The following function module creates an invoice automatically:
CALL FUNCTION 'CREATE_DELIV' IN BACKGROUND TASK
     EXPORTING
         i_order = vbak-vbeln.
Inside this FM CREATE_DELIV, VF01 transaction is called.
     CALL TRANSACTION 'VF01' USING bdcdata
                          MODE 'N'
                          UPDATE 'S'
                          MESSAGES INTO itab_msg.
Upon creation of the billing document (VBRK), the ERNAM / "Created By" field in VBRK is defaulted to the sy-uname. How do I code the program so that the creator of the billing document (VBRK-ERNAM) would be "DEF_USER" and not sy-uname?

This user exit is only called when the billing document is created. It is used to provide the header and the item of the new billing document with deviating or additional data.Try chnaging the user name in VBRK here.

Problems with SKIP FIRST Screen when calling a transaction variant

Hi,
I have a transaction variant of VA02 that suppresses the display of the pricing button on the conditions screen. I have created a variant transaction for called ZA02 which calls this variant of VA02.
In my program I have coded the following :-
      SET PARAMETER ID 'AUN' FIELD VBELN.
      SET PARAMETER ID 'VPO' FIELD POSNR.
      CALL TRANSACTION 'ZA02' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
I would have expected the program to display the second screen of VA02 but it displays the first screen and when I hit return key the second screen is then displayed.
I don't think I need VPO setting but when I code
      SET PARAMETER ID 'AUN' FIELD VBELN.
      SET PARAMETER ID 'VPO' FIELD POSNR.
      CALL TRANSACTION 'VA02' AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN.
VA02's second screen is displayed
Any help as to how to Skip this first screen with ZA02 would be greatly appreciated

Yes you are right Reg thanks for that.
But it appears that VA02 doesn't require it setting anyway. I changed the PID to APO and indeed I've even commented the line out, but my program goes to the second screen when calling VA02 but stays on the first screen when calling ZA02 .

Lag when calling BLS Transaction from within another

Using MII 12.0.
In MII class, they told us a "best practice" was to check the "Reload Transaction after Execution" box in the configuration of a Transaction call within a BLS. The reasoning behind it was that should this not be checked, a previous result of that called BLS transaction would still be cached in memory and used instead of the newly assigned values from within your calling BLS.
Checking the "Reload transaction after Execution" box forces MII to reload that transaction when it is called.
In time analysis, what has been noticed is that there's a significant - up to 9 seconds - lag time when one BLS calls another BLS. On a time-sensitive operation, that is an eternity. That amount of overhead defeats any hope of using common code libraries.
Questions -
1. Is this a true "best practice", or is it one that adds unnecessary overhead to a BLS?
2. If the calling BLS executes 1 time - but is subject to be executed multiple times over a certain interval - is checking the Reload box of the BLS it is calling unnecessary?
3. Even if you pass new data each time you call that BLS, is it still going to use/return whatever data it has cached until the cache expires?
4. Is there another way to ensure that the called BLS uses the data you pass it (and returns the corresponding result set) without incurring the amount of overhead that we have noted?

The version we're on is 12.0.6 Build 13, and moving to 12.1 (something I am not directly involved in). In this version, I'm not seeing the menu options you describe, so it's apparently in 12.1 or later.
The issue we are having if the "Reload transaction after execution" box is not selected is indeed caching of values.
For example -
BLS1 runs every 5 minutes
BLS2 is called from BLS1, and in this case, retrieves error log info from a table - a common module used by several BLS's.
BLS3 is also called from BLS1, and in this case, writes to an error log using information retrieved from BLS2 from within the execution of BLS1. BLS2 & BLS3's calls are in 2 separate sequences, one after the other.
If BLS2 & BLS3 DO NOT have the "Reload Transaction after execution" checked, each will run with whatever the cached data in memory is for them, even though inside BLS1 I am assigning values to the input of BLS1 to send to BLS2, and passing the returned data from BLS2 into BLS3. Unless it's checked, BLS2 & BLS3 would continue to be called, however, it would be with whatever data has been cached for them.
If that "Reload" switch is checked, it will reload each transaction & call it with whatever data is being passed.
This was mentioned in the MII class I was in also. This is a generalization, but the way they described it was being similar to how you might save a web page to your local PC, and that unless that page is refreshed & changed, that from that point on, every time you brought up your saved web page, it would always display the same values in it. They didn't go into great deal to explain the mechanics of it, but MII would only load it the first time it executed, and that unless you forced it (by checking the Reload switch), it would always execute using the same cached values no matter what you were passing.

Netscape 7 replaces form window when calling reports

Netscape 7.0, unlike Netscape 4.7 does not handle forms application that calls on Reports to display Report preview in PDF.
When our forms call reports to display a report to the user in the browser, the window on which the form screen is presented is replaced by the window which brings up adobe reader to display the report.
IE 5.5, Netscape 4.7 work fine.
Is there a configuration which must be set in Netscape or in the forms code to direct the browser to open a separate window to receive reports output?

This should do it. In Forms9i this built-in is able to call out to javascript, giving you even more control over the window you use it in.

Missing permission when calling sap transaction via composer

we have created a complex model. in this model some sap transaction are called.
With Administrator rules everything is working fine.
but when portal role is assigned to a normal user, only real composer parts are working and all url ivew calling an sap transaction are failing.
where do I have to adjust permission ?

i guess you're calling the "pcd:portal_content/com.sap.portal.migrated/ep_5.0/templates/com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.bwc.TransactioniView" with some parameters (system, tcode, etc.). You have to add this iview to your models role (our change the permissions of the iview). To hide in the navigation, edit the iview preference: com.sap.portal.navigation.Invisible (German: Unsichtbar in Navigationsbereichen) -> change it only in the role->iview, do not change it in the iview itself.

Program terminates without error when called thru transaction

Hi experts,
I have to simple program extracting FI information for an external program.
The program itself works perfectly, but when my users call the program through a transaction code, in the production environment it just terminates. No errors, no dump. There's nothing in SU53 and if the same user starts the program using SE80 it runs straight thru.
What am I missing? where can I go to see any kind of logs of why my program terminates?
Any pointers would be wonderful.

LOAD_PROGRAM_NOT_FOUND when calling transaction in ECC6 from CRM3.0

Very new to CRM so would appreciate any assistance here.
We have a CRM 3.0 system and have recently replaced the old 4.7 R3 system with ECC6 The ECC6 system has a different logical system name to the old 4.7 system. We have created a new RFC destination, a new logical system name, linked then in BD97 etc as per note 363097.
We then changed the logical system names in the action boxes to the new logical system.
When we call the transactions in the new system it shortdumps in the destination system with LOAD_PROGRAM_NOT_FOUND and the program it is trying to load is as follows.
/1ISU/ENMD4MAND300ZMK00000VA21. This program name is what it tries to call when we want to call VA21 in the R3 system. It is prefixing the transaction code with language, source logical system and action box configuration name. You can change the transaction code to VA23 and the program name it dumps on becomes /1ISU/ENMD4MAND300ZMK00000VA23.
Can anyone explain why it is doing this and what we can do to fix it?

Hi Liegh,
Even i was facing similar problem of Load_Program_not_found. For this you can check the program name in your queus, which will give the name of the program which is not active, then check the same program in your debugging process above.

I've installed the SOAdemo a couple of times on local machines, and it works fine. Now I've deployed the SOADemo on a separate server and a strange error occurs in BPEL when testing the SOADemo.

Eliminating logon when calling R/3 transaction via BSP

Is it possible to eliminate logon when calling SAP R/3 tcode via BSP. I run
http://<FQDN>:<port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/!?client=%3c100%3e&transaction=SE80
but have to login each time. I could embed my username/pwd on the url string, but is there another method?
I also thought about using the URL iView parameters (Mapped User, Mapped Password) within Property Editor, but content admins will be able to see username and password when opening the iview. Any suggestions?

Error when Calling Transaction in ABAP Proxy

Hi All,
I'm trying to call a transaction in synchronous ABAP Proxy, but there's a CNTL_ERROR in the details of SXMB_MONI.
I've checked some threads related to this problem, but they're not solved yet.
Please advise, can I use "call transaction" in synchronous ABAP Proxy ? Is there any additional setting / code to prevent the error ?

I'm trying to assign marketing attributes in our CRM Business Partner Transaction, which is triggered by messages sent from some 3rd party application.
Recently, I find out that this transaction (TCode BP) raise the same error (CNTL_ERROR) if run background from SM35. So the problem is not about calling transaction in ABAP Proxy, but due to the TCode BP itself.......
My ABAPER friend is trying to find the BAPI to replace this call transaction .........

Set the default field value to transaction code field, when calling from WD

Can we pass the value in a input field of a standard transaction calling from WD application. Suppose we are calling a transaction VA03 in an external window, then how will be pass the value in the VBAK_VBELN screen field.
Is there any way to pass the value to this transaction field. I have also tried out to set the parameter ID 'AUN' for VA03 transaction VBELN field. But it did not work for me.
Is there any way to set the default field value to transaction code field, when calling from WD?
Please suggest, if anyone have any idea.

I encountered this error while trying ADF tutorial CH10 - Developing an Edit Page, after changing some data on the Edit page and click on Save, the error appears on top of the page. The roll back was called implicatly by ADF, per stack trace msg it seems to come from failing to commit and then failing to roll back. Not sure why this is happening, please advise.

We are testing our environment with a very simple process with only one interactive activity that is associated to an screenflow that has a presentation of a BPM Object. We have tested this process in Studion 6.0.2 and Enterprise StandAlone 6.0.2 and the activity associated with the screenflow runs OK, but when we test it in Enterprise 6.0.2 for Websphere it crashes when calling this activity. It has a problem with the loading of the object classes.
Try to export the full process (so don't use "publish for enterprise");
perhaps it will work then.

Now, when I am using http://<<server>>:50000/XMII/SOAPRunner/TAG_TRX to create a Enterprise Service in SAP (i.e. SE80 transaction-> Create Enterprise Service-> Service Consumer-> URL/HTTP Destination-> URL ... I am getting following error.
Incorrect value: Entity "<<document>>"(5 /93 ). unexpected symbol: '<'
But, whenever I am using the same URL in MII BLS, it does not give any error. It correctly shows all input and output parameters.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

Now, I am able to create the Web Service in SAP and it is now showing the respective class, attribute and methods to execute this web service (web service to call MII transaction).
But when I am calling it from ABAP (a simple Web Dynpro for ABAP method), it is showing me the following error:
Error (id=GET_BUSINESS_SYSTEM_ERROR): An error occurred when determining the business system (LD_ERROR)
Thought this error is coming from ABAP program, but I am sure that this is related to some configuration at SAP level. (Let me inform you that there are two different servers for SAP Web Dynpro ABAP and SAP MII.
Please help.
