Rendering hyperlinks using h:commanLink and setting f:param values

dear friends,
I want to render some hyperlinks with <h:commandLink>
and then I want to set the <f:params > value of each hyperlink
all those things are stored in a ArrayList whose values depends on
parameter that I want to pass through another JSF or JSP page
I have alredy tried combination of JSTL and JSF tags it is working
properly
but there is one problem when page loads for the first time
no hyperlink gets renderd on page after refreshing page it shows all those hyperlink s
if anybody of you is getting my question and know wht to do in this situation please guide me abt the same

Actually, in your original post you used ExternalContext.getRequestMap(), not ExternalContext.getRequestParameterMap(). They both exist and there is a difference.

Run workflow when a new item is added and set a fields value

we require a workflow which should run when a new item is added to the form library(infopath) and should update the value of a field "title" with the filename(eg:111.xml).
Please let us know, how we can accomplish it.

Problems using window.close() and setting fields

Hi,
I have two problems:
First one is:
I created a simple JSP with 'Save' and 'Exit' Buttons. In the Exit button on click event I invoked a function closeWindow, which calls teh window.close(). But on clicking Exit, the window does not close. Can anyone please tell me why.
Second one is:
The JSP also needs to get loaded with some values in the Textfields. Theses values are extracted from a text field using a Java class. I am able to see that these values are extracted from the text file and are loaded into Java vars, but when I am trying to set this value into a text field, it is NOT getting set.
(filePathDetails is the instance of the class that extracts the text values)

Try the following..
For problem 1:
Use window.close() instead of window.closeWindow().
For the second problem
don't call the function setPaths() at onload. Rather
call the function after the page is loaded. You can
try like this.
If it doesn't work then check whether the browser is
giving any JavaScript error message.

How to use SQL import to set the attribute value based on another?

Hello all,
I want to set an attribute of a dimension based on another attribute (if matches). Let's say I have a dimension PRODUCT. And I have defined two user defined attributes MANAGER and ISVISIBLE.
Now within a PERMIT_READ program I want to set the ISIVISIBLE to true where the MANAGER Value is selected from a table.
Something like
<define a cursor c1 to select all the Manager values>
sql import c1 into -
:MATCHSKIPERR PRODUCT_MANAGER then <PRODUCT_ISVISIBLE (PRODUCT MANAGER) = true>
<etc>
Obviously the above is not correct. But I am stuck as to how this can be done? Can some one on this forum please help me with correct syntax/ approach please?

This statement assigns true to the isvisible attribute for every gc_dim_bu dimension (selected as part of cursor c1).
SO FAR SO GOOD.. NOW -
If I want to change the above so that the attribute value gets assigned based on another attribute for the dimension (say a flag). i.e.
Set the isvisible to true where attribute flag has a certain value. How do I code this in OLAP DML?

There are a number of ways to do this. If you want to use an attribute that has been defined within AWM as an attribute of Product then simply using the mapping tool to populate the attribute as part of the normal dimension load procedure.
Alternatively you could create an attribute at the DML level, and assuming you are not using surrogate keys, you can then define a cursor to read the relational table to populate your attribute. Something like this:

If you want to create a complex PERMIT function using OLAP DML then personally I would create a formula and assign a program of type BOOLEAN and have the program return a YES or NO depending on the outcome of your test. Then your PERMIT_READ still references a dimension object. For example:
DEFINE PROD.ISVISIBLE BOOLEAN FORMULA <PRODUCT>
EQ PRG.ISVISIBLE(PRODUCT)
DEFINE PRG.ISVISBLE PROGRAM BOOLEAN
The program will then return Yes or No depending on the processing you need to do.

How to open a report without refreshing and sending some param value

we have a summary report which has links to the detail report.For example the summary report has data like
Countries        EmployeeCount
UK                5
US                6
China                7
Total                18
When we click on China it must show the Employees whose country is China (detail report) When we click on Total it shows Employee of all countries UK,US,China...
Now when we run the summary report online say at 5:10 it shows the staus of countries at 5:10.Say the report is open while an employee of china is moved from China to Uk.But when we open the detail report it shows China count as 6 which should actually be 7 according to the summary report run time.
A similar problem exist when we schedule the report .When we schedule the summary report and detail report at same time..And then try to open the scheduled instance of detail report from summary scheduled instance ,It only works fine if no parameter is passed to openDocument url.
Say suppose I click China on summary report the Value China should be passed to detail report as Country.But whenever we try to open a scheduled instance of Detail Report along with a parameter using openDocument Url.It refreshes the whole data even though refresh is set to 'N'.So the scheduled data is lost..Even if we try for Drillfilters in detail Report we cannot set it at runtime using open document Url.

On my page based on the pageflowscope variable value, i need to add a row for master and one row for detail viewobject and set attribute values. (Some of the attribute are LOV and Checkboxes as well)
I am using following code to create records.....records are being added but i am not able to set the attributes

Yes commit button is there and yes its also has entry in pagedef...
When I open the same page on edit mode and i can edit regular record and save them
Problem is that when i open the page on new mode and try to add rows on page load..... and setting values as described above.... save button somehow doesn't work...
seems like after i add the rows on the fly, i need to refresh the binding?
any help is greatly appreciated....

Using prepared statements to set order by

I just wanting to confirm and see how people handle this. I have and java String sql statement that I have added an order by.
String sql = ".... order by ?"
ps = con.prepareStatement(sql);
ps.setString(1,sortBy);
This would allow me to have one sort method in my DAO and just pass in what column I want to sort by. But I can't seem to get this to work. I'm guess it has something to do with how the setString works.

james, once you click on a column heading to do a user defined sort (e.g. click on column 3) you have set a 'user preference' for the sort order on that report. As long as your 'user preference' persists in the system, you will not get your default sort order back. You can click on col1, but that will only sort on column 1.<br><br>You can remove the user preference by creating a process that does session state management and selecting 'Reset Preferences (remove all preferences for current user)'....but -be carefull-, this resets all user preferences, not just for the report you are working with.<br><br>You could also have 2 report regions that are on oposit conditions (default sort vs. user sort) and not make the columns in the default sort user selectable.<br><br>"You could call APEX_UTIL.SET_PREFERENCE and set the preference value to null. How to set a default value for particular field in SRM PO Portal

Dear Gurus,
Im desparetly need a help in web dynpro on how to set a default value for a field(flag) in PO header tab in portal.
My requirement is whenever the user press the edit button in PO screen,automatically a flag field should be set as abap_false.
I dont think this will handle in check badi or change badi. i tried this part in onbuttonpressed overwriteexit in CNR_VIEW views,i can get the function EDIT in debugging mode,but dont know how to proceed further.....
Many of them suggested to go with get attribute and set attribute for changing any particular field in web dynpro,but im not very familiar in using those get and set attributes.I request you people can give me sample code on how to identify my target field in the node and set the values while pressing EDIT Button.

I'm wondering if you can use a formula field as the default value of a parameter. I have an date parameter that is being pulled from a stored procedure. When I run the report, it defaults to the current date and time. I would like it to default to he current date and have the time be 00:00:00

Unfortunately, you cannot use a formula field as the default value of the parameter.
And, to get rid of the current time and show 00:00:00, all you need to do is Edit the parameter and set the 'Default Value' to 00:00:00. This will take care of the time portion, however the date portion would be set to the year 1899 and not the current date.

While setting the value, it is giving me this warning in the logs :-
*<FacesCtrlListBinding> <getInputValue> ADFv: Could not find selected item matching value Shah of type: java.lang.String in the list-of-values*.
I know that the Shah is not present in the List but how do i clear the list and set the New Value which is "Shah".

Is it Apple's intent that we would need two iTunes Match subscriptions? If not, how do I accomplish what I want to get done?

The problem is that all services are bundled with your Apple ID ([email protected]):
Your iCloud account (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Notes, Backups, etc.),
also iTunes & App Store purchases (Music, Movies, TV Shows, etc.),
and the iTunes Match services.
(I guess that all your devices - yours and your wife's are connected to one iTunes library, right?)
If you want that your wife gets her own iCloud account for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, etc. but gets also access to your media then you have two set up two things on her device:
iCloud (Settings > iCloud) with her account (e.g. [email protected])
and
iTunes & App Stores (Settings > iTunes & App Stores) with your account (e.g. [email protected]).
In this case she gets access to your library and could use the same iTunes Match account.
