Remote login sun box to winOS box

Hi
I am as a root on sun (Solaris OS) box want to run some command on my remote site windows OS based system trying to connect via LAN to WAN and I have lists of users and his passwords for windows system. Could someone help me about how to connect and run some command without asking username & passwords please. Any ideas or any scripts.
Thanks
Mohammed Tanvir

Update (not working, just more info)...
The post here got me a little further:
http://jamfnation.jamfsoftware.com/discussion.html?id=5560
touch /private/var/db/.AccessibilityAPIEnabled
osascript -e <<EOF 'tell application "System Events"
tell process "SecurityAgent"
set value of text field 1 of window "Login" to "testing"
set value of text field 2 of window "Login" to "testing"
end tell
tell application "system events" to keystroke return
tell application "system events" to keystroke return
end tell'
EOF
The only oddity for 10.8 seems to be that fields 1 and 2 are the inverse of what you'd expect.
touch /private/var/db/.AccessibilityAPIEnabled
osascript -e <<EOF 'tell application "System Events"
tell process "SecurityAgent"
set value of text field 1 of window "Login" to "PASSWORD"
set value of text field 2 of window "Login" to "USERNAME"
end tell
tell application "system events" to keystroke return
tell application "system events" to keystroke return
end tell'
EOF
Have not tested this with 10.7.  Unfortunately, while it fills the fields, it still doesn't work, because the call to "system events" requires that the mouse have been clicked.

  • Can't close Sun-specifc settings dialog box

    Dear All,
    I cannot close the sun-specific settings dialog box when I attempt to create my mappings for my CMP entity beans from the Schema. Close button will not function. Also I can still go through to the Create Mappings window but it doesn't allow me to select my schema to generate the mappings. Whether this means it can't find the Schema file? I have checked and this is present in the JAR file and saved.
    I managed to create some mappings earlier today but have not been able to since. I have restarted the container, desktop, removed the EAR and created a new one. Still the window seems to fail every time. The log for the domain doesn't show anythign peculiar either.
    Appreciate any help
    Thanks in advance

    On the left tree view select the EJB bean and then click on the Entity tab. In the Fields To Be Persisted box do you have any fields checked? For each CMP bean at least one field should be checked to be persisted.

    See the eDirectory documentation, where you'll find auditing described.

  • Remote login to certain ID help ?

    Anyone know how to setup on Sun Solaris 8 boxes to have remote logins to certain IDs locked out ? On the AIX boxes, this is done with a command like login -f....but I don't know if it can be set up on the Suns. Any ideas or workarounds on this would be great.

    The question is how are you trying to connect to the server? and where are you testing from?
    You say you can 'log-in to the Mac-Mini from the internal network', but what protocol are you using?
    The ports you've opened are for web (80), FTP (21) and SSH (22), so if you're using any other protocol (e.g. AFP for file sharing), it won't work.
    So, you need to decide what protocol you want to use and forward the appropriate ports. For example, if you do want to use AFP to transfer files, you'll need to open port 548.
    An alternative is to just use port 22 and use SSH tunneling to tunnel other protocols over a secure connection (normal AFP, web, etc. traffic is not secure and tunneling these protocols over an SSH connection provides an enhanced level of security.

  • Can't download files -even the support center's remote login appl won't download;  web sites like USA Today will not open; etc.

    This all started by certain sites not opening, like USA Today; Intellicast.com.  Installed Maverics yesterday successfully and the web sites very briefly worked and then starting failing again.  Called tech support and couldn't download their remote login code.  From Safari's viewpoint thought there might be a problem with Adobe Flash.  So deleted that and then tried to download the installer code from Adobe and that wouldn't download.  Suggestions would be appreciated.

    Firefox can find plugins in several locations, but Firefox 21 changed the location of the "shared" plugin folder so older installers like the Microsoft Windows Media Plugin no longer drop the DLL file in the correct location.
    There apparently are two ways to address this:
    (1) Change a Firefox preference so that Firefox checks the old location. Here's how:
    (i) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (ii) In the filter box, type or paste '''plugins''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (iii) Double-click '''plugins.load_appdir_plugins''' to switch its value from false to true.
    This will take effect after you restart Firefox.
    (2) Copy the plugins folder to the new location. Here's how on Win 7 64-bit:
    Open a Windows Explorer window to:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
    Right-click and copy the '''Plugins''' folder
    Double-click the '''browser''' folder to open it
    Right-click and paste
    Right-click the new copy of '''Plugins''' and rename it to '''plugins'''
    After restarting Firefox, the plugins in that folder should now be available.

  • Can't Set Remote Login OFF via Send Unix Command systemsetup

    Trying to use the System Setup->Remote Login template in ARD to turn off Remote Login (SSH) in Sharing panel of System Preferences on Mac that is administered through Apple Remote Desktop.
    In Apple Remote Desktop (ARD), I select the client machine, then choose "Send Unix Command..." from the "Manage" menu. In resultant window, I pick "System Setup->Remote Login (SSH) from the "Template" drop down box in the upper right. That populates the upper window with Unix commands. I edit/change the "on" to "off" and tell the dialog to Run command as User: root, then click on "Send" button.
    Progress bar goes forever with no change.
    I can turn off Remote Login via ARD by controlling each client machine via an ARD WINDOW, then navigating to the Sharing Preference pane, but that process is tedious when performing for multiple client Macs.
    Strange, but I CAN use the "Send Unix Command..." outlined above to turn ON Remote Login, and get the status of Remote Login ("systemsetup -getremotelogin"). Just can't turn OFF Remote Login (quickly/efficiently).
    man systemsetup suggests I need to write the command as "setremotelogin -f off" but that failed with an improper command syntax error.
    Thoughts?

    It’s waiting for you to type a confirmation. If you run this command on the command line normally, you’ll see the message:
    Do you really want to turn remote login off? If you do, you will lose this connection and can only turn it back on locally at the server (yes/no)?
    Use this command instead:
    systemsetup -f -setremotelogin off

  • Administrative user can't access other accounts or delete remote login

    I have the administrative user account on my iMac at home. My daughter can't remember the new password I assigned her and needs me to change it. When I log into system preferences/accounts, it shows that I am the administrative user. However, when I try to access her account or the Guest account on the computer they are gray and I can't select them. I can't add any new accounts or delete any existing ones either.
    I also noticed that remote login SSH is turned on. I tried to uncheck that box multiple times but my iMac just freezes. I have to force quit system preferences.
    Any ideas on how I fix this?

    I enabled the root user. While now I can access the elements that were greyed out before, when I attempt to change something my Mac will freeze and just show the color wheel when I attempt to do something with the mouse. If I go up to the menu and pick Force Quit, the list shows System Preferences (the ap has stopped responding). I've shut system preferences with a force quit, rebooted several times and tried again but the same thing happens every time.
    I also can't get it to read a disc so I can't even reboot from my Mac OS system disc to do an archive and reinstall. Does it sound like my system, hardware or both? Is it something that I bundle off my iMac to a Mac Genius to fix?
    If this was a PC, I would swear that I had a virus.

  • Osascript for remote login does not work with Leopard

    We are testing Leopard on one computer in our labs. The only problem so far is that the osascript that we use to remote login to the computers stopped working (although it works fine on the Tiger machines):

  • Can't save remote login information

    Until the last week, I had my remote login information saved
    in site management for the ftp server of my website. Now, I enter
    the information, use it to connect and work on my site. Then I
    close DW. When I restart DW to work on the site again, the remote
    login information is gone and I have to reenter it. I can work
    until I close the program, then it disappears again.
    The save box is checked.
    I recently installed Process Guard, but I haven't changed any
    other security features recently other than updates to Zone Alarm
    Free and AVG Free.
    It's not a fatal flaw, but it's VERY annoying.
    Any help is appreciated

    }

    You have
    String objectName = "box";
    and
    Box objectName = new Box(0.1f, 0.1f, 0.1f, app);
    Meaning you're trying to make a String called objectName, then a Box called objectName - not the value of objectName, but the name itself. Hence the error.
    It's not that Java3D specifically won't let you use a string for a name, it's that the entire Java language won't, because it doesn't work that way.
    You need to 'name' your boxes when you write the program, not at runtime - e.g.
    Box myFirstBox = new Box(0.1f, 0.1f, 0.1f, new Appearance());
    Box mySecondBox = new Box(0.1f, 0.1f, 0.1f, new Appearance());
    Box myThirdBox = new Box(0.1f, 0.1f, 0.1f, new Appearance());Or, if you want, say, 100 boxes:
    Box[] myLotsOfBoxes;
    for(int n=0; n<100; n++)
        myLotsOfBoxes[n]= new Box(0.1f, 0.1f, 0.1f, new Appearance());
        }You cannot name variables when the program is running for a whole lot of pretty fundamental reasons. If you need to change the 'name' when the program is running, you need to add a getName and setName method to your own extension of Box, that add a name property. This isn't the variable name itself, but it lets you assign names to your boxes as the program runs.
    e.g.
    import com.sun.j3d.utils.geometry.*;
    import javax.media.j3d.*;
    public class namedBox extends Box
       private String name;
       public namedBox(float x, float y, float z, Appearance a, String boxName)
       super(x,y,z,a);
       setName(boxName);
       public void setName(String newName)
       name = newName;
       public String getName()
       return name;
    }

  • Open a UNIX terminal (with a remote login session) on JButton click

    All,
    -- The domain of this problem blurs the line which decides if this question has to be posed on a Java swing audience or a UNIX forum. To understand this problem apart from being a Java swing person, you would also need to have a basic understanding of UNIX concepts such as gnome-terminal, xterm and rsh --
    I am creating a network monitoring GUI which has a JTable having many entries that pertains to various system information about nodes in a network. I have overridden the default cellEditor in the table with a custom TableCellEditor (camickr's archive) and have a column containing JButtons labelled with hostnames.
    Now, when a user clicks on any of these buttons, I would like to open up a terminal (xterm or /usr/bin/gnome-terminal) followed by executing some commands on this NEW terminal shell. In other words, I would like to automate this process as if the user opens a terminal and then keys in commands to rsh into the remote host by specifying the hostname (which is the label on the JButton) and finally provide the user with this state, from where on she takes control on that remote login session.
    I tried searching through various previous posts. I did find a related one:
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5180094&messageID=9699614#9699614
    But I still have difficulty in getting my problem solved.
    The following statements are executed when one such button (labelled by a hostname) is clicked:
    public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
             String hostname = e.getActionCommand();
                fireEditingStopped();
                System.out.println( "probing:  " + hostname); //This appears correctly on the console
                Process p;
                   try {
                        p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("/usr/bin/gnome-terminal");
                        BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(p.getInputStream()));
                        BufferedWriter out = new BufferedWriter(new OutputStreamWriter(p.getOutputStream()));
                                    out.write("rsh -l root "+hostname); //attempting to remote login in the NEW shell (terminal)..... I guess :|
                   } catch (IOException e1) {
                        // TODO Auto-generated catch block
                        e1.printStackTrace();
    .I guess I am not having control on the new terminal. Is there any way I could control the newly spawned shell?
    Appreciate,
    Rajiv

    Alright...
    assuming gnome-terminal is in /usr/bin path,
    /usr/bin/gnome-terminal -e "<command>"
    would solve this problem

    How can i login to a remote SAP NetWeaver 6.40 SR1 j2ee server?
    I try this:

    Hi Roberto,
    AFAIK, to do a remote login you need to use the RemoteLoginContext instead of the pure JAAS LoginContext. For more details you can have a look at this page in the documentation: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ac/ce417acc9a4d48aa52fa562cb9b194/frameset.htm

  • How to move CRM_UI_FRAME component from one box to another box

    Hi All,
    Need help about this task.
    Background:
    - CRM Dev Box
    - CRM QC Box
    - CRM Prod Box
    Problem:
    - CRM_UI_FRAME component on the QC Box is not working properly. When we are going to the BSP Workbench, an error comes out that there is an unclosed tag; '>' or '/>' expected entity: "<<document>>" Offset : 0000003376 Error Severity: error.
    - BSPWD_BASICS/WorkAreaHostViewSet is not loaded
    - This problem never occurs on both Dev and Prod Box
    Our Solution:
    - To copy the whole CRM_UI_FRAME component from Dev to QC
    Our Question
    - Is the solution possible?
    - If it is, how could we transfer/copy the whole CRM_UI_FRAME or any component from one box to another box
    - Could we just attach this to a transport? Or is this a BASIS task?
    - Other suggestions on how to do this?
    Thanks in advance!
