Remove blanks from report

Hi Experts,
When I execute my report created in Query Designer, it shows '#' for all the blank or null values.
Is there any setting in the query properties that we can change this ?

Hi,
You can define the settings on how the data should be displayed for Mixed result or Null values or Division by Zero values
SPRO -> SAP reference IMG -> SAP Netweaver -> Business Intelligence -> Settings for Reporting and analysis -> General settings for reporting and analysis ->Presenting numeric values in Business explorer

Remove hashmarks from report

Is it possible to remove hashmarks from reports? Users want to have empty space in empty cell, but not the "#" sign.
I did not find any settings etc. to remove hashmarks, I even tried to replace initial value by space in update rules, but Analyzer is clever enough to recognize spaces and replace them by the "#" too. This is really terrible.
VB script does not fit in that case as users use Web Analyzer reports.
Does any solution exist on that problem?

Setting in TCode RSCUSTV4 would take out the # across all reports in BI, if thats what you want.

How to remove dimension from report

Dear All,
I have created a report using Drag and Drop option as explained in the following link with 2 dimensions in rows and 1 dimension in column. Now I would like to remove one of the dimension from existing report. As explained in the below link I could not able to see the option called Remove Dim from design mode as well as preview mode.

SAP Help: To remove a dimension, right-click on the dimension name block and select Remove Dim. You can remove dimensions only when more that one exists on either your columns or rows.
Please, can anybody shed some light on this issue.

I have tried this drag and drop option. But the problem with this option is existing format is getting disturbed and some junk values appearing in place of removed dimension.

Removing commas from report result

Hello gurus,
Is there a way to remove commas from data values in the BEx reports?
I used NODIM() to remove $ signs and units. We need to remove the commas as well.

hi,
in query properities you should have option to show unit on the top of column only and in key figure properities should be option to choose how many decimal spaces you want to be visible on report (this option you have in rsa1 -> infoobjects -> your key figure -> BEx reporting tab)

Removing (blank) from Pivot Tables Populated from Data Connection

It took me a long while to fix this one (and a long time to search, because it's a funny one to try to use boolean logic for) and I thought I would share because I've seen a score of folks out there looking for this.
If you have a pivot table with blank values in the row/column area instead of values, Excel automatically populates the cell with (blank). The word blank shows up in any cell that doesn't have a value, but what if you don't want all those ugly (blank)
values showing up in your report?
If you're pulling the data from an outside source, like a SQL server (in my case from the Project Server Reporting database) then you can't just change the source data, so you seem pretty stuck.
My coworker and I came up with the following fix:
Select the entire sheet. Use conditional formatting to find all cells that contain the text (blank). Then for the format, go to "Number" and "Custom". In the custom field, enter ;;;. Apply the conditional formatting and those pesky
(blank) values turn into real blanks. This even works when copying pasting the data into another sheet or application. And if the value changes the next time you refresh your data, the new data appears.
I found this very valuable in my reporting and just wanted to put it out there for the rest of the community.

Remove symbols from Report Painter Report

Hi all,
We have a report painter report. The amounts in the report are displayed with a " * " symbol, probably due to the amounts being added.
We would like to remove the " * " symbols from the columns. How is this possible.

I guess the column size is too small to display the whole amount. Enlarge the columns in the layout options in report painter.

Remove fields from report painter

Hi,
I try to create a z transaction code for my report which was built using the report painter tool. I got additional fields like read mode, print report and rebuild frozen report data on the selection screen. How can I remove these fields to make the selection screen identical to the one when executing in report painter tool? Please help!

Hi,
You can change the transaction type:
Goto SE93 --> Click Change --> In menu bar click on Edit --> Change Transaction type --> Select program and selection screen (Report Transaction) radio button and Save.
Also make sure that you have selected all the GUI support check box.
Activate the transaction and execute.

You Edit Dashboard and update the Properties for the report in the section it resides. You will select Report Links.

How to remove # value from report

Hi All,
There is report in PM module, when we execute the report Iam getting # value, where ever values are 00:00:00 for the infoobject Malfunction Start Time and End Time,When I checked the data at cube level I can see 00:00:00 but not in report.So how do I get 00:00:00 in report.Please help.

1. if you will no zeros in reports you can suppress them. additional you will not see any lines with zero in report
2. you do not need the display in the value list you can type in # directly in direct input box

Remove Blank Values from Slicer in Power View

Hi all,
I am trying to create a power view report from a power pivot data model. After creating the model when I try to use the slicer in power view I am seeing the Blank record. Then I checked that dimension in model where I don't have any blank value in there.
Also I checked in fact table where it has a relationship with that dimension and I don't see any blank value there as well.
I am currently blocked with this issue. Experts please jump in and give some ideas how to remove blank value from there.

As MM-99 already stated correctly, the BLANK-member is created if there is one or more non-matching row in your fact-table that does not exist in the dimension-table
maybe you have some issues with upper and lower case?
or maybe there are some whitespace characters contained in the text?
to identify the issues you may want to create a calcuated column in your fact-table as =RELATED('DimTable'[MyKeyColumn])
then you can filter on that column and see if any blank values appear

zThere's a lot of examples on how to end up with xzy, but I need to maintain the carriage returns, just strip out blank lines.
I've been trying with posix [:cntrl:] but it doesn't seem to want to work. Question: how to get the desired output?

The simplest thing might be to use LTRIM. (or TRIM, if you need to remove them from the end of the string, as well).
If you want a regular expression:
SELECT     REGEXP_REPLACE ( tester

;This might be easier to understand if you let x stand for CHR (10):
SELECT     REGEXP_REPLACE ( tester

How to remove Built-in-Fields from Report builder report

I have create SSRS report which is sending email to recipient but at the bottom of report email I am also getting

You have to change the report subscription, and untick the checkbox that says to also send it as a link.

Remove KF value '*' from report

If your report is based on multirpovider then the # sign appears in the report as you are trying to combine data from data targets with different structures.
