Remove record in database from Jtable?

I want to delete row in databse, but don't know how to add field to primary key Jtable like hidden field,
Can you show me or any difference way to solve this?

There are two ways to hide a column (that I know of):
1) Set the columns widths to 0. I don't like this approach because because the 'hidden' column still requires a tab.
2) Remove the TableColumn from the TableColumnModel. This is my preferred approach.
Here is a simple example using both approaches, You determine which approach you like best:
import java.awt.*;
import javax.swing.*;
import javax.swing.table.*;
public class TableColumnHide extends JFrame
     public TableColumnHide()
          String[] columnNames = {"Identifier", "Student#", "Student Name", "Gender", "Grade", "Average"};
          Object[][] data =
               {new Integer(1), "Bob",   "M", "A", new Double(85.5) },
               {new Integer(2), "Carol", "F", "B", new Double(77.7) },
               {new Integer(3), "Ted",   "M", "C", new Double(66.6) },
               {new Integer(4), "Alice", "F", "D", new Double(55.5) }
          DefaultTableModel model = new DefaultTableModel(data, columnNames);
          //  Hide column by setting minimum width
          JTable table1 = new JTable(model);
          table1.getColumnModel().getColumn(0).setMinWidth(0);
          table1.getColumnModel().getColumn(0).setPreferredWidth(0);
          table1.setPreferredScrollableViewportSize(table1.getPreferredSize());
          JScrollPane scrollPane1= new JScrollPane( table1 );
          getContentPane().add( scrollPane1, BorderLayout.WEST );
          //  Remove columns from TableColumnModel
          JTable table2 = new JTable(model);
          TableColumnModel columnModel2 = table2.getColumnModel();
          columnModel2.removeColumn( columnModel2.getColumn( 0 ) );
          table2.setPreferredScrollableViewportSize(table2.getPreferredSize());
          JScrollPane scrollPane2 = new JScrollPane( table2 );
          getContentPane().add( scrollPane2, BorderLayout.EAST );
          JPanel north = new JPanel( new GridLayout(1, 2) );
          north.add( new JLabel("Width = 0") );
          north.add( new JLabel("Remove Table Column") );
          getContentPane().add(north, BorderLayout.NORTH );
     public static void main(String[] args)
          TableColumnHide frame = new TableColumnHide();
          frame.setDefaultCloseOperation( EXIT_ON_CLOSE );
          frame.pack();
          frame.setVisible(true);
}Since we 'hid' the first column, try tabbing from the last column to the first. Notice which approach requires 2 tabs before the appropriate cell gets highlighted.

    When you click on the save button, you need to go through the model and retrieve the values getValueAt().
    Convert to whatever type you want since getValueAt() returns type Object and update the DB.

    Hi  ,
    For removing a content database from a Web application, you can take steps as below:
    1.On the Manage Content Databases page, click the content database that you want to remove.
    2.On the Manage Content Database Settings page, in the Remove Content Database section, select the Remove content database check box.
    If any sites are currently using this database, a message box appears. Click OK to indicate that you want to proceed with the removal.

  • Slicers Removed from Template: "Removed Records: Slicer Cache from /xl/slicerCaches/slicerCache3.xml part (Slicer Cache)"

    Product: Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010
    I have created a template file with a data table, 2 pivot tables, and each of those 2 pivot tables has a pivotchart and 2 slicers.  I have some code that updates the pivot table ranges.  When that occurs the pivot tables, pivotcharts and slicers
    all update successfully.
    The problem comes after saving the .xlsm file.  Upon opening the file I receive a message saying "Excel found unreadable content in 'myTemplate.xlsm'. Do you want to recover the contents of this workbook? If you trus the source of this workbook,
    click Yes."
    I then get a list or removed records and the repair that was done.
    Removed Records: Slicer Cache from /xl/slicerCaches/slicerCache3.xml part (Slicer Cache)
    Removed Records: Slicer Cache from /xl/slicerCaches/slicerCache4.xml part (Slicer Cache)
    Removed Records: Slicers from /xl/slicers/slicer2.xml part (Slicer)
    Removed Records: Drawing from /xl/drawings/drawing4.xml part (Drawing shape)
    Repaired Records: Named range from /xl/workbook.xml part (Workbook)
    Most of the file is OK with the exception of my last worksheet.  The pivot table and chart get updated, but the slicers are gone.  Any idea why this is happening?  Can something be done to prevent this?
    Thanks,
    Rich

    Hi Rich,
    Based on your description, my understanding is that slicers are removed after you get the error messages and repair it. You wonder to know why slicers are lost after repairing, it seems that the corrupted file caused the issue.
    Please try to update the  pivot table ranges manually without macros. According to my test, the slicers won’t be lost without macros. Please test this method in your own environment. If it
    works fine after disable macros, please check your code.
    If my understanding is incorrect, could you upload a sample via OneDrive and be at bit more precise explain your problem, so that we can get more accurate solutions to this problem. I am glad to help and forward to your reply.
    Hope it’s helpful.

  • Removed Records: PivotTable report from /xl/pivotTables/pivotTable1.xml part (PivotTable view)

    I keep getting an error in Excel 2013 when using PowerPivot. Can someone please explain to me what this error means? I can't see that there is anything wrong with the underlying data, and the list of "removed data" is empty too...
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
    <recoveryLog xmlns="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/spreadsheetml/2006/main"><logFileName>error085600_01.xml</logFileName><summary>Errors were detected in file 'E:\SkyDrive\Documents\Forex\Greenzone_Stats\Greenzone_2013_v2.xlsx'</summary><removedRecords summary="Following is a list of removed records:"><removedRecord>Removed Records: PivotTable report from /xl/pivotTables/pivotTable1.xml part (PivotTable view)</removedRecord></removedRecords></recoveryLog>
    TIA!
    Dennis

    Turns out it's a resource limitation in Excels chart rendering engine. If I filter the data model so that less rows are included in the PivotChart, the error goes away.

  • Remove decommissioned SQL database from SCOM

    Hi,
    In SCOM 2007 R2, we have few SQL databases which have been decommissioned & removed but, they are still in Healthy state in SCOM.
    How can I remove these entries from SCOM? I want to remove only the databases.
    TIA.

    Try this  -
    1) Log in to those SQL servers
    2) Stop System center management(SCOM health) service.
    3) Rename Health Service State folder located at "c:\programfiles\system center operations manager\agent\Health Service State:.
    4) Restart System center management(SCOM health) service.
    5) Wait for few minutes so that discoveries can run again and then check in the SCOM console. Those Databases should go away now.
    Please let me know if this did not help or if this is not what you are looking for.

  • Remove the key listener from JTable problem please help

    Hi
    Im trying to remove the key listener from my table, it doesnt work,
    Im pressing the enter key it still goes to the next row from the table,
    hear is my code
    KeyListener[] mls = (KeyListener[])(table.getListeners(KeyListener.class));
    for(int i = 0; i < mls.length; i++ )
    table.removeKeyListener(mls);
    Please help thanks

    Hm ...
    that should indeed remove all the KeyListeners from your table - the question is only, when does this happen?- Where in your code do you remove the KeyListeners?- I am quite sure, you remove them successfully, but after your have removed them, one or more KeyListeners are added to the table.

    My question is in lines 177-187:
    public void tableChanged(TableModelEvent e) { // step 4
    int row = e.getFirstRow();
    int column = e.getColumn();
    TableModel model = (TableModel)e.getSource();
    String columnName = model.getColumnName(column);
    Object tableModel = model.getValueAt(row, column);
    // Do something with the data...
    System.out.println(tableModel);
    System.out.println("data");
    Why is my listener not working or why is it not implemented when I click the cells in the JTable and why is it not reflected into the JTable or into the console?
    If this is Flash, Things can be done easily, but this is Java, and I dont know much about this language. I admit that I am new to this -intirely new.

    Why is my listener not working or why is it not implemented when I click the cells in the JTable and why is it not reflected into the JTable or into the console?What does happen when you click on the cells?
    Does the ResultSetTableModel report the cells as editable? If not you will never get to edit their contents, and so the table's model won't change, and so the table model listener will never get invoked.
    When you post code here use the code tags. Basically you put {code} at the start of your code and again at the end. That way the code will be readable.
    Try to post minimal examples with which others can reproduce your problem. In this case "minimal" would involve removing or drastically simplifying a lot of the GUI stuff which is just noise. But "reproduce" would involve including the ResultSetTableModel.
    When you have solved the problem, please notify me with the code that's changedAvoid this.
    What you say here is quite possibly not what you mean. But, in any event, while there might be plenty of interest in helping with specific problems there will likely be none in writing your code. Your problem remains yours. But your solution and your code - prompted by whatever help you might recieve - will also be yours.

  • How to insert records in database from a dataset with multiple tables

    Hi,
    I'm struggling with the following problem:
    I have saved a dataset to an XML file by executing the following statement:
       ds.WriteXml( "Export\\ModuleChain_Mdata.xml" );The dataset, ds, includes records from several tables.
    Is there an easy way to retrieve those records to the database, I.E inserting them again?
    regards Peter

    you can try Associative Arrays:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/oramag/oracle/07-jan/o17odp.html
    you need to convert yore DataTables to array first and than pass them in to the associative array procedure.

    Find attached example. It was converted from 6 to 5. Therefore, let me know if it's not working and I'll post a screen capture of its block diagram. The example replaces the last entry in one table containing one string column.
    Hope this helps

    This is a follow up on the code I have posted above.
       public void tableChanged(TableModelEvent e) { // step 4
            int row = e.getFirstRow();
            int column = e.getColumn();
            TableModel model = (TableModel)e.getSource();
            String columnName = model.getColumnName(column);
            Object tableModel = model.getValueAt(row, column);
            // Do something with the data...
            System.out.println(tableModel);
            System.out.println("data");
        }the tableChanged doesnt get called when I would click the cells. The cells are all editable, but as soon as you edit it and press enter, it snaps back to the old data.
    How do we make them editable and how do we notify java that the a cell has changed so that we can send it to the database on that specific column of that specific row?
    Thanks in advance
    Bob

  • Deleting records from a Database using JTable

    Hello!
    I have a JTable that displays records from a database and a Jbutton .
    If i press the button i want that the record coresponding to selectedRow(from the JTable) to be erased from the database.How can i manipulate selectedRow from JTable to do that?
    Pls any suggestions (and if it's possible +code)?
    Thanks!

    Hi Margot,
    Let's assume that you have created a table using vectors. Simply remove the element from the vector at row selected and redraw. Maybe not the greatest solution but should work.
    Vector rowData = new Vector();
    //read in values for each row
    Vector headers = new Vector();
    //add your headers
    JTable table = new JTable(rowData, headers);
    int row = table.getSelectedRow();
    rowData.removeElementAt(row);
    table = new JTable(rowData, headers);HTH,
    Chris

  • Problem removing rows from JTable

    Hello,
    I'm having an issue with a JTable that I'm using. At one point in my application, I want to remove all the rows from the table and regenerate them (from a database). When I try to remove the rows and do nothing else, they remain in the table. The rows are being removed from the model, as I have verified this in code, but the display does not refresh at all.
    I am using custom renderers to change the background color of a cell based on its value, and I disabled them to see if that was the problem, but alas, it is not.
    Any suggestions or ideas why this may be occurring?

    I am using model.setRowCount(0); to clear the model, however the display never refreshes. Then you are doing something wrong because its that simple. Only a single line of code is required.
    Perhaps I should have included this in my original post.Actually, you should have included demo code in your original post. That way we don't have to guess what you are doing.
    If you need further help then you need to create a [url http://homepage1.nifty.com/algafield/sscce.html]Short, Self Contained, Compilable and Executable, Example Program (SSCCE) that demonstrates the incorrect behaviour, because I can't guess exactly what you are doing based on the information provided.
    And don't forget to use the [url http://forum.java.sun.com/help.jspa?sec=formatting]Code Formatting Tags so the code retains its original formatting.

  • Add and remove columns from JTable

    Help me please!
    A try to remove column from JTable. It's removed, but when I try to add column in table, then I get all old (removed early) columns + new column....
    I completely confused with it.....
    Here is my code for remove column:
    class DelC implements ActionListener
              public void actionPerformed (ActionEvent e )
                   int [] HowManyColDelete = table.getSelectedColumns();
                   if (HowManyColDelete.length !=0)
                        TableColumnModel tableCModel = table.getColumnModel();
                        for (int i = HowManyColDelete.length-1; i>-1; i--)
                             table.getColumnModel().removeColumn (tableCModel.getColumn (HowManyColDelete [ i ]));
                   else
                          JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(JOptionPane.getRootFrame(), "Column is not selected!");
         }

    It's little ex for me, I just try understand clearly how it's work (table models i mean). Here is code. All action with tables take place through menu items.
    My brain is boiled, I've try a lot of variants of code, but did't get right result :((
    It's code represent problem, which I've describe above. If you'll try remove column and then add it again, it will be ma-a-a-any colunms...
    I understand, that my code just hide columns, not delete from table model....
    But now I have not any decision of my problem...
    Thanks a lot for any help. :)
