Resolving links for HTML email

We like to use Contribute to send HTML based email from pages
we create for our website. Problem is, Contribute uses short
addresses that are location specific (ie, image.jpg as opposed to
http://www.site.com/image.jpg).
SO that if you copy add paste the page into an email you will not
see any of the linked files. Is there a way to force COntribute to
include full addresses in the links?

Amend to below:
<td width="190" valign="middle" style="text-align: left; font-size: 10px; color: #1C3F94;"><a href="http://www.linkedin.com" target="_blank">Follow us on LinkedIn</a>
If you want to get rid of the underline add - text-decoration: none;
<td width="190" valign="middle" style="text-align: left; font-size: 10px; color: #1C3F94; text-decoration: none;"><a href="http://www.linkedin.com" target="_blank">Follow us on LinkedIn</a>

I need to find a 2010 calendar template that I can fill in special happenings and clip art to make it appealing and friendly, but also in the email format. • CSS Button Links in HTML email not working in TB

    Greetings,
Our company is creating an html email for customers and we are noticing the CSS button links don't work when viewing in Thunderbird 31 and 32 beta.
Does TB require unique coding to get these to work?
    Any assistance would be appreciated...
    -- Paul

From the point of view of a user who views received email messages in Thunderbird, it doesn't support scripting. Straight links should work and and you can attach a link to an image.
Note that Thunderbird does NOT offer active links in the Compose window. So however you create it, you won't see it as the recipient does unless you save it and view it as a draft.

  • How can you make an image an hotspot link for an email or paypal account?

I have completed my first website using fireworks first then dragging it to dreamweaver cs6. My client is ready to launch their site. Two issues. I am literally trying to hotspot link an image for an email and paypal account. A few of my friends who are also website designers are having the same issue. Can this problem be solved so I can get paid?

  • Slicing an image to be used as a nav bar for html email

The html email that I've created renders as designed in most email clients.  It doesn't in Outlook 2007.  It was suggested that I slice an image for the nav bar so it displays horizontally as designed instead of vertically.
It's been a long time since I used slicing images in Photoshop.  It doesn't appear that Image Ready is there anymore.  I use Photoshop CS3.  Is there a straightforward document that could walk me through the steps to accomplish this?  Using the Photoshop "help" confuses the heck out of me and when I asked this question in the Photoshop forum, many looked at it but I've had no responses.  Or could it be done in Dreamweaver somehow?
The web version of the html email is:  http://www.theshimogaproject.com/email/riverrun-guests-email.html

You can't use DW to slice an image. Do you have Fireworks? It's really easy to do it in Fireworks, that's what I would use. If you need to use PhotoShop, a quick Google search, "slicing images in photoshop," return plenty of tutorials that you can choose from.

  • How to send HTML emails on the emac?

Help! I need to find a quality software that allows me to send out HTML emails. I have an older eMac, running 10.3.2
This would be for HTML emails with photos, links and personalized message boxes.

The best thing I've tried is Max Bulk Mailer. Do a search for it on VersionTracker. It's about $50. or so.
If you're just looking to send one offs, you can do it with a hotmail account - just make sure you pull out the doctype tag (you should do this for any html email).

  • HTML Emails and background images in Dreamweaver

Hello.  I created a HTML email in Dreamweaver.  The original design came out of Indesign and had very specific background art.  I removed all the text out of the Indesign and created a jpg.  I took this jpg in Photoship and sliced and optimized it.  I imported this HTML into Dreamweaver.  Here I need to add in all the text (which is variable).  I was originally thinking that you can only place background images with CSS.  But I was told that you should not use CSS for HTML emails.  So instead I left all the background art as normal images inside of a table.  At this point I need to add text over these images.  They only way I could figure out to do it was to add a div tag right over the image and type into there.  This seemed to work fine but when I tested it in some emails all the div tags with text showed up under the table with images.  This needed to display over.  What is the best way to handle this issue?  Thank you in advance.
    Melanie

Sorry, but you cannot layer text over images in emails.  Simplify your design or make an image with text on it in Photoshop. Use absolute URLs to images on your web server. And give people who can't see graphics and HTML pages in their email client a link to the HTML page on your web server.

  • OT: Fixing HTML Email in Outlook 2010

Beyond all understanding, MS has confirmed that they plan to use Word's rendering engine for HTML email in Outlook 2010.  It's still in beta, and Microsoft supposedly wants our feedback.   A site has been set up to help Microsoft understand that a great many of us think this is a rather foolish decision.
You can have your say by going to:  http://fixoutlook.org/.  As of this posting, almost 19,000 people have signed on.
With any luck, MS will actually listen.

  • Place links to html-sites?

Hello, anyone know how to set the links for html sites open
in a frame with such a rollover navi?
I can find this out, having on each button a site selected.
    Here's an example:
    http://rapidshare.de/files/24665028/rollovernavi.zip.html

    Hanshagel,
I downloaded your file, but it's utterly unclear to me how
this is supposed to work. You're not using any descriptive names,
only "Sprite 16", "Shape 2", "Button 68" and so on. You don't have
actionscript in one place, many string operations and few comments.
All of this makes it really difficult for somebody else to
    understand what's going on.
All I guess is that you try to construct links by using the
text of the link, together with some base name. This somehow is
taken from the variable "currentPageUrl" which never is
initialized. Do you load this in via a Flashvar?
    Same for the variable "xmlUrl".
Maybe you can try to describe in more detail what your
problem is, or at least send a full set of files so we can try
(with the html, the xml and what else is being loaded...)
    Sorry, I really tried

  • Redirect HTML Emails

    Hello all.
I setup a rule to redirect all of my emails to another email address.
This seems to work fine except for HTML emails. When I get an HTML email, I can read it in Mail.app but format is not maintained on the redirected version. The redirected version is a block of text like this:
    SGV5LCBJIGp1c3QgZGlzY292ZXJlZCBNSU5JIGNoYW1wYWduZSB0cnVmZmxlcyENCg0KU2Vu
    dCB2aWEgQmxhY2tCZXJyeSBmcm9tIENpbmd1bGFyIFdpcmVsZXNzICANCg0KLS0tLS1Pcmln
Or it inserts something like this:
    --0-1006748620-1168392072=:40657
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
    Content-Type: text/plain;
    charset=ascii
I noticed this problem only occurs on the redirect executed by the rule. If I manually redirect an email, the formating seems to be fine.
    Any ideas!?
    I am running Mail 2.1

    anyone?

  • Why is it that now, when I click on a link for a website I've saved, it does NOT show the URL in the address bar? I can't drag it to an email to share the link.

Why is it that in these newer versions of Firefox (I have 21.0), when I open a link that I've saved, it does NOT display the URL in the address bar any more?
I can't drag and drop the link into an email, and I can't see the actual web address I'm connected to for reference OR for security purposes. Why was this changed?
It becomes necessary to reveal the properties of the URL link I've saved, using the Windows "Properties", then copying and pasting the URL into the Firefox address bar, before I can do anything with it.

No changes have been made and no problem with extensions has interfered with the URL appearing in Firefox before. Only with the last few new versions of Firefox has this cropped up. Also, the link opens correctly - it just doesn't display the URL in the address bar, instead it just reads (in gray) "Search or enter address." How could another extension interfere if Firefox is the sole program associated with .htm, .html files?
