Reporting on 2 Tables in a single row

Question

I have two tables:
Table ItemMaster has columns item_no, description
Table Location has columns item_no, location.
The desired result is to have a single row per item showing all the locations (there are only 5 per item) on the same row .. for example:
item-a, description, location 1, location 2, location 3, location 4, location 5
item-b, description, location 1, location 2, location 3, location 4, location 5
etc.
Any ideas of how to accomplish this with a custom folder or with whatever in discoverer?

P.S. The answer is probably easy and I'm only having a blind spot on this.

Is location a integer or varchar2?
Is there a way to distinguish between the locations. You have location 1, location 2, etc.
You might be able to use the 'max' and 'decode' statements in combination to get what your looking for or create a function retrieve the location for each column.
what I'm thinking is find the max location value for a item_no for location 1. then use the max and decode to find the next lower value for location 2 and so on and so on.
