Report on capitalised and additional to fixed assets
Hi all,
Is there a report in Asset Accounting that shows existing assets together with the additional acquisitions made on the existing assets? The report should show clearly these 2 different amounts.
I have gone through some reports but they all show the combined amounts...therefore, it is very difficult to break down these amounts into initial and subsequent acquisition amounts.
Thanks for your help,
Nas

Parallel ledgers and currencies in Fixed Assets
Hi all,
I have a difficult scenario in Fixed asset related to parallel ledgers and parallel currencies. This is the one.
We have
Area 01-1- Loc Cur-L1
Area 06-0- Grp Cur (takes values from 01)
Area 30-3-Loc Cur-L2
Area 31-0-Grp Cur (takes values from 30)
Area 33-6- L1 This area is derived from 30-01
The issue here is that when I post for example a retirement. First with ABAVN values from area 01 are posted to every ledger. If I check the posted document and I have the values of area 01 in local currency column and the values in area 06 and in group currency column. But, when I run ASKBN to post area 33 which is the difference between 30 and 01, the local currency value is correct (30-01) but the group currency amount is not correct. This value in group currency is not 31-06, is the local value multiplied by the Exch Rate at the retirement date.
How to do to have the group currency in a derived area as the difference of the group áreas which are related to the original one (31-06 in my case)?
I hope my question is clear!!
Thanks a lot, Iu2019m complete lost.
Adela.Dear Adela.
1 - Define Currencied for Leading Ledger Like: Group/Index what ever you want.
SPRO >> Financial Accounting (New) >> Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) >>> Ledger >> Define Currencies of Leading Ledger
2 - Maintain Group Currency in Non Leading Ledgers
SPRO >> SPRO >> Financial Accounting (New) >> Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) >>> Ledger Define and Activate Non-Leading Ledgers
3 - Assign Non Leading Ledger to your Dep Area
SPRO >> Asset Accounting >> Asset Accounting (Lean Implementation) >> Organizational Structures >> Depreciation Areas >> Define How Depreciation Areas Post to General Ledger

Hi All,
I have a customer who has many company databases and is running Fixed Assets.
They want to be able to print and file asset schedules after each depreciation run for each company.
The current version does not allow printing of the Asset History Sheet, and exporting to Excel adds a lot of extra work to get page breaks and company names on each report.
Has anyone developed a query for this report? I would like to solve their issue by use of a query and a print layout for them
ThanksIs this a US customer running the SAP Fixed Assets add-on? I hope not becuase that add-on is not supported by SAP in the US

Purchase Order and Fixed Asset Module.
Hi all,
I want to print my purchase order of fixed asset for record purposes. But the thing, I can't link purchase order or any of A/P documents to my fixed asset.
Meaning, if A/P invoice has been added into the system, it will not update my fixed asset master data.
Therefore, I have to use PO for printing, since there's no way to print Fixed Acquisition as a document. By doing this, i need to maintain both Item Master Data and Fixed Asset Master Data with Fixed Asset items, which i find tedious.
Is there a solution for this, like perhaps there's a way to copy info from PO to FA acquisition, or Posted A/P Invoice that contains Fixed Asset item will be linked to FA Acquisition, or perhaps there's a way to print FA Acquisition (like a PLD) that i am not aware of?
Please do help.
Thanks upfront!
Rgrds,
Kevin
Edited by: Kevin Lau Sieh Huo on May 20, 2008 7:25 AMHi Kevin,
I am afraid to inform you that the print layout function is not
supported for Fixed asset transactions such as acquisition.
As you mentioned, if you want to use it as PO document, you will need to create PO in business one since no integration is realized between Purchasing in business one and acquisition in Fixed asset addon.
If you think this will have critical impact on your business process, please post your requirement in our SAP Business One Product Development Collaboration.

Hi experts,
I did a acquisition with vendor through fixed assets add-on but I cannot see the particular invoice when I run the Purchase Analysis report(by Purchase Invoice)? So the report is inaccurate.
Why the fixed assets add-on is not linked with SAP standard modules? or I missed out some important settings?
Please advice.
Thank you.The addon will create a journal but not an AP Invoice to the vendor.
If you want to see an invoice, create a service invoice to the vendor where the GL account is your defined Fixed Assets clearing account, then do your acquisition without vendor to the clearing account. -
SAP fixed asset add-on. Not able to import master data using upload pgm.
Hi all,
I am trying to import fixed asset master data using an excel file into sap B1 2007a patch level 42. I am able to run the import transaction. It tries to process and then giving me a message ' Import end: Number of successfully imported assets: 0. Number of processed assets:2. We have looked at the event log file and couldn't find anything related to the upload. I have gone through other posts and didn't face this issue. Any hellp is apreciated.
Path which I am using to upload the fixed asset master master data: Administration --> Setup --> fixed asset --> import fixed asset master data.
Following points (see below) also taken into account while creating the master data sheet.
also replaced the ',' in the csv file to ';' before uploading and changed the fixed asset mode to 'transfer' in the administration --> system initialization > company detaills> basis initialization.
Thanks
Johnson zavier
Mandatory: Item Code = Asset Class; this Asset Class must be previous defined in the Asset Settings (don't change/delete anything in the item-master data - there are the Asset Classes Z-00u2026. Are stored
Description = Description of this Asset
Capitalization Date = do it like this (YYYY-MM-DD). This columne must be a text format
APC = Aquisition/Procuction Cost; when you have digits after coma please use dot for separation - don't use thousand separators; Example 23444.45
Quantity = only mandatory, when you use the same assets stored under one asset number. Example you have ten equal chairs, so you can handle this with one asset number and quantity ten
Dep01 = Depreciation area; this entry must be previous defined in the Asset Settings
Depr Start date 01 = do it like this (YYYY-MM-DD). This columne must be a text format. The beginning must be the first of the month. Please compare it in this case with the capitalization date
Useful Life 01 = calculated in months (not years)
Remaining Life 01 = calculated in months (not years)
Depr Type 01 = Depreciation Type must be previous defined in the Asset settings
Ordinary Depr 01 = ordinary depreciation; this is the comulated value you can see in the asset history sheet from the old asset solution. When you have digits after coma please use dot for separation - don't use thousand separators; Example 23444.45
Unplanned Depr 01 = unplanned/extraordinary depreciation; this is the comulated value you can see in the asset history sheet from the old asset solution. When you have digits after coma please use dot for separation - don't use thousand separators; Example 23444.45
SpDpAcc1 01 = Special depreciation account; when you use special depreciations and you have it to balance on special accounts fill in this account. This is an exeption - in normal projects not needed
SpDpKey2 01 = Special depreciation; when you use special depreciation you have to enter this cumulative value in this field. This is an exeption in normal projects not needed
SpDpAccu2026 = for further special depreciation accounts; This is an exeption
SpDpKey.. = for furhter special depreciation values; This is an exeption
Optional: Vendor Code = when using this please be aware that the vendor code is previous defined in the system
all others = you can use if you want. The only limitation is the type/length of these fields
When you are ready with your entries mark from the first free row on for instance the next 20 rows than right mouse key - delete rows. This is necessary to prevent that in the background are invisible signs
After entering in this default excel all your assets, please save it as .csv file. (the grey message - relation to information of csv - please say yes; when you close than excel a furhter message - would you save.. - please say no now
After entering all data please save it as .CSV file. First grey window (format information) please choose 'yes'. Second window (when you close this file) please choose 'no'.
You have now a .csv file in hands right now for uploading into the fixed assets.
This example you can use for a test-import based on the year 2004The issue was because of the conflict of Depr. Start Date, Use Life and Remaining Life. After I corrected the data, it worked just fine. The note 876670 helped me to resolve this issue. Thanks to Adam at Toronto SAP Business one support for his expert analysis and suggestions.

I have created Fixed assets Report , but our auditors would like to see separate Prior YTD Depr in separate column and current book Depr in separate column , right now Prior year YTD depr amd Currrent year depr showing in column Amount Curreny column,
but I would like to show that amount in net column and Current book depr by each to accum and show in where I have $ 710.95 amount , can some one help me how can I change my query to come up what I am looking for, I really need to fix this for
our auditors, and donot to show the details by each month, any help will be really appreciated, you guys are so good, I wish I know more about Sql,
my Query is below
SELECT ASSETTABLE.NAME, ASSETTABLE.ASSETTYPE, ASSETTABLE.QUANTITY, ASSETTABLE.UNITOFMEASURE, ASSETTRANS.TRANSTYPE, ASSETTRANS.ASSETID,
ASSETTRANS.TRANSDATE, ASSETTRANS.DIMENSION2_, ASSETTRANS.AMOUNTMST, ASSETTRANS.ASSETGROUP, ASSETTRANS.DATAAREAID,
ASSETTABLE.UNITCOST
FROM ASSETTABLE INNER JOIN
ASSETTRANS ON ASSETTABLE.ASSETID = ASSETTRANS.ASSETID
WHERE (ASSETTRANS.DATAAREAID = N'AR1') AND (ASSETTRANS.TRANSDATE >= @Paramfromdate) AND (ASSETTRANS.TRANSDATE <= @Paramtodate)
thanks in advanceI don't think I understand exactly what the ask is. What field allows you to distinguish between prior year and current depreciation? TRANSTYPE?
I think your data is fine. I would suggest using a Matrix instead of a table. Just set the column group to group on the field that distinguishes between current and prior year depreciation. Add all of the rest of your column outside the column group so they
are only scoped by your row group(s). You can add those columns either before or after your column group columns.
If you have a lot of work into your report already and don't want to create a new matrix which will require you to recreate the work already done on your table. you can convert the existing table to a matrix as described in this technet wiki article:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/21184.ssrs-converting-between-tablix-controls-matrix-table-list.aspx

Standard T-code of Fix Asset report which shows Quanity and Value
Hi friends,
Is it any T-code in SAP which shows Fix Asset with quality and value.
regards
Hemant MauryaHi,
All standard SAP asset reports show values for Eg.S_ALR_87011990. To display quantity you may create a sort variant with quantity as one of the fields through S_ALR_87009120. You can then run the above report i.e. S_ALR_87011990 with this sort variant to display quantities also along with values.

Fixed Asset Importation Issue (Capitalisation Date)
Hello experts,
I have an issue regarding fixed asset importation.
I've import the fixed asset master data correctly in the system, with it's correct capitalisation date, APC, depreciation cumulative value and everything else correctly in the master data. Under Administration --> Data Import/Export --> Data Import --> Import Fixed Asset Master Data from Microsoft Excel.
However, where the issue is, it's now on the fixed asset history sheet, where the capitalisation date, is defined as the first date of the fiscal year "01/01/2014". Where by none of these assets were purchased on that date. But everything else on the report is correct except the capitalisation date.
Due to this issue, it is hard to explain how an asset was purchased on 01/01/2014, which have a use full life of 4 years, has depreciate completely in 2015. But if I check in its master data, I find out the capitalisation date is like in 6 years ego.
Note: I'm using SAP Business One 9.0 PL11
Any suggestion, comment or help is highly appreciated.
Best Regards,
Cedric KayitareHi Cedric,
Capitalization date won't change it self after import. Check your import sheet which capitalization date you have enter. you need to execute fiscal year change and then import sheet.
If you have capitalization date for different years then you should have all period created and then year transfer.
In that case you will have to run depreciation from SAP for all corresponding year.
Post your sheet with heading for more understanding.

Matrix report with dynamic and fixed columns
Hi all,
I have a matrix report which has dynamic as well as few fixed columns.
It is a fixed asset Report in which the sum(cost) in cell should be grouped according to column and row-wise.
The row consists of the activity such as additions, retirements etc and the dynamic column is the category and other fixed columns such as CIP cost, CWIP cost will be grouped only according to row.
the actual layout should be like this
| category 1 | category 2 | category 3 ...... | CIP cost | CWIP cost
Additions | Sum(cost) | Sum(cost) | Sum(cost) .......| 1234 | 4500
retirements | Sum(cost) | Sum(cost) | Sum(cost) .......| 1000 | 2500but due to fixed colums in the layout the report builder pushes the fixed colums to the next row with single query i get
| category 1 | category 2 | category 3 ...... |
Additions | Sum(cost) | Sum(cost) | Sum(cost) .......|
CIP cost | CWIP cost
1234 | 4500
retirements | Sum(cost) | Sum(cost) | Sum(cost) .......|
CIP cost | CWIP cost
1000 | 2500if i try to add those columns alone in a seperate query and then build the report i get the layout like this
| category 1 | category 2 | category 3 ...... |
Additions | Sum(cost) | Sum(cost) | Sum(cost) .......|
retirements | Sum(cost) | Sum(cost) | Sum(cost) .......|
CIP cost | CWIP cost

How to create crystal report for fixed assets
Hi,
I am beginner to SAP B1. I have to create crystal report on fixed assets. for the following fields I have to get data.
Fixed Asset,
Cost of Fixed asset,
Disposal of fixed asset
Scrap of fixed asset
Additional cost on fixed asset
Fixed asset cost after additional cost
Rate of fixed asset –Depreciation item cost - Percentage
Depreciation of fixed asset on item cost
write-up cost on fixed asset –write-up
Rate of fixed asset-Depreciation on write-up cost --percentage
Depreciation of fixed asset on write -up cost
Net Book value of fixed asset.
your help here is appreciated.
Thanks,
ChallaHi,
Actually they are not going to standard reports as Revaluation amount we are creating User defined fields and that needs to be fetched to the report. As well they want original cost, depreciation original cost, Revaluation amount and depreciation on revaluation separately..
As per my understand system will provide one cost and the depreciation on that.
So, can somebody help me in guiding me..
Thanks in advance.
Thanks,
Challa -
Oracle Assets Category-wise Report from FA and GL tables
Hi,
I am developing a customized report (Schedule of Fixed Assets) in the Oracle Assets Module, Which includes Category Wise Opening Balance, additions, adjustments, transfer IN, Transfer OUT and Retirements of Cost and Depreciations. I am using FA tables (FA_CATEGORY_BOOKS, FA_CATEGORIES_B) for category_id, category_name (segment1 of category combination) and book_type_code (Book Name). And I am also using GL tables (GL_BALANCES, GL_JE_HEADERS, GL_JE_LINES) for the amount of begin_balance_dr,begin_balance_cr,accounted_dr and accounted_cr.
The report gets the category_id,category_name from FA_CATEGORIES_B and book_type_code, asset_account_ccid, reserve_account_ccid and book_type_code from FA_CATEGORY_BOOKS for a single book. The sum of accounted_dr or sum of accounted_cr is calculated for a single category_id whose asset_account_ccid is matched with code_combination_id of GL_JE_LINES.
There are 15 books each have many projects (FA_CATEGORIE_B.segment6). This report is working as desired for 14 books but in one book there is same asset_account_ccid and reserve_account_ccid for more than one category_id(s). That’s why the same amount is displayed against the multiple category_ids .
As functionally it is possible in Oracle Assets to have same asset_account_ccid or reserve_account_ccid for more than one category_ids, I want to know that is there any other attribute(except asset_account_ccid,reserve_account_ccid and code_combination_id) which can be used to get the separate data for each category_id from GL tables.
Regards,
Fahim
[email protected]hi vijay,
thanks for your quick reply,
i'm preparing a reports, fields from bsis and bseg database tables,
and,my select statement giving error, saying that cluster table can't be joined,
my problem is,how to write the select statement without inner join those tables,is there any alternative,
i heard there is 'select for all entries',but i don't know proper usage of that addition,

Standard reports in Fixed Assets
Hi all,
Is there any standard report in SAP that gives the information on additions made to the asset. I looked into the report S_ALR_87011990(asset history report), it has all the information I need except for additions made and corresponding depreciation for that addition. Could anyone tell me if there is any or how do I go about this problem. Please tell me if custom report is a must in this case, also the tables where I can find this information.
Thanks in advance
