RemoteObject throwing "Send failed" error
I'm trying to read some data through a java class using Tomcat and blazeds. I'll post some of my config and code here.
Here's the destination block of my remoting-config.xml
<destination id="olapQuery">
<properties>
<source>com.zencos.OLAP.OLAPQuery</source>
<scope>application</scope>
</properties>
</destination>
Here is where I setup the RemoteObject in my mxml
<mx:RemoteObject id="olapQuery" destination="olapQuery">
<mx:method name="query" result="olapQueryHandler(event)"/>
</mx:RemoteObject>
Here's my olapQueryHandler method
private function olapQueryHandler(event:ResultEvent):void {
var olapData:ArrayCollection = event.result as ArrayCollection;
I call the remote object in a method called initApp that is called by the preinitialize event, like this
<mx:Application
xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml"
xmlns:ilog="http://www.ilog.com/2007/ilog/flex"
layout="absolute"
preinitialize="initApp()"
creationComplete="complete()">
Here is the method
private function initApp():void {
olapQuery.query(["TimeYQM"],["ServiceOrder"],["Trouble_Ticket_countSUM"]);
And here is the error I'm seeing when the application starts:
[RPC Fault faultString="Send failed" faultCode="Client.Error.MessageSend" faultDetail="Channel.Connect.Failed error NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Status 404: url: 'http://localhost:8080/Dashboard/messagebroker/amf'"]

Where am I going wrong here? I'm sure I've missed a step but I can't see where in any of the documentation. I can supply any other information needed to figure this out.
Thanks for the help
A followup to my post.
When I try to go to http://localhost:8080/Dashboard/messagebroker/amf
I'm getting a 404 error.
I hope someone can help with this. I'm seeing similar errors all over the forums but no helpful resolutions.

Hi,
We have an application built using HTMl 5 and Javascript running on IPad2, iOS5.1 Safari 5.1.
When a file url is clicked instead of asking for Save or Open or Cancel options, the file gets opened on IPad by default.
Is this default behaviour which cannot be changed or can it be configured to ask user preference?
When we try to download a file(.pvw file -> a model file) in the above application, safari throws "Download failed" error.
Please suggest what needs to be done.
Regards,
PramodSafari on an iPad in general does not allow downloading of files. That's a safety precaution in the iOS SDK to keep unauthorized content off of iOS devices. Safari will open from the web site file types that it can handle, but direct downloading isn't normal behavior, and I don't believe the behavior can be changed, though you can try asking in the developer forum, either here or the one to which you have access as a member of Apple's iOS developer program.

Java Mail throws Connect failed error in Oracle 11g Enterprise Edition
Hi,
I am using Oracle 11g Enterprise edition.I have a java class which is used for reading outlook 2010 inbox and download attachments from mails .For Connecting to OutLook from oracle i am using "POP3S" protocol in my java class. Which is working fine until my database is oracle-11g standard edition. Last week we are upgraded our database from oracle 11g standard edition to oracle 11g enterprise edition after that i can't connect to mail server through my java class which throws an error as follows.

Is Oracle Enterprise Edition supports "POP3S" protocol?, Or Enterprise edition needs any additional configuration for establishing outlook connection with "pop3s" ?.
Any help is appreciated

I suspect root cause is with Java not Oracle.
Oracle RDBMS does NOT speak any "protocol" except SQL natively. -
SMS Message Send Fail Error: MAJOR ISSUE
I use texting more than any other feature on the smartphone(yes, I'm a teenager). That aside, it started acting odd one night and I decided to take the battery out to do a reset, but that failed. After a few hours of mindless failed troubleshooting, it finally started rubbing smoothly except for one huge thing: it never, ever sends messages. I can RECIEVE them, as well as have full calling functionalities, but it won't for the life of me send a single text message, both SMS and MMS. It gives me the following error name each time, and never even goes into a pending state, it always just defaults to it: UNASSIGNED NUMBER. I've tried leaving it off and without the battery inside for a good thre days and nothing. I also tried sending myself messages and resending them over and over, but to no gain at all. Nobody knows what to do, I can't find anything about it in the phone, and I can't even find anything on the site. My parents(whom owned said Blackberry before me) had no idea whatsoever what to do. Sadly, due to my area, I can't take it to any T-Mobile stores. The nearest one is a good hour away. The thing is, I can't send messages to ANYONE. So it's not like this just affects sending to one or two people. it's my whole phonebook. But if I'm getting the message, that means there's a legitimate error that the phone's been programmed to inform me of in case of it's comeupance, which ALSO inevitabley means that there's got to bea solution to it, whether or not that solution involves fixing some opions or just replacing the damned thing. I've never had a single problem with the phone either until this reared it's ugly head. If anyone knows at all what I should or can do, or even if you have an inkling of some way to make a fix, please tell me. Thank you all in advance!
MorganHello:
I wanted to let you know that I had a Blackberry Bold 9900 and I tried to work on this problem, with a representative by phone and also at a T-Mobile store, and none of them could get to solve the problem. So they decide to schedule a replacement for my phone. I received a new Blackberry Bold 9900 and guess what? The problem persisted.
I am publishing this as a response to "habap" because I decided to check on my own and tried changing the "Packet Switched Preferred" selected on my phone to "Circuit Switch Preferred" and BOOM!, it did the trick. I tested resending my message and it went through, so this not only works on the Pearl but at least also on the Bold 9900, and it seems related to OS versions 6 and up.
Thank you very much for posting your solution! -
I get "sending failed" error when sending emails on my S5.
I can receive emails but cannot send.
Hi jwatkowski!
Let's see what's causing the problem! When did the issue begin? Which email account are you having trouble with? What is your current zip code? What happens when you try to send an email?
Thanks,

How to log "send failed" to a file instead of showing a pop-up message
Hi, I am working with Flex 4.1 on Linux but I suppose this problem must be common to all versions of Flex.
I am working on a Flex client front-end which connects to a Java back-end (in Tomcat) via BlazeDS. All of this works OK 99.9% of the time. However, from time to time (let's say, if the client browser has been open for several hours), the user gets a pop-up message saying "Send failed". It seems to be a harmless transient error -- if the user closes the pop-up, the front-end carries on as usual and seems to continue to work as expected.
Is there a way to have the "send failed" message written to a log file instead of opening a pop-up message?
As a separate problem, if anyone has seen occasional, transient "send failed" errors, I would be interested to hear about that. If you have some solution to make them go away, that would be terrific.
Thanks for your time, I appreciate your help.

I'm new to consuming web services in JDeveloper. I'm using Oracle JDEV 10.1.3.3/OC4J. I'm using this version since it is compatible with Oracle EBS 12.1.3. My intent is to pull data from our third party recruitment app (Success Factors) and load that data into Oracle HRIS. I'm already doing this through a .NET application. I'm converting it to be a Java Concurrent Program in EBS. The code listed below is a stub call to verify I'm on the right track. I created a JDeveloper Web Services proxy project. I'm testing it locally on my windows desktop. When I'm able to consume the service successfully, then I'll think about moving it to the EBS server.
I'm getting the following error when I invoke the following service:
HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: String index out of range: -7
End point is: https://api4.successfactors.com/sfapi/v1/soap?wsdl

That might be because you are sending incorrect data and the other end fails to validate it.
You might be able to guess based on your C# code. But, since you are using soap one generic solution is available to you.
- Get an http proxy interceptor like wireshark.
- Run it while your C# app runs, collect the http requests from that.
- Run it while running your java code, collect the http requests from that.
Compare the two. -

what does these mean?? Does this have any effect on replication?? thank you ...These messages indicate a loss of connectivity between the replication agents. This could be due to one some kind of failure (e.g. network issue). If the messages are infrequent and replication is otherwise working okay they are not a big cause for concern though if I were you I would check the network etc. for anything abnormal.

URGENT: SAP throws the "Deserialization failed" error.
Hi All,
I am using ABAP generated WebService in .NET 1.1.
Steps i took:
1. Generate Web Service of a BAPI in ABAP and Test it there.
2. Take its URL and Added Web Reference in my PortalApplication in .NET 1.1
3. Deployed it successfully, but when i try to run the project i.e "Portal Application" it gives "Deserielization failed" Error.
its urgent Please Help!
Help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance
sachinDear Vinay,
Does your other FM are also using arrays.?
Deserialization problem comes when xml parser is not able to convert XML schema or values to language specific elements.
And this problem normally comes if you are using complex data types.
Can you check once again and reply.

"sending message failed" error message on model 1...
Nokia model 1209
Original problem: “message sending failed”
After contacting my Service Provider (Virgin Mobile), I was told to check, and if necessary correct my Message Sender Number. I needed to find and check this in my Nokia 1209.
V.M. gave me the number that I should have.
Check the rest:
From the Nokia Careline:
“To locate the Message Center Number, kindly follow these steps:
1. Go to Menu
2. Select Messages
3. Select Message Settings
4. Select Sending Profile the following # 5 (SMS Center) I could not find
5. Select SMS Center
6. Select Message Center Number
We would love to hear the positive outcome.”
After a deep think here is how I got to the MCN:
1. Go to Menu
2. Select Messages
3. Select Message Settings
4. Select Sending Profile --- found a series of items, incl. Profiles 1 thru to 4, I selected Profile 1:
5. Select Profile 1 > this gave me: "Message Centre Number" > Select > appeared my MCN !!!!
I noted that the MCN had somehow lost its last digit, which I then typed in, and: All fixed.
I could now again, as before, send messages.
Any explanatory comments would be appreciated. bluegrassbanjo

Error message: sending failed because you exceeded your sending limit
I can't send any more e-mails from my iphone 4S anymore. The message I get reads: A copy has been placed in your outbox. Sending failed because you exceeded your sending limit. My contract offers unlimited data so that can't be the problem. The problem occurred after I tried to send a photo with an address change notification to about 50 addressees from my addressbook. I have deleted that mail from my outbox but can still not send any mails.
Thanks for your helpHey Hall-K,
Since you have deleted the message and are still experiencing issues sending email, I would check out the following article and follow the troubleshooting steps within (which I pasted below):
iOS: Unable to send or receive email
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3899
If you are unable to send or receive email, try the following steps:
Restart the iOS device.
Tap Safari and attempt to load a webpage to ensure that the device has Internet access. If you're unable to load a webpage, try the Wi-Fi assistant.
Try an alternative Internet connection.
If your email is provided by your Internet provider, try connecting from the home network.
If your iOS device has an active cellular data plan, try to disable Wi-Fi: Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn off Wi-Fi.
If not, try a different Wi-Fi network.
Log in to your email provider's website to ensure that the account is active and the password is correct.
Delete the account from Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then add the email account again on the iOS device.
Hope that helps,

Sending job error message to admin by email
Hi everyone...
Anyone knows how to send job error message to admin by email? For example, if crawler failed, an email is sent to admin with the error message. I'm thinking of building windows service which run at the background and knows when a job fail and send the error message through email to admin.
Is there a better way?
Cheers,
Jefi Santosohi,
>>>Can this be achieved through BPM?
yes you can put your transformation step
and send step in a block and specify an exception
branch and catch all exceptions that will
occur during transformations and the send step
then you can send info from the exception branch to
any other system
you won't be able to catch the error's name
but you will be able to notify any thinrd party
about the error

Update Content and Creation of New Packages Fails, Errors in PKGXFERMGR.log
I am having a problem distributing packages to Distribution Points. This has worked for over a year previously. I believe there may be a problem with IIS configuration somewhere but I cannot find what the delta may be.
When I look at the pkgxfermgr.log I see several things.
First, I see the jobs that I have started are stuck in a pending state. Example below:
