Remove zero leading

The length of the Material Master is 18 Char in R/3. It will start will zero, i.e. 000000001008119839
This will be extracted into PSA with zero leading, then loaded and stored in Material Master InfoObject Master Data as 000000001008119839. When I display this in the query, it will display as 000000001008119839.
In the Query Designer, is there a way for me to remove the zero so that it will display as 1008119839?
Please advice, thank you.

do you mean it displays this in the query result? or just in the query definition?
the latter won't really hurt, will it? if it shows you that in the query result, the next question would be how are looking at those results: in Analyzer, Report Designer, Web Application Designer, Portal?

  • How can I remove the leading zeros on jpg files?

I'm looking for a way to remove the leading zeros on over 1000 jpg files, without changing the remaining digits in the file name. Is there some automated "batch" script?
    i.e going from 003405607.jpg  to  3405607.jpg

You could write an AppleScript. but it will be easier to get and use a third-party file renaming utility. I use the freeware NameChanger which works quite well.

  • Removing (only) leading zeros in a string

    Hello experts.
I need to remove the leading zeros from the material name in Crystal Report for Enterprise. I stared with function Replace and Trim and it's fine in case I specify the number of zeros to be removed.
In reality number can be 00001103 or 00455601 and there is no way to know how many leading zeros. If I choose not to specify the number of replacements, all zeros will be removed with result 113 and 445561 which is not desirable one. I should get 1103 and 455601.
What syntax would remove only leading zeros?
    Thank you,
    Victoria

    hi Victoria,
    you could do something like
    if isnumeric({your field}) then
         totext(tonumber({yourfield}),0)

  • Removal of leading zeros for material no. in report

    hi
my issue is that i have to remove leading zeros for material number when displaying in alv grid.iam getting output.but leading have to truncated automatically.
    eg: 000000000000000102
    the ouput should be 102.
please do provide solution for this or any function module.thanks in advance.

    Hi Sanjana,
while populating the internal table use the conversion exit available for MATNR. this will remove the leading zeros.
oter possible way, declare the internaltable by referring the data element MATNR, i hope if you do this, it will delete the leading zeros automaticallt.
or if you declare the internal table field as charecter type, use the ALPLA_CONVERSION_EXIT_INPUT ot OUTPUT function module to remove the leading zeros.

  • Removal of leading zeroes

    Hi guys,
I have an infoobject MELEM.  It has values like '000000001234'.  I want to remove the leading zeroes in the output for the ODS, which is feeding to Cube and finally to MP.  Please can some one write the code for this on the update rules.  The infoobject has length 40 CHAR.
    Thanks,
    Jenny

    Hi Kamaljeet,
Can you be little bit more specific about where to write the code? is it on the infoobject transfer routine? or in the update rule in the cube? i tried to write in the update rule of the cube. I don't want to change the info object globally. Because it is specific to my cube only. So, I want to write in the start routine like this:
    DATA:   l_myobj  LIKE /bic/myobj.
but it is complaining, because it doesn't have the master data.  i know the declaration is wrong.  I got the error message like this:
E:Field "/BIC/MASMBLYPN" is unknown. It is neither in one of the specified tables nor defined by a "DATA" statement.
    Can someone please help me?
    Thanks,
    Jenny

  • Removal of leading zeros?

    Hi,
if my infoobject value is 9999 it is updated into cube as 0000009999.
How to write the routine to remove the leading zeros before the value?
    shilpa

    Hi,
U can either use this function module also
    CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_OUTPUT
    or
SHIFT <yourField> LEFT DELETING LEADING '0'
    or
try NO-ZERO option of WRITE statement
    or
Another way is to create another variable of type I and assign the value into it
    example:
    DATA: L_NUMC(08) TYPE N.
    DATA: L_INT TYPE I.
    L_NUMC = '00000018'.
    L_INT = L_NUMC.
    Result will be = 18.

  • Remove zero in conversion file

    Hi experts
Can you help me with a way to remove zero in conversion file, let me explain, I want to load transactional data from BW but I have a charateristic with 10 character but in BPC side my dimension have 8 character, technicaly in BW the file is like this:
    BW
    0012345678
    BPC
    12345678
How can I remove left zeros for the characteristic?
    any input will be apreciated.
    regards
    Lucio Martinez!!

    Hi Lucio,
I will present my scenario. I want to remove the leading Zeros from the Customer ID and while transferring the values in BPC, I want to prefix the value (after removing the zeros) with 'C_'. eg: 000012345 so I want to transfer that as 'C_12345'.
In transformation file, I had done the mapping as
    ID=*str(C_)+ID
which works fine, if I dont have to remove the zeros. I added code in the Conversion file
    EXTERNAL                      INTERNAL
                                 js:PARSEINT(%external%)
But it is giving me an error message that validation has failed for transformation file and it is giving a message that:
Line 1 :Detected duplicate member ID 'NaN' .. Line 3560 :Detected duplicate member ID 'NaN'
Can you please help me out in this situation? Any suggestions how can I achieve this?
Your replies will be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

  • Command for remove zeros in sapscript

    Hello:
I need to remove zeros of a variable in a sapscript,
    TALGN = 0000427795776
and I need to remove the zeros so:
    TALGN = 427795776
But sometimes will be 3, 4 or more zeros, is there a way to do it with a sapscript command? or this should be done in the program?
Best regards and thank you for your help.
    Miriam

    Hi Miriam,
In SAP Scripts , you have Layout Set Symbols which you can use for doing things like :-
    Getting Offset - &SYMBOL+4&
    Length - &SYMBOL(5)&
If symbol is initial ,output nothing - &SYMBOL(I)&
    Suppress Leading zeroes - &SYMBOL(Z)&.
    And many more such symbols.
Hence, you dunt need to write the code in your driving program  and pass to the Script.
You can directly use these symbols in your script and get things done in simple manner.
    Hope this helps...

  • Remove zeros in LOVs of BW Infoobjects on Webi report

    Dear Experts,
My BW infoobjects(0GL_ACCOUNT) showing preceding zeros in the BI4.1 WEBI Prompts LOVs, so user don't want the zeros and they need only values and also they compare BEx analyzer with BO since BEx analyzer LOVs shows only values without zeros.
Is there any function or setting either in BO or BEx designer to remove zeros in the BW infoobjects? so that in BO LOVs display only values without zeros.
Currently values is 0000123456 in BO LOVs and user want only 123456 as per BEx analyzer.

  • Removing zeros from data stream

    Hi
I have incoming data (plz see attached diagram which shows the 2 states of the for loop '0' and default) which is a 1-D array of 64 bit real data .....it goes through the loop which removes zeros from the array.
As I have 3 elements in the 1-D array (call them x,y,z ), the loop works very well for all values of 'y' and 'z' .
However when x gets towards 1 and below say 10e-3 (it never is a negative number), the loop is rounding everything to 1 and then when the value gets between 1 and 0 (10e-3 for example) the loop leaves it out altogether and I just get y,z  values saved.
Plz help me sort this out .
    Cheers
    Baz

  • Removing zeros on the excel download

I wanted to know how we can remove zeros from the kebtr at the excel download through ALV without converting it to a type c. for now I am converting it to type c and then validating it this way :
    if tb_main-kebet = 0.
        tb_main1-kebtr = space.
      endif.
But because of this the formats are not ok and user insists that it should be a numberic field for him.
    Thank you very much.

    Hello Kris,
I am able to see the data properly in XLS File.
    Use fieldcatlog no_zero = 'X'.
Now run the transaction -> click on XL Icon ( if you do not get the data properly using navigation),now see the results here.
you can save same xls file into local machine too.
    Thanks
