Related to the '40508' PL/SQL Error
WHEN I DELETE A RECORD IN THE RUNTIME , IT SHOWS THE '40508' PL/SQL ERROR MESSAGE, WICH SAYS THAT I CAN'T TO INSERT INTO ANY TABLE, BUT I'M NOT INSERTING ANY RECORD IN THAT TRANSACTION, I'M DELETING.
IT HAPPENS WHEN I OPEN A QUERY INTO A GRID LINK TO THE DATA BASE.
I WONDER ?WHY IT HAPPENS?.
null
Is there a trigger for delete on the table you delete from? That one might try to insert something in a table and that record doesn't respect the constrtaints.
Or is there some trigger within your form that tryes to insert something somewhere.
Or have you by mistake created some records in your form before deleting? If that is the case, then FORMS sees those records as records to be inserted and, by default, attempts an insert, that, in your case happens to fail for some reasons.
Best of luck,
BD

JBO-27122: SQL error during statement preparation Error
Hello,
I am trying to use a standard page with some navigation modification. Here is what i did.
Created a custom menu of type sub tab. It has three section
1.Create Offer
2.Offer Workbench
3.Template.
Here Create Offer and Offer Workbench are like Search page.
Attached this custom menu to a custom responsibility.
The custom responsibility is working fine.
Suppose i open this menu, the first display page in Create Offer page.
Now Consider the scenario. I Open the menu. Create Offer opens. Now i navigate to Offer Workbench tab. I query and it returns some result. Now i navigate back to the Create Offer tab. When i try to navigate back to the Offer Worknbench tab. i get the JBO-27122: SQL error during statement preparation Error. This happens only when i do search operation in the 2nd tab and then go back to the 1st and again I try to come back to the 2nd tab. When i try the same with the 2nd and 3rd tab it is working fine. No error comes. What could have possibly gone wrong. Share your knowledge on this.
Please find the error stack attached below.

Regards,
PradeepHi Dilip,
Thanks for your reply. But that does not seem to be the problem. It was due to the Search query region. I was able to complete it.
This is the piece of code i added in processRequest of my extended controller to fix it.
OAQueryBean queryBean = (OAQueryBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("QueryRN");
queryBean.clearSearchPersistenceCache(pageContext);

EA21 feature "Whenever SQL Error Stop Executing Script User Preference"
Has anyone come across the feature "Whenever SQL Error Stop Executing Script User Preference" in the new 2.1 release. Doesn't seem to be among the items on the new feature list. This has always been a stumbling block for us in terms of adoption.
The OTN feature request says scheduled for 2.1.
ThanksWell yes, like that you can give up on sqldev all together too, as we got sqlplus... duh.
Seriously, we were referring to the request accepted for 2.1.
Thanks for the tip anyway, for sure it will benefit users that don't know it.

Cheers, APC -
As the title indicates, I'm having this error during installation. It occurs when I try to install
the "Management Studio" part of the program. I've tried a bunch of things like
copying to hard drive and installing, but to no avail. To isolate the problem, i've even tried removing Reporting services, since at the time of failure it seems to be trying to install/configure the Microsoft.Reporting Services dll.
Additionally, I have SQL Express installed (installed it separately, not as part of the SQL 2005 DVD), VS 2005, .NET Framework 2.0, SQL Management Studio Express CTP. Could the Management Studio Express be causing a problem?
Please note:
Although the error is about missing / corrupt Sql.cab, I have searched the entire dvd for the said file, but there is no file called Sql.cab on the dvd. Am I missing something?
Any solution would be greatly appreciated.
TIAI was installing SQLServer2014_Developer which I had just purchased as a 64bit iso download to VirtualBox Windows_10_64bit Instance that i had just created.
I got the following error about 90% through the SQLServer2014_Developer install:

Reading though the many Google hits going way back AD-2000/AD-2006/AD-2011/AD-2014 for various installs including SQLserver_2008/2012 etc
I noted that in the main there were x2 common themes.
1. Problem with corruption the original download.
--- Although I had not run the download checksum
--- I had previously just installed SQLServer2014_Developer successfully, so at the minute, I was confident downloads were ok.
--- Many hits mentioned this 'Sql.cab' file and 90% of the install had been successfull -
--- I figured the chances of us all having corruption of this one files were agaianst the odds and
--- probably re-downloading it would not fix this - but I kicked a re-download off anyhow .
While it was running ...
2. Network issue when installing - some of the hits asked if could be related to Virtual drives.
--- This struck a chord
--- I had downloaded the SQLServer2014 .iso to my host PC and then copied it onto one OneDrive so I could access it within the VirtualBox_Windows_10.
--- From within the VirtualBox_Windows_10 I had then used SetupVirtualCloneDrive5450.exe to mount the OneDrive SQLServer2014 .iso and then autorun the install.
What worked for me ...
--- I decided to
--- 1. Copy the same SQLServer2014 .iso that had failed to install x2 from OneDrive to the c:\ root of the VirtualBox_Windows_10.
--- 2. Remount the same SQLServer2014 .iso from c:\ again using SetupVirtualCloneDrive5450.exe.
--- 3. Re-run the SQLServer2014 install using the repair mode.
This time the [Maintenance] [Repair] install completed with all elements showing installed successfully.
Hope this helps

the error DbpError -28814 denotes that an object cannot be found.
Can you maybe tell me your exact liveCache version (incl. Build level) and LCA Build?
Additionally, please copy the relevant error information from the file (/sapdb/data/wrk/<SID>/)knldiag.err into this thread.
Which exact 'liveCache test program' are your referring to (which of the /SAPAPO/... transactions)?
Kind regards,

dear all,
i have done a system copy from production server into quality server. quality was scrapped and freshly installed with SAP then used the DB flush method to carry out the system copy. i had to change the DBS_ORA_SCHEMA in environment variables to SAP<SOURCE SID> from SAPSR3. the sap version is ECC6.0,DB is ORACLE10.2 on WIN NT.
after MMC opened, i get "SQL error in the database when accessing a table" error is coming. in SM21, I am getting "Transaction Canceled 00 671 ( DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR 20081018130339sibqty_QTY_00 SAPSYS 000 )

please do me this favor if you know to avoid this problem..
thanks a lot..Hello Anuj,
This is because the COUNT(*) is returning a value which is longer than the INT4 data type it is expecting. If you restrict the selection by introducing a WHERE clause, then you won't get the dump:
DATA: dyn_from TYPE string,
dyn_where TYPE string,
gx_sql_err TYPE REF TO cx_sy_open_sql_error,
gv_text TYPE string.
dyn_from = `DD01L INNER JOIN DD02L ON DD02L~AS4LOCAL = DD01L~AS4LOCAL AND DD02L~AS4VERS = DD01L~AS4VERS`.
dyn_where = `DOMNAME LIKE 'Z%'`.
TRY .
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM (dyn_from) WHERE (dyn_where).

CATCH: cx_sy_open_sql_db INTO gx_sql_err,

ENDTRY.
IF gx_sql_err IS BOUND.
gv_text = gx_sql_err->get_text( ).

Receiving SQL Error: INTERNAL_ERROR while executing the query
Dear All,
I am receiving the below error while executing a query.
SQL Error: INTERNAL_ERROR
Diagnosis
The database system registered an SQL error. As available, the error number and a description are included in the short text. Possible causes for SQL errors include:
Overflow of database objects such as buffers, temporary tablespaces, rollback segments or data containers/tablespaces.
->These problems can generally be eliminated by system administrators.
Missing generated database objects such as tables or views based on inconsistent or inactive InfoCubes or InfoObjects. Examples of this include the view of the fact table for an InfoCube or the attribute SID table (X/Y table) of a characteristic.
-> These problems can generally be eliminated by a BW administrator.
SQL requests with incorrect content.
-> Problems of this type are generally programming errors.
System Response
Procedure
Contact your system administrator.
Procedure for System Administration
If there is no error description, look for one in the reference from the database producer.
Decide on the correct category for the SQL error and check if it can be eliminated. Generally the error can also be found in the syslog (transaction sm21). From there, transactions sm51 and sm50, the developer's trace log of the work process can be determined and the erroneous statement can be viewed in the log. This procedure is described in SAP Note 568768.
Notification Number DBMAN 257
I verified the table spaces and also done RSRV Repair of InfoObjects and InfoCubes and didnt find any error. But I am receiving this error for one particular month and remaining months are executing fine. Any ideas why i am receiving this error.
Regards
Ravi YOSS Note 1305568:
Symptom
A data mart query that
you want to execute within a data transfer process (DTP), for example, terminates with the
SQL error -1013 "Too many order columns".
The following is displayed in the monitor log of the data transfer process:
Error while extracting from source xxxxxx (type InfoProvider)
Message number RSBK 242
Exception CX_SQL_EXCEPTION occurred (program:
CL_SQL_STATEMENT==============CP, include:
CL_SQL_STATEMENT==============CM004, line: 32).
Message number RS_EXCEPTION 000
SQL error: POS(3306) Too many order columns
Message number DBMAN 257
Error reading the data of InfoProvider xxxxxx
Message number DBMAN 305
You have already implemented Note 1065380.
Other terms
CX_SQL_EXCEPTION, message number, RS_EXCEPTION 000, DBMAN 257, RSBK 242,
RS_EXCEPTION 000
Reason and Prerequisites
The MaxDB internal limit of 4016 bytes or 128 fields for GROUP BY columns was exceeded.
Solution
When you implement these corrections, no aggregation is performed for the data (GROUP BY) if the limits of the MaxDB database have been exceeded.
The limit values for the aggregation bahavior can also be manually reduced if there are problems with the default values.
Two RSADMIN parameters are provided for this.
MAXDB_MAX_GROUP_BY_FLDS is the maximum number of GROUP BY fields. The default value is 128.
MAXDB_MAX_GROUP_BY_LEN is the maximum total length of the GROUP BY fields. The default value is 4000.

Recently i upgraded my SharePoint server 2013 to SP1, after the upgrade i received following message in manage database Status page " Databases running in compatibility range, upgrade recommended"
for Business Data Connectivity Database. Then i ran Sharepoint Configuration wizard, which fixed that error on that page but i am getting a error message while accessing BDCApplication page in manage service applications pagein central admin"
An internal database error occurred in the Business Data Connectivity Shared Service. SQL Error Number : 229
Sys Log :
The BDC Service application failed due to a SQL Exception: SQLServer host WSQLD05\DV. The error returned was: 'The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'proc_ar_GetAdministrationMetadataCatalogByPartitionId', database 'sp_BusinessDataConnectivity_DV13',
schema 'dbo'.'
I checked the Db role of the service app pool account, it has SPDataAccess permission over the Database. i cant recreate another application without knowing the root cause. I hope i can get better option to troubleshoot the issue.
Thank youAs per the error message, you can at least grant the BDC service application pool account the EXECUTE perimssions on the sp_BusinessDataConnectivity_DV13 database

Loading issue : Error: sql error in the database while accessing a table
Hello,
where as one of the DTP in the process chain failed due to *Error: sql error in the database while accessing a table*, where as in the short dump it showing as Transaction log of data base is full., but i checked the data base space in DB02, more space is available . once we run the same DTP by manually its successful. its not through any errors.
could u please help me out solve the problem.
Thanks
siva kumar.it might be a lock. do you drop index before loading?
the database might be full at the moment of loading and not later if many loadings happen at the same time on the same system...
when you then rerun your dtp manually, it can go through as it's perhaps the only one running at that moment...
you can try to set the btch parameter to 1...this will help in some cases.

SQL error occurred in the database when acces
Dear All,
I am getting following error message while doing file to file scenario.
source side messages are pickedup and entering into the Queues .receiver side i cant able to see any souce messages.
SYSFAIL Message is showing in the Queues when i was double click that message its giving following message.
SQL error occurred in the database when acces
a table.
Plz, help me in this regard.
Thanks,
MaheshHi Mahesh,
Did you get a chance to check the IPC log directories
Also usually for a sysfail message you can check the smw01
You will see a bdoc with status F05. What does it say there?
or
Is it "Scheduled for outbound processing" or "recorded for outbound processing".
I guess the message has not been processed, so the next step is to go to transaction SMQ2, and check for info as to why it is not processed.
If you see a queue status of SYSFAIL, first try resetting it to "Ready" again. If it still fails then, delete that particular LUW. And if you still have some more messages in the queue just click the unlock queue button.
Reward points if this helps
Regards
Pragathi.
