RemoteUpdateManager for Adobe Creative Cloud on Mac OSX
I am trying to get RemoteUpdateManager working on a Macintosh OSX machine with Adobe Creative cloud, so we can remotely update Adobe CC for a user, as his account does not allow him to run updates.
When I run RemotUpdateManager from terminal (or by double clicking on it), it gives me a popup screen saying:

The update did not take place, and no remote Update Manager log file at ~/Library/Logs/.
Any suggestions why this is happening, and how I can run get RemoteUpdateManager working to get Adobe CC updated ?
Have you tried to run as ROOT (user)?
sudo RemoteupdateManager

I've searched through various discussions and followed every suggestion I had come across, including:
Uninstalled/reinstalled Creative Cloud
Renamed files in the following directories:
~/Library/Applications support/Adobe/OOBE
/Library/Applications support/Adobe/OOBE
~/Library/Applications support/Adobe/AAMUpdater
/Library/Applications support/Adobe/AAMUpdater
Deleted files in above-listed directories.
Checked all network settings including proxy, DNS, etc.
Logged in as myself, I launched Creative Cloud as root (sudo /path/to/app)
Between each step I uninstalled/reinstalled the Creative Cloud app. The logs (in ~/Library/Logs/) don't show any major issues, other than claiming that a preference file can't be read. I tried deleting all preferences related to ACC and the log continued to show the same message.
Any suggestions outside of the standard list of fixes would be most welcome, at this point I'm ready to cancel my CC subscription, I feel Adobe made a big mistake by changing to this format. When it works, it's great, but when it doesn't it causes loss of productivity and immense frustration.Tried this with no success. Although, your mention of permissions led me to launching Disk Utility and repairing permissions. I then noticed my hard drive had a failing S.M.A.R.T. status. I swapped out the hard drive and restored from Time Machine backup, repaired permissions, uninstalled Creative Cloud, repaired permissions again and removed all files mentioned in my original post. I then reinstalled and: still get the same dang error! This is ridiculously frustrating.

Hi - I am looking for the Adobe Illustrator 2014 1.2 (or .0.2) bugfix update for Mac - and it is not visible in the Adobe Creative Cloud Packager (Mac version). The only update visible is Illustrator CC 2014.1 - which is what introduced the bugs.
The only thing that I can think of that might be causing the issues that I have a Mac Mini on Mavericks.

He had recently upgraded from wht we now know is 18.0 to 18.1 which is the latest version. He read the above artic
le and supposed that it was a bug fix release for his version - because the v17 ov18 number is not often displayed. It is usually just 2014 CC.
I have asked him to post a bug report about Adobe Illustrator CC 2014.1

I just bought 3 memberships for adobe creative cloud with the same ID, how can I install each membership in 3 different computers.
Welcome to Adobe Forum,
You have CC for individual purchased which can be activated on two machines by the same Adobe ID.
How ever if you want to use it on more than two machine, you can cancel this order & buy the creative cloud for Team, in which you can buy the number of seats & assign them to as many user you would like to.
Each user can activate it two times with 100GB of space as compared to 20 GB space for CC for individual.

Hi I just bought 3 anual pre paid memberships for adobe creative cloud, with the same Adobe ID, I want to install each membership in one different computer, how I do it?
One Adobe ID can be used to activate any CC subscription twice. So you need to have three different Adobe ID for each of the pre paid subscription so that they can be used.
If you keep the same ID for three CC, it will not activate the third time & ask you to de activate it from the previous one.
You can return two of the subscription & buy them under different ID.

Oh!! just stop using it and after 30 days, it will expire. No need to to take any action. It is free so anyway so why bother?
They cannot start charging you because they don't have your credit card details. They need to have your express permission to take out a full contract of 12 months. -
Submitting academic proof for Adobe Creative Cloud Student and Teacher Edition
I was contacted to validate my academic status for a Creative Cloud Student and Teacher Edition I purchased via adobe.com on May 14, 2014. The Education FAQ page (http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing /education-faq.html) states:
"Submit your proof of eligibility when you place your order. If you have a pending order, go to My Orders in your Adobe account, and click Submit Proof."
However, when I go to My Orders page, there is no link saying "Submit Proof". I do have my proof readily available, but I am not sure how else I can submit it.
I was told my subscription would be canceled in if I could not prove my academic status within 14 days (it was sent on July 2nd), and am still awaiting a response from Adobe Customer Support. So any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you! This page helped.
