Removing SESS_IMAGE graphic from HTML GUI

Hi
I would like to know how to remove the SESS_IMAGE picture from the SAP Gui for HTML on ITS 6.20?
This is for performance reasons. Any tips on further improving performace will be appreciated.

Hi Faaiez,
Which image file do you exactly mean by SESS_IMAGE? Do the webbrowsers of your users cache the images locally? If so it might not change the performance very much.

Unable to Display Background Graphic From HTML File Generated from AI File

I am trying to figure out if this is a MAC OS X or Safari issue. I have already a message into the author of the plug-in as well as created a posting on the Adobe Forum.
I am following a tutorial on Lynda.com called "Design the Web: Illustrator to Animated HTML5 Canvas." I am using a plug in called Ai2CanvasMac with Adobe Illustrator, It essentially generates an HTML file from an Illustrator file. The Illustrator file has an embedded PNG file as a background image and a small vector graphic in front and centered. After the plug-in generates the HTML file, it automatically opens the file up in the browser. This is where I am getting mixed results.
Safari: The small vector does appear and in the center where the embedded background should appear. But the background image isn't displaying, only a white background is showing.
Firefox and Chrome: The page is totally blank. Not even the vector graphic appears.
It will work with two different approaches.
1. If I edit the source image web links in HTML file and use links from any graphics I find off the web. That works fine. The images are displayed in the browser window.
2. If I embedded PNG images from my desktop into the Illustrator file and generate the HTML file. That works fine too.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why I can't the graphics to display properly in the browser without doing this workaround?

Remove scroll bar from html snippet?

Hello there,
I have a little html sniipet on the fron page of my website which includes text from a small Goole sites page. The page it references has some google related text at the bottom ad is thus higher than the size of the snippet 'box'. O my iweb page it shows up with a scroll bar on the right. Is there anything I can add to the html code in the snippet to turn the scroll bar off?

I have modified HTML template SAPLBBP_SOCO_UI_ITS to add the ordered product to the Sourcing Cockpit screen. This data has leading zeros in the database; how do I prevent them from showing up on the screen?

Thanks for your last answer that allowed me resolving same kind of issue.
My issue was to prevent 0 from being displayed in 3 character string for percentage. example :
001 -> 1
020-> 20
There was no other way as "write" or "shift" statements working on abap side never transferred correctly on html display side

Interactive reports - Removing search field from html export

Hi,
I have an IR with "download formats" HTML enable , set within Report atributes.
I disabled search bar (also search field).
I have a button with request=HTMLD .
The html file saved is ok , except that it contain a search field.
How to generate the html export , without this "search field".

Thank you for your advice.
I do, however, respectfully disagree.
Think about this from the end users' point of view. Most end users expect ANY criteria (lwhether it be a quick search filter or an explicit filter) to check all columns in a report, not just those displayed. If the user receives a "no data found" message after invoking a quick search filter, what should they do: begin adding each of the hidden columns one at a time to see if the "no data found" message goes away? That would get very frustrating. And I believe it would be equally frustrating if users got inconsistent results based on the type of filter applied. Using an explicit filter searches all report columns while a quick search filter only checks displayed columns-- confusing for end users.
This has been my experience and see these reactions from end users.
In any case, that's my two cents on it.

How to remove Copper "Graphics" from copper

How do I cut out the copper Plane? When I use the normal Polygon function, there is alway a small copper string all around the polygon and the parts. Using the Keep-In/Keep-out tool, I get errors when I place it over parts/vias/nets....
What is the correct way to do this?

Hi,
To use the keep-out to clear and copper area, you have to tell Ultiboard what to keep-out otherwise everything within the keepout area will give a DRC warning. To specifically tell Ultiboard what to keep-out, do this:
1. Tools»Group Editor»Net Group, click the Add button and assign a group name.
2. Assign the net to the group, in case whatever net the copper area below to and make it appear under Assign Nets
Place»Keep in/out area, draw the keep-out area
4. Double click the keep-out area to open its properties dialog, check the Net Group then Options, check the net group you created
The steps are similar to what is described in this, but you want keep-out instead of keep-in.

Problem while printing from SAP GUI for HTML

Hello,
We are trying to print a delivery confirmation from the portal using SAP GUI for HTML. We have followed note 771683 to do this. However we are facing the following problems:
1) The print action(PDF creation) is not triggered until the user performs some action
2) the PDF that is created is corrupted(does not open)
In order to correct this we tried to implement note 957292. However, the changes to the object FRONTEND_PRINTPOLL_FRONT_REQUEST.HTM mentioned in this note created problems. So we decided to do the changes to this object manually. But we see that the SAP note doesn't contain any information on changes that should be implemented for this object.
Question:
Is the note 957292 only way to solve the printing(PDF) problem? If not, how can we trigger the automatic creation of the PDF and remove the error from the PDF file?
If yes, any idea what is causing the problem during the note implementation?
We are on NW2004s - EP7.0 SP10
ITS 7.0

Generate a thumbnail from HTML by pure Java on Linux without Graphics

hi - we in a requirement where we have to generate thumbnails from HTML code. The solution must be implemented in pure Java on Linux where there is no graphics support.
Options tried already are :--
1. 3rd party websites - rolled out by our client.
2. Paid products - rolled out by our client
3. Media Tracker and other java API - no luck as there is no support after HTML 4.0
4. Using any os dependent native library - rolled out by our client.
5. Lobo browser - but having troubles like it opens the browser before screenshot is taken, sometimes. Gone through by putting Thread.sleep() in between and saving remote images into a local html file etc. We got some success in there but problem doesn't end here.
Questions -
1. In the point # 5 above, our Linux server had graphics support but in code we set the system property java.awt.headless= true before capturing and generating thumbnail. My question is, if we set this property in the code then does it mean 100% that our code will not use any graphics support, if present in the underlying OS?
2. Is this really possible to generate images in java on Linux where there is no X window/X server installed? Are we just wasting time in order to achieve which is unachievable?
Any suggestions are most welcome.

Thanks for ur response! Yeah - we tried but requirements are little different. We have HTML that we have to first render. Whatever output comes, we have to take a screenshot. So in order to render the html we have to have a browser first and I believe every OS which is providing browser support is having Graphics capabilities because browser would have frames, windows, toolbars, menubars etc which fall under Graphics.
The above way is the only way that I know. If there are another way which ofcourse doesn't require graphics support, please let me know.
So the question basically is - if I follow above mentioned image (like opening browser and capture screenshot) then is it possible on Linux with no graphics support? Actually I read on internet that lobo browser (written in java) supports this kind of feature.

Set-acl and remove-ntfs both fail from PowerShell yet i can do it from the GUI

I have put together a script that searches all of our folders then searches the folders for groups that should have access and do not and groups that should not have access and do.
Finding only the folders that need NTFS permissions changed works great. Adding the groups that need added works great but removing groups is not working. Below is a section of my script with the section not working underlined. You can
see i have tried 2 approaches.
If i use the Remove-NTFSAccess command (which i really prefer) I get no errors and you would think all worked until you check.
If i use set-acl about half give me a error "Set-Acl : The process does not possess the 'SeSecurityPrivilege' privilege which is required for this operation" but it does not remove the Domain admins for any of the
folders including the ones that give no error.
I have privileges to do it. I can go to a folder and remove the group from the NTFS permissions in the GUI with no issue.

I just ran that a couple of times. No errors as long as the subfolders are not protected in a way the blocks the admin. I will try and find a folder that causes this exact scenario.

The SACL being overwritten isn't fixed. There's a Connect bug
here. Set-Acl basically does this before trying to call SetAccessControl():
$path = "$env:Temp\temp_item_name"

$binaryForm = $acl.GetSecurityDescriptorBinaryForm()
# Create a new SD object:
$newacl = New-Object $acl.GetType()
# Take the old binary form and use it for the new SD object,

$newacl.SetSecurityDescriptorBinaryForm($binaryForm, "All")
Next, it tries to call SetAccessControl() inside of a try{} block. If it detects a PrivilegeNotHeld exception, it will try to redo the section above without setting the Owner, Group, and SACL (if certain conditions are met). I can't get the second call to
error the way Lishron did, but that doesn't mean there's no scenario where that can't happen.
By the way, here's an example of trying to call SetAccessControl() with the modified SD object from above:

$FileSystemItem.SetAccessControl($newacl) # <-- Fails if you're not an admin; overwrites SACL if you are

It looks like your write filter method is returning the number of bytes written instead. Perhaps that's the reason you needed that work around?

Is it faster to use the GUI or Powershell to remove an ACE from a large folder?

I have a large folder I've been asked to remove an ACE from, around 500K files totalling about a terrabyte. The ACE is inherited down, so I know using the GUI will take a while. I was wondering if it would be easier to just use a get-acl/set-acl combo
in powershell.

If you are just making a change at the root folder and propagate it down, then I don't think it will matter, but scripting usually makes life easier.
Also with scripting, you have to be aware of long path names, which I cannot remember off the top of my head, but the security tab of the property window may not have this issue.

in a separate CSS stylesheet, and that worked just great for all columns in the grid.

you need to append the Fucntion codes to the it_exclude and then pass it to the parameter it_excluding.
append '&ABC' to it_excluding.
append '&BAC' to it_excluding.
call function 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
