Report rows persistent color change

Greetings all,
I created a report and setup conditions so that rows will be either RED for Overdue, Yellow for within a week of being overdue and Green for all good. What is happening is when I run the report it shows the colors perfectly. If I run my mouse over them rows they change back to grey and I have to refresh the page to get them to show up again. Is there a way to make the colors persistent? So when the report is run and a row is red, it stays red and does not change again until the page is required and the criteria changes.
Thanks in advance. I don't have it on apex.oracle.com but if necessary I can put a mock up on the site.

<li>Create a copy of the report template used for the report
<li>Remove the <tt>#HIGHLIGHT_ROW#</tt> substitution string from the Before Each Row template
<li>Delete the Background color for checked/current row values from the Row Highlighting template
<li>Set the report to use the copied report template

WorkOrderList TileView Row & Selected Row Background Color Change

Hi,
     can we change the background color of WorkorderList TileView Row & Selected Row Background color ?. Actually i am trying to change the color of both in WorkOrderList but it not reflecting any color on my Agentry client. I used a style on Tile List View Data/Style.
but these applied style on Rows & Selected Rows are not working in Agentry client.
if any other alternate solution exist in Agentry, please guide me.

      Yes using Image we can achieve that goal but i want to use a background color instead of Image background. Finally I used a background color on label and set the that label field on Screen. And It's showing the background color on WorkOrderList Row & Selected Row that what i wanted. But on both Row & Selected TileView Screen showing white outline that i don't want and also i could not remove the default Selected Blue Background Color.
     Please guide me how to remove white outline and default Blue Selected Background color.

BW report iView bg color change problem

Hi All,
I created a BW report with alert Monitor entry and published in Portal(EP6.0 SP2) as an iview. Here my problem is changing default back ground color of iView(Default it shows blue/grey) and i tried this by changing theme but didn't get any luck.Is anyone having this kind of problem? Please help me in this problem because client is asking this change immediatly.

Ravi,
I think I answered the same question on the JDeveloper forum. The way it goes is that you use the inlineStyle property on the outputText component(s) of the total row. If you hard code the color then all backgrounds are identical, if you use EL to reference a managed bean method to return the color then you can have conditional color rendering

ADF Table row background color change ???

i got below sql view object

Hi,
you can do this by setting the background color of the outputText component that is the cell component e.g. in a read only table. Use the inlineStyle property to set the background-color but get the string from a managed bean. For each row you get a call to the managed bean and you can use JSF value binding
FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getApplication().createValueBinding()
to access #{row} so that you can determine the value of a row column. Based on this you return a color

This does color change but for some rows the colors are highlighted wrong and when i mouse over the rows , it changes to wrong color.

t1Data and t2Data sound like standard theme css class names.
In my example, the colouring is done by the style attribute on the TD tag. For "normal" rows:

For it, first place the cursor on the row and choose Formatting > Row. In the next dialog box, select a color (for totals, subtotals, inserted rows, or for emphasis). The system assigns a color based on the selection you make here.

Color report rows based on a value in that row

I would like to Color report rows based on a value in that row.
For examplle with the "EMP" table:
I would like job=MANAGER to be red and job=CLERK to be green etc etc
The other example I found only had the option of one color either the highlight or the default color.
I am looking for a way to do multiple colors.

In the row template, you can use #1#, #2#, etc to indicate where a field in the report needs to be output. This does not have to be plain text - ie, you can use it within style tags if you like.
So, take a query like:
SELECT EMPNO,
ENAME,
DEPTNO,
DECODE(DEPTNO, 10, 'green', 20, 'red', 30, 'cyan', 'white') BG_COLOUR
FROM EMPYou get columns 1=empno, 2=ename, 3=deptno and 4=bg_colour. In the row template, you can then do:
Before Rows setting (sets up the table):

<tr><td>ID</td><td>Name</td><td>Dept</td></tr>After Rows setting (closes the table):
</table>Row Template 1 (used for ALL rows):
<tr style="background-color:#4#;"><td>#1#</td><td>#2#</td><td>#3#</td></tr>Then, for every row, the colour that has been calculated using the DECODE function will be used in the style tag to colour the background for the entire row.
How you determine the colours is up to you. I've used DECODE here, but you could use a field on the DEPT table to hold this and use this in your SQL statement.

Can I do such things in my table? I'm working with a table which formatted subtotal. Now, I want to change the row color of each subtotal row. However, I can't find any attribute of row to do it.

I'm using OA Components Page in Oracle Application. It's .XML extension(I think you know it). I tried some ways to change the row color such as set row attribute, and change rowFormats of table like this

Change row text color if box checked

Hi. I've setup my form in a table and if a checkbox is
ticked, the background color changes along the whole row. Trouble
is, the text doesn't stand out after this color change so I also
need the text color to change from black to white when checked and
revert to black if unchecked. Anyone know how I would do this?

Creating vertical reports with alternating colored rows

I wanted to create a vertical report with alternating colored rows. Creating a vertical report template was not a problem but I am not able to use different bgcolor for alternating rows.

As I mentioned above, I used the follwoing code to generate the vertical report BUT i could not get the alternating rows in a diffrent color:

Report row highlight based on a page item

Is there a way to highlight a report row based on the value of a page item?
In my case I have a report where the application user requests data in a detail report using a column link in the master report. This loads an id number from my report into a page item (say :P8_ID for example). If this item is null, I want the report rows to all render normally (nothing is selected or the detail report has been closed). If there is an id in that field then I want the row containing the information about that item to highlight (its column link has been clicked selected it to bring up a detail report).
At first glance, this looks similar to Vikas solution (Change the Report row color when clicked but I am trying to make the connection between what has already been done and where I need to be.

After looking back, I discovered my value was being set after the report rendered. When I re-organized my calculations and the rest, it worked.

Report Row Template - header

I have made a custom "Report Row Template". I have write the "header" direct in the html code. Is that a problem if i want to translate the application? Is there a way how to use the headers from the apex?

OK, I can see now what you are trying to do. Unfortunately, the only similar example I'm familiar with - http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=11933:108 – Is also using hard coded text for the headings.
I can show you how to get to these headings, and how to use them on your template, but I'm afraid this is not a generic solution, as I couldn't find an active substitution string for the column headers.
As there isn't any variables to hold these column names, we need to define our own. You can do that using an application items or hidden page items. Let's say I defined three hidden items on my report page: P1_HD1, P1_HD2, P1_HD3. Each item will be defined with Source Type of SQL Query, and Source Use of "Only when …". The Source Value for the first item will be as follow:

I have a report and a page item on a page. I would like to somehow highlight any report rows where a particular column in the report (e.g. "Customer_ID") matches the page item (e.g. P2_CUSTOMER_ID).
Any idea how to do this?

You can also achieve this by jquery ( Please note - I just started learning jquery , so my way of doing it may not be a good way of doing it)
