Remove SOAP-ENV tags from xml RECEIVER RESPONSE payload (XSL needed?)

Hi
I need to remove some tags from the payload of a RESPONSE message in a SOAP webservice scenarion.
The received payload looks like this:
before -

<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:ns="http://tempuri.org/what.xsd">
<SOAP-ENV:Body>
<ns:crejob-resp>
<response-data>
<Result>0</Result>
</response-data>
</ns:crejob-resp>
</SOAP-ENV:Body>
</SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
after it should look like this
after -

<crejob-resp>
<response-data>
<Result>0</Result>
</response-data>
</crejob-resp>
I was thinking of using XSL as a "pre-burner" step before my mapping program but need help to XSL on this.
Hope somebody can help
Cheers

I am sorry to be such a pain in the a..
But I still get the wrong result (with your first option, 2nd option is not working):

<crejob-resp>
<response-data>0<Result>0</Result></response-data>
</crejob-resp>
Hope u can help again
and also my source can look like: (unbounded on response-data)

<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:ns="http://tempuri.org/what.xsd">

</response-data>
<response-data>

</ns:crejob-resp>
</SOAP-ENV:Body>
</SOAP-ENV:Envelope>

• Remove XML tags from XML element in Oracle

Hi,
I have a requirement where I have to remove all the xml tags from xml element with banks, currently I'm using replace 4 times to replace all different types of xml tags, performance is really bad. is there any better option to remove xml tags from xml data leaving the actual data. please find the example data below.
select
TO_CLOB(REPLACE(REPLACE(REPLACE(REPLACE
('<Concatcolumn><ConcatGroupID>MyText Data goes here </ConcatGroupID><ConcatGroupID>Data agian</ConcatGroupID></Concatcolumn>','<ConcatGroupID>'),'<Concatcolumn>'),'</ConcatGroupID>',';'),';</Concatcolumn>')) AS Concatcolumn
from dual
**************Out put*************
MyText Data goes here ;Data agian

One way is to use xquery:
SQL> with t as
select xmltype('<Concatcolumn>
<ConcatGroupID>MyText Data goes here </ConcatGroupID><ConcatGroupID>Data agian</ConcatGroupID></Concatcolumn>'
) xml from dual
select xmlquery('string-join(//text(), ";")' passing xml returning content).getclobval() xml from t
XML
MyText Data goes here ;Data agian
1 row selected.

• How do I remove the acronym tags from menu items in Business Catalyst?

Hello, can anybody answer this for me please? Not having any success googling or foruming it so far.
How do I remove the acronym tags from menu items in Business Catalyst?
Thanks in advance
Grant

These are titles and in the dynamic menu will be the item description per item.
These are actually important though and you do not really want to remove them but make them better and reword them other then the same as the link test. These are good for the user experience as well as SEO. A bot knowing a description of a link and where it is going coupled with the URL's and the title of an anchor are all important aspects of your sites SEO.

Dear Odie,
May I make your example a bit more complicated by adding an additional complexType, please:

Massive thanks for your help!
N.B. Just to emphasise, in my case I have 3 levels (complexType > complexType > complexType) and many elements and I would like to know if there is any generic option to say
to remove all the empty elements from the result, as it causes to the SSJ (Systinet) Webservice to crash.

ok, I have title field on a page and the user entered special character "&" and there is a HTML definition being used and that definition goes through parsexmlstring function.
For example In the cust_title field on a page the user entered " A & B"
I went to the HTML definition and wrapped cust_title field in the CDATA tags like
%BIND(:8)

Now , there is no error, XML is getting published. But in the xml message
I see Cdata tags and string is appearing exactly as it was entered.....
But how can I get rid of the Cdata tags from the XML message?

hi,
you have to simply add one module in your communication channel
that is XMLAnonymizerBean
you can refer below for help:
Remove namespace prefix or change XML encoding with the XMLAnonymizerBean

• How do I remove the blue tag from my HD?

Since upgrading to Mavericks I have had a blue 'dot' tag next to my HD's name on my desktop.
I have figured out how to assign and remove tags from folders generally, but I just cannot find how to remove the blue dot from the main HD on the desktop.
For example, if I right-click on the desktop icon I can see that the blue tag is selected in the tag options, but it just cannot be deselected there at all.
If I right-click on the desktop HD icon and select 'Get Info' I can then see the top box in the Get Info panel has 'Blue' showing in it, but there appears to be no way to get rid of it there either.
How can I switch of this unwanted blue tag on my HD icon?

Looks like all you guys out there have all been a little too busy to post a reply to this one, but that's fine because life can be a little too full at times.
The good news is that I found a solution, quite accidentally really. I simply renamed the HD Drive (Get Info > Name & Extension). The new name appeared under the drive icon without the blue tag. Job done. I am guessing that the blue tag was just a bug that was a hangover left by upgrading from a previous version of OS X, but whatever it was it has now gone.
Thank you.

• How to retrieve SOAP Original Header from request and response

Hi,
Does anyone know how to retrieve SOAP original header from SOAP request and response? I surfed but I'm able to see only the retrieval of SOAP custom headers via BPM mediator. Can anyone please help me regarding this? Also Please tell me how to check the headers in the Enterprise Manager.

HI Chandra,
Thanks for your suggestions.
But i think in my case we do not want to get the complete list. We still want to get only 100 items initially and then if the user would scroll down he/she would see more items. But we already need to know the total number of items for the purpose of showing a message to the user. For e.g. Total issues (515), but the table would initially show only 100 and then another 100 after scroll. So setting the size litmit to max would not help.
And to be able to use the $count you mentioned, we have to still make another oData service call which we do not want.
But as i mentioned there is already a property named "__count" in the response of the bindItems() method call and i see that it has correct count but not sure how to retrieve it inside the controller. Thanks.
Regards,
Ashish

If the system thinks they are Spam, why don't they go straight into the Spam folder?

Hi orange_dude,
Check out this link for more info on how to filter spam. Let me know if this helps.

• Remove SOAP Header Element from ALSB Proxy Service Response

I've got a client of one of my ALSB Proxy services that needs the SOAP header element removed from the response. I'm struggling to find a way to do that with a WSDL-based proxy service. Do I need to change my service to an Any XML Service or is there an easier way?

At the same time, could you please also tell me how do i convert a XML Response from a business service to a SOAP Response in Proxy Service.
My client is expecting a soap response and the backend gives back only the XML Response
Thanks in advance!!

• Remove tags from XML using transformation

Can anybody tell me how to remove empty tags using xsl transformation.
<App_Data App="MOD" Name="Metadata_Id" Value="SP1282"/>
<App_Data App="MOD" Name="Metadata_Spec_Major_Version" Value=""/>
<App_Data App="MOD" Name="Metadata_Spec_Minor_Version" Value=""/>
My XML will have tags similar to above. My requirement is to remove all tags having attribute Value="". How can i achieve this using transformation.
Thanks
Krish

You need to add the xsi:nil="true" attribute to your xsl-construct to be able to ommit the xml-element which are empty.
To be able to do this you need to add a choose-when-otherwise xsl construct inside your mapping file to test for ""-values.
The xsi:nill='true' isn't supported in the transform-activity yet, you need to add this attribute manually inside your xsl-mapping file.
Kind regards,
Nathalie

• How to view SOAP header generated from XML Gateway ?

Hi All,
I am using XML Gateway integrate EBS and trading partner using web services.
Currently I am having problem with including wsse authorization information in the outbound message of EBS.
I am able to view the payload in the transaction monitor but not able to check the SOAP header of message.
How to view the current SOAP header generated by EBS and/or include the wsse information which are required by recipient trading partners ?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
Ram

No, this XML is the whole XI message and it is not sent by the SOAP (axis) adapter. If you want to see exactly what is sent, try checking it with the TCPGateway tool as advised on the SOAP FAQ note
[Note 856597 - FAQ: XI 3.0 / PI 7.0 / PI 7.1 SOAP Adapter|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1wdCZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=856597]
Under question "Q: How can I trace the whole message?". Otherwise, on SXMB_MONI, try selecting the PAYLOAD item on the left menu and, on the payload on the right, right-click and select "VIEW SOURCE".
