Regarding records created in OBPM studio/enterprise version

Hi,
My question is very basic.....I want to know that when a participant is logging in in workspace and make some differences in workspace then where the table/record created by the particular participant gets stored?or which filr includes the data for the participant?
Thanks....
Nidhi

Have you considered for this purpose to use the project documentation generated in Studio?, it generates html or pdf with the information of the project....

  • Participants from BPM Studio to Enterprise version

Hi I deployed my project into BPM enterprise but I can't use the participants I created on the studio. I know that in studio the password and name are the same but in enterprise version I can't create a user which password is the same. so I created a user with the same name of a user in the studio project with a random password and it enters in the project but I have in my project the next code and It's not working because the workspace shows the tasks as unassigned
participant.next =participant.find(name : "John");thank you very much for your help

I don't remember what the 'find' actually searches on, but I would guess it is display name...
A simple test would be to do a 'fetchAll', and print out all (or just some) of the participants to verify they are there, and what values can be searched on...

  • Error In Java Studio Enterprise 8 on creating EJB

While creating an EJB in Java Studio Enterprise 8 inan EJB Project, I get a 'Stream Closed' Error on clicking 'Finish' (see the image link). Why is this so? I can't proceed further.
    http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/7348/17xf.png

I've restarted the IDE, restarted my PC, but to no avail.
To see if it was a PC specific issue, I tried this on both Win2000 SP4 and Win XP Professional. Both seem to be giving me the same problem. And yes, my project is located on my hard drive. It's a single user configuration.
I cannot even start a single EJB project. Is there any workaround? Why does this happen?

  • Problem deploying war created in Sun Java Studio Enterprise 8

I have, with some help from this forum, converted a portlet application from the Sun Java Studio Enterprise 7 environment to the Sun Java

  • Sun Java Studio Enterprise 8 Application Server

I'm trying to get the JSE8 Application Server to run as a service. I've read other forum articles and none of them really answered my question. So, I tried to implement the JSE8 server via the JavaServiceWrapper approach (and, I was successful). The only problem is that when I log on and then log off the computer running the application server, the application server stops.
So, I have several questions. One is, "why does the application server stop when it detects a user logoff, especially if the user it was started under wasn't even the one logging off?"
The second question is where is the documentation mentioned in other e-mails regarding how to set up the JSE8 server as a service per Sun's guidelines (I can't find it anywhere; a web link would be most helpful here).
Finally, is Sun planning on changing this so the JSE8 application server runs as a "real" service to make deployment much easier in a Windows environment (like version 7 did)?

From what I can tell about the Java EE 5 SDK beta is that it still requires the SC.EXE method of installating a windows service. I got the "JavaServiceWrapper" method to work (well, not perfectly, but it works thanks to the hint provided by the first respondent (using the -Xrs switch in the JVM on the Application server). Then, I created a JSE8Server.conf file, as required by the JavaServiceWrapper (from http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.org). Here's the conf file as I wrote it (note that this is all hard-coded based on install directories, etc.) But, it does allow you to point to a specific JVM (see wrapper.java.command line) and does allow anyone to log on and off the Windows system without shutting down the application server (domain).
The only problem with this is that that java service basically runs to start the service and then dies. The application server is then spawned on new disassociated Process IDs; so, without writing some more code to periodically ask the application server if he's "up", there is no automatic restart capability...at least from the service's span of control.

    Arend

    Hi Arend,
Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.
Since this forum is to discuss: Visual Studio WPF/SL Designer, Visual Studio Guidance
Automation Toolkit, Developer Documentation and Help System, and Visual Studio Editor. Based on your issue, I think that the issue is more related to the programming. So I’m afraid that it is not the correct forum for this issue.
To help you find the correct forum for this issue, could you please tell
me which kind of app you want to create? Is it winform app or others?
If you want to code for a winform app using c# language, I suggest you
can consult your question on specific
WinForm forum so that they can share you something for you to start.
    Thanks for your understanding.

  • Open Forte for java project in Sun java studio enterprise

Hi Everyone, I am new to Java development. I have a java application developed in Forte for java 4 and I need to open and compile it in Sun java studio enterprise. Could anybody tell me how to do that? Thank you very much.

The recent versions of the IDE (starting with NetBeans 4.1 and JSE 8) are based on a more-robust project system that is ant based. Projects from Forte for Java 4, unfortunately, cannot be directly opened in JSE8, NB4.1 and later.
If you do have access to the original source code, pl. try the following in the latest version of JSE or NetBeans:
    - Create a fresh project in jse using File | New Project. (For a java standalone app, you would choose General | Java Application from the dialog).
    - Add the existing files to the empty project. You can do so by right-clicking on the project, selecting properties and adding the existing source directories under 'Source Packages' in 'Sources' category.
Or from the new project dialog, you could select 'General | Java Project with existing sources' option.

  • Java Studio Enterprise 8 and mail.jar

I have a problem with the mail.jar file being locked after a method is instantiated that actually sends a message (and invokes the mail.jar, activiation.jar, etc.) This is problematic because I can't redepoy an application from the Java Studio Enterprise 8 IDE to the application server without shutting down and restarting the application server. I have the latest versions as of today (7/26/2006) of the mail.jar and activation.jar archives. I've done everything I can think of to ensure that all references to java objects created as part of the mail send process are nullified and even called the System.gc() method to ask the JVM to clean things up. Still, the mail.jar is locked upon redeploy (I can tell because all other files, classes, web component, etc. are gone from the deploy directory except the mail.jar file, which is locked even from Operating System access.)
    I'm using:
    Sun Java(TM) Studio Enterprise 8 (Build 051011_2)
    IDE/1 spec-5.9.1 impl=200507031930
    Windows 2000 version 5.0 runningo n x86
    Java 1.5.0_04
    Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.5.0_04-b05
Any ideas on how to fix this locking problem with mail.jar?

Huhm. Good question. I have done the following to get a good log file trace in case something is there:
    1) Stopped the server.
    2) Cleared out the server.log file (deleted it).
    3) Started the server.
    4) Deployed the application.
    5) Ran the application code such that it sends an e-mail using the Transport.send(message) code.
    6) Tried to redeploy the application (which won't because the mail.jar file is locked up).
Here's the server.log file after all that happened....

  • How do I integrate JWSDP1.4 with Sun Java Studio Enterprise 6 2004Q1

    Hi,
I want to be able to specify JAX-RPC 1.1 as the version for JAX-RPC in webservice property tab so that I can use doc/literal encoding. By default only version that is allowed is JAX-RPC 1.0. Can somebody help me with this.
    Regards
    Vimal

    Hi Vimal,
    Did you get this working?
My current environment is using java sun studio enterprise 6 , Sun Application Server 7. I am using JWSP1.3. I have a wsdl file and I generate the client classes for this wsdl file. Based on the generated client classes I write a webservice interface.
Now I generate the webservice for this interface and generate the webservice client. I get
Serialization error : no serializer found for class ....
I am thinking if this is related to bug number :
    Bug ID: 4791482
    http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4791482
Do you thisnk that the later version wsdl1.4 will solve it? If yes , how do I integrate it to be used with my current environment.

  • Installing OBPM Studio

I haveb been trying to install Oracle BPM Studio 11g in the Desktop, but cannot understand what xactly should I do to Properly install OBPM Studio 11g.
Following are the tasks that I have Performed:
    1. Installed Oracle Web Logic Server 11g R1.
    2. Installed Oracle SOA Suite from "ofm_soa_generic_11.1.1.2.0".zip downloaded from Oracle Downloads page.
    3. Patched it with patchset "ofm_soa_generic_11.1.1.3.0".zip downloaded from Oracle Downloads page.
The steps were done as per document "OracleBPM-InstallationGuide_11g".pdf .
I have also installed JDeveloper suite from "jdevstudio11113install.exe"
What did I miss during the whole process?
Do I have to saperately install Database, RCU, Web Center.
    Will Jdevloper need "bpm-jdev-extension".
How do i start the BPM studio will it be from JDeveloper itself ?
    Please Help

    Hi CD,
Only to clarify the things: one thing is Oracle BPM Studio, that is the modeler, based on jDeveloper framework, and other is the BPM Server, where you will need to install Weblogic, database, SOA and BPM Servers, etc. You may have only the BPM Studio in you local machine and use an external server to deploy and test your projects.
Focusing in the BPM Studion: try to reinstall the jDeveloper 11.1.1.3 in a different folder in your machine. After that, download the appropriate SOA and BPM extensions from jDeveloper extensions page (http://www.oracle.com/ocom/groups/public/@otn/documents/webcontent/156082.xml) and unzip them within your new jDeveloper installation. Pay attention to unzip the extensions to the correct folder (<Installation_Home>\jdeveloper). Restart the jDeveloper and check if you can create new "SOA Applications/Projects" and "BPM Applications/Projects".
    I hope this can help.

  • How to Manage the Resource Master in Primavera Enterprise Version

We are using P6 enterprise version in our company having a central database. We had created our own unique resources and standardised across the enterprise and is Admin protected. However we often have to import some schedules sent by our consultant/client. In those schedules they have their own resources.
So when we import these schedules, it also imports the resources along with it and pollutes our resource master.
Can anyone let me know, how to manage such a situation.
    Regards

We have met this issue. You have few ways to deal with it, but each has its own +ve and -ve.
1- You may create a separate "Working" db into which you can import those files and keep them there only. Your master db shall be used for maters and your own program only.
2- You may do the same for checking the resourses, vet them before importing into the final db
3- P3 and MSP importation allows you to select the node to which the resources will be located. We have created a resource node called "Imported Resources" and dumped all those resources into it. Our users don't have access to that node so those resources can only be used on the imported program and can't be assigned to any other program / activity
4- Enforce your supply chain to use the same resource list. We managed to do that for our main and subcontractors. That formed part of their contracts.

  • Visual design view in Studio Enterprise 8

I have recently discovered both Studio Enterprise 8 and Studio Creator, previous to which I was only using netbeans. However, I've been looking for a way to create either JSP applications or standar java applications with an IDE that has a visual design view in it.
Studio Creator has a visual design view only for JSP pages, but it does not seem to have the robustness of Studio Enterprise 8. Studio Enterprise 8 has a Palette tool, but for the life of me I cannot find the visual design view in it. Is there a way to activate a visual design view in Studio Enterprise 8? or, do I need to download an add-on?, or do I really need to create projects in Studio creator to later transfer only the JSP pages to Studio Enterprise?
Any help would be greatly appreaciated.

Besides the visual designer for JSP (Creator) , Swing GUI and UML (JSE8), what other types of visual designers are you expecting or wish for in JSE 8?

  • Error while installing Java Studio Enterprise

    Hey folks,
I have downloaded SUN Java studio enterprise 90-day trial version (for windows). After starting installation, I got the install wizard. The three system requirements namely available disk space, Installed memory and Operating System patches have been checked successfully by the install wizard and the status is ok. System Ready for installation message has been displayed. After configuration settings, I got the Ready to install screen. I have hit the Start Installation button.
After few minutes, I got the following error:
Installation of J2SDK 1.4.2_05 was unsuccessful. Please consult the release notes for possible causes.
    Help me folks.
    Thanks in advance.

Try to download and install J2SE1.4.2 before studio installation.

  • Need Help With NetBeans (Java Studio Enterprise 8)'s code generation

    Hi!
I am using Java Studio Enterprise 8 with NetBeans 4.1 IDE bundled together with it. When trying to create GUI out from NetBeans Form Designer, I don't like the way it generates the code. When I try to use a JTextField, it uses "Fully Qualifed Class Names" (e.g: javax.swing.JTextField) on the code. How do I set NetBeans not to use it but rather use only the class name and generate import lines on top of the code? Also, how do I set it up that it will generate the variable declarations (which is on the uneditable blue portion of the code) on top rather than the default which is placed at the bottom of the class code body. I have tried tweaking the Options menu of this IDE but haven't got any luck...
Hope you could help, and thanks in advance!

To address the location of the var decl codegen section (or any codegen location issues), there is a workaround, admittedly, it is a bit tedious.
Once the form code is generated, as Kris mentioned, open the class in an external editor so that you can edit the generated code.
Then cut the entire var declaration section along with the begin/end gen-code markers and paste it to the section of the file you desire.
When you add more components to your form, the codegen will find this section wherever it is and add to it.
Alternatively, you could just move the non-protected code around the protected within the NB editor, but you would not be able to rearrange the order of the actual code-genned sections.
