Reports in training

Is anyone having problems with the reporting feature in
Connect Training? We have noticed that when we pull up different
reports in Training the certificate number is different. We have
created 8 modules in for a curriculum but the only one that we
really need is Module 8 since it has the test. is there anyway to
have a complete report that shows passed or failed and anyone that
has not completed the full curriculum on one report. At this time
we are cutting and pasting 2 different reports.
thanks

The Nutshell reporting tool (by WebAssist.com) might be able
to address this one, actually. If not, you may need to write a
specific SQL query, provided you a licensed connect install.

  • Report on Training need management

    Hello,
    we have to report on training needs by employee with delivery method : we need a report to show booked and not booked for all training needs for all employees with the delivery method of the training.
    Is there a standard report? can we create a query?
    please advise
    BR,
    K.

    There is no standard report for this.
    You can create a query BUT your requirements won't be met in a single query. Report on employees booked for trainings is easy. Remember though, that ad hoc query only displays EXISTING records not records that are not there e.g. employee who ARE NOT booked to trainings with certain delivery method.
    Heres what you do: activate the Rel. BE Type/Att in V_T77KV_2 for Person (or other otypes you want to report on). You do this so that you'll have direct relationship between D and P. Remember that Delivery method is stored in the D object type not in E.
    You might have ideas on using E as start object in your infoset. Sure you can display the 'attended by' relationship between E and P but you won't be able to filter by Delivery Method because, like i said, it is stored in the D object type not E. You hear.
    Heres what you do next.
    1. Create a query for the employee population you want to report on e.g. all Permanent employees.
    2. Create infoset with starting object P. Include 034 relationship to D. And all infoytpes of D object.
    3. Create a query for all employee with that population (Permanent Employees) who have relationship P 034 D and then select the Delivery Method as parameter. The search result would show all employees who have attended that training with the delivery method you specified.
    4. You cross-check this list with the result in step 1 to get the list of employees who HAVE NOT attended the training and then wham bam thank you maam. now give me points. lol

  • Crystal reports 2008 training

    Hi Friends,
    Apologies in advance if my question belongs to other forum or group.
    Did SAP gives training on Crystal repors with some fee? I searched SAP and found NIIT is one of the partners, but when I enquired they said they won't give training.
    I want to take training on few typical areas in Crystal reports, in which I didn't have much knowledge like Custom functions/Variable scope/Arrays etc
    I am in India, Chennai. If any one tell me some way to get training from any authorized center, It would be really appreciated.
    SAP Team: Could you please give your suggestions if you have any idea
    Thanks in advance,

  • HR00 personal training history report

    Hi,
    User is running HR00 report, path: - Training and Event Management - Fixed format reports - Personal Training History.
    She selects an emplyee who already has future records in HRIS, his semi retirement beginning in 2009 is already recorded. Org unit for that future period is Semi-Retirement.
    However, at the moment employee is still active and has a 'normal' org unit.
    For some reason the report shows org unit Semi-Retirem. User runs the report selecting 'other period' and not specifying any dates. I have copied user's roles and parameters but am unable to receive any results in the report.
    Does anybody know how this report works? Why does it show future org assignment? Perhaps the selection period matters?
    Thanks,
    Monika.

    Hi there,
    Your path is different to our system and you report name is as well. I suspect a user defined menu.
    My guess is that she is obtaining the training history from a date to 31.12.9999. Often in reports, it is usual to report on some ones information as at the end of the reporting period.  Get your user to set the end date to the month before them employee retires and run the report again to see if that is happening.
    Regards
    Jules

  • Training & event management report

    The user needs to report on training courses attended and any qualifications that that provides by individual and/or by team for a selected time period.
    Currently we are using S_PH9_46000429 .
    The user has 2 issues with this report:
    1.     When she runs the report against Organisational Unit, no data is returned
    2.     When she runs it against an individual the date range used does not appear to filter correctly. Courses appear for dates outside of the current year
    Is the above report the correct one to run?  Is there another report available?

    Hi deepali,
    1. When she runs the report against Organisational Unit, no data is returned
    -- Report returns data in this case, only if an organizational unit is assigned as an attendee to a course or qualification is attached to an org unit. It does not refer to the employees belonging to that specific org unit. If you want to return data of all employees belonging to a specific org unit then use search - structure search fınctionality where person is selected.
    2. When she runs it against an individual the date range used does not appear to filter correctly. Courses appear for dates outside of the current year
    -- Report returns data of all the courses attended prior to key date specified. If "Current year" is specified, then all the courses attended and all the qualifications gained before and in the current year are listed.

  • Training & Event Management - Business event appraisal

    Dear all,
    Wish you all a very Happy new year.
    I hve two questions.
    1. For e.g. there is one trainer who has conducted many training program in an org and business event appraisal has been performed where there is criteria to capture instructor information. Then how I can get a report for that trainer only. There is one selection criteria in the report of business event appraisal where I can select the instructor(appraisee) id. But it is not working.
    2. When there are more than one instructor in one business event, then how attendee appraisal and business event appraisal are done?
    3. In training & event mgt is it possible to perform periodic appraisal?
    Thanks,
    Have a happy weekend.
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,
    There is no SAP standard report on Trainer wise attendance history for this purpose you have to define the Adhoc query.
    When there are more than one instructor in one business event it is a tough scenario to have attendee appraisal .
    In TEM it is possible to have periodic Appraisals.
    Warm Regards,

  • Connecting SAP Crystal Report with EHP6 FOR SAP ERP 6.0

    Hello Everyone!
    I have downloaded SAP Crystal Report demo 30 days and we have an IDES for "EHP6 FOR SAP ERP 6.0", how can I make some reports and train myself with crystal report?
    I don't understand how to make the connection to our SAP DB, can you help me?
    Thank  you!
    Denis

    Ok solved.
    - I assure where is the  saplogon.ini (in my case: %appdata%\SAP\Common\saplogon.ini)
    - I open the saplogon.ini with notepad and set the UTF format and than save it replacing the original one if it was not in UTF format
    - I go to : control panel>system>advanced>environment variables>system variables and I create a new one with name "SAPLOGON_INI_FILE" and path "C:\Users\....\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common\saplogon.ini";
    - Open SAP Crystal Reports 2013 (in my case) > VIEW > Preferred Viewing Locale > (here I set the language of the SAP System I am going to log on with crystal report, in my case was in english so I set English)
    - (within SAP Crystal Reports 2013) > FILE > Log On or Off Server... > Create New Connection > SAP Table, Cluster, or Function > (now it shows me all the different SAP Systems that are also in the SAP GUI Logon, choose one, set the client-username-password and then finish)
    Thank you,

  • USB Mass Storage Device won't Eject/Unmount

    My brother bought a Sanyo ICR-B180NX digital voice recorder last year to use with his iBook. It was working very well up until about August of 2005. At that point, the recorder would mount on the desktop, and he could get all the files off (it records direct to MP3 format rather than WMV, so he can edit his files very easily), but when it came time to eject it, the device icon would disappear and then immediately re-appear on the desktop. The display on the voice recorder remained static at the "Connect" screen.
    I believe this happened in conjunction with some sort of OS update, as it was a "sudden" thing. We can't quite recall what happened between the times it worked and the time it stopped working.
    I have tried the device on a PC, and it works the way it should, so I don't believe there's anything wrong with it.
    Now, I know the system requirements on the website say that you must have Windows, but a statement from a support company (we returned it to the place where we got it, and they sent it out for repairs, and it came back with a letter) states that the device does act as a generic Mass Storage device, and thus may work with most systems.
    All my other USB storage devices (ie. SanDisk 12-in-1 card reader, SanDisk Cruzer Titanium 2GB, iPod Photo), and FireWire devices (ie. WiebeTech TrayDock Extreme) work fine and unmount fine.
    Does anyone know of any changes to the way Mass Storage devices are ejected in the current iteration of the OS? I haven't had a chance to test the device under an older OS, but will soon.
    Alternately, if anyone has any suggestions regarding replacements (not really looking forward to that, given this recorder cost almost $300CAD), let me know. We need a device that can plug in via USB and transfer files to his iBook which he can edit together (he's a newspaper reporter in training, and needs to edit the interviews to take out such things like dead air, etc).
    Thanks!
    Mike Ma.

    Hi
    +USB mass storage device. An error occurred during the installation of the device the data is invalid+
    This typical error message appears if the installation of external USB devices failed.
    Why? This is not easy to say
    What you could do firstly is to clean your registry using the freeware software called CCleaner (Google for that).
    Install it and clean your OS and the registry entries.
    After cleaning access the device manager and remove all USB root hubs and all USB Host controllers from the device list and reboot the notebook.
    New reboot should cause a new installation of USB drivers.
    Finally try to connect and try to install your external USB devices again.

  • What can i replace this bind variable with in function?

    Hello
    I am creating a report showing training attended by employees. I have written a function to do the following:
    Parameters 1 - 4 is hard coded for a reason. So we dont worry about them.
    5th parameter: :START_DATE represents the date training started
    6th parameter: :END_DATE represents the date training ended.
    These date parameters are correctly used inside the select statement that the function is built upon. So don't worry that my date parameters are correct/incorrect.
    The focus should be on how you use bind variables inside Discoverer Admin. The select at the bottom runs perfectly in Toad and it allows you to use the date parameters as bind variables. But it does not allow it in Discoverer Admin
    The problem is with Parameter 5 and 6. I dont want to hard code the dates as i want the user to be able to enter his own date parameters.
    Discoverer Admin gives an error is i want to use :START_DATE and :END_DATE as parameters
    Does anyone have a solution for my problem.
    This is what the code looks like.
    SELECT apps.xxhr_fsc_training_info.xxhr_fsc_training ('A', '02','M', 'N',:START_DATE, :END_DATE)category_A_training
    , apps.xxhr_fsc_training_info.xxhr_fsc_training ('B', '02','M', 'N',:START_DATE, :END_DATE)category_B_training
    , apps.xxhr_fsc_training_info.xxhr_fsc_training ('C', '02','M', 'N',:START_DATE, :END_DATE)category_C_training
    , apps.xxhr_fsc_training_info.xxhr_fsc_training ('D', '02','M', 'N',:START_DATE, :END_DATE)category_D_training
    , apps.xxhr_fsc_training_info.xxhr_fsc_training ('E', '02','M', 'N',:START_DATE, :END_DATE)category_E_training
    , apps.xxhr_fsc_training_info.xxhr_fsc_training ('F', '02','M', 'N',:START_DATE, :END_DATE)category_F_training
    , apps.xxhr_fsc_training_info.xxhr_fsc_training ('G', '02','M', 'N',:START_DATE, :END_DATE)category_G_training

    Rod
    I have a request. The request is based on various emails written about passing parameters in Discoverer Admin/Desktop. Now if you are experienced and work with set copntext on regular basis then it should be a walk in the park. However if you are new to it like me, then it seems a daunting task. So my request is: Can't you provide us with an example of how to complete the whole process from begin to end using an actual example? I will kick off the process and maybe you can add where i left something out?
    Example:
    SELECT ENAME, HIRE_DATE
    FROM EMP
    WHERE HIRE_DATE = :IDATE;
    We want to run this select statement in Discoverer Admin, but Admin does not like the :IDATE bind variable. So now we are gonna use SET CONTEXT to find a solution to our problem.
    Step1:
    First we have to create a context namespace in the database for the Discoverer contexts. Here is the code to create the context. It is okay to also named your function EUL_DISCO as this name would work perfectly for almost everyone. Best is to do all of this in the Apps schema. Copy and paste this code in Toad and F9 it. It should compile successfully
    CREATE OR REPLACE CONTEXT eul_disco
    USING apps.eul_disco;
    Step 2:
    Now you need to create a package to enable you to set and retrieve contexts from in Discoverer. Here is the code to create the package and package body. Just copy and paste the code into Toad and F9 (execute) it to create the package.
    --Package Spec
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE eul_disco AS
    FUNCTION set_context(p_name VARCHAR2, p_value VARCHAR2) RETURN VARCHAR2;
    FUNCTION show_context(p_name VARCHAR2) RETURN VARCHAR2;
    END eul_disco;
    --Package Body
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE BODY eul_disco IS
    FUNCTION set_context(p_name VARCHAR2, p_value VARCHAR2)
    RETURN VARCHAR2 AS
    BEGIN
    dbms_session.set_context('EUL_DISCO', p_name, p_value);
    RETURN p_value;
    END set_context;
    FUNCTION show_context(p_name VARCHAR2)
    RETURN VARCHAR2 IS
    BEGIN
    RETURN SYS_CONTEXT('EUL_DISCO', p_name);
    END show_context;
    END eul_disco;
    Step3:
    Once you have created this package successfully you need to log into Discoverer Admin. Then use the menu to navigate to Tools > Register PL/SQL Function. A window called 'PL/SQL Functions' will appear. Select the 'Import...' button. A new window called 'Import PL/SQL functions' will appear. Scroll down until you see set_context function. Once you found it click OK to import it to End User Layer. Do the same to import show_context function. Remember there are two functions and you need to import them both. When you are done, click 'Apply' button. Then click 'OK' button. You can double check to make sure your functions have been imported. Just nagivate to Tools > Register PL/SQL function again. When the window 'PL/SQL Functions' appears your function(s) should be in the list on the left hand site. Scroll down untill you find them.
    Step4:
    Now it is time to set your session parameters in a separate worksheet inside Discovere Desktop from your main reports. The following steps show you how to create a worksheet to define an effective date parameter. The parameter worksheet should be based on a folder that always returns exactly one row.
    Log into Discoverer Admin. Open the Business Area you want to use. Then create "New Custom Folder..."
    Copy and paste this code (select sydate from dual) inside the New Custom Folder and validate the code. Also rename your folder to 'Set Context Folder'
    Step 5
    Next log into Discoverer Desktop and choose 'Create New Workbook'. Then choose table layout option. In the available list choose 'Set Context Folder'. When you have highlighted 'Set Context Folder' click on '>' button. Then click then 'Finish' button. Once the workbook is created you will see 1 column called Sysdate and a row with today's date in it. Save this workbook and name this workbook XYZ. You might even rename the sheet to QWE.
    Step 6:
    Still in Desktop working on XYZ workbook on QWE sheet, click on Tools > Parameters > New. In the 'Name' field enter START_DATE. Next leave 'Create condition with operator' box unticked. Next in 'Prompt' field enter START_DATE. In 'Description' field enter START_DATE. In 'Default' field enter NULL. Click OK button when you are done.
    Step 7:
    Still in Desktop working on XYZ workbook on QWE sheet, click on Tools > Calculation > New. Click on 'Functions' radio button. Then click on 'Database' folder to expand it. Scroll down till you see 'Set Context' function in the list. Select it and click 'paste >>' button. It will now show: SET_CONTEXT(P_NAME, P_VALUE). Now you need to replace the two parameters (P_NAME, P_VALUE) of the function. Replace P_NAME with 'START_DATE'. When you are done click on Items radio button. Then click on the Parameters folder and select Start_Date.
    When you are done it should look like this: SET_CONTEXT('START_DATE',TO_CHAR(:START_DATE))
    You might want to rename this calculation to START_DATE
    Ps. If you need to create two date parameters START_DATE and END_DATE then you repeat step 7 cause you need one more calculation.
    Just replace START_DATE with END_DATE. You also might want to call this second calculation END_DATE. Thus when you are done you will have 2 calculations:
    SET_CONTEXT('START_DATE',TO_CHAR(:START_DATE))
    SET_CONTEXT('END_DATE',TO_CHAR(:END_DATE))
    This is useful when you want date parameters similar to: 'where date between :Start_date and :End_date'
    Step 8:
    When you now run the XYZ workbook (QWE sheet) it will prompt you for an START_DATE. Enter 10-Jun-2009 (make sure the format you enter the date is similar to the format you have set up in discoverer). Now your XYZ workbook have 2 columns. First column is still called Sysdate with today's date. The second column is called START_DATE with 10-JUN-2009 in it.
    Step 9:
    Now you want to remove the 'SELECT SYSDATE FROM DUAL' data stored in 'SET CONTEXT FOLDER' from your XYZ workbook (QWE sheet) as you no longer need that. Still working with Desktop inside XYZ workbook on QWE sheet > click on Sheet menu option > then Edit Sheet option. On the Select Items tab click on 'Set Context Folder' and click < button to remove the folder from workbook XYZ. Click OK when done and run the workbook XYZ (sheet QWE) again. Now the workbook XYZ (sheet QWE) should only have one column called START_DATE and 10-Jun-2009 as the only row.
    Step 10:
    Rob you might want to come in here. It is also useful to create another calculation retrieving the value of the parameter, so that the value entered for the parameter can be seen when the workbook is run. Please give step by step instruction to complete this process
    Step 11:
    Still remember your initial problem where we wanted to use :IDATE in Discoverer Admin folder, but Discoverer Admin did not like the :IDATE syntax?
    SELECT ENAME, HIRE_DATE
    FROM EMP
    WHERE HIRE_DATE = :IDATE;
    Solution:
    Well now you just replace :IDATE with TO_DATE(SYS_CONTEXT('EUL_DISCO','START_DATE'))
    Log into Discoverer Admin. Open your Business Area. Then create 'New Custom Folder..'.
    Copy the code below and paste it into the new custom folder.
    Then validate the code.
    Rename the new custom folder to 'Solution'
    --copy and paste this code into folder 'Solution'
    SELECT ENAME, HIRE_DATE
    FROM EMP
    WHERE HIRE_DATE = TO_DATE(SYS_CONTEXT('EUL_DISCO','START_DATE'))
    note: 'EUL_DISCO' is the name of the context and package you created in step1
    : 'START_DATE' is the name of the calculation you did in step7
    Then log onto Discoverer Desktop > open your workbook XYZ > open sheet QWE.
    Click on Menu item called Sheet > New Sheet > choose Table layout > click next > scroll down available folders till you find SQL folder with then name 'Solution'. Select 'Solution' folder and click > then click Finish.
    The folder named 'Solution' will be used to populate the newly created sheet with data. You might want to rename the newly created sheet to 'Finally'.
    At this point workbook XYZ should have 2 sheets (QWE and Finally).
    Sheet 'QWE' contains the parameter and nothing else.
    Sheet 'Finally' displays the code found in folder 'Solution'
    First you run sheet QWE to set parameter. When prompt for a date enter '10-JUN-2009'. Click OK button.
    Then click on sheet 'Finally' to allow the parameter to take effect and do its job. You will see that only data true of 10-JUN-2009 are displayed
    Notes:
    This is a very simple example. But if you work thru this example, then you will get the concept behind the idea and would you be able to satisfy your own need.

  • User enrolled via API does not appear to be enrolled within Connect

    Posting this here because it appears I have stumped the band over at connectusers.com...
    Using the API to access our hosted account I am able to:
    Login as a user (administrator or normal user)
    Add a user
    Change user password
    List all of the SCOs that the user has access to
    List the response to the report-my-training action
    I am attempting to enroll a user by calling permission-update. It appears to work because the status returned is "ok". When I connect to the API as the user and call report-my-training the curriculum appears in the response. So far, so good.
    Next, I accessed Adobe Connect via a web browser and logged in as the user. The curriculum I thought I enrolled the user in appears in the training catalog. The first sign of trouble is that the enrollment status is reported as "You are currently not enrolled."
    If I direct the user to the curriculum using a URL like "http://hosted-account.acrobat.com/p31959044/?session=na1breezyxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" the browser is redirected to a page that shows the title of the curriculum, but nothing more (blank white page).
    What am I missing or doing wrong?

    Thank you for your reply Loren.  Unfortunately I don't currently have access to the remote side's crypto configuration, since they are an external entity.  However, I can check in and see if I can get that info.
    Hopefully this is the information that you requested:

  • ADOBE Connect Web Service Transaction ID

    Hi All,
    Hope I can make my question clear, but here goes.
    We are integrating an LMS into ADOBE Connect , so far so good. Managed to write all our intergration classes and all is working great. My question is as follows, If we launch a URL (SCO Content) the content launches and we can see the "attempt" via the report-user-training-transcripts webservice. This works well if we assume that all attempts are going to be logged and the users internet is working correctly etc.
    Is there a way when we launch to uniquely identify what the "transaction-id" will be. This means on our LMS side we know we launched with this transaction-id and when we read the transcript we can just filter for that specifictransaction-id. If there is no transaction-id this could be that the user closed before the content launched or there was a network issue.
    In short I want to know what SCO I am launching from the LMS to match the attempt with the transaction-id. I have tried to send through a custom field, but it does not pull through on the report..
    Any suggestions would help?

    Hi All,
    Hope I can make my question clear, but here goes.
