RemoteRealm

Question

I have a WebLogic Server acting as a servlet engine (call it Server A). I
have another WebLogic Server acting as an EJB server (call it Server B).
Server B has access to the database, but server A does not.
Now, I want to implement a security realm that accesses the database from
Server A. I've tried to implement an RMI based RemoteRealm, which forwards
all realm calls from server A to server B, on which sits a modified
RDBMSRealm.
This fails due to the order of initialization in WLS: when the security
system is initialized, RMI is not yet available. Calling new
InitialContext() throws an exception.
Is there a way to change the order of initialization, or to implement
RemoteRealm in some other way?
