I have Made An Coca application with Name "TestCal" in X code Project.Now I want to Rename Its Final App (Release Mode) Executable File to "TestCalculator".
How Can I Change The Name Of This Executable File Within That Project Only.
is It Possible Or I have to Make a New Project With Name @"TestCalculator"?..

Can I Batch Rename all files in a Project?

I have a rather large scale LabVIEW project that I would like to use as the basis for another similar project, so I just made a copy of the entire project directory. In order to avoid conflicts when switching from one project to another, I would like to rename all the files in the new project directory. I know I can rename the files individually within the project, and LabVIEW will automatically update all dependencies--but is there any way to rename ALL (or at least multiple) files from within the project? Or is there any other way that I can rename a large number of files that will update the dependencies and avoid file conflicts. For simplicity, I would probably just append a prefix/suffix to each filename.

I wrote a cloner VI just before NI release LV 8.5 where they adde the ability to add a prefix when you do a Source Distribution. Try that.

How do I import old FCP projects that have mysteriously changed to Linux Executable files? Is it as simple as renaming the files with the.fcp extension?

I had some FCP projects on an old G3 tower that I finally want to finish. I was able to grab everything, media, etc. to my macbook pro but all of the Final Cut Pro actual movies/projects have turned into "linux executable files" that FCP X won't import.
I tried googling this issue but didn't really see any good answers. Would it be as simple as renaming the files with the .fcp extension? I can't recall if my old version (really old) of FCP saves projects as .mov or .fcp files, but I'm assuming I'm not the only person this has happened to.

I had some FCP projects on an old G3 tower that I finally want to finish.
What version of FCP was this? The project files can probably no longer be opened in the newer version of the OS. You could try adding the .fcp suffix, but I don't think it will help for this. Projects files are .fcp.
Regardless of the version, no legacy FCP projects will import into FCPX.
Media is a different matter. These are probably QuickTime .mov files. If these are appearing as Unix ececutables, they're probably not recoverable either.

Wav Files renamed... now they are UNIX EXECUTABLE FILES

Hello everybody!
I ran a script in terminal to batch rename something like 2K+ .wav files following an .csv list.
The list contained 2 columns, A: the original name and B: the new desired name.

I ended up having the same 2k+ wav files perfectly renamed but the finder sees them as UNIX EXECUTABLE FILES.
Now all my audio apps can open them fine but the thing is that I need them to be listed as audio files in finder so I can preview them with QuickLook in the finder.
Anyone knows how to do this?
Renaming again using a different app (like Automator) did not work, file types and creator codes are blank. I have a utility that changes them but I don't know wich is the correct filetype and creator code....
Maybe you can shed some light on this issue....
Solved it myself. stripped the file of its extension. then replaced the extension.... worked!

Dependency list in project shows 2 DLL files. What do I need to do when creating a stand-alone executable file to ensure that it is included?

When the executable that I created is run on a stand-alone machine, a search is instantly launched to locate the missing *.DLL files along with about 20 other sub vi files from an example vi file that I downloaded last week. Once the exampe vi was open, I modified the block diagram and the front panel and then I resaved it with a new name.
The missing sub-vi files are the same files that I saw listed in the Dependencies list of the project along with the 2 DLL files. This problem shouldn't be happening because I included the top level vi file that contains the sub-vi files into the source files list under the Start-Up VIs window of the application properties. What needs to be done to make this stand-alone executabale complete?

OK...So it's not a simple as clicking the mountian icon above and inserting the location of the picture file on my PC huh? It works on my end just fine, but I understand you all don't see it.

As for the DLL file - the ONLY way I can find the DLL file that I need is to refresh the dependencies list in my project. As I explained in my previous posts, those two DLL files came with an example vi that i downloaded from the NI website last week and they must have been embedded inside of the example because I didn't create them myself and I've since resaed the original example vi as one that's been renamed by myself. In doing so, I presume that the DLL file was inherited from the original example vi file to my own vi file. However, that's clearly not the case because every time I run the executable file that I created with the renamed example vi file in my project, it immediately launches a searchfor the DLL files that it claims are missing!!! SInce the DLL files are ONLY visible in the dependencies list, I can't transfer them to the Dynamic VI and Support files window in the Application Builder. SO, I drag them up the Source Files tree in the Application Builder to the top of the tree where the Start-up vi is located and then I can move them to the Dynamic VI and Support Files window. Those DLL files don't appaer inthe top level of the tree where the Start-up vi appears before I move it to the Start-up vi window of the Application Builder. I'll try it again.

Application server File renaming function module creation - sample code

I want to rename a file from application server using function module.
Can somebody tell me is there is any such sap provided function module
is there?If not please tell me what should be abap routine to create such

You need to create a logical file name using FILE transaction. Then create a logical path and assign the physical path (actual path on app. server) to the logical path. While defining the physical filne name you have the option of selecting from the list of 'reserved word' available. For e.g. <DATE>, <TIME> etc.
Steps are:
1) Execute transaction 'FILE'.
2) Create a logical file path.
3) Assign Syntax Grp (Operating Systems) to above logical file path. You need to create the syntax group to identify the physical path in the application server. This step actually assigns the physical path to the logical path.
4) Create a logical file.
5) Assign the physical file name to the logical file. You have lots of system reserved word to choose from to suffix your file name with date and time etc.
The physical file name is used by the function module FILE_GET_NAME at runtime to compose a complete platform-specific file name.

How to convert the source code in JSP,HTML&BEANS into executable files?

We are developing one s/w product in JSP,HTML&BEANS.Now we are in the implementation phase.During the time of Installation,without copying our source code in the customer's site I want to copy the executable files of the entire source codes? Is it possible in JSP,HTML&BEANS?

In theory you can do it even with JSP but the you will be unable to run it on the standard JSP engine. :-)
From other hand, all critical logic should be in the Java Beans or at least in custom tags but not in the JSP code. Then you can protect that code and leave JSP open because there is nothing to steal or break.

Help! FCE project files converted to unix executable files

I recently added a USB external drive and put my FCE project files on it. When I rebooted, the files now are unrecognizable by Final Cut Express as project files. In the finder they are now recognized only as unix executable files. Is there any way to reverse this problem. I really can't afford to lose all that work! Thanks

How is the drive formatted? If it's not Mac formatted you may have a problem. It may be recoverable. How many project files are you talking about? What about the media?

How to Create Executable file for a project for Crio Platform

i am using CRIO 9014 platform for my application development.
i am controlling ( Reset & then Run ) FPGA from RT application .
Through TCP/IP communication the Acquired data ( from FPGA then followed by some Computation Logic in RT ) is sending to HOST computer .
during the above process
First i am starting the RT Application ( the TCP network will be continuously in listen mode ) then
i am starting my HOST Application in the project .
here i want to build my complete project as an executable file
so that i no need to start RT Application first and then HOST Application.
Could you please send me One sample Project with built in simple ADC Acquisition loop / logic in FPGA , then one sample logic / while loop in RT to acquire this ADC data from FPGA and send to HOST via TCP/IP network then the HOST with GUI for Display in the HOST .
This complete project should be build in .exe file .
Please complete project files and .exe file as a zip file.

I might be confused but what I understand from what you have mentioned is that you want to create a project having two VI's. One running on your FPGA target and another running on you host computer.You want to build a single executable file to complete the entire operation.
Unfortunately you cannot have both VI's in same executable file. You can build one executable file and deploy on your FPGA target that will start running as soon as the target is booted. And you can create another executable file for running VI on your host computer. And instead of using TCP to transfer data, you could use "Interface FPGA" from FPGA module to communicate between your host computer and communicate.

No problem at all, you can do the same by getting the output from env and unset the variables that are defined there manually. Start with
unset PATH
unset ORACLE_HOME
unset LD_LIBRATY_PATH
ad start your script again from this environment. The scheduler launches the jobs in an environment where hardly any variable is defined.

The user oracle who owns the scheduler already has permissions for the mailx and the same script is able to send notifications when run manully. Do I need to set additional permissions for scheduler ?
Also the db version is 10.2.0.5.

Adding a VI with NXT block to a project and create an executable file

Dear all,
I have a serious problem with the Lego NXT module for LabVIEW. I'm wrote a software for electrochemical measurements that has to inferface with a custom made potentiostat that is integrated with a microfluidic system, whose peristaltic pumps are moved by Lego NXT motors. Since the motors add mechanical and electrical noise to the measurements, I wanted to create a simple VI that could synchronize the motors with the measurements. I managed to do it, but when I create the executable file (the software has to run on computers that do not have LabVIEW installed, so I need to create a stand alone application to distribute it among the partners of this project) the VI that controls the motors do not work anymore and returns me an empty error message.
I hope that the problem is clear.
Now, my question is the following: Can I insert a VI that controls NXT motors in a compiled application that has to run on any PC that hasn't LabVIEW installed?

Hi Lando,
I expect you wont be able to use the dual mode NXT API in a labview built executable because that API makes calls into private labview application instances that wont exist in the context of an executable.
However, you should be able to use the older NXT Direct I/O API (these are the VIs with grey icons). This API can not be deployed to the NXT, but it sounds like you aren't interested in that anyway.
The Direct I/O palette can be found at NXT Robotics:NXT I/O: NXT Direct I/O .
Note that with this API you will be responsible for creating and destroying handles(NXT Objects) to the brick.

My zipped Logic projects contains an executable file?

I always send my project files zipped true email but now suddenly it is impossible because gmail tells me that the zipped file contains an executable file, why is this?

Regards the external drive. Check that it is formatted to Mac OS Extended or you will strike trouble and connect it with a firewire cable, not USB.

i am new with DBMS_SCHEDULER and my need is to create a job, without program and schedule, that i can call in an Apex app.
This job run a window *.bat* file via cmd.exe
I test the .bat with doubleclick and it work.
I test window run with the string c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe/c C:/mycompletepath/myfilename.bat > nul and it work.
