Reports 10g Printing report (invoice) in Multiple printer

Recently I visited a famous electrical and tools shop. I purchased two small tool and one heavy tool .. As soon as i paid the amount at cash counter i got my invoice and the less weight two items -salesman gave to me and for the heavy weight tool ,he asked me to collect from their store.
As soon i reached store i can see that the same invoice is printed in their printer as well. And the person is ready with that heavy item . I understand items classified for delivery place (pick from showroom or store).
I would like to know how can i print - the same invoice at one in cashier printer and another in store printer at the same time.
I am trying to simulate the same in Reports 10g.(Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2)
Any lead to understand my requirement is highly appreciated.

This is just the way reports works. You can't circumvent the cache. You can however tell the reports server to clear cached files after a certain amount of time:

you can set the expiration via SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY from forms

Are you working in EBusiness Suite or another ERP app? IF so then there are already invoice reports built out of the box that you can use quite quickly.
If not then you need to find out from your users what they want to see on the invoice, then map that to the columns in tables and then write the query to extract the data.

Follow this approach.
Get NAST entry corresponding to invoice number(invoice number = objky).
insert this piece of code :
     gwa_nast-vstat = 1.
     gwa_nast-erdat = sy-datum.

     gwa_nast-usnam = sy-uname.
     gwa_nast-manue = 'X'.
     gwa_nast-vstat = 0.
     gwa_nast-LDEST = P_printername_from_selection_screen.
     CLEAR gwa_nast-datvr.
     CLEAR gwa_nast-uhrvr.
     CLEAR gwa_nast-cmfpnr.
   MOVE gwa_nast TO nast.
   PERFORM einzelnachricht_dialog IN PROGRAM rsnast00 USING sy-subrc.
   IF sy-subrc NE 0.
     PERFORM objekt_entsperren IN PROGRAM rsnast00.
     IF sy-subrc EQ 9.
       RAISE print_error_dial.
     ELSE.
       RAISE print_error.
     ENDIF.
   ENDIF.
   SET SCREEN 0.
   PERFORM objekt_entsperren IN PROGRAM rsnast00.

the above will generate a spool.

Report is needed that indicates how many invoices should be printed daily from SAP. we are printing and mailing invoices; report should detail how many need to be mailed vs. were sent edi/faxed.
How i can achive this ?

The output records can be found from table NAST. I suppose you could create a query based on it.

Formating issue in report 10g between report developer and application

I need help, I hope my description will be explicit enough for someone out there to understand. I have a comment field in report developer, the user wants it to be right justified and the length to be 200 xters, the comment is derived from a function. In report developer the comment is coming out okay, but when I put it in the application the comment is exceeding the data field. I put a filll color in the comment and it comes out like below in the application.

The most significant achievement is to render help to those* who seek.
In application, my filled is covered up to those, whereas in report developer, my filled covered all the comment line.
The comment field is variable vertically and fixed horizontally, and enclosed by vertically variable repeating frame.
This is an issue because part of the comments is chopping off when user run and print this report.

Try by setting view properties like Table or Pivot table if this is not working then attach the report to a page and set the section properties and see how it works.
If this is not working then Notes might have trimming it ;)

Send direct print to printer from client, Reports 10G, Windows environment,

We are using windows 2003 based server. Oracle Form and Report Services . Database 10g . Reports 10G.
Trying to send direct print to printer from client side using Destination Parameter : Printer.
I am getting output in pdf at client side. but direct print to printer is failed.

Make sure that the client printer is also known on the application server, since that is where the print job is generated.

Invoice Print Selected Invoices program is failing when language is not US

Hi All,
I am trying to run "Invoice Print Selected Invoices" for multiple languages.
When language in customer setup under "Account Site Information" is 'US' then EN-US: (Invoice Print Selected Invoices) is completing successfully.
But when I am changing the language from US to some other language let’s say "F”, then "FR-FR: (Invoice Print Selected Invoices)" getting submitted and it is completing in error.

Report printing in excel with multiple sheets

Hi Experts,
I am working in Oracle Reports 10g. I need to print the report in Excel....
For this i have created .JSP file and now printing in Excel(Sheet1).
My requirement is i need to print the report in multiple sheets.
For example if i run the departments report then the generated excel file should be as below
(Sheet1 - HR, Sheet2 - FINANCE, Sheet3 - MARKETING, etc.,)
How can i do this?

Invoice Print Report Add. Layout needs to be displayed after Last Page

Hi,
I am working on Invoice Print Report multiple layout Customization with RDF as Query model and created RTF using BI Publisher DEsktop and have requirement of Repeating Header on all pages, Print Page Total on all pages and Grand Total, Total Payable , Payment Options on last page. This was acheived by <?start@last-page-first:body?><?end body?>. But in one of the layout there is requirement to start new page and display some usage report for the invoice. I tried several options like using splt page break then display the custom usage report. But since I have given start last page body anything after this page is not getting picked up.
Can you please help in resolving this issue.

But when there are one page its displaying at page 1 only If there are 2 pages then its not at all diplaying in any pages.So kindly guide me regarding this.

I am using BOE XI 4.0 as an unmanaged RAS.
I am able to preview a report that has a string discrete parameter that can have multiple values. If I give it a single value. It previews fine. If I give it an empty string it prints all values which is fine. If I give it two discrete values, it displays just those two.
However, if I try printing the report to a printer:
1 parameter value - prints fine.
2 parameter values - crashes jvm
empty string parameter value - crashes jvm
I would appreciate some direction on how to do this. It works in crystal reports for eclipse.
The test jsp I am using is based off of the samples. The print test jsp is the same as the preview test with the exception of the following code differences.:

Switch from OINV to ODRF in Crystal Report layout for print the Invoice?

I have imported in Sap Business One some standard report developed by Sap with Crystal Report (like Sales Invoice).
I have try to print my Invoices and all is OK, then I have try to print a Draft Invoice and, even in this case, is all ok. Then I have open the Crystal Report designer for this print module, and the entry point is the OINV table. How can he print succesful the Draft Invoice (that is in the ODRF table ObjType = 13)? Formula Field? I don't understand!!

Hi Marco,
You only need a single Crystal report for this. Base it on a stored procedure which has two INT type parameters @DocKey and @ObjectId. Within your SQL create IF blocks to handle different @ObjectId values:
IF @ObjectId = 13 then use the invoices tables OINV/INV1 etc.
IF @ObjectId = 112 then use the draft tables ODRF/DRF1 etc.
Don't forget to put the @ symbol at the end of the parameter in the report itself. That is all that is needed to create a single report that works for both added invoices and draft invoices. You could extend the SQL to handle other @ObjectId values like 14 for AR Credit Notes and so on.

How to print report in Character mode using Oracle Developer 10g

I migrate my forms and reports from Oracle Developer 6 to Oracle Developer reports 10g,
We are using some character mode report for bill printing. But when i run these report through menu on Web i got error message like
"REP-1920: Character mode runtime incompatible with DESFORMAT of PDF, HTML, HTMLCSS, SPREADSHEET or RTF"
i don't want to change the character mode to any other mode because it effects the printing.
so how can it possible to set the mode to character and view report on Web.
pls. suggest me solution.

You have to pass the PRT file name as value for the DESFORMAT and use mode= MODE=CHARACTER.
E.g.
http://<host name>:<port>/reports/rwservlet?desformat=dflt&mode=character&.....

PrinterException when multiple threads try to print report using JRC

Iam using Crystal Report's JRC for printing reports, it works fine.
But the problem araises when i use multiple threads.
I used the following:
reportClientDocument.getPrinterOutputController().printReport(.....); to print.
I get the following exception
Caused by: java.awt.print.PrinterException: No printer named "\\ch03\printer05" could be found.
Without multiple thread it works fine.
I have been scratching my head for days on this problem, any help is very much appreciated..

If an API doesn't specifically say that it is thread safe then it isn't likely to be thread safe and the only way to approach it is to assume that it isn't.

This code works fine when the report invoke to print is developed in crystal reports version for .net 2008 or .net 2005
when trying to print a report standart getting from SAP BO 8.8.1 using this code I getting the following error:

How I can get these dll´s version for Crystal Report 2008 for SAP Business one or How I can solve this problem

Hi.

The problem is that, at first there has been a problem and the invoice was not printed but we did not notice that it was not printed.
There has to be a report, where we can see the invoices with printing errors.

Hi,
You can use the the standard Tcode:VF31.
Process the record if it has errors the line turns to red.Select the check box and click on the Log(Shift+f6)
You will be able to see the error messages for the output type:
