Regarding render:jspContentUrl

<render:jspContentUrl var="democontent" windowLabel="page_demo" contentUri="viewDemo.jsp#d2"/>
where d2 is declared in next page
<a href="d2"></a>
< a href="<%=pageContext.getAttribute("democontent")%>">Buy Hegdelets</a>
Here It returns
http://localhost/hdsx/hdsx.portal?_nfpb=true&_windowLabel=page_demo&_jspcc=viewDemo.jsp
but Problem is it not displaying a "viewDemo.jsp" page .It is rendering(remaining)
source page itself.
What is problem over here??
But I want to display second page where d2 is anchored.
Can everyone explain the jspcontenturl with example.?what is windowLabel

Here is an example of three links in a JSP that navigat to other jsps.

  • What are the "rules" regarding render files?

    OK...one PO-ed user here, wondering *** is going on...
    I've always said that FCP is about as weak as an early version of Media 100 when it comes to render files.  You can search my posts (not that you'd want to...), and find that I've been complaining about every system I regularly work on losing render files like a 6 year old loses mittens.
    However, it's hit the fan, thus this post.  I work on a half-hour tv show.  Let me mention that we shoot and edit in XDCAM EX 1080i60; this is notable as yes, I know, rendering in long-GOP codecs is slow.  Oh, I know it...
    Anyway, this past Tuesday I dilligently rendered my composite sequence, and the broadcast output sequence, and then exported the broadcast sequence for feed.  All was well.
    Today, I opened up the project so I could make final archives and web exports of the individual segments...and guess what?  Gee, Wally, the entire sequence was, you guessed it, unrendered.  Where did those pesky render files go?  Well, I figured I'd try something I never try, and that was to reconnect them.  Hopeless, right?
    As it turns out, yes, hopeless...because when I navigated to the Render Files folder, there was a grand total of 11 render files for this particular project.  Now, I don't change my System Settings at all...I like where things go, I have my media volumes set up, everything should be hunky-dory, no?
    So to get to the heart of the matter...what process is tossing render files?  Why are they disappearing from my hard drive?
    I have folders from projects from 2 months ago that have some render files in them, but I don't have the render files my system (supposedly) created on Tuesday!
    Anyone got any ideas?

    Hey, Shane, as soon as I saw you posted I began to get deja vu all over again, as we had a discussion about losing render files which, yes, caused me to stop nesting...for the most part.  So yes, here we again have evidence that the "nesting behavior" coding team took off early the day they were supposed to be bug-fixing...but i digress.
    I nest only when necessary...generally, we edit "packages" (your acts) and then I get em, do whatever audio and color correction time allows, and copy and past them into my complete program sequence.
    However, when all is well, good, revised and approved, I "edit" that complete 22:10 sequence into my "BS" sequence (you might guess, Broadcast Safe), which has the bars n tone requested by the broadcast mothership, and where I apply a light Broadcast Safe filter and a touch of compression to the audio.  So I guess my only question here it...are you suggesting that I just splat-A my edited sequence and apply the filters to the gazillion-odd clips individually?

  • My FCP X render files are taking up my hardrive space!

    When I use HD footage for my Final Cut Pro projects it takes up 20 GB per project....
    I have a 3 TB external Hardrive, is their a way I can use that to move my render files to it and still be able to edit my project?
    Can i delete my render field without messing up my project? Cant I just serenader them later?
    My high quality media folder takes up 50 gbs, can I move that to my external drive then delete off my computer? When I edit i will have my drive plugged in.
    Thanks.

    You should definitely use the external drive - preferrably it should be connected via USB3 or Thunderbolt.
    How you move things from here to there depends on what version of FCP X you are using.
    In 10.1.x, assuming everything is inside the library, all you have to do is quit FCP X, drag the library to the external drive, let it copy over.
    Then double click on the new library in the external drive and make sure everything works. After that you can delete the old one.
    Regarding render files, you can delete them at any time, they can always be regenerated.

  • Render settings for Blu-Ray in the UK

    Hi all,
    Bit of a newbie question regarding render settings for Blu-Ray. If I understand correctly, the uk frame rate is 25fps???? And we generally have 1080p TV's etc??? The Blu-ray presets in Media encoder don't offer this and the fact they don't makes me question if I'm not understanding the required settings correctly. ME does offer a 25fps preset but only in 1080i. So, my question is, what should I be rendering to, to then take the rendered file and author it to play on UK blu-ray players. Incidentaly, does anyone have any recommendations on authoring software. I just need to break it down into several seperate categories as well as being able to play the entire movie so the budget is minimal.
    Many thanks for your help.

    Hi, I'm using Mac Blu-rayRipper Pro and iMedia converter as well as Handbrake to get the highest quality transfer from my Blu-ray disks to iTunes and AppleTV. Each disk is a bit of a project as no two are the same in terms of the best method of conversion.
    I've put a few details in my blog post on getting Blu-ray to work on my Mac Pro in the UK. Was a bit of an epic journey in the UK as we don't have all the options available in the USA:
    http://www.theapplechap.com/TheAppleChap/Blog/Entries/2010/6/20Getting_the_most_out_of_Blu-ray_on_aMac.html
    I also posted a short series of articles about getting the best possible movie conversion in iTunes covering subtitles, metadata and SD-HD tagging. May help so here's the link (to the first one, there are 3 in my blog):

  • Deleteing Render Files

    Got an FCE4 project that I've been working on for a little while. Some of the sequences have been renamed and there were some files in the render directory that appeared to be from the old names, so I thought I'd get rid of them.
    Now, when I open the project, I get a whinge about the files not being there (it lets me get on with things, but doesn't seem keen to forget about them forever). Also, I get problems when I drag exported .mov files into iDVD (they're broken). I deleted that com.plist.idvd file (not 100% sure of the name right now). I seem to be able to render the sequences OK with Alt-R (although one of the .mov files is enormous, considering it's not supposed to be self-contained) but find that I can't use the files.
    I've heard tell of a Render Manager in FCP, but I guess that's not available for FCE.
    So I'm a bit stuck now. Sorry for the somewhat chaotic "stream of consciousness" comments above, but any ideas to get this **** project onto a DVD?!

    Alex,
    You certainly were stream of consciousness in your post ...
    +when I open the project, I get a whinge about the files not being there+
    An error message on FCE startup normally tells you that you have missing or unconnected source media files. Source media files are not render files. I don't think I've ever seen a 'missing render files' message at startup. Are you sure you didn't inadvertently delete one of your source media clips? Normally a missing render file will only evidence itself as a red bar in the timeline.
    +I seem to be able to render the sequences OK with Alt-R (although one of the .mov files is enormous, considering it's not supposed to be self-contained)+
    That doesn't make sense. If you can render the files, great, things should be working ok. The render files themselves are complete QT mov files (meaning they contain actual media, they are not QT reference files), but they are not called self-contained movies (that is an export option, not a render option).
    +but find that I can't use the files.+
    Are you referring to the render files? If so, how are you trying to use them? Actually, you shouldn't be using them for anything - even though they are complete QT mov files, they are basically for internal use by FCE.
    +I get problems when I drag exported .mov files into iDVD (they're broken).+
    Exactly what files, and exactly what do you mean? Are you dragging render files into iDVD?
    ====================
    Regarding render files ... generally not a good idea to trash render files until you're finished with your project. That said, given the apparent confusion over the state of your render files ... I'd trash all of them and re-render the entire project. The render files will be in a folder that has the same name as your FCE project.
    You could also trash the +Final Cut Express Thumbnail Cache+ and +Final Cut Express Thumbnail Data+ files in the Thumbnail Cache Files folder. FCE will automatically create them again the next time you open the project.
    Be sure to empty the trash before you re-render, however.

  • Questions regarding sequence settings, render, and export

    Just a couple of questions:
    1. Will my sequence settings and render quality affect my final output? I am thinking it does, and it may seem elementary to most of you, but it would be nice to get a definite answer. If so, then should I be rendering @ the best quality possible? In turn, should I too be switching my codec? Which correlates with my next question....
    2. What codec should I be using? As it is I've been just getting footage off of mini dv. For best possible quality what should my workflow look like? Should I change my sequence settings codec to uncompressed? Which one? Uncompressed-8bit or 10 or animation? Or is okay to leave that setting at DC NTSC PRO?
    Then, most importantly, when exporting what is my best possible output with the least amount of quality loss? For mediocore quality i've been exporting through h.264 or sorenson 3 - for a bit higher DV NTSC PRO, for max uncompressed 8 bit.... how about the other settings? deinterlace? cbr or vbr? etc..
    Much thanks - I'm a lot confused concerning the technical usage of the program. B)

    Hi David, thank you for the reply and welcome.
    Just to clarify my workflow a bit more - I'm importing mini dv footage, but i'm altering that pretty much extensively with many overlays, in program effects, and various exterior plugins such as boris red, magic bullet, twixtor, etc.. Would mantaining a sequence suited for dv ntsc make sense if mantaining those effect's and overlay's vibrancy, motion, and color is key? Or should I then change my sequence settings to animation or uncompressed 8 or something other?
    What I want for final output is a pristine master (basically I want what I see is what I get) that I can then downcompress for either internet (h264?) or dvd without too much headache. I think Animation only plays on computers? Would it hurt quality badly moving it to a dvd that is playable on dvd players? Or is another setting that I don't know the solution?
    Does it hurt quality if I render it at lower draft settings and dv ntsc and then when i'm done change my sequence settings to higher settings and change it to, say, animation, AND THEN re-render and export to my sequence codec? I'm assuming no, because I'm still working with my original capture source, but just checking.
    thanks again David, and to anyone that may be able to help! B)

  • Photo Gallery thumbnails in business catalyst render in different sizes in different browsers

    Photo Gallery thumbnails in business catalyst render in different sizes in safari and chrome but are fine in firefox. What is the issue with Safari? I have tried the different algorithm options such as fill_proportional etc and firefox is the only browser that displays correctly. I thought safari was the most standards compatible browser - what's the problem here?

    Hi,
    If you have seperate XML file but with the same basic structure then you can change the XML a Spry dataset refers to and regenerate the spry region without reloading the full page.
    So on my photo gallery page I can change the album the photos are shown from via the seturl sprydata function as below.  dsPhotos being my Spry dataset that points to the relevant XML dataset with my image references and captions etc.  My XML is actually dynamically generated from Picasa RSS feeds (and RSS feeds are XML) but the principle will be the same with your static XML.
    First I add an event listener for when someone clicks on an album (the li tag within my div with the id "albums" holds a photo and title for each album.)
    function Albums()
    var myalbums = Spry.$$("#albums li", "TabbedPanels1")
    var rows = dsAlbums.getData();
    var setListener = function( element, value )
      Spry.Utils.addEventListener( element, "click", function(){ showAlbum( value ); },false );
    for( var i = 0, length = myalbums.length; i < length; i++ )
      setListener( myalbums[i], i );
    Then this is the code which changes the photo album to be shown. (when the user clicks the relevant album)
    function showAlbum(i)
    pauseShow();
    pImage = 'No';
    var rows = dsAlbums.getData();
    var albumid = rows[i]["albumid"];
    var url = "xml/PicasaAphotoFeed.asp?albumid=" + albumid;
    dsPhotos.setURL(url);
    dsPhotos.loadData();
    var rowcount = dsAlbums.getRowCount() - 1;
    var nextalbum;
    var navnext;
    var n;
    The page is here www.thehmc.co.uk/photo5.html is you want to see it in context.
    In your case showAlbum would switch between Frank.xml or Wolfie.xml depending on how you decide to name your xml datasets.

  • Is there a better way to re-render audio waveforms (after changing media files)?

    I'm shooting documentary footage on RED cameras at 6K resolution.  That generates a large amount of media.  The RDC format records R3D media files in 4GB chunks, which is actually relatively short compared to my hours-long media captures.  I've discovered that it's very handy to simply delete the R3D files from the RDC folder in cases where nothing is actually happening at that moment.  Since each R3D media file is timecode stamped, these actually stay in sync with my master audio track.  And Premiere Pro sensibly places gray diagonal bars where the underlying R3D files are missing.  All good.
    What's not good is that Premiere Pro confuses itself about the starting point of the PEK files.  Instead of simply greying out the part of the audio waveforms that are missing due to the missing media, it shifts the *waveform* to start at the location of the first R3D clip that is present, which is wrong.  If I clean the cache, quit the project, restart the project, and let it rebuild the cache, the audio waveform is correctly drawn.
    An ideal fix for this problem would be for Premiere Pro to recognize that if it re-links media it should re-render the audio PEK file.  An OK work-around would be to make it easy to just re-render the PEK file for a given media clip.

    A slightly quicker way to do what you described for an images is to select 'Duplicate version' instead of 'New version from Master' and then 'Remove adjustments' from version 1. This will leave you with the first version as the 'before' and the second version as the 'after' without having to use L&S.
    If you need to do this for 108 images, it might be quicker to do the following:
    Export Masters for all 108 images.
    Reimport these into a new project (called 'before', for example)
    You will then have a new project with the 'before' images and your original project with the 'after' images. You could then build an album to group all of these together. When you've finished with the 'before' & 'after' images (build your web gallery or emailed them or whatever), simply delete the 'before' project.

  • Report resolution (96DPI or higher than 96 DPI) in regards to image quality

    We have discovered that the default rendering mode for reports in WebI is 96 DPI, even though the SDK seems to allow more flexibility than that, so we are wondering if there is some hidden option to cause WebI to render content at a higher DPI.
    The specific problem we are having is in regards to some images that render very poorly at 96 DPI in our reports.  We can render them at a higher DPI (say 300 DPI for better print quality) and then allow them to be scaled down using the "Stretch" option, but the quality is not nearly as good as our imaging software, and the solution does not work in HTML mode.  So that's not an option.
    To be honest, I'm surprised about the way things work in this regard, because we should be able to produce high quality images in our reports.  96 DPI is never used for final print quality work.  At least InfoView has an option for CrystalReports to render at 120 DPI, but I'm not sure if that only effects the display or not, and if it automatically adjusts offsets that were calculated at 96 DPI when the report was designed.
    If we could somehow determine the display mode in a function (e.g., print versus display, or get the DPI, or PDF/HTML/JRP, or something), then we might be able to use a different image (each rendered at a different DPI) depending on the mode.  That would be an odd workaround, but if there's no way to change the resolution, this would be great also.
    Any suggestions on either front?  We need these images to display with at least a "normal" print quality resolution.

    Please refer to SAP Knowledge Base Article 1307814 - File size is disproportionately large when Web Intelligence 3.1 report with charts is saved to PDF format .
    Pasting the resolution details below:
    For WebIntelligence version XIR2
    Install BOXIR2 Service Pack 4 FP 4.10 : in this release, developers have given the option to edit the DPI setting.
    To solve this problem, change the resolution to 96 DPI in the webiviewer.properties file at the following location :
    <ApplicationServer-Webapps>/businessobjects/enterprise115/desktoplaunch/WEB_INF/classes/ webiviewer.properties
    For BOXI3.1, the DPI setting remains as default 300.
    To solve the problem edit the DPI value in this xml file under the pdf section where the comment says you can edit in the path :
    <installed directory>\win32_x86\config\bobjserver\caching_media_profiles.xml
         2.   Restart the servers
    Note : Take necessary back up of the files before doing any changes. Also any new patches if applied, you might be required to re-do the changes to the respective files. Please edit the files carefully ONLY under the sections which says you can edit the DPI Values.

    Hello Devster,
    Thank you to post your question on TechNet forum.
    After reviewing the whole post, I have a question to you. You can access the report via the link, http://myServer/Reports_DEVPROJECT/Pages/Report.aspx?ItemPath=%2fData+Mgmt%2fSample+Letter.
    From the URL, I can see that the report is located at: /Data Mgmt/Sample Letter, instead of /DataMgmt/Sample Letter. In addition, I found that the target report is "/DataMgmt/Sample HAP Letter" instead of "/DataMgmt/Sample Letter" as the error described. I
    am not sure whether you post out the correct code segment.
    Please check the above things on your side, and hope it is helpful to you.

  • Not able to Render more than two asset type in a drop zone on page

    Hi All,
    I have created two different assets by making two different flex family.
    I need to render these two assets in a single drop zone on a page.
    Can some one tell me how is it possible to make a drop zone on page which will be able to take two different type of assets because while creating Page attribute when i select page attribute of type asset there is no option through which i can select more than two asset types.
    Thanks & regards,
    Ankur Bhatia

    Hi Rodney,
    Thanks for ur Reply.
    While creating page attribute on admin site,when we select attribute type as "asset" a dropdown list comes just below through which we can select only a single asset.
    how to use a list option here or how can we create it so that it can be used with various asset types.
    Also in avisports site there is no drop zone which can contain more than one asset of different type.
    The Drop zone contains here all the assets of same type.
    Thanks and Regards

  • Why do I need to render an imported clip in the timeline to view it??

    I can't figure this out.I have used FCP 3 many times before but now I have imported an H264.mp4 clip into my timeline using FCP 4.5. Now I have to render it to watch it in the timeline?It appears that I have to render any clips I import into the timeline including .mov files.
    Is this a FCP 4.5 thing?
    I am operating a Dual 867 G4 with 2 gigs of Ram. 10.4.6 OS.
    It will take forever to render this project as it is Hours of HD footage.
    Thanks so much for any help.
    Never had this issue with non HD footage using FCP 3.
    G4 dual 867, 2 gig Ram Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Format: H.264 Decoder,368 x 208,Millions
    AAC, Stereo(L R).44.100 kHz
    23.98
    You're dimensions are 368x208? Never seen that size (though, I'm sure there are a multitude of sizes I haven't seen). Did you specify those dimensions in HandBrake or were they default? Did you set those dimensions in your sequence? Look at all of your columns in the browser in regards to the clip properties; enter all of those into the sequence settings. This may be wrong, but I would even specify H.264 as the compressor.
    Also, you said "HD footage", but you ripped it off a DVD. Was it a video DVD, or a data disc? If it was video, I believe it would have been compressed and down-rez'd already to SD, so it shouldn't really be HD footage anymore (not native anyway...unless it was a HD-DVD).
    Looking to maybe export H.264.mov as another format
    using Quicktime Pro. Think that will help?
    You could do this, I believe, but it may not be necessary.

  • Ssrs group report expand-collapse in html render

    I created a ssrs report in a server and this report has row groups. My use in the report is through my website as i use the reportexecutionserivcesoap to render the report in HTML4.0 format.
    I put the html result (after i set the parameters in my app server) in my website and the table looks good but the problem is that when i click the expand '+' icon of the group i get an error: "This report requirea a default or user-defined value for
    the report parametrt". I have read that the expand button sends a postback request to the report server so i assume that the postback request being sent without the parameters i already set.
    The ultimate behavior for me is the way the excel render works - all the data is already there, its just hided and when i click the '+' button the data in the group is visible again but i didnt find a way to change the html behavior...
    What can i do so the parameter (wich i noticed that exists in the html result in tags) will be sent to the report server in the postback request
    thanks ahead

    Hi alon0230,
    According to your description, when you use the reportexecutionserivcesoap to render the report in HTML 4.0 format, you comes an error as soon as you click the expand button.
    In your scenario, I would like to know if you add the subreport as the expanded content, and the subreport only run when the parameter values are specified. If so, please specify the parameter values for the subreport.
    Besides, since you mentioned you are using the reportexecutionserivcesoap to render the report, could you tell me which application you are using and how it works. And about the ultimate behavior you took, do you mean that you are exporting the report to
    Excel? Or render the report as Excel format with URL access? Please provide report design and some screenshots for our analysis.
    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.
