Can you give me some details to help track this down:
1. What kind of install did you perform? Custom, Typical etc. If
you did Custom, what options did you select?
2. How is this message displayed? Do you have log console turned
on in the jdeveloper.ini file?
3. How are you starting JDeveloper? From the command line or
from the Start menu?
4. Does the message appear when you start JDeveloper, or when you
try to perform a specific operation within JDeveloper?
5. Check your JDEV_HOME\lib directory and check to see if there
is an xmlparserv2.jar file.

XML Publisher Report Bursting Program ends in error
We have a report that generates the XML output (ACH notification)
In the after report we have a call to the Bursting program.
The ACH notification completes with the correct output but the bursting ends in error showing

The temp directory variable in the XML Publisher is /tmp which has all the permissions.
The control file calls the delivery method (email 123 in the example) and uses the following template

This template is defined for English language and Territory United States.

XML Report Publisher program is erroring out
Hi All,
I've customized the AR Customer Statements.
I've created a data definition as "ARXSGP" and uploded the sample_output.xml of Statement Generation Program to it. Also I've created a Data template as "ARXSGPO" and attached the data definition "ARXSGP" to it and uploaded the customized rtf file "XXHCC_CLE_F_ARCUSBALSL.rtf" and set the default output type to PDF.
As I donot wish to call the XML Report Publisher program manually every time when I Print the Statements through Print Documents-->Statements.
So I've done the below customization in ARXSGP.rdf file ie; Print Statements Report which is an Oracle Report.
I've added the below code in After Report trigger.

XL Reporter Start Up Failed - "Report Initialize" Description (667)
Hi experts,
I use SAP B1 2007 PL34. I'm trying to execute an XL reporter report and I got this message
"An Error Occurred During The Process "Report Initialize". Description(667) metainfo.XML not Found! (Please contact the administrator to fix the repository connection) XL reporter Start Up failed"
Afterwards the report open but had just the headers. I already searched through the forums but I only saw Description (666) errors, How can I resolve this ?

In order to resolve the reported issue, please try the following solution:
1. Please make sure that (a)Microsoft® .NET Framework 1.1 and (b) Microsoft® MDAC 2.7 or higher is installed in the machine, where you are running XL reporter if you have both .Net 1.1 and .Net 2.0 is installed then please refer to note no. 898635.
2. Once the error message popped up, please kill all processes of SBO and XLR, then restart. Try to see if the message still exists.
3. Goto Excel and check if the Macro Settings is correct as per note 853821.
4. Check the authorization of the folder C:Program FilesSAPSAP Business OneAddOnsXLRXLReporter to see if users have right to edit document in that folder.
5. If still you have the same issue, could you please copy a healthy Metainfo.xml from your workstation where the XL reporter is working fine to the workstation where you are facing the issue. After modifying the Database info in the Metainfo.xml file, execute XLR again.
Note: The Metainfo.xml file should be available in the following location :
C:Program FilesSAPSAP Business OneAddOnsXLRXLReporter.

Problem while starting the Jdeveloper studio
Hi,
I have installed the Jdeveloper 11.1.2.0.0.
But when I am starting the Jdeveloper Studio I am getting the error as "Unable to create an instance of the Java Virtual machine located at C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_20\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll".
I have install the JDK 6.0 Update 20 at C:\Program Files\Java Folder before installing the Jdeveoper.
And I had mention C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_20 path while installing Jdeveoper JDK location.
To test whether JDK has been install properly or not I have also tested a sample java program and it worked.So I think there is no problem for JDK.
But While starting the Jdeveloper Studio I am getting the above mentioned error.
Can Someone is aware of this error? Or face this error at any stage?
Please let me know the solution if knows

Changing the virtual memory option did not worked for me.
I have found the following solution and it worked for me.
In order to fix this type of error, go to installation_directoy\Middleware\JDeveloper\jdev\bin folder
and edit file jdev.conf.
Locate line "AddVMOption -XX:MaxPermSize=256M".
Now add another line just below this line:
AddVMOption -Xmx256M

Hi!, I want start learning how to use Jdeveloper from the very beginning. I really dont know anything about it, for example , i dont know if i need more programs than the Jdeveloper complete install to use it(ex Oracle 9i), etc, and i just encountered some topics for not so newbies users, anybody could help me and tell me a link (or a file from Jdev. complete install)where can i begin from scratch learning Jdev ? .

Getting started is tuff. I've developed in PowerBuilder, Oracle Forms, some VB and have started with JDeveloper 9.0.2. You should download Oracle 9i database from this site. You should at least install Jdeveloper 9.0.2 (do the full install). Install db and developer on seperate machines if possible. You don't need 9iAS until you are ready to test deploying a full "system". Jdeveloper comes with the ability to run you applications within the IDE (Integrated Development Environment a.k.a. JDeveloper).
Now for the hard part. JDeveloper is NOT EASY TO LEARN. Most of the postings on this site do not deal with the basics (in my opinion). There are a myriad of choices in JDeveloper on how to build your applications and so far, after a little over 4 weesk, I have yet to get anyone from Oracle or otherwise to point to documented "reasons" why one would/should use UIX-JSP, BC4J-JSP, UIX-XML or JClient web pages to solve either a general or specific business need. So good luck on trying to figure out what it all means.
Lastly, this is not VB, Oracle forms or PowerBuilder so don't try and make it that (if those are in your experience).
So, you may ask, why would I hang in there after 4 weeks of what seem like getting nowhere? I can't say, other than my instincts tell me that J2EE will be some significant part of the Software Development future.

Try to run report BBP_ATTR_XPRA400. This report does the conversion all the organisation structure attributes. Also report BBP_LOCATION_MIGRATION_SET will unlock your plant replication program, if there exists one.

I am new to SRM, and facing some problem with shopping cart.
First I have created a user with SU01, then given the role of mySAP SRM Operational Purchaser.
After that using Tcode users_gen and Create Users from Existing SU01 Users I have generated EBP user for that user.
Then in the mySAP portal I cant use any steps including Shop, Check Status, Approval or anything else.

Locations as of EBP 4.0 - plant replication
As of EBP 4.0, a business partner of type location must exist for every R/3 plant; for this reason, the plants must be replicated from all R/3 Backend systems known in the system.
The system does not start an EBP application before the replication has not been executed successfully; the program terminate themselves and the system refers to this note with an error message.
If you upgrade from BBP 2.0B or BBP 2.0C, you must first convert the old 'Shopping carts' so that the program plants described here can convert to locations. Use the BBP_TRANSFORM_SCS report for the conversion (see also note 481100).
Process:
The replication must be explicitly triggered by means of program BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL.
This program checks first whether the system in question is an upgrade system, and if necessary it checks whether XPRA BBP_ATTR_XPRA400 was terminated with errors (in this case, BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL terminates and has to be restarted after a successful run of the XPRA).
After the XPRA check, the system determines from table BBP_BACKEND_DEST all backend systems that can be accessed by RFC.
Then the system reads all locations already existing in the EBP in order
to convert any existing data in a legacy system
to obtain comparison values to avoid duplicate records (identical data records with different partner numbers)
Then the system imports the data for the plants from all back end systems determined before, compares them with the existing master records and either adds mapping entries or generates new business partners accordingly.
In upgrade systems the following activities are also carried out:
Conversion of the favorites (user-specific values for the last used business partners of the type location from table BBP_GRCPLANT_FAV)
Conversion for user attributes WRK and REQUESTER (the business partner number is added to attribute WRK, the logical backend system is added to attribute REQUESTER)
Conversion of the legacy documents (an entry with partner function 'Location' must be added to references 'Backend plant'; entries with business partner of type location as the ship-to party must be deleted and also an entry with partner function 'Location' must be added)
If all subtasks could be executed without errors, the program finally sets the transaction authorization (that is, as of this time it is possible to start 'normal' EBP transactions as, for example, the shopping cart, again).
The transaction authorization consists of a 'switch' in table T77S0 (GRPID = EBP and SEMID = LMIGR) which is delivered with value '0'.
As long as this value is not set to 'X', all EBP transactions terminate themselves.
Success/warning/error messages in program BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL are stored in application log BBP_LOCATIONS_GET (Transaction SLG1).
Setting the transaction authorization manually:
The customer can decide to set the 'switch' in table T77S0 to 'X' and to allow the work start under the following circumstances:
Only one error has occurred, this should be ignored
One of several back ends broke down during an upgrade or during an installation, and a postponement of the system start cannot be allowed.
Troubleshooting is not possible/required.
This is only a local scenario (which should actually not exist because at least an FI R/3 Backend system should exist) so that a replication of plants is not possible.
For this purpose, program BBP_LOCATION_MIGRATION_SET is availbale which sets required value 'X' in table T77S0 (if the program was started inadvertently, the original value can be restored using BBP_LOCATION_MIGRATION_RESET).
If the replication from a backend system could not be executed it is possible to repeat this step at a later time via program BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_FROM_SYSTEM for exactly this R/3 system.
If only single plants cannot be replicated (for example due to inadequately maintained data), they can be copied to the EBP after being revised with program BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_SELECTED (the program can also be used during normal operation to transfer new plants to locations).
You can also create individual locations via the Web transaction 'Managing Business Partners' and assign them to an R/3 plant.

NPE when start up JDeveloper when choose Studio Developer Role
JDeveloper was not responding. I closed the process from Task Manager. Restarted my PC. When I try to start up JDeveloper again with Studio Developer Role again, I keep on getting this NPE in Feed Back Reporting Tool, and JDeveloper is hanging, no respond. It is totally not usable. Please help.

I saw the Jdeveloper Online Demo on generating reports via a JSP Application. From the demo ,i came to understand that i need Oracle Reports also.How to obtain oracle reports separately without downloading the entire Oracle 9i DS? What is the cost involved? Should i download Oracle 9i AS too??Hi
As you mentioned you can use Oracle Reports along with
JDeveloper.
You would use JDeveloper to build the UI part either thru applet
or servlet and invoke the reports from that.
Invoking reports is very straight forward, all you would need is
the respective URL for the reports.

Utilizing XML Publisher Report Bursting Program user-variables
When running the XML Publisher Report Bursting Program against a bursting control file, I see the following in the log:

I cannot seem to get this to work in my bursting control file by referencing:
${cp:user} (note that it just returns the word 'null' here instead of the value)
nor can I get it to work in my RTF template by referencing:
<?xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX, ‘cp:user’)?>
Should this work, or I am missing something?
