Report showing labor and machine time based on standard cost estimate

Hi Friends,
Ours is an Manufacturing organisation & we have a requirement of report showing machine and labor time as per part wise & cost center wise. We need to run the report before saving standard cost estimate [CK11N] in order to see the part wise or cost center wise discrepancies in machine and labor time. If any one could help in creating such report in SAP it will be of great help.

you can jump from CK11N to a own report by
Menu Function 'Costs -> User Exit Display'
Cost Report 1 / 2 / 3
The own report can be implemented via (SMOD) enhancement SAPLXCKA
The report will be handed over the currently displayed in the program interface.
some example coding is provided for the exit.

Setup, Labor and Machine time

Hi experts,
I am from BW and need to extract data from Production Order for Setup, Labor, Machine time and Control Key for a BW report. I found these details in talbe PLPO. My question is since these are all Standard Values, it should be Master Data? I am assuming they do not change from Production Order to prod order? If it is master data, what table should I find them in?
Also, table PLPO does not have the field MATNR. How can I identify these values are for which Material in the table?

This is master data But it changes for Production order as per the Order Qty. In Routing you give this std values for Base Qty & according to this base Qty it calculates for Production ord qty. You will get the Link of Material through MAPL & PLPO table. You have to pass PLLNR field of MAPL to PLPO
For Production Order wise Confirmed values you can see in AFVV & AFVC table.
It will be helpful for you if you take help of PP consultant to understand the PP cycle.

You can maintain master data for cost centers, cost elements, activity
types, and business processes with time dependencies. You can make
changes at any time for any given time interval. Data storage also takes
place with a time reference. In this way, a master data record can have
multiple database records storing different information.
The smallest interval is one day. To ensure data consistency, you
cannotchange each field daily. The timeframes in which you can change a
field depend on the field functions, which are fixed by the SAP R/3
System and cannot be changed. Master data maintenance includes an
automatic check for each field's time-based consistency, resulting in
individual time-based maintenance for each field.

Costing sheet and standard cost estimate

I am trying to use Costing sheet for overhead calculation .
But in costing run I am not getting the overhead amount calculated .
I created the costing sheet and assigned that to valuation variant .
Where from the actual / Plan values being picked up for over head calculation .
More over I need to understand on what basis the %age for overhead can be calculted to be aborbed to material cost .
In costing run I am having ZERO values for overhead .
I have followed the following steps
Costing Sheet: Components
Define Calculation Bases
Define Percentage Overhead Rates
Define Quantity-Based Overhead Rates
Define Credits
Define Overhead Keys
Define Overhead Groups
Even then the Production overhead is not being calculated at the time of Cost Run
for standard cost estimate .

Do you enter overhead group in the material master.
Key that groups together materials to which the same overhead is applied.
Procedure
In costing with and without quantity structure, and when costing production orders and run schedule headers, you can apply percentage overhead charges by means of an overhead key if you:
Assign a costing sheet to your production order or run schedule header, or to the valuation variant for the cost estimate
Enter overhead charges in this costing sheet that use the overhead key field
Assign the overhead key to an overhead group
Enter this overhead group in the material master record of the material

You need to look into periodic reports. Here is the best one to provide the copmarision between two period -
S_ALR_87099932.
Go into the report & select the costing runs taken in two diffrent periods. You will get all the required results of prices for two periods/costing runs.

Material ledger and standard cost estimate

Hi Gurus,
When standard cost estimate is done in a scenario, where material ledger is activated, does the entire stock get revaluated andl post a credit in my P/L? Is it possible to keep my inventory(FG and SFG) at periodic unit price ie at the actual manufacturing price over a longer period say 3 years? Please fill this gap in my understanding.

Hi Vimal,
Material ledger uses the standard price as 'preliminary price' always during the current month, independent of the question if a new standard price was estimated and released.
But: After period end, when the actual price is calculated the posting will adjust the inventory and P/L accounts to the actual price, with posting date in the recent period.
That means if you have a material that was manufactured once and then consumed over a 3 year period, and during that period you calculate the same material in a standard cost estimate with changing results, that would mean: Looking back at any month during the 3 years the consumption and stock values will be valued at the actual price of manufacturing. But during the currently open period it will always be valuated at the price of the last released cost estimate.

Check the system log saved in your system.Normally the basis admin woulfd know better about this .Only they have the access and maintance for it.
Anyways u can try out some other ways also

In Month View, showing start and stop times for appointments

Hi, I want to show both the start and stop times for all appointments in my iCal Month view and have not been able to figure out how to do that. Any suggestions? - Dave

AFAIK, this is not a feature of iCal.

That means an iCal invitation has been sent. Click the small envelope icon on the bottom right of the the screen to view the notification.
There is also a little one in the line of one of my calendars?
That represents the current time of day in the Day/Week view.

Onhand report showing available and reserved quantities

we are inventory organization using Oracle Apps R12.1
Is there any reports showing onhand with Availability Details ? I mean showing free & reserved stock quantities .
If no , can any one provide sql statement or any suggestion can help ?

You can get the reserved quantity from mtl_reservations and total onhand from mtl_onhand_quantities. You can get allocated quantities from mtl_material_transactions_temp.
A better way is to use inv_quantity_tree_pvt.create_tree api. You can check INV_Quantity_Tree_PUB.Query_Quantities API returns 0 for sample code.

How do you set a start and end time based on changes in data averages?

I am making a VI to collect data from a calorimeter that will detect automatically when I have triggered the combustion by recognizing a rise in the average temperature, and then will record data from that point until it the temperature rise stops or plateaus. I have worked out how to average my data, how to write it to a file, etc. but I don't know what the best way to construct my VI to automatically respond to changes in the average would be. It seems to me that there are a number of ways to do this, but I am fairly inexperienced with LABView and don't know which is best.
Does anyone have any ideas, specific advice, or general thoughts about using fluctuations in data averages to set start and stop times for a VI?

All great points - thank you for your thoughts. You are right, I am interested in selecting a subset of my data in which the temperature is rising, not setting start and stop times.
I realize that it is difficult to give concrete advice without more information, but I'm hoping that with some clarification on my part you might be able to give a few suggestions. The calorimeter I am working with is a microbomb calorimeter, which combusts small, dry biological samples in a pressurized, oxygen environment, and it does not have a water tank or other components on other bomb calorimeters. The data I am recording is mV signal from a thermocouple ring that the microbomb rests in. To directly answer your questions, I would say I am measuring detonations, or more specifically the electrical potential generated in the thermocouple due to the temperature increase of the stainless steel bomb. The data is fairly noisy, so I have previously been averaging every 1000 data points together in order to observe the temperature increase clearly.
The only plateau in the data that I have observed that I need to deal with is at the peak of the temperature increase, when I would like to put my second timestamp/end my data subset. There is a slight lag time due to the rate that the steel heats at, so the entire measurement can take 30-40 seconds even though the combustion occurs in seconds. What I would like to do is have my VI observe and respond to the averages that it is already making, and then by some means, like an increase/decrease beyond one or two standard deviations, for example, and then set the datapoint before the increase as Time 0. Then I would like to identify the end of the temperature increase/end of the datasubset by similar means as the increase levels off. Finally, I want to integrate the curve of the increase and display the integrated value for my users.
I would appreciate any thoughts. I don't have any raw data to share, but I do have a TDMS of the averaged data from a calibration test I did combusting benzoic acid. I'm not sure how much it will help, but I'll attach it regardless.

Monitors Showing 2 and 3 times in Asset Manager

All IBM's we have show 2 and 3 monitors in device manager. I believe it is
caused by the display adapter. There is no way to permanently delete the
monitors. The problem is that because of this all 3 monitors also show in
asset manager. Is there anyway to delete these in asset manager?

Are these monitors being detected with serial numbers?
If so, are they identical serail numbers or different ones?
