Regza WL66: HDMI input stopped working

Hello,
the HDMI input of my Regza WL suddenly stopped working two weeks ago after having worked fine for several years. Before, different kinds of devices were recognized without any problem: DVD player, receiver, laptop, media player. Now, no device at all is recognized, the screen remains blue.
The cable is not the problem. I tried with different cables, and also tested the cables with other monitors; they're ok.
Is there any chance to fix this?
(The SCART and component input still works -- but that's not HDMI.)
Thanks in advance for any idea.
Sundowner

Hi
Im afraid the HDMI port may malfunctions.
The TV troubleshooting is very limited. To be honest you have no many options.
You could try to test different HDMI ports (there are two as mentioned by Keany) and you could also try to reset the TV to default.
But this is everything you can do
Im afraid if both HDMI ports are dead, you would need to get in contact with an service engineer available in your country.

  • MiniDP to HDMI: Sound stopped working

    Hi everyone,
I have a Macbook Pro and a Mini Display Port to HDMI cable and the sound output just stopped working. I used it last night and it worked perfectly. Now it recognizes that it's connected to my TV, and the display is fine, but when I go to System Prefs > Sound > Output and choose the TV, nothing happens (the sounds stops on my laptop, but nothing comes out from the TV). I've tried it with two different TVs (and I've used it with both of them multiple times before), but nothing worked. I'm planning to try it out with a friend's Macbook Pro to see if there's any difference, but in the meantime, any ideas?

I have found a workaround. I seems like if I unplugg the headphone jack, which is normally connected to my stereo, I can select HDMI as sound output in system preferences. It really makes no sense, I hope they fix this in the next release.

  • 30-pin hdmi adapter stopped working

I have a 3rd generation ipad with a 30-pin connector. I bought an hdmi adaptor and it worked fine for a dozen or so times. After a reboot it stopped working. ipad running iOS 6.1.3. My iphone is on the same version of ios but the adaptor works on my phone.

Cleaning the docking port didn't help. My other accessories still work.

  • [Solved] Key input stops working in urxvt in Openbox

For you who use the Openbox window manager and the urxvt terminal emulator, does your keyboard sometimes just kinda stop working in urxvt?
For example, in urxvt, type "openbox --reconfigure". Your keyboard stopped working, didn't it? "Alt-Tab" to another window and then back again. Typing in the urxvt windows works again!
Another example, load a urxvt window. Now go to a TTY (Ctrl-Alt-F2). Now go back to X. The same problem! No more keyboard input in urxvt!
This is a really minor bug. But seeing how Openbox is the most popular floating window manager and urxvt is the most popular terminal emulator for Arch Linux users, I can't believe that I'm the only one that noticed this...
Is there a way to fix this, so urxvt doesn't lose keyboard input?

I'm currently using the "rxvt-unicode-patched-left_ptr-unicode3" package, but I experienced the same problem with the official "rxvt-unicode" package.
As I expected, it sounds like the problem is just me... Maybe I can try creating a new user and slowly adding in my personal config files until urxvt breaks.

  • ALL HDMI inputs not working dead on LED wifi 32SL415U TV

Using Toshiba LED WiFi smart tv screen between TWC cable box & occasional gaming/work computer connected via HDMI on both. Since install of TWC 2 mos ago sometimes Cable box goes on fritz and I'd call TWC a few times to reset box. Last night complete black out while using computer, chkd cable box (which is always connected to tv), not working either.  Trouble shoot revealed HDMI cables are fine, also bought new HDMI cable, didn't help,  so all at once (3) HDMI inputs are DEAD.Connected old VGA cable btwn TV & computer so screen works now for comp...TWC still not working w/HDMI cable.Going to TWC store, hopefully they'll give me components & CISP to try install myself.I've reset cable box & reset Toshiba to default then re-installed box & still no HDMI.  1st question: Is this a known problem that has a basic solution when using TWC w/smart TV & computer used alternately because I see many complaints about this issue online?  Since many have this prob then does Toshiba sell the board?  Where do I find a repair place in my zip code? link?2. Is it a power surge problem? I've read because apt buildings are notorious for electrical grounding issues that a CISP on incoming coax may help keep this from happening in the 1st place or resolve issue if you put in a new board?   3.  Had absolutely np w/Toshiba b4 (except it needs a Qwerty board for net tv & youtube) since I bought it in 2011.  No one told me to turn off box when using tower, do I need to do that even with now using components & VGA instead of using HDMI?...I don't want the hassle of disconnect/turn-off each device every frggn time so if I must turn off alternately cable or tower is there a switch I can install, buy online? what's it called??4.  Will re-install of driver help?  If so, how do I re-install the driver for this model? Have a link?Hopefully not TLTRThanks.

As I said initially I've reset Toshiba and cable box.  Didn't fix HDMI problem.  If you wish to try anyway go to:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74E4gXlGyf8     Link above is video gives two options on how to access Toshiba tv reset mode to default settings.     Time Warner Cable tech came today.  Hooked up components, cable works now.  Still a pisser on why this happened only after hook-up install of TWC box.  Good luck!

  • HDMI audio stopped working on new 2010 Mac Mini

I am running snow-leopard server. I have the HDMI connected to a Pioneer Elite SC-27, then via HDMI to a Panasonic Plasma TV. I get the digital picture feed just fine on the TV, but there is no audio. I checked the audio settings, SC 27 is selected as output.
Audio was running fine earlier today... just stopped working. Anyone else experience bugs with the HDMI out audio?

Try shutting down the computer and turning off the receiver and tv.
Take out the HDMI cable and swap the ends and make sure it's seating fully in both ports.
Then turn on the receiver and tv.
Then power on the Mini and immediately hold down these 4 keys on the keyboard: COMMAND OPTION P R
Hold them down until the computer chimes 3 times.
See if that resolves the problem.
If it doesn't, I would try another HDMI cable.

  • Why has my hdmi cable stopped working?

My sister and I both have macbook pros (purchased Sept 2011), the same samsung HD TV and the same hdmi cable.
The hdmi cables worked absolutely fine for a good few months after we bought them from the apple store, however recently the cables have both stopped working completely! The TV stays blank and simply says 'No signal' and the laptop doesnt change screen at all. I've tried different settings on the laptops, turned both TV and laptop on and off etc but with no luck. It's making me think that the faulty variable is the cable? I doubt I'd be able to get a refund or excange from apple since they were bought a while ago.
If anyone has any suggestions/explainations it would really help!

Be advised that a kindle is not an Apple product.  I suggest that you contact Amazon.
    Ciao.

  • HDMI sound stopped working when upgrading to Lion

I have a mini connected to my TV via HDMI (video and audio). It has worked nicely until a few days ago when I upgraded to OS X Lion, then the audio disappeared. If I open System Preferences -> Sound -> Output I can see two possible outputs, the earphones and my TV. If I try to select the TV as output it is immediatly changed back to earphones.
It all worked fine in leopard, does anyone have a clue why it has stopped working in Lion?

  • IMac, mini-DVI to HDMI connection stopped working

    Hi,
I recently switched from my good old white plastic iMac (late 2006, 20", Lion, 10.7.5 ) to another, slightly newer alu-body iMac (mid 2007, 20", Mountain Lion, 10.8.3).
As before I used a Samsung SyncMaster as "desktop extension" connected via mini-DVI to a mini-DVI to HDMI adapter ( http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0088BUT40/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00 ).
The Samsung monitor is recognized, system information is able to report about it, system logs are fine, nothing special - BUT: no image. The Samung display remains dark.
I already searched the internet, the community, the whatever came to my browser.
I think it is an HDPC or windowserver issue but I have no idea if I can fix it.
    Any ideas?
    Sven

Do you have the correct HDMI input selected in the TVs menu...?
Aditionally, there might also be settings for connecting a PC to the TV.

  • Keyboard input stopped working on Solaris 11 Live x86 Toshiba R835 Notebook

I can boot, and keyboard input works for login, but does not work for xterm, terminal, Firefox, ... Mouse works for gparted and apps. It did work for 8 hrs but stopped. Any suggestions ?

I would be googling for that. E.g. see thread.
So did you update xkeyboard-config? It's tedious that you haven't had the sense yet to list which packages got updated, along with version numbers.
It's nice to see you enter here, brebs!
    A few things have happened:
I just noticed that the file '/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc' isn't present at all! It was present when I posted the thread (I think). So X didn't even start. I had to create .xinitrc in my home directory with single like 'exec xterm'. X started fine but keyboard still didn't work.
Out of nowhere, I thought of using nouveau drivers instead of Nvidia drivers. So I went ahead and switched to nouveau and bam - keyboard is working. Enabled GDM and keyboard is still working. I still would like know what went wrong with Nvidia - for educational purposes.
What more details should I provide? I'd like to have Nvidia drivers back.

  • [solved] [radeon] HDMI audio stopped working, video too fast

I'm using the `xf86-video-ati` driver, which worked fine up until when I upgraded Arch, after some weeks of not doing so. Now the HDMI audio is silent. Also, when I set the audio to output to HDMI in the GNOME sound menu, videos are playing faster. I tried setting the `radeon.audio=1` kernel commandline, but it didn't help or even change anything.

  • My mdp to hdmi adapter stopped working properly

The adapter worked fine on my 2010 MacBook Pro. I recently changed to a 2012 MacBook Pro and now the same adapter isn't working anymore. Is it something to do with the latest Mavericks 10.9.2 update??.

Thanks - although I already downloaded the YouTube app. To me it looks like it launches video differently - I am not sure it's using the native video player anymore.
To be honest I could live without YouTube. But I cannot live without all the iTunes TV Shows that I have paid for - that I now cannot watch.
I really, really wish I never upgraded to iOS6 - then my iPad 3 would still happily send HDMI to me TV

  • X-Fi I/O Drive SPDIF input stopped working - driver issue?

HI have an X-Fi Platinum card with the I/O Dri've module that I have been using for some time now to accept digital input via digital coaxial cable from my Alesis Multimix 6 music mixer to mix down and record MP3s from my hardware music synthesizers. I am running Windows XP SP3. The SPDIF input has always worked like a charm until I updated the driver via Creative AutoUpdate. The SPDIF input no longer registers any signal, but it still shows in both Creative Volume Panel and Windows Volume Control. Default sound input and output is set to X-Fi (D000). I tried uninstalling the new driver and reinstalling the original driver, and the SPDIF input is still dead.
Is this a known driver issue? Any idea on how I can get this working again?
    Thanks, all.
    Larry

I/O dri've now works with this software?http://forums.creative.com/creativel...essage.id=7369?which includes the 3/5/07 driver. Steve
