Reporting for files

Is is possible to run a report looking for all the computers with a specific
file on them?

Yes, but you must enable Collect Software File Information scanning as
the file is not scanned for unless associated with an application that
is in the knowledge base.

  • Bug Report for files first opened in Bridge and then worked in Photoshop

    I encountered a problem with files first opened in Bridge and then worked in Photoshop as follows:
    1.  I opened a raw file in Bridge and then after corrections sent to Photoshop with no problem, however, after correcting and saving the file I then went back to the option of closing file and going to bridge.  It closes file and stays in Photoshop.  In order to get back to bridge I must either click on the bridge logo at bottom of screen or request to go to bridge.
    2.  I tested the same thing in CS-5 and it works like it is suppose to you click on close and go to bridge and it immediately takes you back to bridge.
    3.  Unless this is a new feature or suppose to work this way then it is a bug.

    Hi Curt
    Yes, I am talking about opening a file in bridge doing necessary corrections etc and then sending on to Photoshop.  Once I do necessary corretions and save in Photoshop my next step would be to select close and open in bridge which is a choice.  In previous Photoshops that I have used (CS4 and CS5) when you did this it would close the file and then immediately take you back to bridge.  Now under CS6  if you select close and go to bridge it closes the file but remains in Photoshop.  If bridge is not a choice when you select close and open in bridge why even have that as a choice?  Why not just select close and then click on bridge logo or Control Alt O or select go to bridge?

    According to the release notes, for the JRCHelperSample to compile, you must set the target runtime for the project.
    To do this, either create a project from scratch that uses the Tomcat 5.5 target runtime, or go to the properties menu and ensure that the target runtime is set to the application server you will be using.

  • Need to generate a Index xml file for corresponding Report PDF file.

    Need to generate a Index xml file for corresponding Report PDF file.
    Currently in fusion we are generating a pdf file using given Rtf template and dataModal source through Ess BIPJobType.xml .
    This is generating pdf successfully.
    As per requirement from Oracle GSI team, they need index xml file of corresponding generated pdf file for their own business scenario.
    Please see the following attached sample file .
    PDf file : https://kix.oraclecorp.com/KIX/uploads1/Jan-2013/354962/docs/BPA_Print_Trx-_output.pdf
    Index file : https://kix.oraclecorp.com/KIX/uploads1/Jan-2013/354962/docs/o39861053.out.idx.txt
    In R12 ,
         We are doing this through java API call to FOProcessor and build the pdf. Here is sample snapshot :

    Is there any similar java library which do the same thing in fusion .
    Note: I checked in the BIP doc http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/bi.1111/e18863/javaapis.htm#CIHHDDEH

  • Using .csv files in Crystal Reports for Eclipse?

    I recently installed crystal reports for Eclipse and much of the basic CR functionality seems to be there, but then I added a .csv file as an ODA flat file data source and I can see it in my "Data Source Explorer", but can not seem to drag it into my report to actually report on the data in this file. Am I missing some basic step?
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Not all data sources available via the Eclipse Database Explorer component are supported with Crystal Reports for Eclipse.
    CSV data sources currently isn't on the [Supported Platforms doc|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/20c69834-cfc4-2b10-da81-960222254295]

    It's actually in the LabVIEW Help and at this link.
    Search for Using Tokens in Reports in LabVIEW Help.
    Cut/Paste below:
     The following list describes the tokens available in LabVIEW.
    Token
    Description
    <tab>
    (Windows) For standard reports,
    LabVIEW indents the text to the next tab location. For HTML reports, LabVIEW
    interprets this token as <br>.
    <page>
    Current page number. LabVIEW ignores this token for HTML
    reports.
    <pages>
    Total number of pages. LabVIEW ignores this token for HTML
    reports.
    <pagenofm>
    Current page number with the total number of pages in the
    report. LabVIEW ignores this token for HTML reports.
    Example: 7 of 30
    <shortdate>
    Current date in the form xx/xx/xx.
    Example: 10/5/98
    <longdate>
    Current date in the form Day, Month and
    Date, Year.
    The month,
    date, and year order defaults to the date settings of your operating
    system.
    Example: Monday, October 05,
    1998
    <time>
    Current time in the form Hour:Minute:Second
    AM/PM.
    Defaults to the clock settings of your
    computer.
    Example: 1:58:22 PM
    <newline>
    Inserts a line break in the report.
    Hope that's what you're looking for.

  • Report Script : Parameter for file name?

    hi all,
    I am using a report script to generate a text file with budget data. This works fine in AAS console but I am automating this process by usning an ESSCMD and batch script.
    tha batch script will call the ESSCMD script which in turn executes the follwoing command
    RUNREPT 2 "RepScripName" "c:\Otputfile.txt"
    Now here I am hard coding the Output file name and location.But my requirement is that when I run the script it should prompt for file name and location.
    Any Idea on this
    Thanks

    Another solution I have tried is simply writing a small VB app that has a dialog that allows you to type in a file name or even navigate a file system directory. If I understand you correctly, you just want to be able to output the file anywhere you want. This works well and you can add more features to, just depends on if it is worth the effort. Other wise you can just write MXL and supply your script with position variables. You just need to type it in and hope you type typed it in correctly. Good luck, there are several ways to accomplish this.

    Hello Chris,
    I recommend to post this query to the [Crystal Reports Design|SAP Crystal Reports; forum.
    This forum is dedicated to topics related to the creation and design of Crystal Report documents. This includes topics such as database connectivity, parameters and parameter prompting, report formulas, record selection formulas, charting, sorting, grouping, totaling, printing, and exporting but also installation and registering.
    It is monitored by qualified technicians and you will get a faster response there.
    Also, all Crystal Reports Design queries remain in one place and thus can be easily searched in one place.

  • SQL query/report for "count of specific file type"?

    I figured this would be a good first post, as I have found every question I have had to date by browsing the forums, but I am stumped with this one. I recently expressed some concern to HR regarding the use of...lets call it "unauthorized content"
    on our network. Getting little to no response, I would like to produce a report containing a total count based on specific file type. For example, how many .mp3 files are stored on company equipment, how many torrent files (sadly, this is true), etc.
    Having very basic knowledge of SQL, I am puzzled where to start. I am currently using SCCM SP3 and SQL 2008 R2 with both basic reporting and SSRS enabled on the site.

    You'll first need to inventory those file types then here's some reports for you.
    Get the pstreports from my skydrive, import them and you can cange the file type to mp3 or whatever you need. I monitor mp3 files too.

  • Advice needed for Jasper Reports - Unacceptable File Size

    Hi,
    we are attempting to use Jasper Reports for online reporting. However, we have found that the filesize for generated reports in HTML formats are simply unacceptable. For example, a Jasper Report of 5000 records is 20MB in size! The download of such files simply takes too long. The reason we believe is due to the image rendering for 'white spaces'. Would greatly appreciate any advice on how to eradicate this problem.

    Have you tried posting this question at jasper forum:

  • Scan for file and report back if it exists

    Hello,
    I am new to scripting and trying to find a way to search for a supposed virus file named wsr[any two numbers]zt32.dll on a large group of computers. I'm not sure how or where to use Get-ChildItem -Path C:\Users -Filter ?zt32.dll -Recurse | export-csv
    C:\scripts\output\test.csv in this script.
    The below script keeps erroring out when I try messing with the Test-Path options and I'm not sure where to use Get-ChildItem or whatever to get this working. Thanks
    # Edit these variables to fit your enviroment
    # Set file to be tested for, put everything after c:\
    # “c:\Users\Default” is the example path
    $filetofind = ‘wsr*zt32.dll ‘
    # Hostnames TXT Location
    $hostnamestxt = ‘C:\scripts\computernames.txt‘
    # Destination file for Online Machines
    $onlinetxt = ‘C:\scripts\output\Machines_with_file.txt‘
    # Destination file for Offline Machines
    $offlinetxt = ‘C:\scripts\output\Offline_Machines.txt‘
    # Begin Executing Script – Do Not Edit Below This Line
    $computers = get-content “$hostnamestxt”
    write-host “———————————————-”
    write-host “Scanning hostnames from $hostnamestxt…”

    write-host “Hosts with file output location – $onlinetxt”
    write-host “Hosts that were unpingable output location – $offlinetxt”
    write-host “———————————————-”

    Although this works, it appears to be very slow. Also, the Offline machines are not getting logged. Is there a way to speed this up? I am reading about how gci is slow over UNC, but I'm going to have to research this more. Thanks
    This makes the third time you have demanded someone custom build a solution for you.  You need to step back and think about what you are doing.  The solution was provided as you asked for it.  You lack of technical experience led you to ask
    fot a now unworkable solution so you are asking for more free consulting and a new solution.
    As Bill has pointed out this should be done with AV software as just finding the fiole will accomplish nothing.  If your system is infected you need to rake more aggressive steps and you should not be trying to write a scripted solution for this kind
    of thing aunless you have the technical sjkills to understand what it is you are doing.
    All remote scan methods are very slow.  To do a local scan requires emoting to be installed and that you know how to use it,  Once remoting is installed a single line will get you the file existence.  Adding an AsJob will get you concurrent
    scanning.  You will need to learn how to use PowerShell and WMF remoting to proceed with this.  An AV scanner 2would be more valuable and it would protect you in the future.
    Also as I posted before this is a very weak construct for file scanning on a network.
    $g = get-childitem \\$computer\c$\user\*
    -recurse -ErrorActionsilentlycontinue
    |? {$_.name
    -match "wsr[0-9][0-9]zt32.dll"}
    The following will be much faster.
    $g = get-childitem \\$computer\c$\user\* -Include
    wsr*zt32.dll -recurse
    -ErrorActionsilentlycontinue
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Report for Comparison of Material Qty

    Hi All,
    I need to Develop an Interactive report for Comparison of Material Qty. ordered through Purchase requisition, ordered material through PO and corresponding Material Receipt report.
    Can Someone Give a brief description about this & fields tcode & tables regarding this report.A sample code would be much appreciated.
    Thanks & regards,
    Ravi S

    To get the material number combined with the PO text you will need the help of an ABAP programmer.  The programmer can create a report for you using the function module READ_TEXT in the function group STXD.  The tables to use are:
    STXH - STXD SAPscript text file header
    STXL - STXD SAPscript text file lines
    The selection screen should have at least the following:
    OBJECT - STXH-TDOBJECT
    NAME - STXH-TDNAME
    LANGUAGE - STXH-TDSPRAS
    TEXTID - STXH-TDID
    You find the information for these fields by going to the PO text entry screen and displaying the header information under Goto -> Header.  For materials, the object is MATERIAL, the name is "material number", the language is "EN", and the text ID is BEST.  You can use this program to get long text in lots of places like information records, purchase order texts, etc.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to create a report with data using the Crystal Reports for Java SDK

    Hi,
    How do I create a report with data that can be displayed via the Crystal Report for Java SDK and the Viewers API?
    I am writing my own report designer, and would like to use the Crystal Runtime Engine to display my report in DHTML, PDF, and Excel formats.  I can create my own report through the following code snippet:
    ReportClientDocument boReportClientDocument = new ReportClientDocument();
    boReportClientDocument.newDocument();
    However, I cannot find a way to add data elements to the report without specifying an RPT file.  Is this possible?  I seems like it is since the Eclipse Plug In allows you to specify your database parameters when creating an RPT file.
    is there a way to do this through these packages?
    com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.data
    com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.definition
    Am I forced to create a RPT file for the different table and column structures I have?
    Thank you in advance for any insights.
    Ted Jenney

    Hi Rameez,
    After working through the example code some more, and doing some more research, I remain unable to populate a report with my own data and view the report in a browser.  I realize this is a long post, but there are multiple errors I am receiving, and these are the seemingly essential ones that I am hitting.
    Modeling the Sample code from Create_Report_From_Scratch.zip to add a database table, using the following code:

    Throws the exception
    com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.lib.ReportSDKException: java.lang.NullPointerException---- Error code:-2147467259 Error code name:failed
    There was other sample code on SDN which suggested the following - adding the table after calling table.setDataFields() as in:
              String tableName = "Building";
                String fieldname = "Building_Name";
                Table oTable = new Table();
                oTable.setName(tableName);
                oTable.setAlias(tableName);
                oTable.setQualifiedName(tableName);
                oTable.setDescription(tableName) ;
                Fields fields = new Fields();
                DBField field = new DBField();
                field.setDescription(fieldname);
                field.setHeadingText(fieldname);
                field.setName(fieldname);
                field.setType(FieldValueType.stringField);
                field.setLength(40);
                fields.add(field);
                oTable.setDataFields(fields);
                oTable.setConnectionInfo(oConnectionInfo);
                rcd.getDatabaseController().addTable(oTable, null);
    This code succeeds, but it is not clear how to add that database field to a section.  If I attempt to call the following:
    FieldObject oFieldObject = new FieldObject();
                oFieldObject.setDataSourceName(field.getFormulaForm());
                oFieldObject.setFieldValueType(field.getType());
                // Now add it to the section
                oFieldObject.setLeft(3120);
                oFieldObject.setTop(120);
                oFieldObject.setWidth(1911);
                oFieldObject.setHeight(226);
                rcd.getReportDefController().getReportObjectController().add(oFieldObject, rcd.getReportDefController().getReportDefinition().getDetailArea().getSections().getSection(0), -1);
    Then I get an error (which is not unexpected)
    com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.lib.ReportDefControllerException: The field was not found.---- Error code:-2147213283 Error code name:invalidFieldObject
    How do I add one of the table.SetDataFields()  to my report to be displayed?
    Are there any other pointers or suggestions you may have?
    Thank you

    I think you may have pasted the wrong thing into the Description.
    To try and resubmit a pending report (for example if you lost your internet connection):
    #Go to about:crashes in the location bar
    #Click the latest report link to resubmit it
    If there isn't a pending crash report listed, I'm afraid you may be out of luck for that crash report.
