Resize of web pages

I'm using dreamweaver with coldfusion, herewith i've buildt
the web.
Since i do have a laptop with a wide screen, the web pages
are not
resized in Height automatically to the screen.
How can i have this problem solved since more users do
expering this problem.
i don't want to use scroll bars on the home pages

Everyone's browser is likely set at a different size. Your
best option is to
use a fluid layout, giving the width of page elements in
percentages.
The height is tpyically determined by the content and
variabls such as
browser viewport size, font size, etc.

Are you sure that you are opening the Bookmarks sidebar and aren't using the Bookmarks Menu button that show the bookmarks in a drop-down list?
Firefox has two bookmark buttons with a star in the Customize window.<br />
One star button has a drop-marker that open the Bookmark menu and may appear on the Navigation Toolbar or on the Bookmarks Toolbar if the menu bar is hidden.<br />
The other star button without the drop-marker opens the bookmarks in the sidebar (View > Sidebar > Bookmarks).
You can drag the Bookmarks menu button with the drop-marker in the Customize window from the toolbar palette on a toolbar (e.g. Navigation Toolbar or Tab Bar or to the left side of the Bookmarks Menu Items).<br />
If you do not see the drop-marker then try them both to see which works.

Resizing a web page

I have a flash movie with a button that allows the user to
click and view the movie in full screen or click another to return
to normal view. If I hosted this movie inside a web page how would
I get the the action script to resize the html file that my flash

How to resize the web page, accidently minimised the webpage, unable to resize it.

while surfing using my laptop, i have re sized the appearance(font size) of my gmail and facebook pages. Other web pages are ok. I'm now unable to re size it back and unable to use the site as the font size is too small and not readable.
Appreciate any suggestion.

Try to reset the zoom level.
View menu > Zoom > Reset
If you have the orange Firefox button, tap the Alt key to display the classic menu bar to get to the View menu.

How can I get just the text to resize, rather than the entire web page?

I used to be able to re-size just text on a webpage by typing Ctrl + +. Today, the entire webpage re-sizes, and when I move to another page it reverts. (I see this mostly in Facebook.). Why did this change, and can I go back to having just the text re-size?

Hola , i got my logo and the online company sent it in low resolution, I asked for the proper resolution for my web page and the company sent me this :
The AI (Vector) file(s) in the zip file are to be utilized for all high-res.
and commercial printing applications. It is an Adobe Illustrator file and
can only be opened and/or utilized if you have this professional design
software. All commercial printers will have access to utilize these files.
I got the adobe illustrator and I am trying to fix the logo and just can not get the size , any tip will be apprecite !

the company is giving you the vector (master) file that you can make use for web (RGB) or print (CMYK)..
logo for web, there are 2 points in here:
the size
1st. check the artwork's unit → (menu) File → Document Setup → Units → Pixels (as for web)
then resize / scale the artwork to your size needed - you can also use Width & Height value in Transform palette
the resolution (you asked for)
Ai is not like photoshop that you need to change the dpi, because the artwork is vector format ('resolution free')..
only while exporting (saving to raster) there will be dpi selection:
(menu) File → Export → Save as type (PNG / JPG) → Save → PNG or JPG Options → Resolution

I have resized the photos to use on MS Frontpage but when the thumbnails are clicked on to be enlarged in the web page they are still too large. How do I make photos usable for web page use?

What version of Elements are you using? How are you now going about creating the thumbnails and larger images? What size are you making the large ones? I suspect all you need to do is change the width and height parameters to something smaller.

How do I resize the VI in my web page?

When I publish my VI to the web, it shows up taking the entire screen. I would like to size it & place it in a table with my other web page inforamation. Also, why does the Nat. Instur. Eval logo show up at the bottom of the VI when on the web? I'm running LabView 7.0 on Windows 2000. I am currently evaluting the software.

You need to change the window size of the VI, you can do this by going to the LabVIEW menu:
File >> VI properties
Then Category >> Window Size
Under Minimum Panel Size specify the dimensions. After closing this you need to resize the VI window manually anything down to the previous specified dimensions. When you run the program the window size will be what it is currently in development mode. One thing to note also is that When you save the VI it will store its size also, which it uses when you reopen it.

If you have placed the image in Muse using File > Place and then scaled the image down in Muse while editing, then Muse publishes/exports the scaled down/optimized image in final output. When using as a Fill, the output size depends on the Fitting option you setup in the Fill options.
As for the contact form email, you would need to specify the email address for each form individually. There is no workflow to edit the same for multiple forms at a time.

The problem is when you maximize the window -- it is even bigger than the area available? Or the problem is that normal windows are always too large and have to be resized manually?

NoSquint properly resized web pages, but the upper taskbars are still too large--for instance, I can only the beginning of the URL. How to fix?

After the latest Firefox version magnified everything, I used the NoSquint add-on (at 60%), which now makes web pages look as they did before. However, although the top two bars at the top of the screen are of normal size, the lower ones are still too large. The bar that contains the URL on the left and a Google search space on the right, for instance, can display only the first couple of letters of a URL (after the //).
How do I make these bars look the way they used to? Thanks.

Hi Anne, there is a setting in Firefox that controls the scaling of both the toolbar area and the content area. I'm guessing that you have your Windows font setting at 150%. In that case, I'm going to suggest you try to manually adjust the scaling in Firefox to 125% and then set NoSquint to 80%.
Here we go!
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the filter box, type or paste '''pix''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click '''layout.css.devPixelsPerPx''' and change its value to '''1.25''' for the equivalent of 125% font size in Windows display settings.
If you view a tab with an address bar and this is not quite right you can adjust it to a different value, such as 1.2 (120%) or 1.3 (130%).
Please do not go lower than 1.0 or everything will start to get tiny.
Once that looks right, you can go back into your NoSquint settings and up your global zoom level for content to a comfortable number.

Can it be set up to automatically resize web pages so they fit to the screen when enlarged

On my HTC1x when you enlarged the web page on the phone the layout updated to fit the screen to avoid having to manually slide across the page can this be done on the Z1?

Opera Classic browser does that... and the new version of Opera also is able to do it, but it has to be in desktop mode with turbo off..
Chrome only adjust it with a single double tap
And finally the Small Browser I have in my Acro S also has text reflow when you zoom in... Maybe you can also do it with the web browser found in your Small Apps...

Part of Web page not getting displayed in IE6.0

I m facing an strange problem, my saftware was properly working in IE 5.5 but when i check it on IE 6.0 part of web page which gets loaded through a Servlet does not gets properly displayed, ie the lower portion gets hidden, to an extent of surprise if i resize page manully then it gets displayed.
i have to give demo to the client day after tommarow, if any one can help me in this context, that is how to get it rectified,

Hi,
In all probabilities thats a display problem rather than codes. Try different settings on your computer. If not try running that on someone else's comp whcih has ie6 but does not have a refresh rate problem. Even if you think that migth be code related you might try a javascript function to resize your page on the body onLoad function.

Open web page from URL iview in maximized window

Hi,
I would like to open a web page in a <b>maximized</b> browser window, using an URL iView.
I know how to open a window in a separate window, I just can't get it maximized.
N.B. I do <b>NOT</b> want to open in <b>fullscreen</b> mode, i.e. I want a title bar and menus.
Does anyone know how to do it?
I tried to play around with the "window function" property of the iView, but no luck so far. I can't specify a fixed width and height of the target window at design time, as these values may vary at runtime.

Yes, That will require Java Coding, Its true. Basically what the problem here is that to maximize we are trying to fetch the Screen resolution dynamically through Portal that Portal is not allowing us. Thats why I feel that we should go for Java Programing, Create a Par, Deploy it in the server and then create iView for that.
For Creating the Abstract Portal Component for Opening a Maximized Window You should do following steps.
1. Open Your NWDS
2. Create a project ie Portal Application
3. Create Portal Object ie Abstract Portal Component.
Now here is the piece of code that may help you

Is there a way to show my Flex mobile app in a browser? either on a web page or standalone is ok.
I'm using Flash Builder 4.6 to build a mobile app for iOs (iphone 4) and when I debug it, it shows the program in a window like the phone,
Is there a way to wrap this up and give it to someone to run in a Flash-player-browser-like window?

You can do something similar to this by using Export Release Build and instructing FB to Export as "Signed AIR Package for installation on desktop"
This will create a file that can be installed on a computer and behaves much like a debugger execution. A few caveats are that the user will need to resize the window manually to match a "phone size" and mobile features (camera, gps, accelerometer, etc) will either be unavailable or behave very differently than on an actual phone (depending on your code implementation).
Still, for most apps, this will give your audience a good feel of what your app will be like when released on the phone market/store.
