Release date, vendor ID, and account joining?

It is great to see the continuing of updates to ADE, especially for accessiblity! I have a few questions:
1) Is there any ETA for the release of ADE 1.8? It seems it has been previewing for quite a while
2) It seems 1.8 adds support for pass-hash ("social") DRM ("B&N"). However, will ADE 1.8 support the "Vendor ID" feature?
3) opening a book fulfilled to an Adobe ID that is different than the Adobe ID ADE is activated with: ADE 1.8 now prompts for the new Adobe ID credentials.
-This is nice!
-Is this performing a "join" of those two Adobe IDs? Or is it just activating both and leaving the two Adobe IDs un-joined?
Thanks!

@asanford-EP just add a book which was fulfilled with a VendorID and the form to activate it will pop up... though... it didn't worked for me
but it worked with a previous activation of VendorID, made wrongly by our software, overwriting the data from ADE 1.7
... I opened the book with ADE 1.8 with the old activation, and that worked... I couldn't open my old books though (AdobeID activated) ... probably cause I ran out of activations
I opened up another discussion for that... http://forums.adobe.com/message/4538045#4538045

• New HP Envy15 release date in France (and Taiwan?)

Hello there!
I'm very interested in getting the latest HP Envy15, but so far it seems it's only available in the US...
When will it be released in France and/or Taiwan?
Also, if it is released in those countries, will it be as customizable as it is in the US? I would like to get one with SSD drive, for instance...
If there is no plan to have it released in Europe or in Taiwan, is it possible to oreder it from the US and get it delivered in one of those countries?
Thanks in advance!

• New firmware m1217nfw release date and other questions ...

Hi everybody!
Does anybody knows when a new firmware update will be released? It seems that the latest release (2013-09-30, version 20130912) has a serious known issue and HP recommends : "Please do not update with this version" on the web site ...
The problem is that the version installed on my printer (version 20130211) seems to have a potential security vulnerability. The vulnerability could be exploited remotely to gain unauthorized access to
data! An intermediate firmware version (2013-07-26, version 20130703) was previously released to correct this issue but I can't find it on hp web site. Does anybody knows where I can find it???
My last question is about firmware update : HP recommends to update firmware by using an USB 2.0 cable connected to the printer. I successfully updated the firmware (twice) with the network interface of the printer. Should I avoid this method and use an USB 2.0 cable?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

You can't.
They did this for a reason, as part of FairPlay.
There's no way to get around this.....
If the information on the purchase content is wrong (like wrong release date), contact Apple, and they might be able to correct it.

• Why can't "release date" and other info be edited?

In iTunes 9 for Mac, I've noticed a new information field called "Release Date". However, that field is not in the info tab when editing the file info. Clicking on that field does not make it editable either. Does not matter which song. What is wrong? Why is this field not in the edit info tab?

• Validation required so that invoice, billing and accounting is done on same

Validation required so that invoice, billing and accounting is done on same date as the PGI date. Very urgent please help.
Please look into the below scenario.
Excise invoice posting date u2013 07.10.2011
A/c doc posting date u2013 29.09.2011
Reflecting in dispatch report of 07.10.2011.
GL affecting in the month of Sep.
So it want that on PGI date, billing , invoice and accounting enteries are created

Dear Jalaj001,
PGI date will be taken by system as the billing date in VF01 unless the user manually changes it.
Accounting Posting date can be controlled by settings for document type RV.
For excise invoice creation and posting date, i think you will have to use EXITs.
But i am not sure and will leave it for the experts to comment upon.
Thanks & Regards,

• Oracle9i Release dates

Has Oracle9i been officially released or is it still in beta mode ?
I scanned Oracle web sit and did not find any course offerings or OCP tracks for Oracle9i leading me to believe it is still in beta.
If not what are the proposed release dates for Unix and Nt ?

If you are asking about 9i Application Server, the production version of Oracle 9i Application Server is available TODAY from the Oracle store and via trial download from the Oracle Technology Network (http://technet.oracle.com).
However, I suspect that you are asking about the 9i Database.. For that, I am checking with the beta program folks for that, and expect an answer soon..

• Difference between Invoice Date, GL Date and Accounting Date Oracle AP

Hello,
I have a question that might help a lot of people too later.
I tried to run these queries
select aia.INVOICE_ID
from AP_INVOICES_ALL aia, AP_INVOICE_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL aida
where aia.INVOICE_ID = aida.INVOICE_ID
and aia.INVOICE_DATE <> aida.ACCOUNTING_DATE
select aia.INVOICE_ID
from AP_INVOICES_ALL aia, AP_INVOICE_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL aida
where aia.INVOICE_ID = aida.INVOICE_ID
and aia.GL_DATE <> aida.ACCOUNTING_DATE
I can see that there are lot of results for these queries, where the Invoice Date is not equal to the Accounting date and the GL_Date of an invoice is not equal to the accounting date in the distributions table.
So, what is the difference between these dates.
And if I had to take the Invoice Accounting document entry date, which date do i have to take for these invoices in AP
Thanks
Bob

Hi
Let me try to explain this with an example.
Suppose I buy some stationary from a vendor and he provides me with a detailed invoice of the goods puchased.
In this case the invoice will always have a date printed on it and this date should ideally be entered in the invoice date at AP_INVOICES_ALL level.
Now suppose the invoice happens to be received by me in february and for some reason I could not capture the invoice in my books in february and made a provision for the liabilities and close the books.
However in march i want to book the invoice say on 10th of march in my books and pay the vendor the amount payable.(I Have to reverse the already provided liability in march to reverse the accounting effect).
In this case my book entry date of invoice is the accounting date i.e. 10 March.
In case of oracle, the accounting is maintained so that the invoice header hits the liability account while the invoice distribution hits the charge account(expense account so to say). And to gain more flexibility oracle provides date in both header and distributions to provide an option of booking liability and charge on different dates..
As per the 11i checks there is no check on any of these dates except that accounting date at header and ditribution level must be in an open AP and GL period.
Thanks
MAV.

• Release date set to 1/5/11 for all podcasts and iTunes U files

I have an ongoing problem with iTunes on my MacBook Pro where the release date is set to 1/5/11 for all podcasts and iTunes U files. Although I can seemingly correctly sort by release date, the date is the same across all files. Can someone advise as to how I might go about correcting this such that the actual, proper, release date is shown? Thanks in advance for the help! - mvrb

@King_Penguin thanks for your help
See below some additional info:
I have 3 Macs:
1 X MBPr 2012 (OS X 10.9.1
1 X MBPr 2012 (OS X 10.8.5)
1 X iMac 2009 (OS X 10.8.5)
1) All 3 Macs have access to same accounts and have same apps in iTunes.
2) Problem is only found on both MBPr's 2012 with one NL and 1 US account. With one NL account (inactive) I have no issue on all three.
FYI I have multiple iTunes accounts: 2 for the Netherlands and 1 for US.
I also tried this after deleting the only 2 apps I got from the US iTunes Store but that did not solve my issue.
I think the matter is related to my iTunes account(s) and NOT to a computer (prefs file)

Hi,
You can find out from CDHDR & CDPOS table.
Select Date Time from CDHDR table & Join with CDPOS table where CDHDR-OBJECTCLAS = EINKBELEG and CDHDR-OBJECTID = PO number and CDPOS-TABNAME = 'EKKO' and CDPOS-FNAME = FRGZU and CDPOS-VALUE_NEW = 'X'.

• Billing document date and accounting document date varying...

Hello Experts,
There is one billing document and the date of invoice is, say today, 12/01/2009. and the accounting document date is, say 15 days ahead or behind, 27/01/2009.however, the posting date is proper and according to the billing date and that is again dated today-12/01/209. Now, the user wants to know why the difference exists between the accounting document date and the billing date. any idea? there are some user exits being used but I cant make out, neither the abaper. suggestions please.
Regards,
N.Raja Sekhar.

Dear Raja Sekhar
Document date is nothing but the date on which that particular transaction has taken place. But I dont know where you get the date as 27-01-2009.
It is a general practice that for exports billing document, there would be a Posting block and once the exporter receives the B/L, based on that date, the billing document would be released manually. For this, there is an user exit to input the B/L number and date and release the billing document.
So here, what the end users normally does is that the B/L Date might be on 02-01-2009 but he would not have updated on the same date. At a later date, say on 12-01-2009, he can input the B/L Date (in another words, it is Posting date) as 02-01-09 and execute the billing document.
If you see the accounting document here, the posting date would have been 02-01-2009 but the document date would be 12-01-09.
thanks

Hi All,

Note 1026168 - Vendor &1 not intended for purch. org. &2
[ This is caused due to a program error. The reason for this error is, purchasing organization and purchasing group are always assigned at header level and in this case SRM is passing the item guid to determine the backend purchasing organization and purchasing.group. The header guid should be passed instead. ]
Q 3: Why does the system issue message KI 235 - 'Account & requires an assignment to a CO object'?
Answer ->
--> In SRM, you always have to post to a G/L account and to a CO object. Exceptions: Direct material scenario - account assignment occurs in the OLTP regardless of what was previously entered in SRM. For external requirements, the primary system is the OLTP from which the demand is issued and sent to SRM. In this case, account assignment changes are not allowed in SRM because this would lead to inconsistencies (in follow-on documents as well) when compared to the primary system.
--> In /OBA5, you can suppress the message or define it as a warning message. Since only error messages are transferred to SRM (BBP_PD 047), the message then no longer is issued in SRM. Do not consult the FI/CO team when implementing the changes.
