Relationship of iViews with HR Organization Structure

In an HR SAP Portal what is the relationship of iViews with HR Organization Structure.
Does the iViews and org structure pull from tables or the infotype data?

Hi,
In SAP HR ESS, MSS all Iview links we see in Overview page are configured in spro.
Yes there is relation exists in between portal I view and Hr infotypes. For portal Iviews Hr Infotypes acts like data providers and recivers.

    Thanks

    Hi there!
Hope you both don't mind but I am piggy backing on your OM discussion. You both sound like have good experience in working with Turkey. I am trying to find a standard infotype to store a Turkish Identification no, SSN, and Local ID card numbers. I am leaning towards IT0185 but first want to check around to see if there are Turkish infotypes specifically for these types of documentation. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.

  • Help in defining organization structure with reference to new gl

    Hi Experts,
I need some help in defining organization structure with reference to new GL. I have three legal entities spread across 17 locations. In each location there may be three legal company entities in operation. And in each company code there are 5 to 6 several product lines. I have defined 3 legal entities as 3 company codes, but my concern is how do i define these 17 locations as and how do i define these product lines. We do location wise reporting meaning if i take one location i draw P&L for all the 15 product lines of the combined 3 company codes. Like wise for we do individual location wise reporting. As ususal we do budgeting location wise for departments for each individual company code.
I thought of using business area as locations, but i heard SAP doesnt support anymore on business due to new gl concept and moreover business area doesnt populate in all transactions. Can we use new gl concept like segments and so, i am sorry i am very new to New gl. Can the location wise combined reporting be done in consolidation or it can achieved in new gl
Can somebody share their expertise on how to achieve this either my new gl or traditional gl.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Juan,
the view show is the employee selection - what the manager can see is restricted by their authorisations and depending on how you have configured the OADP selections used - on the root objects resolved for the manager and the selections that are used.
There are many posts on the use of OADP (Object and Data Provider) - have a search and you should find something useful.

  • Integrating EC organizational structure with SAP OM

    Hi experts,
Do you know if someone has successfully integrated EC Organizational Structure with SAP HCM OM Structure? I mean cases when the organizational struture is created and maintained in SuccessFactors and then transferred to SAP HCM OM (organizational units, positions, holders) in order to avoid double maintenance in SAP. Is there for instance an iFlow delivered by SAP to help with the integration? Just wondered if this kind of integration is worth trying or if it would too complicated.
    Thanks,
    Anna

You should read the EC to SAP ERP integration handbook (found at http://service.sap.com/ec-ondemand) as there are certain caveats regarding field lengths, etc. Ensure that your enterprise structure in Employee Central makes sense from an SAP perspective, because certain objects (e.g. a Department) can be shared by multiple parent objects (e.g. Divisions) and you need to ensure it will make sense in SAP in terms of workflows etc.

    can anyone help me?
    Regards

    Hi,
I tried to use RHMOVE00 to transport the organization structure.
In the transport request i  included one Organizational Unit , the Position within , and the Owners assgined to that position.
Then when we got the request transported to QAS from our Dev server, I am seeing that Organization Unit and Position have been transported successfully. But the Owners assigned to the Position have not been tranported, because i guess we were not able to transport the relationship between the Owner and the Position, which we are struggling to find that how to transport the relationship.
You have also mentioned about expert Mode. But could u please tell us or guide us to some documentation on how to access the object by Expert mode.

  • Organizational structure creation

    [Organizational Structure creation using HRMD_ABA;
Appologies if you saw this message on Friday, because I did originally post it under the general area. I was hoping that if I re-posted it under this area I might get a few more responses. I have included the one response I  got, plus my reponse, which does contain more detail about how I ran PFAL - program RHALEINI, and re poses the question about what needs to be created in SRM re an organisational structure, prior to doing an initial load using transaction PFAL.
    Many Thanks
    Claire
I am trying to set up the organizational structure in our SRM 7.0 system using our ECC 6 organizational structure. I have created all the required distribution models for SRM and ECC 6, and have set up the switch settings in SRM. The number range settings have been set to external.
As per OSS Note 36317, which concentrates on the initial distribution, and I am working through, I have run PFAL in ECC 6 only for object type O. The HRMD_ABA idocs have been successfully transferred to our SRM system, but all are at status 52.
The message for all the idoc segments is:
'You tried to create a relationship from object 01O 50000333 to object 01S 50000846. However, object 01S 50000846 does not exist or is not active in the period from 19000101 to 99991231'.
One thing I haven't done, which might be incorrect, is create an Organizational Plan in SRM. I specifically haven't done this because I am wanting to use external numbering, and therefore thought the organizational plan would get automatically created as part of the initial distribution.
Does any one have any idea how to resolve my problem?
    Many Thanks

    Hi Ashutosh
I intend to replicate 'S', as described in the note, but nothing has been created with my initial replication of 'O'. As per the note 363187 you are supposed to distribute type 'O' first before moving on to 'S'. Is there anything really fundamental I have missed that you are supposed to do in SRM either before or after the initial set of idocs for type 'O' are brought in?
I have also read the other 2 notes you mention.
    Note 363187 stated:
'Perform the following steps in the sequence given if the target system is a
    mySAP.com system (SEM, CRM, BBP/EBP):
    1. If you want to use the change pointers for later changes, activate
them at once. During initial transport, you should not maintain the
data in parallel in HR because the distribution takes the blocking
mechanism into account, which can cause an incomplete initial
    transport.
    2. All objects of object type O are distributed with program RHALEINI. As
a transfer mode, the update mode with infotype 1000 selection should
    be used.
This way you make sure that all objects of object type O are created
in the target system for existence checks.
    3. As previous step but for object type C.
    4. As previous step but for object type S.
So far all I have tried to do is up to step 2.
When running RHALEINI I have entered the following:
    Objects - Object Type = 'O'
Reporting Period - Today is selected
Transfer Mode - Insert is selected, with the Update Mode infotype set to 1000
I did think making a setting under the Update Mode Infotype seemed a little odd, as I was doing an insert, but is this not what point 2 from the OSS Note is telling me to do?
Any thoughts would be really helpful.
Am I supposed to create a skeleton Org structure before pulling in the ECC 6 structure when I am using external numbering?
    Thanks

  • Determination of KM document approvers from ECC Organizational Structure

    Hi,
As part of a requirement of my client, I need to determine the approvers of the KM folders automatically from the HR organizational structure that resides in the ECC side.
e.g. I want the document approval process to be started by the approval of my Finance specialist, then go on with the approval of Finance manager he/she is reporting to in the organizational structure and last with the approval of Finance director.
The organizational structure is as follows:
    HR Director
    |
    HR Manager
    |
    HR Specialist
The scenario mentioned above cannot be solved with roles or groups because the reporting relationship between the specialist and manager is of importance for the approval process.
Please suggest a way to determine approvers from the HR Organizational Structure on the ECC side. This does not have to be a standard solution and can involve some extra coding.
Thanks in advance for your support.
    Best regards,

    Hi SK,
I think it will be a total gross injustice to the robustness that the SAP GTS offers while executing global trade if you opt for asynchronous check for sales order and this is a very rare business case.
If anyhow a check is required for which the SAP GTS system is being used and if it is executed in real time rather than without any delay, then I see no reason to implement your suggestions as such.
But you can opt for asynchronous check by deactivating the functional module which is called when a sales order is saved and which transfers the latest recorded changes to the SAP GTS system.
For your second requirement, I can say if the GTS system has not checked your sales order, then how it can but a block on it instantaneously when the GTS system is up. For this you either need to wait for a while or get some customized code in play for placing a block automatically when a sales order is saved.

  • Graphical Display of Organization Structure in HR

While creating the organization structure some dummy org. units are created basically for reporting purpose.  However while displaying the same in graphical structure the dummy units are also displayed.
I would like to know if it is possible to hide these dummy org units while having the structural display.

    Hi Kerf,
Answer would be like this.. Let say : Your Root org unit is 100000 (i.e., ABC Industries) and your sub org units as follows
    100001 - Finance
    100002 - HR
100003 - Your DUMMY org unit
Now all these got created with a standard relationship as A-002 with 100000. Now You have 2 ways to hide your DUMMY org unit in the Organisation Graphical display..
    1. Deleting the Org object 100003 from Data Base
    2. Deleting only the relationship between Org Units 100000 and 100003.
If you want to delete the Org Unit... first goto SM30, give the table as T777I and Select the Org Infotype as 1000 and Click on the "Time Constraint"  and change the Time Constraint as 3 instead of "1" and now go to Report "RE_RHRHDL00" and Select the Plan Version, Object Type as "O" and Object ID as "100003" and Uncheck the TEST mode and execute. So that Org Unit 100003 will get deleted from data base...
If you want to delete the relationships : You can do this in PP01 and select the Object Type "O" and Object ID as 100000. Select the Org Units and Position which you want to delete. Click on Delete Now I hope you should not be in a position see those in Org Unit graphical display..

  • Organizational structure data retrieval

    Hi
I am trying to retrieve a list of the first level of employees reporting to a manager using the .Net Connector. I have used the HRWPC_RFC_GET_OBJECTS rfc used by the Team Viewer iView with viewid="A_ALL". This returns all the employees under the manager in the org structure, not just the first level under the manager. If I use VIEWID="Y_DIR" I get data that is related to organizational unit and position, not people. Does anyone know how to retrieve only one level of people reporting to a manager?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    try with viewid="A_DIR".

  • Defining Organizational Structure

    Hi
When we are implementing SAP HR in an organization, we have to define Org Structure and Enterprise Structure. I am kind of clear about the Enterprise Structure but I am little confused about the Organizational Structure. What are the things or parameters to be kept in mind while talking to the customer for defining the Organizational Structure? I am very much comfortable with the concept of Org Units, Jobs, Positions, Cost Centers and the different relationships. What I am looking for is the functional viewpoint. How do we decide what will be the Org Unit and how do we build the whole tree?
Thanks in advance for the answers.

    Hi FS
Usually in SAP HR an Organisational Unit is a department,
Position is very specific to a person's profile (fr e.g.: Personnel Manager)
A Job is a generic term like Manager.
So in simple terms as per the SAP standards also while discussing with client we need to conside all the reporting relationships between department  to department (O-O) position to position. Job is a supporting element in the Org Structure,
It may be possible that in the clients schenerio some dotted line reporting structures will be there
so we need to consider this also while designing the structure.
But If you consider departments as Orgainsational units then this will be very easy for client to understand also
    Thanks
