWSM Security policy in Oracle Apps Adapter .jca file

My BPEL process uses Oracle Applications Adapter. The following is the .jca file for the Adapter.  The Username is initialized statically to "sysadmin" when I created the Adapter. Is it possible to pass in the username from the OWSM Security policy for the username value below? If so how to do? I appreciate your response.
    <adapter-config name="EBSAdapter" adapter="Apps" wsdlLocation="../WSDLs/EBSAdapter.wsdl" xmlns="http://platform.integration.oracle/blocks/adapter/fw/metadata">

    1. Go to Invoke activity

    3. click Add

  • OWSM :: Unable to satisfy WSSE Basic Authentication

    Hi,
I have dowloaded & installed the Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.1.0. I conveniently wrote a simple Java Web Service using Oracle JDeveloper 10.1.3 & protected the Web Service with Oracle Web Services Manager.
I have created a policy in Oracle Web Services Manager to extract the WSSE-Basic UserName and Password from the incoming SOAP Request & validate it with the credentials stored in a file.
The contents of the file are :-

Can you guys please help me with this ?
    Regards,
    Sandeep

    Hi Sandeep,
I do not have extensive experience with WSS, but the error message let me believe that there is something wrong with the value for the password, as the server replies with 'Inlavid' in the fault string.
When using WSS with oc4j 10.1.3.1, once you ask to use digest value for the password, you are also required to send two extra pieces of informations in the security header: a nonce and a timestamp.
Last, make sure that you don't send the {MD5} in the password element - this is most likely a hint from SOAPSonar.
Here is a sample of a soap payload generated from JDev 10.1.3.1 for a service secured on the oc4j (not exactly OWSM).
    <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:ns0="http://TrailerInfo/" xmlns:wsu="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-utility-1.0.xsd">

you can attach OWSM policies to the "WSDL" and "Any SOAP" types of proxy and business services in Oracle Service Bus on the Policies page. See section "50.2.2 Attaching Oracle Web Services Manager Policies to Oracle Service Bus Services" at below link -

  • Using OWSM for SAML verification and LDAP authorization

I can verify SAML tokens by using EM security (verifying SAML tokens) but when I use OWSM I get this error at the proxy (by adding the step : SAML - Verify WSS 1.0 Token to the policy of a server agent)
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: oracle.security.wss.saml.SAMLAssertionIssuer.<init>(Ljavax/xml/rpc/handler/soap/SOAPMessageContext;Lorg/w3c/dom/Document;Loracle/security/wss/config/SamlTokenConfigType;Z)V
Also I need to LDAP authorize the subject of SAML after verification of SAML token. Is it just enough to put the LDAP authorize step after SAML verification?
Won't I need any EXTRACT CREDENTIAL step?
    Regards
    Farbod

When we were asked to combine OBIEE 10g with Active Directory, we chose external Table Authorization to get information on the groups, a user is part of.
In general, one could follow these articles to achieve AD Authentication:
    [http://www.oraclebidwh.com/2008/10/obiee-ldap-authentication-using-microsoft-ad/|http://www.oraclebidwh.com/2008/10/obiee-ldap-authentication-using-microsoft-ad/]
    [http://www.oraclebidwh.com/2008/11/obiee-ldap-authentication-using-microsoft-ad-2/|http://www.oraclebidwh.com/2008/11/obiee-ldap-authentication-using-microsoft-ad-2/]
To sum it up: Read User-information from AD. Knowing a user's login-name then, one could query an external table, which consists of user and group information. Everything is setup within initializationBlocks, which could be created in the administration tool.
Problem: As you already said, the problem is, that this external user--group table has to be filled and updated "manually". That is, someone has to input new users or at least assign them to the existing groups.
In our case, there's an admin who knows what sql is and how to work with it.
Another solution could be, to prepare a xml-file, containing user and group information and add it to your repository. The tables could then be queried, too. Although, xml files can become quite unhandy, if a lot of information is held within it, they can be edited via external tools or at least with a standard text editor.
