Repository views for performance chart

Greetings all,
I found this page
[http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/em.102/b16246/views.htm |http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/em.102/b16246/views.htm ]
about Oracle® Enterprise Manager Extensibility
but I can't seem to find what I want.
Can anybody tell me were I can find the information that feeds the charts on the Performance Tab? Like the "average active sessions"?
I would like to build a multi-target chart.
Thank you.
BR,
João Pinela.

Thanks for the help.

Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that all data visible via EM pages will be available from the published repository views

well they have to be somewhere, because when you open the chart you can see the values for the last hour. So the data can be obtained. And I don't think that the agent will supply be historic data. Do you agree?
you suggest this view?

MGMT$METRIC_ERROR_HISTORY

like
select * from MGMT$METRIC_ERROR_HISTORY where target_name='POR.WORLD'?
thanks.

    Hi EricvdS,
Thanks a lot, i have used the following command to get my result :
select dbid, name,t.ct qct from rc_database q,(select DB_ID,max(COMPLETION_TIME) ct from rc_backup_set where db_id in (select dbid from rc_database where name like 'IN%') group by DB_ID having to_date(max(COMPLETION_TIME),'dd-mon-yy')!=trim(sysdate) ) t where q.dbid = t. db_id and q.dbid not in ('586755576','580830361','894607119','881224701') order by 3;but after seeing your comment i again went through all the available tables and found the following to get my result :
select DB_NAME from rc_backup_set_summary where to_date(NEWEST_BACKUP_TIME,'dd-mon-yy')!=to_date(sysdate,'dd-mon-yy') and db_name like 'IN%';Both of them work properly.

  • V$ views for performance tuning

    Hi,
What are the views used for identifying sessions (top resourced) and to find highly loaded SQL statements ...apart from seeing from AWR report.?

    Hi,
As you would be on 10g or higher version of the Oracle, you can use dbms_xplan.display_cursor or display_awr function to check the explain plan.Find the sql_id for the particular sql and check the plan

  • What is the best way to replace the Inline Views for better performance ?

    Hi,
    I am using Oracle 9i ,
What is the best way to replace the Inline Views for better performance. I see there are lot of performance lacking with Inline views in my queries.
    Please suggest.

WITH plus /*+ MATERIALIZE */ hint can do good to you.
    see below the test case.
SQL> create table hx_my_tbl as select level id, 'karthick' name from dual connect by level <= 5
    2 /
    Table created.
SQL> insert into hx_my_tbl select level id, 'vimal' name from dual connect by level <= 5
    2 /
    5 rows created.
    SQL> create index hx_my_tbl_idx on hx_my_tbl(id)
    2 /
    Index created.
    SQL> commit;
    Commit complete.
    SQL> exec dbms_stats.gather_table_stats(user,'hx_my_tbl',cascade=>true)
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
Now this a normal inline view
    SQL> select a.id, b.id, a.name, b.name
    2 from (select id, name from hx_my_tbl where id = 1) a,
    3 (select id, name from hx_my_tbl where id = 1) b
    4 where a.id = b.id
    5 and a.name <> b.name
    6 /
    Execution Plan
    0 SELECT STATEMENT Optimizer=ALL_ROWS (Cost=7 Card=2 Bytes=48)
    1 0 HASH JOIN (Cost=7 Card=2 Bytes=48)
    2 1 TABLE ACCESS (BY INDEX ROWID) OF 'HX_MY_TBL' (TABLE) (Cost=3 Card=2 Bytes=24)
    3 2 INDEX (RANGE SCAN) OF 'HX_MY_TBL_IDX' (INDEX) (Cost=1 Card=2)
    4 1 TABLE ACCESS (BY INDEX ROWID) OF 'HX_MY_TBL' (TABLE) (Cost=3 Card=2 Bytes=24)
    5 4 INDEX (RANGE SCAN) OF 'HX_MY_TBL_IDX' (INDEX) (Cost=1 Card=2)
Now i use the with with the materialize hint
    SQL> with my_view as (select /*+ MATERIALIZE */ id, name from hx_my_tbl where id = 1)
    2 select a.id, b.id, a.name, b.name
    3 from my_view a,
    4 my_view b
    5 where a.id = b.id
    6 and a.name <> b.name
    7 /
    Execution Plan
    0 SELECT STATEMENT Optimizer=ALL_ROWS (Cost=8 Card=1 Bytes=46)
    1 0 TEMP TABLE TRANSFORMATION
    2 1 LOAD AS SELECT
    3 2 TABLE ACCESS (BY INDEX ROWID) OF 'HX_MY_TBL' (TABLE) (Cost=3 Card=2 Bytes=24)
    4 3 INDEX (RANGE SCAN) OF 'HX_MY_TBL_IDX' (INDEX) (Cost=1 Card=2)
    5 1 HASH JOIN (Cost=5 Card=1 Bytes=46)
    6 5 VIEW (Cost=2 Card=2 Bytes=46)
    7 6 TABLE ACCESS (FULL) OF 'SYS_TEMP_0FD9D6967_3C610F9' (TABLE (TEMP)) (Cost=2 Card=2 Bytes=24)
    8 5 VIEW (Cost=2 Card=2 Bytes=46)
    9 8 TABLE ACCESS (FULL) OF 'SYS_TEMP_0FD9D6967_3C610F9' (TABLE (TEMP)) (Cost=2 Card=2 Bytes=24)
here you can see the table is accessed only once then only the result set generated by the WITH is accessed.
    Thanks,
    Karthick.

  • Proper way to set up an InDesign document for performance?

    Hello there,
I'm wondering if I am using the product wrong, because I am having a heck of a time with the performance of my documents grinding my computer to a halt.
I'm starting a new project, it's a 92 page book. On each page will be one or two *hi-res* pieces of art, at around 450dpi. Multiply this by 92, and you get something big. In the past I have simply placed the artwork which creates a link back to the original, and update the original as needed. However the last time I did this, when I got to like page 22, the InDesign document was no longer usable, it just killed the PC (a modern one).
In that case I was placing Adobe Illustrator .ai files. Maybe that was the reason? In this case, I need to place PSD files.
So my questions are a) what's the best way to place the files and b) what format should I place the PSDs? I need to export this in PDF form for print.
Thanks for any help! It's been ages since I've done print work.

Well, there a couple of vague statements in your question, but I am going to take a quick stab at it before we get into that.
Yes, when you drop an image (photo, illustration, etc.), into an InDesign file it creates a link and you can edit the original as needed and it will be updated in the InDesign file.
First make sure you're updating the files one at a time. Select the element you want to "fix", click Edit> Edit Original and make your changes. Save the original file, then check in with the InDesign file and see that the image has updated, then move onto the next.
Second you can set up these linked files to display within InDesign as low-res versions to keep your system running faster. Give that a try also. You can set it up from View > Display Performance or by Right clicking on the image and selecting Display Performance > Fast Display.
As for the vague statements, because others will ask.
    What version of InDesign?
What type of system specifically? Processor, Ram, Video Card, Video Ram, etc.
What is it doing to your system? Locks, crashes, explodes into pieces?
    p.s.
    Why 450 dpi files?
What type of files? Tiff, PDF, JPEG, etc?

  • New IR's not appearing in Views for non-admins

We are in pre-production testing for SM 2012 SP1.  We only have a few user roles beside the built in roles.  We have a 'standard' group
which has access to just about everything except for sensitive items relating to user termination, legal, etc.  We have a group which can see those sensitive items, and then we the built in administrators.  <o:p></o:p>
When non-admins create an IR or SR, it sometimes takes up to 5 minutes for the item to show up a custom “all open incidents”
view, or in a custom “my incidents” view.  In a few isolated cases, the work item did not appear for over an hour.  However, admins can see all of these work items immediately in any view that should, by criteria, be displaying it.<o:p></o:p>
What would cause a work item to display immediately in all appropriate views for admins, but not for non-admins?<o:p></o:p>

Sorry for the delay in updating.  Our management team got very frustrated with the performance and nearly killed the whole project.  I got them to give SM another chance with R2, hoping that some of issues would be resolved.  This issue was
    not resolved.
So, I have continued testing.  I cleaned up our Queues, so we only have 4 now in the Queues list.  When I open the properties of the our custom user role, the Queue section displays our 4 queues, plus one called Work Item Group from the System
Work Item Library.  I started with selecting just 1 Incident queue, for this user role.  I created a new IR as this user, and it took nearly 15 minutes for the IR to appear in the view.
I then modified the user role and selected the "All work items can be accessed" radio button.  I created another IR and it appeared in the view immediately.  Now, this is where it gets interesting.   I went back to the user role and set it
back to display a single queue, and the IR disappeared from the view.  It didn't appear again for another 10 minutes.
The queue that is this IR should be assigned to is quite simple.  Right now, I want it to display all incidents.  It is not looking at an advanced class, just incident.  Initially, I did not upt any criteria on it at all.  I then tried
setting it to just Active Incidents, and still the IR's takes 10-15 minutes to appear.
I still don't understand what an aggressive queue is.  Does my queue sound 'aggressive?'  The view is looking at Incident (typical), not advanced.  I don't see any obvious problems in the Workflow Status section of the Admin pane.  What
should I be looking for next?  I need to have the ability to filter queues by user roles, but it will cripple productivity if new IRs do not appear for 10-15 minutes.

  • There is a view named &gantt chart in this project which cannot be overwritten

    Hello,
I'm using Project Server 2007 SP2. While opening a plan, we are getting the following error
"There is a view named &gantt chart in this project which cannot be overwritten"
However, we are not getting the same error for other plan. Is there any changes to be done in the enterprise Global? How to rectify the error? Kindly help.
    Thanks!

In addition to Guillaume's excellent answer, you should know that this problem was not caused by the project manager.  The problem was caused solely by the actions of the Project Server administrator.  The Enterprise Global file is reserved for
ONLY enterprise views, tables, filters, and groups.  For example, there is a default enterprise view named Enterprise Gantt Chart and there is a default enterprise table named Enterprise Entry.  The Project Server administrator should NEVER add local
views to the Enterprise Global, such as the Gantt Chart, Resource Sheet, etc.
So, how did the Gantt Chart view end up in the Enterprise Global?  I doubt the Project Server administrator did this intentionally.  Instead, my guess is that he/she applied the regular Gantt Chart view while he/she had the Enterprise Global file
open for editing.  If the Project Server administrator applies any local view (such as the Gantt Chart view) while he/she has the Enterprise Global file open for editing, Microsoft Project COPIES that view and its default table into the Enterprise Global
file.  So, if he/she applies the Gantt Chart view while he/she has the Enterprise Global file open, Microsoft Project copies BOTH the Gantt Chart view AND the Entry table into the Enterprise Global file, thus polluting the Enterprise Global file with
    a local view and table.
To clean up the pollution, keep in mind that your Project Server administrator will need to delete all local view AND all local tables as well.  As the article indicates, as cited by Guillaume, the problem you are facing is a common one, so welcome
    to the club!  :)
    Hope this extra helps.

  • Creating an Opaque view for generating the Action Link URL in OBIEE EBS int

Do we have to Creating an Opaque view for generating the Action Link URL in OBIEE Oracle E-Business Suite integration if we are not using BI Applications(DAC). We built our Repository on Materialized views we were using with Discoverer so I'm not sure if we have to do the part that creates an Opaque view in our integration of EBS 11i with OBIEE.
    Thanks in advance.
    Leo

    Hi Leo,
This is an example from an standard Oracle repository:
    select header_id , line_id, fnd_run_function.get_run_function_url(
    CAST(fnd_function.get_function_id('ISC_ORDINF_DETAILS_PMV') AS NUMBER),
    CAST( 'VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.RESP_APPL_ID)' AS NUMBER),
    CAST( 'VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.RESP_ID)' AS NUMBER),
    CAST( 'VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.SEC_GROUP_ID)' AS NUMBER),
    'HeaderId=' || header_id ||'&pFunctionName=ISC_ORDINF_DETAILS_PMV&pMode=NO&pageFunctionName=ISC_ORDINF_DETAILS_PMV',
    null ) LINK
    FROM isc_book_sum2_f
They use it in an opaque view, so you can reference session variables for login based on your responsibility.

  • Date Picker Result Used in Query for Flash Chart

    Hello,
I'm creating a flash chart using an SQL Query. The query uses two date pickers for the beginning and ending date of the data the query returns. For some reason the substitution string for the data pickers do not work and do not return any data. If I hard wire the start and end date to something like '12/01/2008' and '01/31/2009' the query and the flash chart work just fine. When use the string representing the data pickers (:P65_BEGIN_DATE and :P65_END_DATE) the query does not return any data. Is there some problem using substitution strings in queries for flash charts??
For what it's worth here is the query. (Look near the bottom to see where I reference the data pickers):
    SELECT 'Link',
    to_char(Day, 'Mon DD'),
    ((Count("Item Number")-Sum("Devaition"))/Count("Item Number"))*100 as "Precentage"
    from
    (SELECT
    to_date(concat(substr(F4140.PICSDJ, 1, length(F4140.PICSDJ)-3)+1900,
    substr(F4140.PICSDJ, length(F4140.PICSDJ)-2,3)), 'yyyyddd') as Day,
    F4141.PJLITM AS "Item Number",
sum(F4141.PJTQOH) AS "Sum Qty On Hand",
    sum(F4141.PJTQCT) AS "Sum Qty Counted",
    (decode(sum(F4141.PJTQOH)-sum(F4141.PJTQCT), 0, 0, 1)) as "Devaition"
    FROM F4140 INNER JOIN F4141 ON F4140.PICYNO = F4141.PJCYNO
    WHERE (((F4140.PICYCS) In ('40','50')) AND ((F4141.PJCCCD)='1'))
    GROUP BY to_date(concat(substr(F4140.PICSDJ, 1, length(F4140.PICSDJ)-3)+1900,
    substr(F4140.PICSDJ, length(F4140.PICSDJ)-2,3)), 'yyyyddd'), F4141.PJLITM
    HAVING to_date(concat(substr(F4140.PICSDJ, 1, length(F4140.PICSDJ)-3)+1900,
    substr(F4140.PICSDJ, length(F4140.PICSDJ)-2,3)), 'yyyyddd')
    between to_date(:P65_BEGIN_DATE, 'DD-Mon-YYYY') and to_date(:P65_END_DATE, 'DD-Mon-YYYY') )
    group by Day

I look at the debug output without changing anything and I am not really sure where the two date pickers are being populated. However I do have defaults set up for each datepicker of:
    P65_BEGIN_DATE: to_char(sysdate - 30, 'DD-MON-YYYY')
    P65_END_DATE: to_char(sysdate, 'DD-MON-YYYY')
and the dates I would expect show up in the date picker.
Also I created a Computation of Before Header type with the following PL/SQL expression:
    to_char(sysdate-180, 'DD-MON-YYYY')
and I see the following output when in debug mode:
    0.05: Computation point: BEFORE_HEADER
    0.05: ...Perform computation of item: P65_BEGIN_DATE, type=PLSQL_EXPRESSION
0.05: ...Session State: Save "P65_BEGIN_DATE" - saving same value: "03-AUG-2008"
    0.05: Processing point: BEFORE_HEADER
So I think the datapickers are being populated but the flash chart is still not working.
