[Resolved][ODQ] Error Running Exported Batch Script Outside of ODI

Dear ODI experts,
I have Installed 10.1.3.4.0 ---> selected "Oracle Data Integrator, Oracle Data Profiling, Oracle Data Quality 10.1.3.4.0" ---> Complete (1012MB)
- follow all steps of "Design a Name and Address Cleansing Project" section in Sample Tutorial
- in "Oracle DQ User Interface", right click Projects->Quality->customer master[1]
- select "Run" from the context menu
- the background tasks completed 100% properly
- export the project as a Batch Script
- make changes to config.txt, runProjectN.cmd, and *.stx files following as specified in the Sample Tutorial document
- at step 13-f, got the following errors by executing runProjectN.cmd
Wed Nov 28 17:18:37 2007 - 03503E ERROR: Can't open file: <D:\Bin\Oracle\ODIDQ10134\demo\oracledq\projects\oracledq\project1\data/e7_us_globrtr_p2.dat>. errno = 2; N
o such file or directory Occurred in Transformer - (cl_open).
I did a full search in ODI folders and couldn't find "e7_us_globrtr_p2.dat".
I tried both export with data and export w/o data with proper change to specify input file path, and got the same error.
Appreciate any suggestions and/or hints help me further debug of fix this issue.

Roy

Solution:
Needs to modify "e9_tranfrmr_p3.stx" to point to "e6_nomatch_globrtr_p2_us.dat".

Seems to be the DRM service went down, try running the batch after stopping & restarting the service.

  • VB script to run a batch script as admin

    I have batch script the I need to run as an administrator, I created a VBscript wrapper that calls a runas and runs my batch file, however the batch file is not being elevated high enough on Windows 7 and Vista, it works fine on XP.  The batch script
    needs to create a folder in Program files, and copy the necessary files, install several programs, as well as make several registry key changes.  If I am logged in as a user with admin rights, right click on the batch file and select "Run as Administrator"
    the batch works fine.  Using the VBscript to elevate the rights, it installs the programs, but when it comes to creating the folder in Program files\Program data and Registry edits, it fails.  Is there any way to script so I can elevate the batch
    file to the same level as selecting "Run as Administrator?
    Set objShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
    objShell.Run("runas /user:domain\user \\unc\location\Install.bat"), 1, True
    WScript.Sleep 100
    oShell.Sendkeys "password~"
    Another issue, I am having with the script is that it will not send the password, I have to type it manually to test.
    The idea is to have the end user be able to click on a link from a webpage and install the program itself, as opposed for our Helpdesk be required to install the program.  So psexec is no doable as it is not on any of the PCs and user login scripts
    is not an option either, as we don't want the program install on every PC.

    Evers_Mark,
    Here is a VB Script Vall Script that will get around the Password Prompt when "RunAs" is called...
    'Start
    ' To Run other VB Scripts or even Batch Files with Admin Priviliges'
    Dim WshShell, objFSO
    suser = "[email protected]"
    sPass = "YourPassWord"
    'Put your Domain Account and Password in between the qoutes, REMEMBER! the Password will be clear text. If this is a standalone just take off the @YourDomain.com
    sCommand = "wscript \\UNCServerName\ShareFolder\YourScript.vbs"
    'This will be the path were the scripted you want called will be at. Please note you can substitute the ablove for a local directory (Example: C:\Folder\YourScript.vbs)
    Set objComputer = CreateObject("Shell.LocalMachine")
    Set WshNetwork = CreateObject("WScript.Network")
    Set WshShell = CreatObject("WScript.Shell")
    Set WshEnv = wshShell.Environment("Process")
    WinPath = WshEnv("SystemRoot")&"\System32\runas.exe"
    rc = WshShell.Run ("runas /noprofile /user:" & suser & " " $ Chr(34) & sCommand & Chr(34))
    WScript.Sleep 900
    WshShell. AppActivate(WinPath)
    WScript.quit
    'End
    I've used this myself to call up scripts with admin rights however I've not tested it with the UAC on in either Vista or 7, However works like a peach with 2000 & XP. From this point you can add in the script into Peagus's disabling the UAC Script as
    mentioned below. The usual warnings apply on the security, passwords are sent in plain text.

  • Error when exporting to flat file in ODI 11g

    This works ok in ODI 10g. I'm using IKM SQL to File Append on Windows Server 2008 R2
    Getting the following error when exporting to a flat file in ODI 11g: ODI-40406: Bytes are too big for array
    I've seen a couple of threads like this on the forum, but I've never seen an answer to the problem.

    Problem is with the difference in behaviour for the IKM SQL to File Append KM between 10g and 11g.
    Our 10g target file datastore had a mixture of fixed string and numeric columns. Mapping from the source to target was simple one to one column mapping. It generated the desired fixed format flat file; numerics were right adjusted with embedded decimal point and leading spaces. Each numeric column in the generated flat file occupied the exact space allocated to it in the layout. This gave the desired results, even though documentation for the 10g IKM states that all columns in the target must be string.
    When we converted to 11g and tried to run this interface, it generated an error on the "numeric" columns because it was wrapping them in quotation marks. The result column was being treated as string, and it was larger than the defined target once it acquired those quotation marks.
    In order to get 11g to work, I had to change all the numeric columns in the target data store to fixedstring 30. I then had to change the mapping for these numeric columns to convert them to right adjusted character strings (i.e. RIGHT(SPACE(30) + RTRIM(MyNumericColumn),30).
    Now it works.

    Hi there,
    Maybe some ideas, but it would help us more ... if we'd know your exact Portal version (as it could narrow down things) and the script you are using and how you are using it.
    + Please validate you are using the same Portal version in both Source and Target portals;
    + Please check you are using the right script from the right directory and that the Oracle Home is properly set up;
    + Let us know the 5-digit version of the Portal as it can help for more ideas.
    I hope it helps...
    Cheers,

  • Order that files are processed when running a batch script

    I have a situation where I need to process a series of PDF document that reside within a single directory (Win7 OS). Since I am creating a sequence number the order in which they are processed them is important. In this particular case it is alphabetical. I have not been able to figure out what attribute Acrobat uses to determine what order to process, but it certainly is not name, date modified, date created or size. Does anyone know how Acrobat determines the order of files to be processed or how to control that? Currently my work around is to have the process ask which files I want to process instead of specifying an input directory. Then by selecting the last file first and holding the shift key selecting the first file to process, the documents are processed in the correct order. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    What you can do, although it's a bit of a workaround, is to split your workflow into 2 parts:
    In the first you you save all of the file paths into an array using a batch.
    The second part is a folder-level script which sorts the array, and then processes all of the items in it.
    Of course, then you are limited to what can be done with a script. You can't use this method for OCRing files, for example.

    and since 'perl' will pick up files from the current working directory you can also use

    SH, Since we use Oracle we cannot use xp_cmdshell.
    When we go for External Procedures, only routines callable from C code (not C++ code) are supported.
    For your information we cannot make use of the C program in our environment.
    Is there any other possibility to run the job from within oracle database.
    Please correct if I m wrong. Kindly need your clarification asap. Thank you.

         }Now I am developing this a a client-server application on socket programming. Now after some time I need to stop that java program started by batch script. How can I do it? As per my understanding the call "Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd /c start c:\\temp\\test.bat" );" kick starts two processes. One the cmd command and another java command ran by test.bat. Now the how to relate the cmd window to the java cmd started by test.bat and how can i send a ctrl+C command to this cmd window so as to close the underlying running java program.
    Please advise.
    Thanks

    Hi Steve,
    Well, I'm having a quite different opinion on this: I would consider such an appraoch not nice but rather dirty...
    If you want users to execute (MaxL) commands against essbase but also would like to avoid installing the client software on each client box I would recommand using web services.
    User opens a browser, press a button, button (on the server side) calls a cmd (or sh) that calls the MaxL shell (on the server) that executes your maxl scripts.
    We have implemented this in two ways:
    1. over IIS (the older version, some years ago - but still running)
    2. over Apex (ever heard about it?) You need a Oracle DB where Apex is installed an running (latest Version is 4.1.1 and you should not use an older) and you need to install the essbase client software on the machine where th Oracle DB resides - However you only need to install it one time...
    If you only want to use the Oracle DB as a relais station (for you Apex Application and Web calls) you can simply install an XE on your essbase server and you have the prerequisites to get it work.
    Maybe it helps somehow.
    Regards
    Andre

  • Powershell command invoke-sqlcmd in batch script

    I have a powershell command that I want to be run in batch script. It works well in powershell window but I cannot call it properly in batch script. the powershell command goes like this:
    invoke-sqlcmd -inputfile "D:\Reports\sql.sql" -ServerInstance Server1 | export-csv "D:\RawDataFiles\Raw\samp.csv" -Force -En UTF8
    I hope somebody could help me out. Also, is it possible to include batch variable in replace of the file path for input and output file instead of putting the whole path in powershell command (stil run inside in batch script)?
    Thanks.

    I have found that works :) to run the invoke-sqlcmd within batch script:
    I have use this line:
    powershell -Command "& {Add-PSSnapin SqlServerCmdletSnapin100; Add-PSSnapin SqlServerProviderSnapin100; invoke-sqlcmd -inputfile '%sqlPath1%' -ServerInstance %Server% | export-csv '%out_path1%\%out1_fn%' -Force -En UTF8;}"
    works like charm yay! ^_^
