Hello,
has anyone been able to remove the Personalize and Filter On buttons found in the new Employee Search / Teamviewer? How would I go about doing this. I haven't found it anywhere in the code and I haven't found a config option for it. Perhaps I've stepped right over it tho.
Any thoughts?

To remove the personlize button I was able to create a custom column group through SPRO and add the two columns I wanted to see to in that group. I set them both to visible with no other options checked. This in turn removed the personalize button as the only two fields that could be displayed were forced on ... no other options.
The removal of the "Filter On" button is no longer a requirement.

I had developed a new Web Dynpro for ABAP (WD4A) component for updating a custom Infotype. This application is meant for the manager to maintain some specific data through portal for his employees in the team.
WD4A application is built based on the employee number it receives from the portal.
     How could I get PERNR from employee search(teamviewer) iView in to my WD4A component?
In portal I had developed a test page by copying the standard page from MSS com.sap.pct.erp.mss.general_information, and added my WD4A application through an iView into this page.
Then I hided all the other iVews in the page except (1) employee search and (2)my WD4A iVew. On the preview everything appears fine.
During the preview of this page it triggers the WDDOINIT of WD4A component main view and then the WDDOMODIFYVIEW. When I select an employee from the employee search, then it triggers only WDDOMODIFYVIEW in the WD4A application and not the WDDOINIT anymore.
In my WDDOMODIFYVIEW I had inserted the following code:

This is not functioning form me. The action is not getting trigged with the code in WDDOMODIFYVIEW.
I had gone through several threads in u2018SDN say:

Most of the threads are answered but incomplete. In some threads people shared document personally which had been helpful.
I am stuck with this scenario of handling the employee number from employee search iView. Helpful suggestions will be rewarded for sure.

Do i understand you correctly that you are not getting the portal event ?
This can be several reasons ?
Both portal system and WDA server has to be in same domain and same proptocol to communicate with Portal event.
Please check in that direction and search posts on this topic.

Why can't I add an exception in the security of websites dialogue box? There is only a remove, remove all, and a close button.

You need to enter the log in information on the pages themselves, and Firefox will ask you whether you want to save that information or not. If you do save that information, then you will see those sites in that dialog box.

Employee Search in MSS Approve Time Sheet Data

Employee Search in MSS Approve Time Sheet Data (Net Weaver Portal 2004s)
In MSS we need upper level managers to be able to approve time for employees who reside in lower level org units and are not the managers direct reports. This is usually the case when the chief the employees do report to directly is absent.
In the MSS Team view the links General Information, Compensation Information and Personnel Development have an Employee Search iView with a dropdown containing options for Direct Reports, Employees from Organizational Structure, Employees from Organizational Units and Employee Search. We have been told that in previous versions of MSS that functionality existed in the Approve Time Sheet Data iView as well which would appear to solve our problem.
Is this functionality available in Approve Time Sheet Data and if so how is it configured? Or is there another way (other than manipulating the org structure) for managers to view non-direct reports and approve their time?

How to remove the delete and edit toolbar buttons from the Overview page

Hi,
In the account/contact overview page, we see that the interaction history assignment block does not support the EDIT and DELETE options.
However, when we click on the hyperlink description of an activity in the interaction history, we get into the overview page of the activity. Here we can see the DELETE button and the EDIT button.
Is there a way to remove these two options from the overview page of an activity which is in COMPLETED status and in the interaction history section?
Please advice.

Good morning Old Toad.
I did as you suggested:
1) Booted from install CD.
2) Ran Disk Utilities on internal hard drive--no repairs necessary. For good measure, did the same thing on external drive. Also no repairs necessary.
3) Checked software update--no updates found. About this Mac said I was already running 10.4.7. For good measure, I downloaded the latest and installed it. Since it let me run the install, I'm not sure if I installed something new or reinstalled what I already had.
4) I rebooted from CD, ran disk utilities, ran repair disk--no repairs necessary. Repaired permissions and a lot of permissions repaired.
5) Tried to delete the files and the same old thing happened: kernel panic. The specific message:
panic(cpu 0 caller 0x00102A08): jnl: transaction too big (1587712 >= 1572352 bytes, bufsize 8192, tr 0x29f1fb0 bp 0x2801de40)
So there's no change in my status.
I'm trying to delete the files because:
A) They already take .5 Gb.
B) I can't get rid of them ever. If I move the problem files to a different folder, I can only do one successful drag-and-drop backup to the external drive until the "new" thumb segments become unerasable just like the previous versions and crash the system.
C) I can't even "just" drag and drop every file/folder except the thumbs, because that ends up crashing the system as well. So I have to drag and drop every file/folder in the iPhoto hierarchy individually. Which makes me less inclined to backup, which defeats the purpose of a backup.
D) After the iPhoto fiasco I'm just crabby about all the Apple screw-ups I'm experiencing and I want to get them fixed.

when I insert a query in a workbook the chart and filter button are missing. We are using netweaver 2004s. is there a way to have them display?

There are 2 ways to create workbooks:
1) create a workbook in Excel (create new workbook in Excel thus not via the GUI), insert a query using the Bex analyzer and save using the Bex analyzer.
2) create a query using Bex analyzer, execute the query, save as workbook using Bex analyzer
Option 2) will have the chart and filter buttons.
Option 1) will not have these options.
Assuming you created the workbook using option 1), please recreate the workbook using option 2).
You should now have the chart and filter options.

Try pressing "H" for show/hide pins. Will turn it on or off.

If I understand you correctly, go to the skin editor (Project, Skin Editor in Captivate 4), select the Playback Control tab, uncheck the Progressbar check box. Leave checked the buttons for play/pause, rewind, forward, back, etc.

KDEmod: Remove Suspend and Hibernate buttons

How can I remove Suspend and Hibernate buttons from the Close Session dialog? I don't use them, so I want to have just the Turn Off Button, Log out button and the Restart button.
Also, is there a way to make them portuguese? My kdemod is in portuguese, but the close session dialog is not.

It's been a while since I ran kde, but have you checked in
control center's login manager settings? I think there's
a font and language setting in there somewhere. If the font and language
in login manager = the language you have set in Country/regional settings,
then maybe what I do might help.
I sometimes switch between Chinese and English.
After editing /etc/locale.gen and running locale-gen
to generate all the locales, (of course you already knew that! )
I use .bashrc for my locale settings.
Anyway, if you don't set, or comment out LC_ALL="yourlanguage"
so it doesn't override any other LC settings,
then set export LANG="yourlanguage"
and then set the export LC_CTYPE="yoursecondlanguage"
It makes it a lot easier switching between two languages,
or using one or the other within a script for launching the application
you want to run in what ever language.

Removing 1x and 2x buttons at bottom of screen

Yesterday I accidentally touched something on my iPad mini, and now all of a sudden I have 1x and 2x zoom buttons at the bottom of the screen. Also, I now have a border around some of my games. For example, Pocket Frogs now has a grey border, which wasn't there before the 1x and 2x zoom buttons appeared. How can I get rid of these buttons and the border?

Those are iPhone apps that you downloaded to your iPad. They will work on the iPad, but the resolution isn't as high if you tap on the 2X which doubles the native size and resolution of the app. If you tap on the 1X, that returns the app to it's native iPhone size.
You cannot remove the 1X and the 2X since they serve a function that I described above.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

Use the uninstaller provided with the Sophos software. You can uninstall CUDA via the preference pane. Be sure you remove the com.nvidia.CUDA extension which is located in the /System/Library/Extensions/ folder. Not sure if Fan Control has an uninstaller so you will have to do it manually:
Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash. Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder. You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder. You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder. Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item. Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder. Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences. Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab. Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS. Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term. Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default. You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, EasyFind, instead.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder. Usually with the same name as the program or the developer. The item generally has a ".pkg" extension. Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.

Be sure to remove your two Login Items. Finally do this:
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks without erasing drive
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.

Totals, Subtotals and ABC Analysis buttons missing from ALV.

I have used FM REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY in my report without specifying a PF-STATUS that means STANDARD PF-STATUS is used in ALV, and moved from Quality to Production, till yesterday all the features such as Sort, Filter, Local file along with Totals, Subtotals and ABC Analysis were visible, today all buttons are visible but TOTALS, SUBTOTALS and ABC ANALYSIS buttons are missing.
I have not done any changes to the Code nor the layout.

I have checked the Layout.
In Layout in Quality there are checkboxes in Summation/Totals column in front of Numeric fields,
but these checkboxes are not visible in Layout of Production system.

DOUBLE_CLICK and MOUSE_DOWN on Button

I am trying to utilize DOUBLE_CLICK and MOUSE_DOWN for Button control. But they both are not working together.
Whenever I activate MOUSE_DOWN event it simply disables DOUBLE_CLICK

But in this case only MOUSE_DOWN event gets detected. Is it the expected behaviour of Event Handler or I can handle both events?
Output Expected: Both events should be handled.

If you are calling a doDrag method immediately on mouse down, then focus will be removed from the button and pushed onto the dragproxy. On mouse down, you need to defer the drag method until the user actually moves the mouse while the mouse button is down. You might add an event listener for MouseMove and MouseUp, on the MouseDown event, and remove those listeners on MouseUp or MouseMove. Once you hit the handler for the MouseMove event, you know the user is dragging, and not doubling clicking.
A word of advice would be to add in additional logic to look for pixel offsets prior to deciding that your user is not double clicking, but instead attempting to drag. In this case, on mouse down you would trap the original MouseX and MouseY and store those values locally. Then you wait until your user has moved the mouse while the button is down at least 3-5 pixels in any direction before starting the drag. The reason is that if you only look for mouseMove, the user might have accidentally moved the mouse 1 pixel in the middle of a click (e.g. when the mouse button was actually down) and thus did not really mean to drag.
