Report of Header/Detail

I have a typical purchase order system which has a header file with a detail file attached to it. I need to generate a report which might look something like:
ORDER ID DATE AMOUNT DATE_EXPECTED STATUS ACCOUNT
DETAIL1 DESCRIPTION QUANTITY PRICE
DETAIL2 DESCRIPTION QUANTITY PRICE
DETAIL3 DESCRIPTION QUANTITY PRICE
ORDER ID DATE AMOUNT DATE_EXPECTED STATUS ACCOUNT
DETAIL1 DESCRIPTION QUANTITY PRICE
DETAIL2 DESCRIPTION QUANTITY PRICE
DETAIL3 DESCRIPTION QUANTITY PRICE
ORDER ID DATE AMOUNT DATE_EXPECTED STATUS ACCOUNT
DETAIL1 DESCRIPTION QUANTITY PRICE
DETAIL2 DESCRIPTION QUANTITY PRICE
DETAIL3 DESCRIPTION QUANTITY PRICE
Is this possible? To generate a report (either classic or IR) where there are 2 files - a parent and a child? I know I can use the Control Break in the Interactive Reporting but when the user exports to a PDF (using FOP), all the formatting is lost so I am back at page 1...
Using APEX 3.2.1.00.10
Oracle 11g
Thank you in advance

hi
use summary columns CS_1, CS_2, CS_3 for getting the total records fetched from the detail groups
design the paper layout as follows
R_Master (refers master group)
|____ M_Detail1
|---------|_______B_Header1
|----------------------B_No_Data1 (in format trigger return true if CS_1 > 0 else false)
|----------------------R_Detail1 (detail group1)
|____ M_Detail2
|---------|_______B_Header2
|----------------------B_No_Data2 (in format trigger return true if CS_2 > 0 else false)
|----------------------R_Detail2 (detail group2)
|____ M_Detail3
|---------|_______B_Header3
|----------------------B_No_Data3 (in format trigger return true if CS_3 > 0 else false)
|----------------------R_Detail3 (detail group3)
try this and see if it works

  • Printing PDF from Report Region - Header Details

    Hi,
I've searched around for a while but was unable to find an answer to my query.
I have a simple report region, which i added a "Print" link to the bottom of - this brings up a formatted PDF version of the report which can be printed out, i'm just using the default PDF layout.
When it comes to adding a header and footer the PDF still functions ok, but when i try to add any page items it all stops working.
I basically need the time and date to appear at the top of the report, i created a hidden field just using the PL/SQL command "SYSDATE" which does return the correct value. But when i try to add this to the header or footer in the format "This document was printed on &P1_DATE", the PDF doesn't work, and when i try to download it, IE says the filesize is 0b.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, either something i've done wrong or if there is a better method,
    Thanks in advance

    Thanks for the reply Scott,
The PDF does download when I put a fullstop after the name of the item. Unfortunatly now the PDF displays as if the item "P1_DATE" is empty, i.e. it says "This document was printed on ",
I've made P1_DATE visible and it definitly displays a date, yet the exported PDF displays nothing where P1_DATE is referenced,
    Just to confirm:
    The Item is called P1_DATE
The references i've tried are &P1_DATE. and &P1_DATE
the date is populated by the code SYSDATE
    Thanks again,
    Iain.

  • Issue in displaying header details in ALV report

    Hi,
I have used slis_t_listheader and REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE to display the header details in ALV report.I want the details to be displayed as below.
    Requester : ----------------------                                                                               Page: 1
    Program: -----------------------                                                                                Date:---------
                                                                     Title of Report
But when I use the structure slis_t_listheader to display the header details, all the fields are coming one below the other.
How can I get the fields as shown in the above format

  • Report with multiple Detail Area

    Hi All,
Please see the Report pointed to the link below:
    [Report with multiple Detail Area|http://us.share.geocities.com/felix5ac/fairway.jpg]
    Some Explanations:
    ========================
    (1) The line with "ABCDEFGH..." is variable data coming from the database in the Detail Area
    (2) The lines with "WBLNX'" "123, 123.12",
                             "WBLNX'"
are variable data associated with the same Heading: "ABCDEFGH..."
(2b) There can be multiple lines of data in the detail area (i.e. 1 or more "ABCDEFGH..." and the associated WBLNX and numbers...)
    (3) Item Code Descriptions ==> is a Header Info
    (4) ARL ... and FPHI... ==> are variable data and lines in these area can be 1 line; it can be 4 lines; it can be 10 lines...
    (5) Lines FROM "Artwork Procedures..." to the the end of the page are static.
    QUESTION:
    ===================
How do I best design these Report with the multiple detail areas? Again, please see link of the Report above...
    Thanks and Best regards,
    Felix

    Hi Felix
You can place the less detailed fields in the regular sections of the report and wherever you require multiple lines you can use the subreports.
    Hope this helps.

  • Report Row With Detail (AJAX) by Carl - How to implement?

I just had a look at Carl's example place and I'd like to implement his Report Row With Detail feature. But how, it's made up of 3 sections:
    1. a query
    2. javascript
    3. application process
The query on which the report is based and where I want this feature is:
select leverancier, artnr, vendorcode from plijst where productgroep = :p1_assortiment_tree or subgroep = :p1_assortiment_tree
A break is defined on Leverancier
I understand the query and the application process part. But where goes the Java part???

Tried to upload your example application, unfortunately it does not seem to upload properly in my APEX v2.0 environment
Can you please confirm if your example works with APEX version 2
and does the Javascript go in the Page Header or Region Header/ Footer area

  • SSRS subreport with a sub-report as header on all pages

    Hello,
I need some guidance on how to get a sub-report with a sub-report header and an expanding table. Please see below.
This is the structure of things that I have:
Main Report 1 is being invoked by ONLY Parameter 1 (User Text Box Entry).
    It Contains:
         Page 1: Sub-Report 1 invoked by Parameter 1
Page 2 or more Pages: Sub-report 2 and a table (T1) expanding vertically based on Parameter 1 and Parameter 2. The Sub-report 2 should appear as header on all pages where T1 rows are there. Additionally, multiple Parameter 2
values may be present and if so, they need to appear on a different page with appropriate header/table data. Parameter 1 and 2 are associated with a ONE dataset & its fields.
Last Page: Sub-Report 3 and few text boxes below it. Invoked by Parameter 1
The issue is I don't know how to insert Page 2 content. I tried making a new report with Sub-report 2 and the T1 below it. This is working fine but I'm not able to get the sub-report as header on all pages EXCEPT the first page. FixedData and RepeatOnNewPage
properties are TRUE & KEEPwithGroup is set to 'AFTER'. Also, once I'm done with this report how do I insert it in the main report. Would it be in group / outside group in the group properties -- I would really appreciate if you can guide me with steps.
    Thank you,
    Nichesl
    Nichesl

    Thanks Asha ,
Actually this is how my Report  layout is
    Group Header
    ---Detail1
    ---Detail2
    ---Detail3
Group Footer1 (New Page After and Show at Bottom Setting)
Group Footer 2 (New Page Before Setting)
This is the layout of my report.
When Details and Group Footer1 come in same page then my Group Header works perfect.
When there are many details then the Group Footer1 skips into next page and Group Header does not show up in that page.
Our requirement is such a way that Group Footer1 should have Group Header and Group Footer2 should always come in new page (i.e. last Page)
I think I made it clear on my issue/requirement.
Again I really appreciate for your reply.
    Regards

  • Report with Summary & Detail - Exporting to PDF in Crystal Report

    Hi,
I am using Crystal Reports XI (release 2). I am trying out a report with Summary and Detail sections.
    Requirement:
    1.     Report should display both Summary and Detail Sections
    2.     Summary section should be displayed first followed by Detail Section
    3.     A field in summary section should have a hyperlink to Detail Section
    4.     On clicking the hyperlink the user should be navigated to the corresponding detail record
    5.     User should be able to download the whole report as a single PDF (i.e., both summary and detail together)
    Implementation in Crystal Report:
This feature could be implemented using
    a.     Linked On Demand Sub report
    b.     Using Hide (Drill down ok) option
    c.     Hyperlinks
    Issue Faced:
I used the on demand sub report option. When i clicked on the sub report (hyperlink), the details get displayed. But the details get displayed in separate viewer and hence when we export to PDF both summary and detail are not getting exported together. User has to select each detail report and export to PDF. Is this a limitation in CR XI? - proprietary Crystal Report features, such as drill-down and on-demand subreports, are supported only in the native Crystal Report format. These special features are ignored when exporting a report to a non-Crystal format like pdf.
Is there any workaround for exporting both the summary and detail (in subreport) as a single PDF file?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Viji.

    Hi
Hyperlink would not be a solution to what you are asking for.
If you want to see the records related to a particular employee id by clicking on emp id, you can try the below:
    - Apply a group on employee id on the main report.
    - Insert a subreport with the required fields and place it on the Employee id Group header. You can put a name of the subreport as "Check Employee details" or something else as per requirement and make it a on demand subreport.
    - Link the subreport on Employee id.
    Hope this helps!!!

  • Total column not changed between header & detailed screen

I have a report with header data contains contracts information and detailed data contains orders, debit credit memo related to the contracts.  I write the report using CL_SALV_TABLE to display  contract value, usage  in full ALV_GRID. When I double click on a contract line, it will go to the second screen to show all orders related to that contract.  The second screen with orders information will be in a screen on a container with all standard function ( Export list to Excel, Word format etc..), sort, total and sub total) and a push button to go back to first screen.
The report works fine but when I am on the second screen, I total and sub total the amount on that screen in order to check with total value in header record and it total up correctly by currency.
But when I go back to the first screen, select a different contract record,  double click on the line to get to the order info screen,  all order data display correctly except that the total column still show amount from the previous detailed screen.  If I select the column again and click the total, it will total correctly.   I did refresh the data in the screen before go back to first screen but it does not solve the problem.
DOES ANYONE HAVE A SIMILAR SYMPTON LIKE THIS?
    Thanks for your advice.
On the order detailed screen, I create a container with screen 100 and write PAI, PBO like this:

  • ALV list Header details scattered

    Hi All,
I have a ALV-LIST report output but the header details displayed are scattered in output. Can you suggest how to align all deatils properly aligned.

    Hi again,
    1. first of all how are u writing / displaying
       the alv header ?
    2. using documentary write ?
then also, u can use one variable of
length 100 and use this concept.
    3. If u are using top_of_page
      event,
in this event, WE CAN use WRITE.
(i have used it, and it
      works fantastic)
(not in case of alv grid)
    4. My point is, what ever u are using,
use on variable of length 100.
      WRITE value INTO variable.
      using offset
      and then proceed further.
    regards,
    amit m.

  • Portal Header details to be added

    Hi,
In the SAP GUI, in a report program, I'm creating a URL by calling the function module CALL_BROWSER. I'm calling the report program in Portals. In the report program, when I call the URL, the URL should appear with Portal header details.
When the call is made from portals, is it possible to get the Portal Header details in the BSP page which I'm calling from the Report program.
    Thanks & Regards
    G.Raja

    Hi!
With EP60 you should use the Portal URL instead of the backend url.
The Portal URL points to the Portal iView with a URL like this: http://<portalserver>:<port>/irj/portal/?NavigationTarget=ROLES%3A%2F%2Fportal_content%2Fyour.folder%2Fyour.sub.folder%2Fcom.your.iview
    Hope this helps.
