Remove trusted cert from cert store

Hi,
actually I think about a problem with a signed applet that contained a flaw. Of course the users have most probably already set the certificate to "always grant" when they first used the applet.
I know that I can remove the cert from the store with the Java Plug-in Control Panel and that the users will then be asked again. And that the cert ends up in a user file called trusted.certs.
(e.g. under WinXP in the user-path ...\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\security\)
So this is what I need to do BUT: As I have many users I would strongly prefer a programmatic way to remove the cert without deleting the whole file (as it may also contain other certs).
Any ideas?

there are many reasons not to update apps, wow, you probably just buy anything people tell you!! Sometimes you lose parts of an app with an update, like when shazam started limiting how many checks you could do. if you didn't update you would still be able to have unlimited downloads. OF course eventually you will have to either update or it wont work with a new operating system roll out , but that buys you a lot of time to re-evaluate shazam and see if you really think it's all that or not. if you would have updated your software right away like apple wanted you to last year, you would have been one of the millions that had all their info posted all over the web for every crook, hacker and thief to look over!! I;m guessing from your reply you probably are one of the ones that was security compromised. there are just 2 reasons out of a whole list of reasons why someone might not want to update their apps!! If you don't have anything helpful to say when someone asks a question, your not doing them or anyone a favor just zip and move along to something you might be able to help someone with

If you mean an iTunes store id then Settings > Store - touch the id on the right and select sign-out from the popup. You can also do it via the bottom of the Feature tab in the App Store app. If you have any apps on the iPad that were downloaded/installed via that id then you may want to delete them - if updates for them ever appear in the App Store then you will only be able to update them via the id that was used to buy them (apps are linked to the account id, not to the device that they are on)

Nobody allows anything on this forum, it all done voluntarily by dedicated folk who give up their time to help others. KT is perhaps the most knowledgeable on this forum - but without FULL information he cannot be expected to know what's in your mind.
Your book and everybody who submits it to the review team for inclusion in the store and is accepted - can NEVER be removed by its author. Apple require its history for accounting and inventory purposes.
Any author can withdraw a book from the store wether its free or paid account by using iTunes connect and navigate to the Rights and territories page and de-selecting either individual countries or all.
Apple then remove it from public access.
If you want to know how to remove anything from your personal purchasing... assuming you mean books downloaded to your iPad... simply delete it and also delete it from your iTunes account. If thats not enough information - then you need to find a different forum that one dealing with iBooks Author related issues.

On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link. If you are doing it on your iPad then tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.

I would like to remove an account on my macpro. When I set up my mac I used my apple ID. I then gave the mac to my son and he is using his apple id. Whenever he needs to update a mac app like iphoto it asks for my apple id. I would like to remove my id for help so he does not always need to come to me.

The issue is that if these iLife apps came bundled on the Mac and your Mac did not come with install DVDs, then these apps have been accepted into your Mac App Store account. The only way to change this is to call Apple Care and as per Hacks previous posts, request to be transferred to the Account Support Team and request that they release the Mac and bundled apps from your account's Apple ID.

Is the MacOS X version in your signature correct? Then you cannot be using Aperture 3.3.2?
You should not be seeing duplicate entries in the "Store Files" pop-up menu. This looks like your Aperture Preferences file is corrupted and needs fixing.
Quit Aperture (and log off and on again, if you are running MacOS X 10.7 or later)
Then reveal your User Library (from the Finder's main menu bar, the "Go" menu. Hold down the options-key until the library apears in the drop-down menu)
In the Library folder select the "Preferences folder and locate the file "~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist"
Now you can either
remove the com.apple.Aperture.plist file to the Desktop, to force Aperture to create a new one, but you will have to set again your Preferences from the "Preferences" panel,
or make a backup copy of the file and edit it, if you are an experienced programmer and have Xcode installed. To fix the drop-down list you need to edit the item "RecentReferenceFolders" and delete the redundant folder names. Enter "recent" into the search field to find it quickly. If you click an item in the list, plus/minus buttons should appear. But only try this, if you know how to edit property lists, otherwise it will be much safer to delete the faulty list and to set your preferences again from the "Preferences" panel.

since a while in the App store (both on iPhone or on the computer) it's possible to re-install old purchases of apps that you once downloaded and deleted. that's cool.
more than two years ago i downloaded viber, deleted it, never re-installed or used it again.
now a friend bought a smartphone, installed viber, and his viber app tells him i'm one of the 10 people out of all his phone contacts that is using viber.
when he tries to message or call me of course it doesn't work, but still i'd love to have myself removed from the servers of viber, so that people don't see me anymore as one of their contacts so called using viber.
i found an article (in Dutch) here that explains me how to remove viber from showing up in the "all purchases - not on this iPhone" part of the app store, but it explicitly tells that won't have my Apple ID disconnected from the app, it will just hide the app (it even explains how to make it show up again too)
can somebody please tell me how i CAN have this purchase removed from my apple ID history - and thus hopefully have my 'link' removed at the Viber servers
