Region Position 01 loads before 'Before Regions' processes?

Bug?
I'm using HTML DB 2.0 and it appears that the region in Region Position 01 loads before my 'Before Regions' process. The process sets a page item's value to null and all the regions on the page are conditional for 'Item not null' for that item. All of them are hidden except for the region in Region Position 01 until the next page load where the item is already null -- only then all the regions are hidden. I'm using 'Before Header' now instead, but that has a nasty implication.
Pavel

I think I have an idea of what's causing it and how you can reproduce it.
Edit your template and have it contain the following:
#REGION_POSITION_01#
#BOX_BODY#
#REGION_POSITION_02#
Note that region position 01 is before #BOX_BODY#.
Try it now :)

---- Update:
Ordered them like this: body, reg1, reg2, .... and no longer using 'body' on that page. That fixed the problem.

  • DO we need to run Info Package every time before DTP Process to load the da

    Hi friends,
    IN BW 7.0 do we need to run every time the Info Package before DTP process to load the data into target or only one time we need to run the Info package then from that point onwards we need to run DTP process, Please let me know. basically I am planning to create the process chains so I should put Info package before DTP to load the deltas or full load??
    Thanks a lot,
    Harshan

    Hi,
    When you are loading from source system i.e. datasource to target, you will always have to use an infopackage to load to PSA and a subsequent DTP.
    When loading for instance from DS to Cube, you only need to schedule a DTP.
    I hope this helps you.

  • Can you delete ODS indexes before loading each time in Process Chain

    Can you delete ODS indexes before loading eachin time in Process Chain and rebuild them just like a cube.And do you have to delete the indexes if its a daily refresh where data is deleted and a full update is done everyday.

    Hi,
    Are you using Secondary Indices on the ODS objects. I thought the Primary Index (which is also the Key Part of the ODS) is automatically updated during the Data Activation in the ODS. I am not sure if the Secondary Indicies are also automatically updated by the system.

    I updated my Macbook Pro last week to Lion.  I went to go import pictures from a memory card to my iPhoto, but only a portion of them loaded before my iPhoto froze and I had to Force Quit it. Now iPhoto won't even open... Help!
    Please! I need an answer fast!!!!

    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • How to Set CheckBox values in Before Headr Process

    In my Before Header process I read a database table that contains a code field that I would like to use to have my checkbox values checked if the field contains one of the values.
    Example the database file my have "LWR"
    On the form the Check box is
    L - For Loading
    W - For Waiting
    R - Relase
    P - Posted
    J - Job
    .....etc
    So when I read the record for my above example I would like L, W, and R checked.
    What is the best method to do this?
    THanks.

    Are you storing the values with their ":" separators (like 'L:W:R')?  If so, the checkbox code does the transformation logic.  In which case, there is no need to code insertion of the : when populating the checkbox.  No need to remove them before saving the values.

  • "before header" processes and page items

    I want that a process running in "On Load before header" in page X see an item value the was submitted to it from page Y.
    How can that be done?

    The thing is the page item in page X gets it's value as a URL submission from a page X link, so the page item hasn't been evaluated yet in before header stage.

  • OS command before file processing in Sender File adapter

    Hi there,
    I'm having troubles running a os command from the sender file (NFS) adapter.  The batch file which I try to run is not getting executed at all.
    When I manually run the same batch file from the command prompt then it works perfectly.
    The OS command looks like this from the adapter config:
    myserver\xi\interface\in\dothis.bat
    I have also try with this notation
    G:\myserver\xi\interface\in\dothis.bat
    Please give me some tips how can I solve this problem, is there any way how can I debug the OS command? When I look at the adapter monitonr no errors are showed.
    Thanks for any tips.
    Roberto

    Hi all,
    The problem is solved.
    Issue: File Receiver Channel does not execute the OS Command before message processing.
    Reason: XI always expects an input file (in my case the sender communication channel) on the source folder. If no input files are found then the rest of the adapter configuration is not executed at all.
    In our scenario the OS command is responsible for retrieving the input files from a FTP server the adapter. SO XI will never trigger the OS Command.
    Solution: Place a dummy input file on the source folder , the sender adapter will always read in this file and put it back on the same location.(e.g. using a condition in the receiver determination).
    Thanks,
    Roberto

  • Flash video on web page takes long very time to load before it starts playback

    I just created a basic flash file to play a video on my web page and it's taking several minutes to load before it starts playback.
    I'm using progressive downlaod and the file is in *.mov format and is 84MB in size. At first that seemed large to me for web play back, but I thought it could handle it since I thought the way progressive download works is that it would start playing the first frame right away and progressively play other frames as they download. However, this seems to be downloading the whole file first (or a major part of it) before starting any playback at all.
    Is there some kind of setting I'm missing or is my understanding of the download incorrect and the file size is too large?
    Some vitals:
    - I'm using Flash Pro CS5
    - To create my flash file, I used the standard import video wizard and selected the a file that is "on my computer" and "load external video with playback component" and then, I selected one of the standard skins.
    - To deploy the vidoe on my webiste I have three files:
    1) swf file containing the FLV component
    2) the swf file related to skin
    3) the actual video (84MB, mov file)
    - Web page includes/embeds reference to swf file

    Thanks for your response again. Looks like things have changed a bit to complicate this a little more.
    adninjastrator wrote:
    Are you saying that if I wait long enough it will start to play .... from the link you posted?
    What you are implying here is correct. The file won't play no matter how long you wait.  Looks like it's because of the "source" file settings in the Import Wizard may now be incorrrect. This is why it's not playing in the new file.
    When I created my original Flash Video using a MOV file, during the import wizard, when asked "Where is your video file?" I selected the option "Already deployed to a web server...". Here I entered the url to where the video file is located on my production server.
    When I created the new Flash Video using F4V file, during the import wizard, when asked "Where is your video file?" I selected the option "On your computer". Here I selected the file from my local drive.
    Sorry for not pointing out the inconsistency earlier - I didn't think it mattered and plus I couldn't get the F4V file to import from the web server.
    Anyway, I've changed my object tag using the acutal published html that flash generates and have uploaded all source files to same location.
    http://www.upperhand.com/tv/video-intro.html
    To sum up the problem(s) I need help with:
    Issue #1 - When trying to import F4V file using import wizard, I cannot use "Already deployed to a web server..." as an option for the file location. I believe this is creating issue #2
    Issue #2 - For some reason, the F4V file will not load into the SWF file when it's published to my production server.
    It works when viewing locally through browser as c:\inetpub\wwwroot\mywebsite\video-intro.html
    It doesn't work when viewing on development server through browser as http://localhost/mywebsite/video-intro.html
    It doesn't work when viewing on production server through browser as http://www.mywebsite.com/video-intro.html
    Issue #3 - When the above are resolved, I'm not certain if my orignal question/issue will be resolved...  browser tries to downlaod full file before any playback.

    You can never, never migrate an installed copy of PSE. It's just too complex and you can't get to all the bits and bobs.
    First you will have to download and run this:
    Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
    which will not seem to do anything, but is necessary to break the links within PSE so that you can pitch the bits manually. Then you will have to go around, not only to applications, but also to your username>library>preferences and most importantly to the library at the top level of your hard drive>application support>adobe, and remove everything you can find. Spotlight will not help with this kind of search, so don't try that.
    Then you can install PSE from scratch.

  • Collection inaccessible from Before Header process

    Hi,
    I have a form based on the Matrix Order application. There's a collection-based report with a bunch of text fields that can be updated and a column with a "Remove" item that basically calls a conditional Before Header process to remove the item from the collection. What I want to do is update the collection (with the values that the end-user may have entered in the updateable columns) prior to removing any item. So when the user clicks on "remove", first I do an update_member_attribute and finally I remove the item the user chose. My problem is that the updates are skipped altogether; the code is not even executed, but the removal is. It's like the collection doesn't exist at one point, but exists the next. I added an insert into a dummy table to see how many items the collection had, and it returned zero. However, the delete worked just fine. Can you have a look at my code, to see if I'm missing something obvious? Thanks a lot!
    Here's the code in the Before Header:
    --Here we find out how many rows in the collection
    select count(*) into c from apex_collections where collection_name = 'ORDER';
    insert into table1 (column1) values ('to update '||i); --This inserts "to update 0" into my dummy table.
    --Update collection - nice try!
    FOR x IN 1..APEX_APPLICATION.g_f01.COUNT --This code is skipped; according to the previous select, the collection has 0 rows
    LOOP
    c := x;
    apex_collection.update_member_attribute
    ( p_collection_name => 'ORDER',
    p_seq => APEX_APPLICATION.g_f03 (x),
    p_attr_number => 4,
    p_attr_value => APEX_APPLICATION.g_f01 (x) );
    apex_collection.update_member_attribute
    ( p_collection_name => 'ORDER',
    p_seq => APEX_APPLICATION.g_f03 (x),
    p_attr_number => 6,
    p_attr_value => APEX_APPLICATION.g_f02 (x) );
    END LOOP;
    --This works fine, however!!!
    apex_collection.delete_member(p_collection_name => 'ORDER', p_seq => :P612_SEQ_ID);
    I've tried placing the code in a "On submit" process but it's never executed. I guess that the links on report columns are not considered submits, just redirects or something else.

  • FTP - Run OS Command before file processing

    Hi,
    I have a requirement wherein I need to FTP a file from XI to a folder in a FTP server . Now FTP Server is set up in such a way that I cannot put the file directly. Before transferring the file , I have to use CD ( change directory command ) to access a particular folder and then transfer the file. This means that I cannot give the folder information directly to TARGET DIRECTORY.
    To address this, I decided to use the feature "Run OS Command BEFORE file processing " . And wrote a command 'cd <foldername> .It is not working. Then I tried using "Run OS Command AFTER file processing "  and it also didnot work.
    Does anyone have any clue how can I address this requirement using FILE Adapter.
    thanks,
    rakesh

    HI,
    OS commands will be executed in XI server not in the FTP server. So first you need to connect into FTP server and then you need execute CD command.
    option 1) Get the absolute path ie direct path from FTP server so that you can directly connect to FTP server's specific directoty
    22) In this case , write the file into your XI server itself by NFS File Transport protocol. Then ftp this file from your XI server into FTP server using Shell Script.
    So write a shell script which will be executed in the XI server, inside this write a logic of tranfer of files with FTP protocol. This shell script is executed from the Reciever File adapter with the option OS command.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Moorthy

  • RUN OPERATING SYSTEM COMMAND BEFORE MESSAGE PROCESSING

    hi.
    just i want to know what is the purpose of run operating system command before message processing,after message processing under file sender adapter.
    waiting for your great answer.
    bye.
    regards.
    seeta ram.

    Hello Seeta,
    let me see if I give it using a simple scenario that I implamented : i nedd to transfer a very large file from one server to the other by XI.
    to save space and network traffic I use an OS command before picking up the file to run a zip command to zip the file.
    after I transfer the file to the target server I run another OS command after the transfer to unzip the file.
    now to your second question:
    the before Os command on the target server is used mostly for checks (make sure there isn't a file by that name or backing up existing data)
    and the after sender OS command is usualy for backing up or erasing existing files (cause it is done only after the first part was finished succesfully).
    Uri Lifshitz.

  • OS level command before message processing

    Hello
    I am getting the files from the SFTP server through the shell script and expecting to be processed by my File sender adapter.
    I have configured my File adapter which will poll the directory into which the shell script gets the file and it is scheduled at say 60 sec duration and i had configured OS level command before message processing.
    But when i monitored my communication channel and also my directory I found out that its not executing the OS level command. I tried dropping the dummy file into the directory. This time when checked in comm channel monitoring, it executes the OS  level command and gets the file from the SFTP server and adapter polls the SFTP file as well. But i don't want to use dummy file each time.
    Is there any way by which we can always make adapter to execute OS level command. I tried various options like Process Empty files etc etc but no luck.
    Thanks in advance.
    regards
    rajeev

    Rajeev
    How about placing a dummy file of 0 bytes, setting up the 'Handling of Empty Files = Don't create message', Processing mode = 'Test' and then writing a post operating command script as well, to move all the files to archive directory except the dummy file.
    Not a clean solution but just a thought.

    If you want to delete filenames from Adapter use the following sample code:
    File adapter OS Command: D://server_dir//subdir//myCMDfile.bat %F
