Report Builder 3.0 Category Listing

Question

.  I have a budget report assembled with user drop-down parameters of “Budget Year”, “Budget Department”, and “Departmental Category”.
The report runs just fine with a single selected “Departmental Category” but if I select multiple “Departmental Categories”  the report combines (sums) the two categories budgets. Hopefully these pics make more sense:

Hi Han,
The design seems fine. However, I found a problem in the image.
Did you modify the value in the text box for easy reading? I notice that the value in text box is not equal to field name in your dataset(Suppose you use Dataset1 as the main dataset).
Is it convenient to upload your rdl file on your OneDrive and share the link here?
Before I got the rdl file, you may create a new report and add the filter to check if it make any difference.
1. Add a Metrix.
2. Drop Department field to Columns. And right click Department column and insert column, choose inside column right.
3. Drop Category to Rows and drop x_Summary_Starting_Amount and x_Summary_xxx. It will display as [Sum(x_Summary_Starting_Amount)].
4. Suppose we have three parameters already created(either specify values manually or get values from a query). To add a filter:
a. Right-click the Matrix and choose Tablix Properties. In the Filters page, click Add button.
b. Choose [Department] in the expression, choose In in Operator and choose Department parameter in the value box.
c. Do the same to add the filter of Category parameter. Here is the result:
