Report Progress - Report Execution

Post Author: grim_notepad

Launguage: C#Crystal Reports: 11.5-----I am running Reports in a BackgroundWorker and i want to get the status of the report being executed. Is there a report progress return value much like the one for backgroundworker. I see  in the actual Crystal Reports program there is a status of how many rows returned out of total rows.. is that information available in C#?

  • Not able to view activities in Progress Reporter

    Hi,
Iam not able to see one activity (Status of act - In Progress) in Progress Reporter on which iam assigned as a resource in Project Management.
Moreover, please suggest what all projects we can see in Progress Reporter?
Is it dependent on Project status?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I am using P6.7 sp2 Progress Reporter. When we have a number of users trying to submit timesheets, we receive the following error in the group server and then activities are no longer displayed on timesheets.
    Exception [EclipseLink-4002] (Eclipse Persistence Services - 1.1.0.r3639-SNAPSHOT): org.eclipse.persistence.exceptions.DatabaseException
Internal Exception: java.sql.SQLIntegrityConstraintViolationException: ORA-00001: unique constraint (PRIMA_PM.PK_USESSION) violated
The only way around this is to restart the group server.
    Has anyone experienced this?
    Thanks,

  • Report progress window problem

    hi all
    i use windows2000 and report 6i
my clients dont want to see report progress window
    after calling run_report(...).
is there any way to this.
    tanx.

    Hello Shoja,
You can suppress all user interaction while running a report (including the progress window) by using the batch=yes command-line parameter.
    Thanks,

  • Report Progress on Web

Any chance of the report progress screen being implemented in
    Webforms.
Users love to see something is happening when they click on a
    run report button.
If there isn't any urge for the cogs to be implemented in
Webforms is there any way I can write a java applet to monitor
    report progress?
    null

Without report progress the user does not have a chance to
    cancel the report.
Currently reports are output to the last page, is there any
chance of page by page output as in client - server.
Some of our reports are 140pg +. The user thinks the program has
    hung, then closes the application.

  • Report Formatt takes long time -- Report Progress and background engine

We invoke reports from Forms using run_report_object.
A particular report takes a long time. As soon as we invoke the report, the "Reports Progress" window shows up. Right after that The "Reports background Engine" display as Formatting Page1, 2, 3 etc. It takes a long time to get this done for a three page report.
We are using Reports 6i. Any thoughts? Is this a query performance or Report format issue?
    Thanks

Formatting page 1 often means that the query is still executing, not that the page is formatting page 1.
If the report is "Formating page 2" for a long while on a 3 page report (assuming page 2 is not another query in a different report section) it would seem that the query is passing bits of data back to the report a bit at a time.
In this case try adding the ALL_ROWS hint which forces Oracle to retrieve all rows (you optimizer may be set to first_rows)

  • CWB Run Progress Report - Not working

    Hello Gurus,
In CWB, I am unable to run Progress Report of the Plan.
System hangs upon hitting "Run Report" after selecting the Plan for which the Progress Report is to be generated. (Eventually I need to close the browser)
"BEN:CWB Plan context for reporting" is selected.
I am running this report after running Participation Process.
Can anyone help me find, where is the catch and how to solve it.
    Regards,
    Jeeva

In BI Publisher Admin, check security configuration - open Roles and Permissions and check the report folder has necessary permissions to other user group.

  • How to hide the report progress window

    hii all
i am running a report using a run_product builtin from a form but i want to hide the report progress window
    how can i do that
    thanks

    Ayman,
the only way to do this is to run teh Reports in asynchronous mode which will have it running as a background job.

  • Report Progress: RWRBE60 - Application Error

    Hi all,
I got the following error message when generating a report calling from Oracle Form & the application is hang afterwards.
Report Progress: RWRBE60 - Application Error
The exception Integer division by zero.
(0xc0000094) occurred in the application at location 0x0047abd6.
    Please help. Thank you.
    Eva

    Hi Eva:
To me it looks like a simple calculation problem in your report. You have a calculation in your report where you are dividing by a number. If that number is zero, it will give you an error.
To correct it, use the NVL function on the number column. That should solve it.
    Good luck.

  • Timesheet (Progress Reporter) Best Practices

For the consultants out there - what do you recomment as best practise for Timesheet (progress reporter) approval settings? Do you recommend Auto approval, or 1-level approval. I understand there are pro's / con's of each but what is your recommendation.
    Thanks!

It depends only on your organization's needs.
If time-sheets needs to be approved or not.
    And if yes, by who...
If you don't know... use autoapproval.
PR works of course fine without this function enabled.

  • Reporting Progress and Scores in LMS

    Hi all,
I am having some trouble incorporating my Captivate presentations into an LMS and getting it to report both progress and assessments correctly.  This could be a lengthy post, so I apologize in advance.
Let me start by including my current setups:
The desired outcome is as follows:
    Progress
    - I want to report progress up until the exam; for instance, if a user leaves midway through, on slide 15 of 30, Captivate should relaunch on slide 15 for that user
    - Once I get to the exam, users should not be able to backtrack to previous slides.
    - If the user starts the exam, but doesn't finish, it should report to the LMS whatever score was earned, counting unanswered questions as 0's.
    - Once an exam is failed, and this is the tricky part, I want the course to completely restart.  Right now, it's loading mid-exam, and if I try to go back, it chain-pauses the presentation; possibly a conflict since I have it set to not allow users to go back once the exam is started.  Essentially, once a score is reported, I want to wipe the cookie saving the progress clean.
Is there a way I can achieve all of this through Captivate?
Any help would be MUCH appreciated.  Right now, the best compromise I can come up with to check "Never Send Resume Data" and not save a users progress - but when I turn this off, it also isn't communicating the exam scores to the LMS either.
    Thanks in advance!

I can't promise that you can have everything you want, but perhaps some of your wishes are certainly doable in Captivate.
I note from your settings that you have the course Report Status set to track Complete/Incomplete rather than Pass/Fail, yet you talk about wanting the user to complete "exam" quiz questions and you also have Report Data set to Quiz Results Only.  There's something inherently contradictory about these settings. Complete/Incomplete is mostly for recording slide views. If recording quiz results is most important, I think you should really be using Pass/Fail.  It's an either/or decision. Most LMSs are far more likely to be reliable on the Pass/Fail setting and some just don't do Complete/Incomplete at all anyway.
I would also recommend you change your Report to LMS setting to Percent rather than Score.  In my experience, Percent is more LMS "friendly".
For starters, there are two mechanisms available for allowing the user to resume a course module at the same point they left off:
One option is to tick the option in TOC settings for Self-paced Learning.  This writes data to a Shared Object (Flash Cookie) on the user's PC that records the slide they finished on.  Captivate doesn't provide a means to erase this cookie out of the box.  You'd have to get some programming done in AS3 to achieve that extra functionality.
Option 2 is to untick the box in LMS Customisation Settings for Never Send Resume Data.  This then will mean the Captivate lesson DOES send resume data to the LMS.  With this option you are depending on the LMS to keep track of where your user got up to.  But be warned.  This setting is more reliable when it comes to tracking which scored object (e.g, a quiz question slide) the user got up to.  I'm not sure how reliable it is when it comes to tracking slide views because each LMS is slightly different as to it's abilities to track data. In my experience, using Self-Paced Learning is better for straight out slide view tracking, but it's also a pain when users that completed the course come back later to browse the content again because they get shunted straight to the last slide.  Quite annoying.  So I don't use it.
Now for some of your other wishes:
To prevent users backtracking to previous slides once they've reached the exam, simply disable Backward movement under Quiz Settings.  Remember that as far as Captivate is concerned, the quiz begins at the very first scored object, which might be a button or click box, not necessarily the first quiz question.
If a user only partially completes an exam, the LMS should still receive a score for each completed quiz question slide as long as you have Reporting Level set to Interactions and Score.  But be aware that this means the LMS will be getting pinged by the course after each and every user interaction, which can place quite a load on the LMS if there are lots of simultaneous users.
By default in Captivate, if a user gets a question wrong they get no score for that question.  So that one is easy.
Your final wish is to force the entire quiz to restart if the user flunks it.  I may be misunderstanding your drift but why not just allow the user multiple attempts at the quiz?  You can set this under Quiz > Settings > Pass/Fail.  Tick the box for Show Retake Quiz Button and place this button right over the top of the Review Quiz button on the Quiz Results slide.  The user will only see the Retake Quiz button if they fail the quiz and when they click it, their previous quiz answers are erased, effectively forcing them to redo the entire quiz.  Wouldn't that get you what you want?
One more thing.  Beware of the options in the drop down menu under Quiz > Settings > Required. I generally set this to Optional, as some of the other settings can cause unpredictable results with LMSs.
Hopefully this info will get you closer to your goals.

Error writing configuration settings file, please choose another location.
    please update ASAP.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Did you find a solution?
I am seeing the same problem.  PR was configured using the wizard, it is running in Weblogic, and we are following the post install guide for PR post installation tasks.
http://test101:8204/pr/admin/login brings up a request for the privileged username and password but nothing works.  This is not unexpected since per the guide, the "Configuration tab" is supposed to appear but does not.  That means that it thinks it is configured when it is not.  I have tried interrogating the files under;  D:\P6EPPM_1\pr.
I can click on "Click here to administer timesheet application settings" and login as an Admin Superuser.  Trying to log into PR directly (not through administrator) fails, not authorized user.
Time for a service request unless there is a quick answer.
    Thanks!!!!!

  • Generate two xml reports from same execution

I need to generate a summary report and detail report from the same execution.
Detail report will record all the steps marked as Record result
Summary report to record only the steps that are of type Pass/Fail, Numeric Limit Test, MultiNumeric Limit Test and String test.
So far I have been able to generate two detail report from same execution and can save each report in separate folder.
How to get the data for summary versus detail report from the running sequence?

    Thanks for the approach.
I have created a sequence which recursively looks through the Parameters.MainSequenceResults and if StepType is one of the Test Types then displays in summary report.
On the summary report I also wanted to get the name of the subsequcenCall if that subsequence call contained a valid TestType for summary report. For example if subsequenceCall step has a Action and String type. I wanted it to display as shown in Image1.jpg below. Currently it displays as shown in Image2.jpg.
Attached is the recursive sequence that I am using.

  • Test Plan Progress report parameter

I'm trying to use the Test Plan Progress report but the Test Plan field is always empty therefore I cannot render the report.
The TFS is 2013 update 4 and I tried also with the report downloaded from MSF for Agile Software Development 2013.4 template. The cube is processed with no errors.
    Any ideas?

Looking further I noticed that the MDX query that is populating the report parameter is not returning any data.
Could this be a breaking change for the report from the last TFS update?
Below is the query generated by the report:

than second last page, any summary data, etc? Is
there anything on the trailer page? Anything in after
report trigger?Yeah there is summary data at last page as well there is trigger AFTER PARAMETER FORM which resolve lexical parameters like
