Request_id as parameter

Hi,
Is there an easy way to get the request_id of the concurrent request to be set as value of one of its parameters?

I don't think it's possible. Because the request is not submitted yet, then how are you going to get the request_id as a concurrent request parameter ?
Also I don't see the reason why you need to pass request ID as concurrent program parameter, since to get request id, you can get it inside the program itself, such as :
- For report it's already in the report parameter as P_CONC_REQUEST_ID
- For PL/SQL you can use fnd_profile.value('CONC_REQUEST_ID') or fnd_global.request_id
- For Host Program, it's already in one of the default parameter (4th parameter = $4)

Im creating a custom form based on TEMPLATE.fmb in Oracle EBS R12.
I want to call a concurrent program (called: RVCTP) through trigger WHEN_WINDOW_CLOSED or WHEN_BOTTON_PRESSED whatever..
I'm using this function: fnd_submit.submit_program
How i can call it through the trigger ?
I tried :

Workitems in MSS UWL Inbox.

Hi All,
I have an issue in leave request application in MSS tab in UWL on portal.example employee have created two leaves ,those two leaves are visible in Manager's UWL Inbox(MSS).but when click on 1st leave or second leave,any leave request,it is showing only first leave request deatails(means latest one).
if i have 10 leaves,for all 10 leaves it showing latest one leave details,when i click the leave request.
So I want to know which backend 'Feeder class' is triggered when open the leave request.Screen shot is attached.
help me out ,it is very urgent.

Also I had to change some parameters in my Launchpad using transaction LPD_CUST
I changed Launchpad MSS/NAV folder, Time Management, Item, Leave Request Approval target application parameters and parameter matching to
Target App. Parameters: LRF_ARQ_MODE=A
Parameter Mapping:(source parameter) REQUEST_ID (target parameter) LRF_REQUEST_ID
Hopefully this will fix the error for you. We had a combined list of problems that required me to open a OSS thread and apply several notes. I have inserted some screen shots of my task and Launchpad settings as well so you can have a visual.

Pass request id as parameter to XMLP data template?

I want to be able to use the request_id of the concurrent job in the sql of a data template.
I have tried adding a parameter:
<parameter name="P_CONC_REQUEST_ID" dataType = "number" defaultValue="0" />
so I can then do:
<sqlStatement name="Q1" dataSourceRef=""><![CDATA[select 'Hello '||:XX_NAME||' '||to_char(:P_CONC_REQUEST_ID) WELCOME from dual]]></sqlStatement> for example.
In reports6i this parameter gets populated automatically at runtime. Do I have to do anything extra to get this to work with XDODTEXE?

Request set - pass parameter

I'm using EBS 12.1.3. In Receivables I've created a Request Set with 4 concurrent programs. I want the last one of the chain to accept as a parameter the request id from the previous concurrent program. Any ideas how to achieve this?

Thanks for reply. The docs you provided for me are helpful. In my case I don't want to pass a parameter which occurs in other concurrent programs in the request set but to pass the REQUEST_ID from the previous concurrent program. Request set for examle:
1). Autoinvoice Master Program with request_id = '111'
2). My Concurrent Program with parameter P_REQ_ID must accept the request_id from 1) = '111'.

How to pass entire class as a parameter in a method of other class- OpenScr

Hi Folks,
Whenever we create a script in OpenScript, it can contain only one class. However I want to declare several variables in a class/script and pass this entire class B as a parameter in a methodA of classA.
What I mean by mean that is , I create ClassB something like below

I have a stand alone program (can be used by all other users) which will accept request_id and To_Email as parameters. I am developing a new request set in which I want to incldue this stand alone program and want to pass Prog#1 request Id to the 2nd stand alone program as a parameter so that I can send the output of the Prog#1 to the users through E-mail.
Do we have any options to pass Prog#1 requeset id in to Prog#2 as a parameter in the request set without modifying the stand alone concurrent program code.
Please note that i dont want to change stand alone program code becuase this code/program was developed to work in general for all the users and I dont want to change this code for new requirement/purpose...

Dynamic Reports. Runtime parameter passing to Report Query.

I have developed a report using apex shared components (report query and report layout) along with BI Publisher for report printing in pdf format. the Report template is built using Template Builder for Word. I have configured my Apex4.1 env with BI Publisher 11.
This report is working fine for hardecode ID ( like REQUEST_ID=10 ).
to make report dynamic i have made following additions in the report
I have added
where clause in report query as WHERE REQUEST_ID = :REQUEST_ID (:REQUEST_ID is the text field in my page).
Added a text field names :REQUEST_ID to get user input at run time.
Create a button and add Repot Query URL in its properties.
When i run the report with some valid value in :REQUEST_ID text field i did not get expected result infect there is no record getting displayed in the PDF file.
i think this is not the write way to do this but interestingly im not getting any error.
please can someone guide me that how can i get this functionality in apex this way or the other ?

Hi,
the online help will help you on how to build a parameter list at all. For your desired functionality, all you need to do is to have the user pressing a button after he selected the parameters he want to assign values to and then create the parameter list in a PSLQL program unit in Forms.

Parameter passing to custom SQL query using PL/SQL FUNCTION

In order to pass a parameter to the query in custom folder of a business area I created a function and mapped it to the Custome query using Discoverer Desktop. There is no error in mapping as the system does not throw any error. When I am inputting the Parameter for the input values everytime the query doesnot return any rows.

And everytime i get the data pertaining to request id =7383588,
Please suggest where i went wrong

Error while pass parameter to procedure....

We have developed procedure with parameter ORG_ID (Number) then create executable and define program. When we execute this executable and pass ORG parameter, we get following error, pl help in this regard:

I have tried the same query and it works properly here.
I have submitted "Purge Signon Audit data" concurrent program with "Audit Date" parameter set to 01-06-2009, and here is the query output:

Logical AND in MDX Reporting Services Parameter

Hi, I would like to implement logical AND on a cube parameter. I have seen examples of hard-coded logical AND in MDX.

But I'm not sure how to apply this to a parameter's MDX dataset.
Here is an example of the automatically generated MDX which uses logical OR:

I can see there just one parameter @Department@Department in your script. But if you had two parameters that should return resultset affected by two parameters. You can do it as either select from subselect from subselect.

Report RFKLBU10: Missing Parameter for Logical filename in Release ERP 2005

Hello Experts,
Report RFKLBU10 in Sap Release 4.6c hat a parameter "Old dataset logical name".
The new version of this report in SAP Release ERP 2005 there is no such parameter.
Is this a SAP-Bug ?

There are no Export or Print events accessible for the viewer
Since it sounds like you are creating the reportdocument object in your click event, the settings on this object become out of scope on successive postbacks executed by other events.
to get around this without major changes, you can place your "report" object in session in this event and retrieve it from session on successive postbacks. This should solve your problems around navigation, printing and exporting. What you will need to do is check if the session object exists (usually in page_load or page_initialze) and if so, retrieve it from session and bind it to the viewer's reportsource. If the session object does not exist, then do nothing (ie you have not clicked your button yet that retrieves the parameter values from session and loads the report). Also, in your click event you can check if the report session object exists and if so, remove it so that it can be re-created with your new parameter values (ie i'm assuming the only time you want to set parameter values is in this event).
