  • XML Report in Arabic login in Oracle apps

    Hi,
I have created a XML report in Oracle apps, the data is coming properly from english login.
But when we login from Arabic Login then report does not show any data.
The data does not come even after hard coding the values.
    Any clue for the issue..
Below is the main query in the report.
    SELECT
    PAC1.PAYROLL_ID ,
    PAC1.PAYROLL_ACTION_ID ,
    HR_PAYROLLS.DISPLAY_PERIOD_NAME(PAC1.PAYROLL_ACTION_ID) PERIOD_NAME,
    PRO.PAYROLL_NAME
    ,TO_CHAR(SYSDATE,'DD-MM-YYYY') REPORT_DATE1
    FROM pay_payrolls_f pro,
    pay_payroll_actions pac1
    ,PER_TIME_PERIODS_V V
    WHERE pac1.payroll_id = pro.payroll_id (+)
    AND pac1.effective_date BETWEEN pro.effective_start_date (+) AND pro.effective_end_date (+)
    AND DECODE( PAC1.ACTION_TYPE, 'H', NVL(pay_payroll_actions_pkg.decode_cheque_type(pac1.business_group_id), HR_GENERAL.DECODE_LOOKUP('ACTION_TYPE', PAC1.ACTION_TYPE)), 'T', DECODE(instrb(PAC1.LEGISLATIVE_PARAMETERS,'SLA_MODE=Y'), 0, HR_GENERAL.DECODE_LOOKUP('TRANSFER_TO_LEDGER', 'GL'), NULL, HR_GENERAL.DECODE_LOOKUP('TRANSFER_TO_LEDGER', 'GL'), HR_GENERAL.DECODE_LOOKUP('TRANSFER_TO_LEDGER', 'SLA')) , HR_GENERAL.DECODE_LOOKUP('ACTION_TYPE', PAC1.ACTION_TYPE)) = 'Run'
    AND PAC1.Payroll_id = 61--:P_PAYROLL_ID
    AND PAC1.time_period_id = V.time_period_id
    AND to_char(v.start_date,'MM-YYYY') = '01-2013'--:P_MONTH

in the next time use EBS related forums - https://forums.oracle.com/forums/category.jspa?categoryID=3
    BTW
looks like that for Arabic language you haven't some data
in your main query you have PER_TIME_PERIODS_V which based on HR_LOOKUPS which depend on session language
    CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW HR_LOOKUPS
    where FLV.LANGUAGE = userenv('LANG')
...so check data in HR_LOOKUPS for Arabic language
you can check it by query without PER_TIME_PERIODS_V
also you can modify your main query like
    select t.PAYROLL_ID,
           t.PAYROLL_ACTION_ID,
           t.PERIOD_NAME,
           t.PAYROLL_NAME,
           t.REPORT_DATE1
      from (SELECT PAC1.PAYROLL_ID,
                   PAC1.PAYROLL_ACTION_ID,
                   HR_PAYROLLS.DISPLAY_PERIOD_NAME(PAC1.PAYROLL_ACTION_ID) PERIOD_NAME,
                   PRO.PAYROLL_NAME,
                   TO_CHAR(SYSDATE, 'DD-MM-YYYY') REPORT_DATE1,
                   PAC1.time_period_id
              FROM pay_payrolls_f pro, pay_payroll_actions pac1
             WHERE pac1.payroll_id = pro.payroll_id(+)
               AND pac1.effective_date BETWEEN pro.effective_start_date(+) AND

                          'T',
                          DECODE(instrb(PAC1.LEGISLATIVE_PARAMETERS, 'SLA_MODE=Y'),

  • Report with Arabic Data - Export to PDF

    Hi,
I am using crystal report 2008 ( version: 12.0.0.683), The database is SQL Server 2005, connected to the database using OLE DB.
Most of my data are in ARABIC language including Tashkeelia (تنوين, Means dots, arabic formatting letters by pressing shift Key).
I can View all the data including these formatting letters by previewing or even from the application. Everything ok.
But when I export these reports to PDF by using Crystal report export engine, some additional letters are appearing in the report, and mostly spaces are converted to other letters. If I am exporting by using ADOBE PDF writter ( Printer version) all are OK.
Please tell me how can solve this issue ?
    Regards,
    Riyas

    Hello Riyas
    From your description I am not sure if this happening in the Crystal Reports designer, or from a .NET app (this forums is for .NET apps). In any case. The first thing you want to do is ensure you have the latest fixes for CR 2008. Service Pack 2 is here;
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100009038092009E/cr2008win_sp2.exe
    Then, apply Fix Pack 2.4:
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100001024152010E/cr2008_fp24.zip
    This will get yo the latest updates. If that does not help and the issue is in the CR designer, please post your query to the Report Design forum;

  • Report 6i Arabic Date alignment problem in Windows 7

    Hi
We have 6i Forms and Report and wanna run in windows 7. But we found arabic Date disaplay problem in reports. As you know arabic writting from right. But date display like 21/10/1431 and I wanna like 1431/10//21.
I tried from regional setting and change date format from report. but this is problem from system it self,
not accept right alignment. Even I install left to right patch (KB979643-x86).
    Please Help
    Thanks

Like others have said you need to run the bootcamp installer to install the drivers.
The time issue was a constant annoyance rebooting with OSX and my old XP bootcamp setup but it's gone with Windows 7 once you set your time to UTC format in the date and time properties instead of local time which OSX uses and XP couldn't support.

  • Crystal reports 2008 Arabic content export to PDF issue with JRC

    hi there,
I am using JRC  for our JAVA application, The report contains of partial Arabic & Englishand while viewing report arabic text is shown correct. While exporting to PDF, the arabic content  was reversed (reversed characterwise).
If I call from BO server and then exporting to pdf is fine. Only the problem is when we call the report from local.
Is there any fix for this issue? Please help.

No, seems you are the only having this problem.
Try downloading Process Monitor from www.sysinternals.com and filter on crw32.exe and then export and look in the logs to see if any permissions are denied or missing dependencies.
Be sure you are a local PC Administrator when installing also.

  • Oracle Reports 11.1.2 junk Arabic characters in PDF

    Hi guys,
When I generate a report with Arabic characters, they appear as junk characters.
    I did the following:
    Set NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.AR8MSWIN1256
    Include C:\WINDOWS\Fonts in REPORTS_PATH (in the Registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\KEY_OH258674538 )
Open uifont.ali and set the font alias:
       [PDF:Subset]
       "Arabic Transparent"...Bold.. ="arialbd.ttf"
       "Arabic Transparent"="arialbd.ttf"
Installed Arabic keyboard in Windows server that hosts Reports server
Changed the location to United Arab Emirates in Windows
Run the report with DESTYPE=FILE and DESFORMAT=PDF
I also tried to change the font name of the field that contains the Arabic data in the report to things like: Tahoma, Arial, Courier New, but with no luck.
    Environment Specs:
    OS: Windows 2008 R2
Oracle Reports 11.1.2 (installed on the top of Weblogic 10.3.6.0)

  • Displaying both Hindi and Arabic numerals in Oracle 10g PDF report

    Hi….
Oracle experts told us to ask “In how many ways we can do it in oracle?” instead of asking “Can we do it in Oracle?” , I need ONE way to solve the following problem, it toke to much time and I don’t know if it can be solved !
    The problem:
Can we print in - Oracle 10g reports - a PDF report with BOTH Hindi and Arabic numerals?
Well, at design time everything is fine, you can use right-to-left, left-to-right and the print preview is showing BOTH Hindi/Arabic numerals fine, but when I tried to produce it as a PDF, unfortunately its not, means its either all Hindi or all Arabic numerals !
I tried everything possible, environment variables: NLS_LANG, REPORTS_BIDI_ALGORITHM, and REPORTS_ARABIC_NUMERLS, setting Digit substitution to Context in windows regional settings, uifont.ali is modified properly according to metalink note, but nothing solved this issue!
I noticed something, when I used the DESTYPE=printer and DESNAME=PDF995 (one of the PDF printers) , it worked fine , means the problem could be in the generic PDF generator of the Oracle reports server,
But even with PDF995 you still need to feed the file name, which is not suitable for multi-user environment that need the report to be displayed via web browser.
    Does anybody face this before?

Again when its querying in the form, it comes properly as it's written.

<p>This issue can be  solved when you create the reports without needing to write any extra code.  I haven&#39;t tested this solution because I don&#39;t have any data to test it against.</p><p>First you want to make sure that you are using a UNICODE font which I&#39;m sure you are probably already doing.  Then to configure the "Right to Left" you can right click on any field and select "Format Text" or "Format Field".  You should see a "Paragraph" tab.  In there you can set the content to be "Left to Right" or "Right to Left".  The button on the right allows you to make this setting conditional on a parameter value or something like that.  I hope this helps. </p><p>Rob Horne<br /><a href="/blog/10">Rob&#39;s blog - http://diamond.businessobjects.com/blog/10</a></p>
