Removed Video app - restoring didn't

My daughter removed Video and Maps apps. I tried to restore my iPod Touch but I got error "iPod could not be restored. the device isn't eligible for the requested build.". I have iPod Touch gen 2 with 3.1.3.
I have always used my iPod touch by proper way. So what now?

I only saw that she removed Video app. She removed it by normal way like other apps.
I think issue can be related to my MacBook. My MB display get broken (my daughter dropped it) and I bought similar second hand model. Then I just changed hard disk. Maybe I will try to restore it in other mac.

If iTunes Support decide to refund you (purchases are considered final) then you will probably get a credit onto your iTunes account.

I have unlocked my iPhone 3G with Vodafone via iTunes, but now the downloaded apps crash immediately when opened. I've tried a Restore, but this didn't help. I've also tried removing all apps and re-installing them, but they still don't work. Any ideas?

yep, unfortunately can't reset without the passcode either.
With regards to doing a restore, do you mean:
open itunes on my computer
click on my device on the left
go to the device summary
click restore
it then asks if i want to back up before i restore (to which i say no)
then it asks me if i'm sure I want to restore to factory settings and that all of me media and data will be erased and replaced with the newest version ( to which I say yes)
then it takes about 90 mins to do this but when I look at my phone, everything is exactly the same.
Am I missing something? Obviously I'm technologically challenged, but I HAVE to get to the bottom of this!

If it is warranty, bring it back to the Genius bar and insist on a replacement. If out of warranty, you can get a replacement iPod with a new battery for $79 at the genius bar.

Connect via cable to a computer with iTunes. From iTunes, select the iPad and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and do not restore from backup.

I've got a problem with the Videos-App on my iPhone 4s running iOS 5.1.1 (9B206).
A few weeks ago I've added a few small movies to my iPhone via iTunes on Mac. Unfortunately I had to interrupt the transfer-process. Now I have two annoying gray items in my video-library on my iPhone.
Do you have any idea how I can remove them? I've already deleted the videos in my iTunes Library, that's why I can't retransfer them... In addition to that I would like to keep my Phone as it is(use Backup).

You should be able to restore it by going into the app store, then into the "purchased" section (along the bottom of the screen), and finally redownloading it to your phone by clicking on the app icon in the list of purchased apps.

You don't need an app to do that.
Launch the Videos app. Tap on TV Shows, tap the Edit button in ther upper right corner. The X to delete will appear on the TV show icons. Tap that X to delete the shows.
Or go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Videos>TV shows. Use the Edit button there or swipe from right to left across the TV show to get the red delete button.

The folder where your backup data is stored changes depending on the computer's operating system. Since iTunes only keeps one backup per device, you should ensure the backup folder is included in your periodic data backup routine.
iTunes places the backup files in the following places:
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Windows Vista and Windows 7:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: If you do not see the AppData or Application Data folders, you may need to show hidden files (Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7).

If you don't have, you'll have to start all over again. Apps can be downloaded again for free, but any data like game settings or similar will not be included, these are part of the backup.

Videos not displayed in Videos app

Back when I updated to iOS 6 some videos disappeared from the Videos app. Now I realize that the videos show in the movies section under "On this iPad" in iTunes when I connect, which I don't do very often. I can actually play the videos in iTunes but I can't delete them. Since I can't find them on the iPad I can't delete them there either. The videos together take up about 1.3 GB and I'd like to recover that space. I tried creating some new videos with the same name to see if they would show up but that didn't work. Any idea how to remove these hidden videos?

I decided to take the plunge and restore the iPad mini as new. Pain in the rear end having to log in to all of the apps that I reinstalled. Oh well. FaceTime now works. On the whole the iPad runs more smoothly. Running iOS 8.1.2. I still have issue with artwork not displaying on some of the video files that I had synced to the iPad mini from my iMac through iTunes. The problem is only with artwork that I had associated to the files. The same file won't show it's artwork on my iPhone 4s running iOS 8.1.2 either. Yet, when I sync that same video file to my iPod Touch 4G running iOS 6.1.6, the artwork displays correctly as I had associated it in iTunes. This leads me to conclude that the problem lies in the iOS 8 upgrade.

My "Videos" app will not open on my iPhone 4S.

Whenever I click on the app, my screen goes white like it's about to load, but then it jumps right back to the home screen.
