Regarding table display in ALV header

Hi,
I have a requirement please check the attached jpeg file.
Could any say how can i proceed with the layout to be displayed in the ABAP Report output.

Hi Goutham,
Use system fields SY-VLINE and SY-ULINE for designing output.
Here is one simple example to make you understand.
Classical report with sort option - Code Gallery - SCN Wiki
You can search for many examples in scn search also.
You have to put some of effort to achieve your design, but it is can be done using classical reporting.

I am displaying the fields of a Ztable in a ALV report. A maintainance view call button is attached to that report through which data of Ztable can be changed.Prolem is that when after changing the data when I return back to report, changes are not reflected.
Kindly suggest to solve this problem.
I am using ALV display through class.
I have already used these functions in the else condition of IF GO_CUSTOM_CONTAINER IS INITIAL.
CALL METHOD go_grid->refresh_table_display.
CALL METHOD cl_gui_cfw=>flush.
For maintainance view I am using the function as
VIEW_MAINTENANCE_CALL on double clicking the maintain button.
Kindly suggest.

Ashutosh,
Just calling the REFRESH method will not work. You need to re-fetch the data into the same internal table which you using the displaying the data in the grid.
Probably you can write this data fetching as a subroutine and call this as soon as come back from the Maintenance screen. And updating the internal table, call the REFRESH method.
This should work.

Hierarchial Table Display

Hi all.
A user has requested a hierarchial table display, consisting of header rows and detail rows, both with multiple but different columns.
Something like the old FM REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY.
For example:
Purch. Order   Vendor   Name
   Item   Description        Material    Quantity   UoM
3800000001     123456   Widgets R Us
   20     Blue Widget        WID001            2    EA
   20     Red Widget         WID002            5    EA
   30     Green Widget       WID003            4    EA

I have had a look at Table with Tree (DEMO_TABLE_WITH_TREE), but from what I can see this UI only allows a single column for the hierarchy structure.
Does anyone know how to achieve a multi-column hierarchial display in a table ? Any suggestions or comments appreciated.

Are you using 'REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE' for displaying the header?
If yes, then I think it is not possible. Instead, use the events table to achieve it.
Use the 'REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET' FM to get all possible events and then modify
the events internal table to specify the form name to handle top-of-page event.
eg.

Create a header internal table with title and number of records.
At the later part of your program you should have found the total number of records ,now assign it to the header internal table and print it.

how can i change the column label text in a alv table display??
A similar kinda of question was posted previuosly where the requirement was the label text was needed and following below code was given as solution :

I have used he above code with slight modification in the MODIFYVIEW method of the view since it is a process after input. The component gets activated without any errors but while run time i get an error stating
"The following error text was processed in the system CDV : Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible."
i have checked in debugging and the error occured at the statement :
lr_column = lr_column_settings->get_column( 'CURRENT_YEAR' ).Please can you provide me an alternative for my requirement or correct me if i have done it wrong.

ALV - need to sum values of internal table and display in ALV

I have data in internal table as:

Required output is :

Thinking of using ALV to pass the internal table and display as classical report (and also to save as excel spreadsheet).
Counting your help on the following questions:
1) How to accomplish the sum in ALV report? Can ALV FM do that or one has to use ABAP to compute the sum from the given internal table?
2) Mat_A can have more date values. Here it got 3 distinct date values 19990101, 20080601, 20080501. If it has say 5 date values, how to create the ALV date columns (from 3 to 5 date columns) dynamically?

for the sum inalv we use generally..

Get Multiple Rows into internal Table using Webdynpro Alv Display ..

Hi guys ,
I need to find out the logic for getting all the selected rows into the internal table.
When i display the ALV Output on webdypro screen .
USer Selects multiple rows for further processing ..
Ineed to get all the rows selected by user into an internal table .
Please let me know how to achive this ...

Hi,
You need to use the method GET_SELECTED of IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE to get the rows selected. Also ccheck for the paramters of that method, this retruns the element set.
