Replace title with contents in h1 tag

I am using the find and replace function with regular
expression to update the text between

with the text between

.
I have the regular expression
"
(<%=PageTitle%>)((.|)((.|\n)*)(
)([A-Za-z0-9.\s]+)(
)" which can find all the code from the

to the
. I used the following code at the
replace textbox: "
$5$2$4$5$6"
Because some of the content are template and nothing happens
after the replace.
Anyone has any good ideas to help me implement that? I have
thousands of pages need to do.
Thank you very much

I am not really replace any the template text. I just replace
the title text with $5, and the rest keep what they were.
Thanks

• Content Server pcs tags

I am just wondering who among you have already come across with combining jsp variables with content server pcs tags. Just to give you a scenario,I would like to access a folder but the folder name is in jsp variable. How could I access the title through a pcs tag. Any idea?Thanks.

One approach I have used in the past is to have a dummy field on a content item which is the selection list. I make the field multi-select, and then check the content item out, select all the possible values in the selection list and check the item back in.
Then, in your presentation template, you can use foreach on that property on the content item, which will loop through all the selected values.
... very ugly, but does the job :-)

• How can I remove all content between two tags using Find/Replace regular expressions?

This one is driving me bonkers... I'm relatively new to regular expressions, but I'm trying to get Dreamweaver to remove all content between two tags in an XML document. For example, let's say I have the following XML:
<custom>

Some text

Some more text

</custom>
I'd like to do a Find/Replace that produces:
<custom>
</custom>
In essence, I'd like to strip all of the content between two tags. Ideally, I'd like to know how to strip the CDATA content as well, to return the following:
<custom>

</custom>
I'd much appreciate any suggestions on accomplishing this.
Many thanks!

Thanks much for your response. I found David's article to be a little thin with respect to examples using quantifiers in coordination with the wildcard metacharacters; however, I was able to cobble together a working expression through trial and error using the information he presented. For posterity, here’s the solution:
Find:
<custom>[\d\D]*?</custom>
Replace:
<custom>

</custom>
I believe this literally translates to:
[] = find anything in this range/character class
\d = find any digit character (i.e. any number)
\D = find any non-digit character (i.e. anything except numbers)
*? = match zero or more times, but as few times as possible (i.e. match multiple characters per instance, but only match one instance at a time, or none at all)
I’m still not sure how to effectively utilize the . wildcard. For example, the following expression will not find content that ends with a number:
<custom>.*?[\D]*?</ custom >
I'm presuming this is because numbers aren't included in the \D metacharacter; however, shouldn't numbers be picked up by the .*? expression?

• [CS5-5.5][JS] Replace xml element content with user selection

Hi,
I'm trying to write a script that replaces xml element content with a user selection.
I have document containing a textframe with a "root" tag attached. In this frame I have 2 paragraphs, each tagged with a different tag.
I would like to replace the content of one of the paragraphs with the content of a text selection.
This piece of code doesn't seem to work:
myXMLElement.xmlContent = app.selection[0];
The problem is that almost all properties of the xmlelement (paragraphs, words, etc) are read-only.
Does anyone have any suggestion?
Thanx

It depends on whether you want to maintain formatting. You can use
myXMLElement.contents = app.selection[0].contents;
in the (unlikely?) event that you don't mind blowing away the formatting. Otherwise you'll want to use something like:
myXMLElement.xmlContent.remove();
app.selection[0].duplicate(LocationOptions.AT_BEGINNING, myXMLElement.xmlContent);

• I recently had my hard drive replaced and now iTunes won't allow me sync my iPhone without deleting all the media contents and replacing it with the existing library. Is there another way without erasing everything?

I have already backed up my iPhone, yet it still will not allow me to move the contents of my phone onto my computer. Rather, it wants to delete everything off of my phone and replace it with the contents on my iTunes. Is there a way I can integrate both my iTunes and iPhone? There used to be autofill on iTunes, but I can no longer find it.

• Acrobat Pro X Replaces Document Title with File Name

We process many Microsoft Word Documents into PDF. Whether or not this is the correct way to process them we use the new "Action" previously a Batch Process.
We require our documents to open "Full Width" so we run the created Action which converts the Word files to PDF and sets them to open width.
In the previous version of Acrobat (9) this worked fine. But the current version strips the document title out of the Word document and replaces it with the file name in the PDF. eg. If the title of the document set in the properties of world.doc is "Changing the world", when the action created the PDF its stripped and replaced with "world.doc"
This of course means that we must now take the time to change the title of each document so that the search engine on our intranet can correctly list it. As you can imagine a time consuming process, which until this update never had to be done.
Alternatively is there a better way to convert large numbers of Word documents to PDF that will keep all of this information intact?
Many thanks
Murray

Actions are not really intended for that type of work:
Actions allow a complex, guided series of events to be applied to a single file, usually with some user interactivity. They can be run over and over but usually only process one file at a time. In the example we show based on redaction, this guided interactivity is essential as only a human can decide what to redact in each document.
Batch processing applies a standard set of events to a series of files, usually without any user interactivity beyond selection and filename choices.
What happens when you try and run your Acrobat 9 batch sequence in Acrobat X?

• Problem replacing chart axis title with &string. syntax

Apex 4.1.1
Hi,
I am having a problem replacing a chart axis title with substitution syntax &P5_MYFIELD., where P5_MYFIELD is an item with Source Type PL/SQL Function Body:
begin
return web_message.show('LASTNAME', 'dk');
end;
The Item is defined on the same Page as the chart in a different region. I can see that function is working ok, because the return value is displayed in P5_MYFIELD.
There is a second item in an other region on the same page where the source value is defined with substitution syntax &P5_MYFIELD. It also displays the expected value. But when I use the string &P5_MYFIELD. as axis title it is not displayed.
I also defined a field P0_MYFIELD on Page Zero with the same function, when I reference that with &P0_MYFIELD. as axis title on Page 5 the value is displayed correctly. I tried the same with a field on Page 1, &P1_MYFIELD. and it is displayed correctly.
I think, the chart axis title must be substituted before the item P5_MYFIELD is executing the PL/SQL function body to get its value. Can anyone tell me why?
We want to use string substitution syntax to translate all our labels in different languages. I would like to create hidden items with source type PL/SQL function body for all labels on a page and reference these values as label definitions. I would like to place them on the same page as the labels.
Thanks
Anne

I started the application again and now also the Items are not displayed, only the message 'Label not defined', so I probably did something wrong with the computation. Why the correct values were shown during the first run, I do not know, maybe i did not logout in between.
Here is the debugging information, but I cannot see any error message:

Now the correct value is displayed again in the P5_MYFIELD, because I had to set the item source back to PL/SQL Function body, but I am still getting the chart error and the chart is not displayed.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.

If so, not good, then you may be able to purchase third party software to extract the music from your iphone. This is not supported by Apple.

• Replacing Window Title with other value

Hi to everyone
Can anyone tell me how can I replace the window title with other values...for example with active record...mean client name should appear instead of window title.
Thanks in advance

Here is the code I use from a simple form. You can see it handles three separate environments, Client/Server, Web separate frame, and Web inside browser window.
I like to remove the "Oracle Forms Runtime" from the main window, only in Client/Server, you cannot remove the brackets. So you are left with - [ Your Title ]Here is the code. It can be put into either the Pre-Form or When-New-Form-Instance trigger. But note that once you do this, EVERY form must set its title, or the one you set last will show up on all your subsequent forms:
DECLARE
WINDOW_ID        WINDOW := FIND_WINDOW('WINDOW0');
WTitle           Varchar2(100) := 'My Test Form';
BEGIN
Set_Window_Property(Window_Id,Window_State,Maximize);
If Get_Application_Property(User_Interface) = 'WEB' then
--Web forms: set MDI title, erase W0 title.
Set_Window_Property(Window_Id,Title,' ');
Set_Window_Property(Forms_MDI_Window,Title,' ' || WTitle);
--- Check if running SeparateFrame=False (form within browser)
If get_window_property(forms_mdi_window,title) is null then
--SeparateFrame=False:  running inside browser window.
--Cannot set browser title; need to set Window0 title
Set_Window_Property(Window_Id,Title,' ' || WTitle);
end if;
Else -- client/server forms
Set_Window_Property(Forms_MDI_Window,Title,' ');
Set_Window_Property(Window_Id,Title,' '||WTitle||' ');
End if;
END;

• Having issue with XML in CDATA tag

Currently I am having a major issue that I've been dealing with for the last four days unsuccessfully. I run a search against our data provider (lets say the term searched on is 'foobar'). We get back an XML document on our server along with a list of objects that has the start index of where the hit terms are found and the length from the start of the index (our data provider calculates all of this for us). We then take that XML document in its exact state as it's given to us from our data provider and wrap it in a CDATA tag and put it into another XML document and pass that to our FLEX app. The document looks something like this coming back from the server (we're using REST). This is not the true original document as it was shortened for readability.

<Document>

<HITTERMS>
<HITTERM index="45" length="6" />

</TEXT>

</DOC></DocumentXML>
</Document>
I've confirmed the XML coming from the server looks exactly as it does above. The issue is for some reason whenever I try to get the text out of '<DocumentXML>' it formats the code in a way that won't work for me since it throws off the offsets of the hit terms and changes the original document. Whenever I do a .toString() on the XML it puts breaks before each '<' and after each '>' so it spaces everything out inside the CDATA tag. Now the XML looks like this when turned into a string:

<Document>

<HITTERMS>
<HITTERM index="45" length="6" />

</DocumentXML>
</Document>
I need to be able to keep the original document as-is in the first example so I can calculate where the hit terms are so that I can highlight them and there are things further down the road that I'm going to need to be able to do so a simple search and replace will not get the job done unfortunately. Has anyone ever encountered this before or have any idea possibly how to fix this. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help with this.

Didn't work. Now it spaces out all of the XML, not just the document wrapped in the CDATA tag. Looks like this now:

<Document>

Try reposting that with tags (replace the {'s with ['s).
Long story short, I think the FAQ and examples would go a long way towards explaining this, but you basically can check the content type, or check if the content contains parts, and parse each part separately.

• How to change inner content of HTML tag using HTMLDocument?

I want to change the inner content of an HTML tag from a HTMLDocument. The tag is like
Replace me.
So I want to change the text "Replace me" inside the span tag and replace it with an other text.
I can get the span element using
HTMLDocument.getElement("id1")
I have tried many things with the Element instance i got from getElement. But I find no way to change the inner content of the HTML element. Any ideas?

If I use JDK 1.5 the SPAN tag works, so I checked the core of the problem which is inserting HTML code in an HTML tag.
setInnerHTML works fine for block tags like DIV but not if the tag is a leaf element like the SPAN tag. I have tried to use the following code for leaf elements:
Element elem = m_htmlDocument.getElement(id);
int nStartOffest = elem.getStartOffset();
int nEndOffset = elem.getEndOffset();
int nLength = nEndOffset - nStartOffest;
m_htmlDocument.replace(nStartOffest, nLength, html, elem.getAttributes());
This works, but only if the new HTML string does not contain HTML tags like a link <href..... >. If the string contains HTML tags the replace method masks all characters like < or >. So the link is not shown as link in the HTML page but as HTML text.
The next thing I have tried is using
m_htmlDocument.setOuterHTML(elem, html);
This works too but it replaces the whole original HTML element like the SPAN tag.
So there is still the question how to insert HTML text into a leaf Element in a HTMLDocument.
