Rescheduling job using v_v2

Hi All,
When I run rescheduling job of backorders using V-V2 transaction, system is considering only firmed planned order receipts even though the scope of availability check has indicator "Incl. planned orders" as 'X' (Check all planned orders).
i.e., system is proposing new dates/quantities only if I firm any planned order.
Is this the SAP standard configuration that only firmed planned orders are considered for rescheduling job?

Precoditions for V_V2:
-Shipping data should be there
-V_V2 only takes the quantities on the plant level in considaration, the quantities just on the storage location level will not considered, because the design flaw is that picking the checking rule maintained in t161vn (storage location customization) and passing it on availability check routines is missing.

Dear Friends,
Our Backorder rescheduling job runs in background every day at 2AM using program SDV03V02. Currently it is taking more than 7 hours. Need to do performance tuning ASAP. Tried to achieve by applying indexes, OSS notes 0000822884. But there is only 15min improvement after applying these.
Since this is frequently used batch job in every project. Please through some light if you come across this situation. Your immediate reply is appreciated and thanks in advance.

Install Forms in one directory (You can have reports in the same
directory).
Install oracle DB in another directory.
Don't change any file and reboot.
The listener will start automatically as a service.
(If not from a command line write "lsnrctl start" to start it).
To connect from forms/report to the DB you need to activate the
sqlnet easy config tool from the directory where forms is.
Follow the wizard to define an entry in the tnsnames.ora file
automatically.
Then you can use your forms with the DB.
(IF you get problems it usually helps to let us know the error
code you get so we can direct you in the correct direction).

Sounds like you opened and saved it in CC, so now you need to go back to CC and either complete the project there, or export to IDML to take it back into CS6.

Creating JOB using JOB API - Future Dated value for a segment

Hi
Trying to create a JOB using "hr_job_api.create_job" as of today (17-Jul-2009), with one of the segment value has the 'Date_from' as 26-Jul-2009.
API is throwing the below error
ORA-20001: FLEX-VALUE IS EXPIRED:
ORA-06512: at "APPS.HR_JOB_API", line 878
Have anyone come across this error before ?

As per the error it saying there is a problem in the DFF attached with the job, or even job kff itself, paste the whole code and whole error

Schedule Background job using transaction CATM

Hi all,
Since we cannot schedule a background job using transaction CATM, I have created a program calling the CATM transaction through batch-input.
I have done a recording and entered the coding in a Z-program. For a vendor, I have recorded time in CAT2 for multiple purchase orders.
After entering the vendor number in CATM, all the purchase orders showed up. I have clicked 'select all' and posted.
When I run the program in the background, it posts only for one purchase order.
When I run the program in the foreground, using the Select All-button it only proceeds with the first line in my list of PO's.
How to read the whole stack and post the whole stack of purchase orders?
Please help me out with this.

When I run the program in the foreground, using the Select All-button it only proceeds with the first line in my list of PO's.
See..it's a Z-program so Its difficult to answer without checking the program. But I think, you should check your BDC again from Debugging, with the help of your abaper. You will find, why its is processing only one entry.

We're planning to schedule background job using system variant, for example, current fiscal year and current posting period (transaction AFAB). Is it possible? So for example, for this month, "Posting Period" value will be 6, and then next month will be 7.

Let me explain to you about scheduler.
You can schedule a pl/sql stored procedure TEST_S as follows...

So first read about DBMS_SCHEDULER and do the work in prompt. Then you can go and schedule it even by database control.

PS: By default each job you created is disable state. Please enable it by enable procedure of DBMS_SCHEDULER package.

Getting error while trying to execute a external job using dbms_scheduler

I create a job using alpha account.

even I give the fill qualifier, still I am getting the error.

RUN_JOB requires that you be the owner of the job or have ALTER privileges on that job. You can also run a job if you have the CREATE ANY JOB privilege.So, you need to grant the required privilege:
aplha@orcl> grant alter on alpha.jps_test_executable to beta;HTH

Is it possible to schedule a job to run a procedure with "IN OUT" parameter? I would appreciate any assistance.
Proc runs if I execute it from command mode and there are no issues.

You cannot pass parameters back from a job-- Oracle spawns a separate session to run your job, so that session would receive any OUT parameters and end immediately after the job finishes. Even if Oracle let you do this, you would lose the OUT value as soon as the job ended.
If you want a job to return a status, you can-
1) Store the status in a table
2) Queue a status message in an Oracle Advanced Queue
3) Use dbms_alert to alert another process

Trigger a job using an event through a process chain

Hi,
After the success of 5metachain, I am using AND condition
My requirement is as follows, it should trigger a job which needs to be after AND condition,
I have created an event using sm64. Basically the client wants to trigger the job using the event through the process chain. I have tried test scenariou2019s using ABAP program (Process type) in the process chain but it is failing. Is there any other way to trigger a job using an event through a process chain? If ABAP program is the only option, can you please specify what all needs to be filled in the variant?

search and include the program name which you have created above in the "ABAP program" process type which you are going to include in the process chain.
Include the event which you have created in the start condition of the job.
Note: No need of give any variant, because here we are calling only one function in this program.
