hi
I used this code to reset the values in text box.
what i did is right ? please give suggestion
FacesContext ctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
Application app = ctx.getApplication();
ValueBinding bind = app.createValueBinding("#{bindings.id.inputValue}");
ValueBinding bind1 = app.createValueBinding("#{bindings.userName.inputValue}");
ValueBinding bind2 = app.createValueBinding("#{bindings.id1.inputValue}");
ValueBinding bind3 = app.createValueBinding("#{bindings.firstName.inputValue}");
ValueBinding bind4 = app.createValueBinding("#{bindings.lastName.inputValue}");
bind.setValue(ctx,null);
bind1.setValue(ctx,null);
bind2.setValue(ctx,null);
bind3.setValue(ctx,null);
bind4.setValue(ctx,null);

  • Reset the whole Component Tree?

    Hi,
    I've got 2 qeustions:
    1. How can I reset the whole Component Tree?
    2. And is it possible to destroy the User-Session for the current JSF application? If I use session.invalidate() the whole session will be destroyed, but I only want that all jsf things are resetted.
    Would be great if someone could give me a hint!

    A better way is to recreate the managed bean in the session scope.
    For example, to reset the current session instance of the backing bean MyBean which is definied as managed bean "myBean":public class MyBean {
        public void reset() {
            FacesContext
                .getCurrentInstance()
                    .getExternalContext()
                        .getSessionMap()
                            .put("myBean", new MyBean());
    }

  • Reseting the InputFile Component

    Hi,
    i have the problem that i upload a file with the help of th af:inputfile component and write it to DB with own SQL.
    Everything works fine but the component remembers the upload of the file the next time i want to upload something - it only shows the possibility to "update" the preuploaded file. But i want to upload the next one and i don't find a command to "reset" the state of this component - is there a way to set the component to "browse" again?
    I only found "RichInputFile.resetvalue()" but it has not the effect i wanted to have. The file keeps inserted in the component.
    Thanks for help!

    Make sure that you close the call file.dispos(); on the UploadFile you use to read the stream. If you have bind the af:inputFile to a bean you should also set it to null after the blob is uploaded.
         UploadedFile file = ....
         file.dispose();This should clear the filename and make the upload available for the next file.

  • The search service is not able to connect to the machine that hosts the administration component

    Hi
    After uninstalling the binaries, and reinstalling / joining back to the farm, everything seems happy expect search.
    When we try and start the Search Service back, it takes us to the Search Application section, and shows this message;
    The search service is not able to connect to the machine that hosts the administration component
    How can I get search to work again, or get around this error?
    I am pretty inexperienced with Search

    Hi  Tibsy80,
    For your issue, it can be caused by the search admin timer job was disabled.
    Run below PS command to know the status:
    Get-SPTimerJob job-application-server-admin-service | fl
    If it returns “IsDisabled: True”, ran below PS command to enable the service:
    Enable-SPTimerJob job-application-server-admin-service
    Then run below PS command to stop and start the timer and IIS reset:
    Net Stop timer
    Net start timer
    iisreset
    Then wait 1-2 min and try browsing to the SSA again.

  • How to reset the value in valueChangeListener

    I would like to reset the value in a component to its earlier value in the valueChangeListener.
    Here is an example method in the bean:
    public void valueChangeListener(ValueChangeEvent valueChangeEvent) {
    Date oldDate = (Date)valueChangeEvent.getOldValue();
    Date newDate = (Date)valueChangeEvent.getNewValue();
    if(newDate > sysdate) {
    //valueChangeEvent.getComponent().WHATEVER.setValue(oldDate)
    } else {
    valueChangeEvent.getComponent().processUpdates(FacesContext.getCurrentInstance());
    Please suggest the code that I need to put in comments.
    Note: One way to achieve this is to bind the component to the bean and do a setValue. I do not want to do this(I have master-detail tables with many rows to edit. So, this resetting should be done at row level by fetching the current row on the selected table and set).

    public void firstNameChanged(ValueChangeEvent event)
    System.out.println("FirstName changed");
    System.out.println("old value = " + event.getOldValue());
    System.out.println("new value = " + event.getNewValue());
    String oldValue = (String) event.getOldValue();
    String newValue = (String) event.getNewValue();
    RichInputText firstname = (RichInputText) event.getComponent();
    RichInputText lastname = (RichInputText) JSFUtils.findComponentInRoot("EmployeesLastName");
    firstname.setSubmittedValue(oldValue);
    firstname.setValue(oldValue);
    lastname.setSubmittedValue("lastname");
    lastname.setValue("lastname");
    AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(firstname);
    AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(lastname);
    }

  • Resetting the date and time after the phone has be...

    Hi,
    I keep having to reset the date and time very time I turn my phone off. I was thinking it was to do with the battery so I fully charged it, turned it off then turned it on again and it asks me for the date and time.
    I only noticed this because I've had exams and I have to turn my phone off for them.
    Could it be a dying internal battery?
    I know with computers there's a BIOS battery that controls date and time. When they start to die the date and time are inaccurate.
    I'll have to find time to take it to the 3-Mobile shop either on Sunday or sometime next week if it is an internal battery problem.
    Thanks,
    Omar

    Hi omar3256
    I believe that there is a very small component on the motherboard which serves this purpose, although whether battery or sort of capacitor I am not certain. The N80 especially seemed to be prone to this failure.

  • I can't see my Canon MG5220 printer... Initially I was getting "there is a communication error" so I rebooted everything, reset the printing system, reinstalled the driver and still NO luck! It seems to see the scanner, but never the printer. HELP!

    I can't see my Canon MG5220 printer... Initially I was getting "there is a communication error" so I rebooted everything, reset the printing system, reinstalled the driver and still NO luck! I see no printers available in the Print & Scan area. If I click "+" it seems to see the scanner, but never the printer. HELP!

    The printer component uses a different protocol to advertise itself on the network compared to the scanner component and it can take several seconds longer to appear after the scanner has.
    That said, with the introduction of AirPrint, the MG should be seen as Bonjour Multifunction in the Add Printer window, as shown below.
    Selecting this Bonjour Multifunction entry will create a printer using AirPrint and a scanner using the iCA driver.
    So do you see the MG5220 as Bonjour Multifunction or just Bonjour?

  • Problems resetting the model for a JTable

    Hello,
    My scenario sounds like this: from one separate thread I'm listening for users that log into the network. Those users have to be displayed in an interface that I chose to be a JTable.
    When a user/users are found the view is notified. It seems simple in principle.
    However, I receive from time to time some execeptions from the Event Dispatch Thread. The errors seem very very simple and intuitive but coming from a different thread I can't tell why they come. Another big problem is that those errors are indeterminate. I can't tell when or if they arise at all. Below is the code with the problems along with the exceptions.
    // reconstructing the model here from the peers ArrayList
    String[] columnNames = theTable.getColumnNames();
    Object[][] data = new Object[peers.size()][columnNames.length];
    for (int i = 0; i < peers.size(); i++) {
         for (int j = 0; j < Constants.userColumns; j++) {
                   if (j == 0)
                        data[i][j] = peers.get(i);

    Any idea will be highly appreciated!

    After wrapping setModel with SwingUtilities.invokeLater() (as Darryl sugested), it seems to work fine.
    I haven't received those random errors up to now (it's been two days). Hope they won't appear anymore.
    Thanks, Darryl.

  • How to reset the calendar from myfaces?

    I want to realize a "logoff" feature on my main jsp page. And that page contains a calendar component.
    I simply "redirect" main page to the login page by return a string, however when I login again, the calendar is still like the one of the last login action. Eg: in first login action, I change the current month in the calendar to January, and then I log off. After next login, the month stays January, instead of the current month!
    I tried to reset the members of backing bean, it remains the same.
    I use the component calendar from myfaces, does anyone know how to solve this problem, or simply, how to reset the component calendar?
    Thanks!

  • IPhone 3GS works fine, unless I the screen goes black after no use.  Then I'm stuck on the white screen until I reset the phone.

    The title kind of sums it up.  After having my 3GS for over a year without issue, it started acting up today.  I had my phone on my desk at work, and had been checking my e-mail, news, and web intermittently throughout the morning.  I set the phone down, in it's typical spot without issue.  No dropping, no hits, no...nothing.  Just set it on the desk and go about my work.
    The next time I pick up the phone to use it, and hit the button, I'm greeted with an all-white screen.  WTH?  If I press and hold the home button the phone makes a "dunk" soud, like maybe I'm enabling the voice feature.  Long story short, I can restart the phone, and reset the phone, and it's fine.
    UNTIL the screen goes dark from inactivity.  From that point on, it will ONLY come back in the full-white-screen mode UNTIL I reboot it again, in which case it's again functioning normally...UNTIL the screen goes black from inactivity.  I can hear the phone make text-alert noises as texts come in, my e-mail continues to download regularly, etc.  But it stays stuck in this white screen anytime the battery saver turns the screen black.
    Any ideas on this?

    So, I've received and installed a replacement digitizer screen / component.  The good news is that the digitizer works just fine!  Screen swipes, finger tracking, etc are all great.
    The bad news...is that it didn't fix my white screen issue.  Same symptoms...everything works fine at boot.  As long as I keep the screen from going dark, everything continues to work fine (rapidly consuming battery, of course).  If, at any time, the screen goes dark (get a call, accidentally press the top button to shut down the screen, etc), the screen will only come back on as a white screen.
    All touch components are working fine at this time.  I've grown to remember where the "power down" swipe is located, so I press and hold the power down button, then swipe where I know the "power down" swipe is located.  Phone will shut down.
    Restart the phone, and repeat the process.  Anyone have any other ideas?

    My older iMac running Mavericks 10.9.4 shuts down when it connects to the internet.  Resetting the SMC doesn't help.  What can I do?

    1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
    Don't be put off merely by the seeming complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You do harder tasks with the computer all the time.
    2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
    There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
    3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. As I wrote above, it changes nothing. It doesn't send or receive any data on the network. All it does is to generate a human-readable report on the state of the computer. That report goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. If you prefer, you can read it yourself without disclosing the contents to me or anyone else.
    You should be wondering whether you can believe me, and whether it's safe to run a program at the behest of a stranger. In general, no, it's not safe and I don't encourage it.
    In this case, however, there are a couple of ways for you to decide whether the program is safe without having to trust me. First, you can read it. Unlike an application that you download and click to run, it's transparent, so anyone with the necessary skill can verify what it does.
    You may not be able to understand the script yourself. But variations of the script have been posted on this website thousands of times over a period of years. The site is hosted by Apple, which does not allow it to be used to distribute harmful software. Any one of the millions of registered users could have read the script and raised the alarm if it was harmful. Then I would not be here now and you would not be reading this message.
    Nevertheless, if you can't satisfy yourself that these instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
    4. Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
    ☞ Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.
    ☞ Paste into the window of another application.
    ☞ Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
    ☞ Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.
    The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. You don't need to copy a second time. Details follow.
    5. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode, under the conditions in which the problem is reproduced. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
    6. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
    7. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.
    Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

    Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    8. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
    Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
    9. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "Syntax error" or "Event not found," enter
    exec bash
    and press return. Then paste the script again.
    10. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
    If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
    11. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
    [Process completed]
    to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
    12. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
    At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start Time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
    If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
    13. When you post the results, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "You are not authorized to post." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.
    14. This is a public forum, and others may give you advice based on the results of the test. They speak only for themselves, and I don't necessarily agree with them.

  • Reset the Value

    I have a Number:textinput component on the stage with a
    default value of 20 and a label component next to it. If a user
    types in a number >= 51 the label displays "Maximum is 50". My
    question is: How can I reset the textInput back to the default
    value if a user types in a number >= 51? Here is my function so
    far:

    >>Number(51))
    51 is already a number... you don't need to cast it.

  • I recently installed Lion on my MacBook Pro (2010). Since then, almost every time I put my mac to sleep it doesn't respond when I try to wake it up. I must say that everything seems to be working, and I recently reset the PRAM and the NVRAM.

  • Error while resetting the delta in ODS  (BI 7.0)

    Hi all,
    I face a problem in delta resetting...need your help... Thanks..
    I have an ODS-1  which has target cube1, cube2, cube3....One week back a new target has been added as ODS-2....All complete data from ODS1  has been piped into ODS 2..(Note.. ODS2 has many more inputs from other cubes/ODS too)
    NO issues till now....
    I found a data problem in ODS-1 which got loaded 15 days back..... I have removed all 15 requests from cube1, cube2 and cube3... Now I am trying to reset the delta in ODS1...
    I am getting the following error....Infoprovide ODS2 still contains request... Delete this first....
    Since ODS2 has many other data alongwith ODS1... If I try deleting request from ODS2,, I need to clean it totally and redo... I dont want to do this...
    Is there any way to disconnect this delta link between ODS1 - ODS2..... So that I will reload the data in ODS1 and populate into all targets...
    Let me know your suggestions.... Thanks!
    Regards
    Ayyappan.V

    Is there any way to disconnect this delta link between ODS1 - ODS2..... So that I will reload the data in ODS1 and populate into all targets...
    I dont think you can disconnect the link. just delete the requests originating from ODS1 in ODS2 and you can leave all other requests intact that are from other dataproviders and do a reinit.
