Send Webdynporo Java request for ABAP to a specific server

Currently, we have Solution Manager 7.0 (EHP 1.0, ST @ Stack 24) installed and also have configured Service Desk Management. This is installed on our Central System Landscape which currently has 2 servers, the central instance (CI) and also a dialog instance (DI). The DI we is configured specifically for Adobe Document services.
In Service Desk when using some functionality of the work centers, we noticed that the Webdynpro send request to a ABAP work process. Sometimes this request routes to the CI and sometimes it routes to the DI. In the DI, we have it's resources (memory, CPU, wp sizing) sized small to only run Adobe Document services. I am not sure I understand how webdynpro determines which server to route the ABAP request to, and I am wondering if there is a way to control this.
Specifically I am looking for a way to direct a Webdynpro request for all Serivce desk activities to a specific server (in this case the CI). We have tried going to SICF transaction and for all the known Service Desk services using a logon group in the Load Balancing area, but this has not worked.
Anyone have an ideas/suggestions or can help clear up how this works for me?

Well.. i rebooted to safemode, and was there able to connect to both the website and the mailserver. Went back to normal mode, and removed LogMeIn Hamachi (which was set to offline and disconnected from anything, completely inactive, you'd say) and problem was solved...

A Request for help from me again! Yay!

Threads: Moving the guy around

Network: Allow others to join/play game (This is gonna be HUGE probably), while host decides on game type.

Where does moving ever get started? Why does Move extend Thread instead of implementing Runnable? (Implementing runnable is preferred and often the correct way to do it and it is in this case)
But regardless there shoud be a moving.start() somewhere or start of the Thread that has the Runnable target Move.... I don't think I see one. Unless I missed it.
so...itll work if i change the setup to Runnable?

File upload in KM throws a system exception: java.util.MissingResourceException: Can't find resource for bundle java.util.PropertyResourceBundle, key xtlt_Required

Hi All,
We are on Netweaver 7.01 SP14. (well I understand we are way behind patch levels, but a simple file upload should be working ?/)
We are trying to upload (HTML &/ Image) a file in one of the KM's public folder.
As and when we select folder and click on upload we get the below message:

Thanks for the quick reply.
I have gone through the notes 1535201 & now on 1606563 after your advise.
Both the notes says the fix is available on 7.01 after SP 07 and we are on SP 14 already.
Also just in case I did checked with our basis and they confirmed we are a head and we have the above notes in our release already.
Unfortunately the notes are not the solution to the investigation till date.

User self request for a RESOURCE

Hi Experts,
I am facing the problem to self request the user for AD resource and getting the below error
Exception java.lang.ClassCastException: java.lang.String was thrown in adapter "ADCS Create User". The Adapter Response was "java.lang.String" .Setting task status... "java.lang.String" does not correspond to a known Response Code. Using "UNKNOWN".
But in the admin console when user request for the AD resource through AccessPolicy/Resource Profile user can able to provisioning into the AD resource.

1) In process form i checked the auto populate and autosave option in this scenario administrator can easily provisioned into the AD resource and in the object form m populating organization filed.If i wont do this then i have to edit the the process form and save it, then only user can provisioned in to AD.
2) If i am not populate the fields then i am not getting the error which was sent in earlier post but showing pending status(without approval) and user not provisioned in AD.
3) In self request you don't populate the field, it stays null which results in the class cast exception in the provisioning code. as u said , in this case if i want to provision the user through Adminconsole and as well as user self request for Provisioning in AD Resource case a) From adminconsole user provisioned
b) User self request not working and showing status as pending.

I am getting this in the audit log for a Java Proxy <> XI <> RFC scenario. What could be the problem?
the configuration in integration directory seems to be perfectly fine however the message flow fails giving this error NO_RECEIVER_CASE_BE

Did you check the Message type/Message Inetrface names in the Java Proxy ?
Also check for Receiever Determinations in the configuration.
I assume that , you have created the Communication Channel under the Business System created as Standalone Java System.. If not check this.
Go to SXI_CACHE and check for the Receiever Determination created in the Configuration...

Multiple HTTP GET requests for individual classes

Hello,
I have a Java plug-in deployed under tomcat 6. JRE version is 1.6.0_16. All the required jars are deployed packed (pack.gz) and the applet tag has 'java_arguments' parameter defined as:

All the jars get loaded nicely as I see in the Tomcat access log:

but immediately I see a bunch of GET requests for the individual classes in the same log4j jar:

As you can see each of these GET requests are returned a Http error code 404. While testing locally, this isn't adding any delays, but over a real deployment it's bound to be slow down the applet loading while the server is responding to each of these class requests.
Subsequently, the application itself runs without any issues and these bogus class requests failures have no effect (thankfully) on the functionality.
Any one seen this behavior? Appreciate any thoughts or help.

Request For Enhancement: Add method mouseIn() to JComponent

I would like to propose that a new method be added to JComponent. This method would return boolean true if the mouse is currently over the JComponent and false if not. Method signature: public boolean mouseIn().
This method would make it easier to accomplish visual feedback for when the mouse is over any JComponent, similar to how rollover can be done for AbstractButton.
Currently, the best method I can come up with is to add a MouseListener that records the state from the mouseEntered() and mouseExited() events. I add my own method mouseIn() that returns that state. Then method paintComponent() can check this state by calling mouseIn() and paint the component accordingly.
At first I thought the MouseListener should be added in each and every constructor of each and every JComponent, but then realized actually, the place to provide this feedback is in the ComponentUI class for each JComponent, as part of a custom Look & Feel. What I have come up with is to add the MouseListener to the JComponent in the ComponentUI's createUI() method, recording the state in the ComponentUI instance. The problem with this is, it makes it impossible for the ComponentUI to be a singleton like most of the ComponentUI classes are for the standard L&F's. This requires that each JComponent instance have its own ComponentUI instance.
If JComponent had this proposed mouseIn() method, the ComponentUI methods could simply call this method, and the ComponentUI would not have to record JComponent-instance-specific state. There would not be a need for so many instances of ComponentUI and MouseListener.

imho this request for enhancement is much better than your other onces. In fact monitoring this state is more than just using mouseEntered(..) and mouseExited(...) - if there is a method, it must return a valid state - if mouse has entered and you make the component invisible, mouse does not exit before that takes place - if you open another application which covers this component, mouse does also not exit before, but the component stays visible - you see, there are much more things to control, to get a valid state at any time. And mouseIn() is an ugly name and says less - why not isMouseOver() or something like this?
Another thing is, why do you request this for JComponent?- Should java.awt.Component not get this feature in your opinion?

iViews used for application integration have a property called (technical name: LAF_Switch) like Send portal theme. This parameter defines if the portal will send to portal's style sheet definition. If so, the WDJ application will decide on some rules if or not to use the portal theme.
[The SAP Note 1000889|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1000889] explains how a WD application decides whether to apply the portal theme or not. The note also gives you some hints to find out why the portal theme isn't getting applied.

the schema element for this field is having different datatype than what you are receiving the data. Can you check logs and see on which column it is failing? If we know the exact xsd datatype used for the element and and value that is stored in table then we can correct the xsd accordingly. Are you using dynamic sql query or select options to get values from DB.

Make sure that you have in included xsu12.jar in the classpath. 'OracleXMLSQLNoRowsException' class is found in xsu12.jar and is bundled with XDK.
